A Dream Away 2
Sometimes we read into things
more than what is there
our desires want us to believe
what isn’t there.
Little gestures suggest things
that are not
what they were meant to mean.
Our heart clouds our mind
with what isn’t there,
still we want to believe
these things can be possible,
yet we know
that they will never be.
However, we hope our lives
are just a dream away
from what we want it to be.

Sometimes you cannot get motivated

Your mind is filled with confusion
within certain things.

Time Never Alters
We look at time begrudgingly
saying there is never enough of it
to do all the things we want to do.
When we were young, it seemed
as if time lasted forever,
but as we grew older,
there never seemed enough of it
to last us through.
Time never alters;
it is only the pace
in which we live our lives that does.
As youngsters’ time to us meant nothing,
but as we get older, we are ruled by a clock.
One day we might realise
a clock should not rule our lives,
then we will see
we have more than enough time.

Try To Remember
When you are feeling down,
try to remember all the good things you have had,
and I will bet you,
they are many more than the bad.
We tend to remember only
all the bad things in our lives,
and the good things get stored away
for a rainy day we say.
Now if we remember,
all the good things in our life,
we would not be so unhappy
when the bad things come along.

The Lonely Road
This is not the way life was supposed to be;
Where is my home sweet home, white picket fence
And happy family, nestled under the shade of a big oak tree?
I cannot even remember a time, whence
I felt even the least bit of normalcy.
Perhaps it was not meant to be-yet, that is giving up-
My life, in many ways has been fallacy,
With only two precious gifts living up
To all they were supposed to be, and ever more.
Alas, the resplendence of these two beauties I may not see,
I may only imagine their grace, and never more!
And in that, I may only fathom what, I may not be!
I did not choose this lonely road,
Nor do I know where it diverged
From the one where happiness is bestowed;
Yet, through it all, I hope I have emerged
From same, a better, more faithful man-
To be sure of things hoped for, and certain of things I cannot see
Is the small part I play in His purposeful plan!
Yet still, I aspire to heights that, for now, cannot be;
This does not mean that I should no longer hope,
Only that I need have hope, through patience;
This is how I am able to cope
With the profound pain of their absence.
Perhaps one day, I will live the glory, and the dream,
Though, for now, I bide, pray, and prepare
For my past's tragedy to render redeem-
