Consuming all that survives
no way to escape

Escape
Escape
Escape
That one word resonates in my mind
I need an escape a reprieve from
All this energy surrounding me
Escape
Escape
I want to be let out for awhile
To be free and alone
To do what I want without interference
Escape
Escape
I don't wanna hear arguing
Or little petty problems
I want to not have to do anything
Escape
Escape
I want to Escape

That First Poem...heliotropic
boxed
i once wrote about
cells
there was a hole at the
right side
of the top sort of
ceiling of the house
a leak
light filtering in
hoping that
the seed survives
and extends its
tendril
finally to the sun
i think it was
always about
a escape either from
a box
a bottle or some bars
of steel
a high fence
pointed gates

Escape
Paint on my cruel or happy face
I hide me behind it
It takes me inside another place where no-one can find it
Escape
I get out when I can
Escape
Anytime I can
Escape
I'm crying in my beer Escape
Just get me out of here
Don't get me wrong
Don't get me right
I'm not like you are
When I get home from work at night
I'm blacker and bluer
So I escape
I get out when I can
Escape
Anytime I can
Escape
I'm crying in my beer Escape
Just get me out of here
Where am I running to?
There's no place to go
Just put on my makeup and get me to the show
Yeah
Escape
My doctor said just come around
You'll be taken care of
And while he ran my problems down
I stole his mascara
That's how I escape
I get out when I can
Escape
Anytime I can
Escape
I'm crying in my beer Escape
Just get me out of here

The escapes
Fight is an escape from fear.
Art is an escape from deprivation.
Love is an escape from perversion.
Ambition is an escape from sloth.
Goodness is an escape from depravity.
Life is an escape from death.
Every escape gives you relief

Mask
I can't live like this any longer, the
mask that covers my grief,
again and again, I can't stand
it anymore, you're like a shadow
in time, I yearn for the moment
you can give me- the short time
you offer me like a charity or
mendicant. You walk out again
after you satisfy you're crave;
then I’m here alone and I can't
get it out of my mind, that I tell
you nothing when your gone-
you are like non existent, there's
no trace of you, no calls nothing
to let me know I’m alive and in
your thought's. What do you think
of? How can you not feel me when
your gone? I keep covering my
emotions like a mask covering the
face of ugly. It's you in my head,
and I am nowhere in yours. I keep
giving you the pleasures of my cravings,
I keep waiting and you walking out.
Memories withhold my lonesome nights,
It’s burning me alive, consuming me each
day, I hear nothing of your sound, I see
nothing of your trace, how can I keep
going like this. The uncertainty of you, the
cold feeling in my skin, the warm touch
of you're hands, they disappear after a while.

True Love Survives
On big alley stands a lady waiting
For awhile
Acting out an untold story like a
Wounded child
But the mystery of the circumstance
Wont hide
She believes true love survives
True love survives
Waiting for her long lost lover
Returning from the war
Though I know she knew the truth
She also knew much more
And the answer that she gave to all of us
Whispered low saying
True love survives
True love survives
Is she dreaming does she know
A secret I cant see
Maybe theres a trace of truth
In all that she believes
For one day I took a look deep down inside
A voice cried saying true loves alive
True love survives
Only love will last forever true love will survive
Only love will last forever true love will survive
True is love is never-ending
Its giving all and not pretending
Its holding on although your heart
Feels dead
A quarter of a century of years
Have gone by
Still the dream of this peculiar
Ladys kept alive
So Im holding tight to one who I desired
A burning fire saying true love survives
True love survives
Only love will last forever
Only love will last forever

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

Early Works - Emptiness
The sun rose this morning
to herald a beautiful day
the sky was blue
birds flew on currents of wind
but my mind has been filled
with confusion and torment
of which way to go.
I’ve looked at the horizons
and dreams of being there
to warm in the sunshine
of a lovely spring day.
Work is unfortunate
but has to be done.
It keeps us away from our dreams
our hopes and our prayers.
We’re trapped on a treadmill
where there seems no escape
from morning until night,
day in, day out,
year in, year out.
The only escape is a hole in the ground
eternal peace they call it,
but you know nothing
as nothing survives.

The Light In The Darkness
Shades of darkness obstruct my view,
What once seemed old is once again new.
I thought I was in the light for a while
There is someone with me in the darkness
In his word I can almost hear him smile
I am trapped in a Hell that I created myself
It's too late to escape
Or blame anyone else
Yet somewhere I see light peeking down at me
But the darkness is so vast
Surrounding me
Escape seems like a dream long past
My decisions of old may be my last.
The tiny ray of light seems so strong
It makes me wonder
Do I have the strength to move on?

Unavoidable
Forget that 'bam' in bamboozled.
Or the 'hood' covering those sly winks.
All deceptions replayed today,
Will not escape from noses...
Certain of a distinct smell that stays,
Of something thick that stinks.
No matter how polluted the air...
This stench that is there is unavoidable.

The Fog Rolls In
The fog rolls in
covering the moist earth
and
hiding the world
Hazy and beautiful
Haunting and sad
How so much like the world
of the broken hearted
The world in its beauty
is stilled by its presence
coming over the hills
consuming everything
completely
then gradually fading away
The fog rolls in
the heