The Royal Review
All hail to the Empress of India, Great Britain's Queen--
Long may she live in health, happy and serene--
That came from London, far away,
To review the Scottish Volunteers in grand array:
Most magnificent to be seen,
Near by Salisbury Crags and its pastures green,
Which will long be remembered by our gracious Queen--
And by the Volunteers, that came from far away,
Because it rain'd most of the day.
And with the rain their clothes were wet all through,
On the 25th day of August, at the Royal Review.
And to the Volunteers it was no lark,
Because they were ankle deep in mud in the Queen's Park,
Which proved to the Queen they were loyal and true,
To ensure such hardships at the Royal Review.
Oh! it was a most beautiful scene
To see the Forfarshire Artillery matching past the Queen:
Her Majesty with their steady marching felt content,
Especially when their arms to her they did present.
And the Inverness Highland Volunteers seemed verygran',
And marched by steady to a man
Amongst the mud without dismay,
And the rain pouring down on them all the way.
And the bands they did play, God Save the Queen,
Near by Holyrood Palace and the Queen's Park so green.
Success to our noble Scottish Volunteers!
I hope they will be spared for many long years,
And to Her Majesty always prove loyal and true,
As they have done for the second time at the Royal Review.
To take them in general, they behaved very well,
The more that the rain fell on them pell-mell.
They marched by Her Majesty in very grand array,
Which will be remembered for many a long day,
Bidding defiance to wind and rain,
Which adds the more fame to their name.
And I hope none of them will have cause to rue
The day that they went to the Royal Review.
And I'm sure Her Majesty ought to feel proud,
And in her praise she cannot speak too loud,
Because the more that it did rain they did not mourn,
Which caused Her Majesty's heart with joy to burn,
Because she knew they were loyal and true
For enduring such hardships at the Royal Review.

An Angel stands out in a crowd,
My heart sings out loud,
An Angel leaves behind a trail of clouds,
Just as your love makes me proud,

Traversing the open sands
My feet grew weary, tied down by a demons' hands.
Fighting for every breath
I let ghosts creep down inside my chest.
Icy fingers of fear drew the warmth
From my very skin, surrounding me in a swarm.
Hated words from my youth come back
Taking lessons from Houdini has not helped me see the path.
So, I turn, and turn and turn
Wishing for something other than my soul to burn.
Finding no way out I turn to faith
Failed again there is no escape.
Until a hand pulls me from the pit
Only there is no body, no mouth with some ready quip.
Only that hand and a voice as whispered from around
Only a hand you need, you have strength to stand your ground.
And then I understood why I had to fight so hard
I am meant for something grander, said his sweet ballad.
Even if only to touch one life, one time
I'll give Him one last stand, slowly I rise from knees to feet and smile.

Come Back Down
Start to feel the emptiness
and everything I'm gonna miss
I know, that I can't hide
All this time is passing by
I think it's time to just move on
When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I'll be there for you
Don't have to be alone with what you're going through
Start to breathe and fake a smile
It's all the same after a while
I know, that you are tired
Carrying the ones you lost
A picture frame with all the thoughts
I know, you hold inside
I hope that you can find your way back
To the place where you belong

MAMMY, you’re my First School,

I think therefore I am, familiar to most?
How long did we eat the seed planted by our host?
4 billion years between our ears
Still hatred brings us many tears
Still we judge each other...
Why when were only looking for the same high?
Grind time for old misconceptions.
Roll out new scenery as per suggestion.
Wont salute you. wont desert you.
Wont be a prisoner of assumption anymore.
Does language define us? is reality... words?
How far do we appear to be...
Is the measure of... scope. but...
With our junkie soul, we face the need,
Of natures planned dependency.
