Youth And Lordship
MY young lord's the lover
Of earth and sky above,
Of youth's sway and youth's play,
Of songs and flowers and love.
Yet for love's desire
Green youth lacks the daring;
Though one dream of fire,
All his hours ensnaring,
Burns the boy past bearing—
The dream that girls inspire.
My young lord's the lover
Of every burning thought
That Love's will, that Love's skill
Within his breast has wrought.
Lovely girl, look on him
Soft as music's measure;
Yield him, when you've won him,
Joys and toys at pleasure;
But to win your treasure,
Softly look upon him.
My young lord's the lover
Of every tender grace
That woman, to woo man,
Can wear in form or face.
Take him to your bosom
Now, girl, or never;
Let not your new blossom
Of sweet kisses sever;
Only guard for ever
Your boast within your bosom.
My young lord's the lover
Of every secret thing,
Love-hidden, love-bidden
This day to banqueting.
Lovely girl, with vaunting
Never tempt to-morrow:
From all shapes enchanting
Any joy can borrow,
Still the spectre Sorrow
Rises up for haunting.
And now my lord's the lover
Of ah! so many a sweet,—
Of roses, of spouses,
As many as love may greet.

When I Was A Young Girl
(A Song of Old Ballads)
WHEN I was a young girl, all in a green arbor,
When I was a young girl in Springtimes gone by
All the long days I went singing and smiling,
Down by the roses the sweet days beguiling,
Love in the arbor and love in the sky . . .
When I was a young girl, a young girl, a young girl,
When I was a young girl, how happy was I!
Oh, the long days I must sit at my sampler,
Oh, the slow way that the still time would go!
I longed to be running across the bright heather,
'Off with the silk gown and on with the leather,
Following the raggle-taggle gypsies, oh!'
When I was a young girl, a young girl, a young girl,
When I was a young girl, a long time ago!
When I was a young girl in days that were golden,
When I was a young girl, and life had no smart,
All the world seemed a place for my playing,
Full of great lovers to come to me, saying,
'Madam, I give you the keys of my heart . . .'
When I was a young girl, a young girl, a young girl,
When I was a young girl, and dreaming apart!
When I was a young girl, I dreamed of my lover,
A tall cavalier who should whisper me low,
'Love, on your lips are red roses a-blowing,
I am your true love, and fast is time going
Am I your true love? Oh, say yes or no!'
When I was a young girl, a young girl, a young girl–
When I was a young girl, a long time ago!
When I was a young girl there came my true lover,
Swiftly I knew him in glad days gone by;
Never a sword or a lovelock or feather,
But oh, at his touch 'twas our hearts came together,
Love in the arbor and love in the sky . . .
When I was a young girl, a young girl, a young girl,
When I was a young girl, how happy was I!

A Flower For My Coffin
I do my best and try to amuse her
So she doesn't get bored with this sad old loser,
Yes, I try so hard to entertain
'Cos a smile on her face will drive away pain,
But I can tell quite quickly she's not impressed,
She's summed me up and I don't pass the test -
A sad old fool who's too fond of booze
And not the young lover that she would choose;
It's the same old story again and again,
The girls all laugh at the older men,
But my heart's still young and my soul's on fire
And if I denied it I would be a liar,
So I pour out my feelings with pen and ink
And I pour out the whisky and take another drink,
'Cos there's a God in Heaven who knows the truth,
You can still be a lover though you've lost your youth,
So listen to my words, my dear sweet love,
That are blessed and sanctioned by the Lord above,
My childhood's gone and my hopes depart,
All I am left with is a broken heart.

Lover Lover Lover
I asked my father,
I said, father change my name.
The one Im using now its covered up
With fear and filth and cowardice and shame.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
He said, I locked you in this body,
I meant it as a kind of trial.
You can use it for a weapon,
Or to make some woman smile.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Then let me start again, I cried,
Please let me start again,
I want a face thats fair this time,
I want a spirit that is calm.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
I never never turned aside, he said,
I never walked away.
It was you who built the temple,
It was you who covered up my face.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
And may the spirit of this song,
May it rise up pure and free.
May it be a shield for you,
A shield against the enemy.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.

Funfair Love
Life is no game so,
Catch them young and ride them to victory.
From sunrise to sunset is the status of the young ones,
Like this young lady who is in love.
Life is no game so,
Play it well when you find your lover;
Like a groove little thing that sounds so sweet.
It is like a funfair love on my lover's lane,
And you've got me and i've got you;
All in this sweet paradise of love together.
Life is no game so,
Catch them young and ride them to victory.
Like a walk through Kingstown to Trench Town in Jamaica,
My love is real for you and yours is sweeter than the candy.
Every move i make is for you,
Every step i take is for you,
From coast to coast is your little thing which sounds so sweet;
Like a funfair love on a lover's lane!
You are so sweet my young lady,
And you have all that it takes on this love;
Like the sweet juice from the apple.

The Lily Confidante
Lily! lady of the garden!
Let me press my lip to thine!
Love must tell its story, Lily!
Listen thou to mine.
Two I choose to know the secret --
Thee, and yonder wordless flute;
Dragons watch me, tender Lily,
And thou must be mute.
There's a maiden, and her name is . . .
Hist! was that a rose-leaf fell?
See, the rose is listening, Lily,
And the rose may tell.
Lily-browed and lily-hearted,
She is very dear to me;
Lovely? yes, if being lovely
Is -- resembling thee.
Six to half a score of summers
Make the sweetest of the "teens" --
Not too young to guess, dear Lily,
What a lover means.
Laughing girl, and thoughtful woman,
I am puzzled how to woo --
Shall I praise, or pique her, Lily?
Tell me what to do.
"Silly lover, if thy Lily
Like her sister lilies be,
Thou must woo, if thou wouldst wear her,
With a simple plea.
"Love's the lover's only magic,
Truth the very subtlest art;
Love that feigns, and lips that flatter,
Win no modest heart.
"Like the dewdrop in my bosom,
Be thy guileless language, youth;
Falsehood buyeth falsehood only,
Truth must purchase truth.
"As thou talkest at the fireside,
With the little children by --
As thou prayest in the darkness,
When thy God is nigh --
"With a speech as chaste and gentle,
And such meanings as become
Ear of child, or ear of angel,
Speak, or be thou dumb.
"Woo her thus, and she shall give thee
Of her heart the sinless whole,
All the girl within her bosom,
And her woman's soul."

The Garden Of Death
There is an isle in an unfurrowed sea
That I wot of, whereon the whole year round
The apple-blossoms and the rosebuds be
In early blooming ; and a many sound
Of ten-stringed lute, and most mellifluous breath
Of silver flute, and mellow half-heard horn,
Making unmeasured music. Thither Death
Coming like Love, takes all things in the morn
Of tenderest life, and being a delicate god,
In his own garden takes each delicate thing
Unstained, unmellowed, immature, untrod,
Tremulous betwixt the summer and the spring :
The rosebud ere it come to be a rose,
The blossom ere it win to be a fruit,
The virginal snowdrop, and the dove that knows
Only one dove for lover ; all the loot
Of young soft things, and all the harvesting
Of unripe flowers. Never comes the moon
To matron fulness, here no child-bearing
Vexes desire, and the sun knows no noon.
But all the happy dwellers of that place
Are reckless children gotten on Delight
By Beauty that is thrall to Death ; no grace,
No natural sweet they lack, a chrysolite
Of perfect beauty each. No wisdom comes
To mar their early folly, no false laws
Man-made for man, no mouthing prudence numbs
Their green unthought, or gives their licence pause ;
Young animals, young flowers, they live and grow,
And die before their sweet emblossomed breath
Has learnt to sigh save like a lover's. Oh !
How sweet is Youth, how delicate is Death !

All I wanna see is the love in your eyes (hey, lover)
And all I wanna hear is your sweet love sighs
All I wanna feel is burning flames (hey, lover)

Tell me that u feel the same way I do
Tell me that u love me girl
[wed be so lost, in our mouths, the best, I feel it everyday (every way)
U feel so wrong, be alone, if u just follow somebody someday]
Soft and wet

Every time Im with you, you just love me to death
Ooo weee, baby. you leave me without...
Breath! ooo, baby! oooo, yeah
Youre just as soft as a lion tamed (hey, lover)
Youre just as wet as the evening rain
How will I take it when you call my name? (hey, lover)

Lovers Prayer
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Just wanna be with my love tonight
I dont want no jive artists calling me on the telephone
Dont wanna watch the carson show all alone
I just wanna lay back, take my rest
With the one I loves head resting on my chest
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Just wanna be with my love tonight
And I dont want my best friends even coming round
cos if they do I might put em down
Carsons over and the lights way down low
And all I got, I got a heart full of soul
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
I said, lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
I said, lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Just wanna be with my love tonight
And its a lovers prayer, oh yes it is
Takes a little time, takes a little care, yeah, yeah, yeah
And when it gets way on in the midnight hour
I just wanna play my guitar
I just wanna see you smile, touch your face
Be with you in my own place
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
I said, lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Lord, lord, lord, lord, lord
Just wanna be with my love tonight
Just wanna be with my love tonight
Just wanna be with my love tonight

Sweet Love
My dream lover where are you?
Come into my world so sweet;
Where, true love is sweeter than honey.
The aroma of my love drips like pure gold,
My dream lover where are you?
Your precious breasts will be taken care of,
All i want is to share with you is love;
Where our nakedness will be mused together.
Oh my dream lover,
Enter into my world so sweet;
With the sweet taste of the aroma of love.
I am for you and, you are mine;
To where the Roses do sing our names.
Naked to the muse of love so sweet,
In the garden of love with lovers;
My only one, come to me.

Today... 'Lover
My Lord is the greatest Lover
He has love me like no other.
My Lord, my Love, the Crucified
to save my soul He bled and died.
I am loved with everlasting love
By the One from heaven above
Such great love to me He has shown
Giving His life my love to own
Greater love there could never be
Than the love He has shown to me
Such sacrificial love was His
I don't deserve such love as this
For this my Lover is God's Son
The Altogether Lovely One
I'm my Lovers and He is mine
He is so Handsome and Divine
In his mouth is sweetness and life
And He desires us for His wife
'Arise my darling', He says, 'Come'
'My beautiful one, come on home'
The room was filled with sighs and coos
As His Belovéd the Lover woos
And words of love speaks to her there
embracing her in tender care
In His love He suffered and bled
'I'll never let you go' He said
Unbounded love to her was shown
when He died to make her his own
Day by day they walked hand in hand
Moving towards the promised land.
Then as she breathed her final breath
They together the Vale of Death
(see also the additional information in the Poet's notes box below)
Young Lover
One life to live
No time to pretend
No wins no loss
No heroes in the end
No dreams no plans no promises
Young lover
Just turn out the lights
One kiss
One softly whispered yes
No talk oh no, no tears
No hearts to repossess
No names no chains no hostages
Young lover
Just turn out the lights
Slip under the cover
Of the night
Young lover young lover young lover
Everythings all right
Young lover
Just turn out the lights

One Boy Girl
Written: kylie minogue, willie wilcox
Im a one boy, one boy girl
You know Im a one boy girl
1:
Some girls, say in their world
They couldnt bear to have just him
But i, dont need a load of guys
To pump up my self esteem
Girl what you doin with just one guy
Given all my lovin
What you gonna do when
Theres lipstick on his collar
Youre gonna get old before your time
You cant tell me nothing,
bout this man of mine
Chorus:
No other love could ever
Compare to my lover
Im a one boy, one boy girl
No other touch could mean half as much
As my lover
You know Im a one boy girl
2:
Check it out
Some guys never realise
What a girl needs from a man
But my guy always satisfies
Its a love we understand
Dont you wanna go out and play
Im sorry but Im busy
What if you call and there isnt any answer
Youre gonna find him gone one day
Hell always be with me no matter what you say
Chorus:
No other kiss is the one that I miss
With my lover
Im a one boy, one boy girl
No other man could love like he can
As my lover
You know Im a one boy girl
Rap:
Hey you kylie...mmm hmmm
Whats up with this one-boy-girl thing...well
Let me break it down like this, yeah right
It doesnt play to stay or be good
You know how guys are, I dont think he good
Be with just one, and what if he cheats ya
Girl just have fun go out and meet ya
Two or three more.. I dont think so
You should see more..no I dont think so
How could you be sure..i believe him
Youre in for heartbeat you dont need him
What if he hurts you..he wont do that
Are you sure...yeah thats a fact
Theres lots of guys in this world
Not for me, Im a one-boy-girl
No other love (no other love)
My lover, ohh
One boy, one boy girl
No other touch (no other touch)
My lover, ohh
One boy, one boy girl, yeah
Chorus

Love, I Want
The girl who has lost in wilderness
I do not have her company.
The girl who is a nightingale
I do not have her symphony.
The girl who is a dazzling beauty
I do not have her pity.
The girl who has oozing grace and youth
I have not enjoyed both.
The girl who has dark and deep eyes
I do not have its amorous sighs.
The girl who always wears a lovely smile,
The girl who follows a different style,
I am anxious to get her favour,
I want to be her one and only lover.
The girl who is callous and ruthless,
She offers and I get severe pain.
The girl who is wanton and betrayer,
She offers love and I cannot share.
Love does not come the way I want,
Rather it comes and gives heart-burnt.

Face It
Come into my bedroom
Come in at night
Youll take your bowie
Gonna skin it alive
Where where hold it now lord
Your gonna get cut
Where where hold it down lord
Did it all for what?
I wont be there calling
Oh lover let me take my fall
What were now holding now lord
Down on my knees
What were hold it down lord
Lord come in peace
Well i

I got a face no-one else knows
Well i

I gotta learn how to face it
Oh sail on, sail on
Sail on, sail on
Its for the longest time
No nonononono
Nononononononono
Face it
I gotta learn how to face it
With my love blown to pieces
I gotta face it
Oh lord love me now please and Ill face it
Oh lord let me feel I gotta face it
Oh lord let me I kneel I gotta face it

Big Lover
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover
When I feel you
You were like every love Ive known
Spun into one - my mind is blown
You were like all my burnt down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through
Big lover
When I hear your heart speak truly
Big lover!
You were a mystery revealed
A treasure trove too long concealed
You were like all my torn down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover!
You were like earth and fire to me
You were j-o-y m-a-g-i-c
You were like all my ripped down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Im alive!
Yes, Im alive!
Im truly alive
Alive!

To Two Bereaved
Now in your days of worst distress,
The empty days that stretch before,
When all your sweet's turned bitterness;--
The Hand of the Lord is at your door.
And when at morn beside your bed
Grief waits to tell you it is true,
That both your darling boys are dead;
The Mercy of the Lord bends down to you.
When you are frozen and stripped bare
And over your joy is raised a stone,
The foot of the Lord is on your stair;
The Lord's mercy is never done.
More than the joys of common men,--
The gifts of the Lord are past desire--
They shall be given to you again,
They shall sit down beside your fire.
The young and laurelled heads shall shine,
Making a glory in your days
As a light burns in a secret shrine:
The Love of the Lord is passing praise.
The Lord recalls not gifts once given :
They shall sit down beside your hearth;
They shall come in, in white, new-shriven,
Make you new Heaven and a new earth.
The Will of the Lord is great and good,
The cup of your joy shall He brim o'er;
They shall come in with life renewed.
They shall go out from you no more.

Penny Lover
Penny lover
(lionel richie, brenda harvey-richie)
The first time I saw you
Oh, you looked so fine
And I had a feeling
One day youd be mine
Honey you came along and captured my heart
Now my love is somewhere lost in your kiss
When Im all alone its you that I miss
Girl a love like yours is hard to resist
Oh, oh, ooh, ooh, oh
Penny lover, my loves on fire
Penny lover, youre my one desire
Tell me baby could this be true
That I could need someone, like I need you
Nights warm and tender
Lying next to you
Girl I surrender
Oh, what more can I do
Ive spent all of my life in search of your love
Now theres one more thing Id like to say
Dont you ever take your sweet love away
Girl Ill do anything, just please stay
Oh, oh
(bridge)
I dont understand it, oh whats come over me
But Im not gonna worry, no not anymore
cause when a mans in love, hes only got one story
Thats why my love is somewhere lost in your kiss
When Im lost and alone its you that I miss
With a love like yours, its hard to resist
Ooh, ooh, oh
(begin fade)
Penny lover, dont you walk on by (dont you walk on by)
Penny lover, dont you make me cry (dont you make me cry baby)
Penny lover, dont you walk on by (dont you walk on by)
Penny lover, dont you make me cry (oh penny baby)
Penny lover, dont you walk on by (dont you walk on by)
I remember the first time I saw you baby
Penny lover, dont you make me cry
You had the look in your eye, you had the look in your eye, yeah, yeah
Ooh pretty baby
I just wanted to reachout and touch you baby
I just want to reach out and hold ya, I want to reach out and say ooh, ooh
Dont make me cry
I wanna talk about you everyday (penny lover)
Need you, need you baby ...

I Am The One
Rise and love me my sweet one,
For i am the one for you;
Come to me my lover!
For i am a skillful lover and i want to love you.
Please, do not look at my appearance;
But do look into my heart for love.
I am the one to love you,
I am the one to make you feel glad all day long;
For i have been a man of poem from my youth and,
I want to love you.

Lovers Prayer
Dont send me no young girl to love me
With their eyes shinin bright
All the young girls are afraid of me
Send me a woman tonight
Dont send me no hand-holdin baby
cause I been with babies before
Dont send me nobody thats crazy
Dont send me no young girls no more
I was entertaining a little girl in my rooms, lord
With california wines and french parfumes, lord
She started to talk to me about the war, lord
I said, I dont want to talk about the war.
Dont send me nobody with glasses
Dontt want nobody above me
Dont send nobody takin night-classes
Send me somebody to love me
Please answer my prayer

Please answer my prayer

Sexy Stylez
More than a woman
Passion, instant
Sweat me, feel me
Cupids shot me
My heartbeats racing
Tempt me, drive me
Feels so exciting
Thought of highly
Its yours entirely
Ill be...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than your others
Ill be...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
Ill be more...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
Making love under covers
Ill be more...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
Midnight grindin
My heartrates climbin
You go, I go
cause we share pillows
Taste me, feed me
Theres still no separating
Morning massages
With new bones in your closet
Ill be...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than your others
I said ill be...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
Ill be more...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
Making love under covers
Im gonna be more...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
I dont think youre ready
I dont think youre ready
For this thang
For this thang
I dont think youre ready
For this thang
Youre not ready
I dont think youre ready
For this thang
This thang, this thang
I dont think youre ready
For this thang
Constant pressures
No scale can measure
Secret treasures
Keeps on getting better
Do you wanna roll with me?
We can go to foreign lands
Your hand in my hand
Do you wanna ride with me?
We can be like bonnie & clyde
Be by your side
Ill be...
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than your others
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
I, Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
Making love under covers
Ill be more than a lover
More than a woman
More than enough for you
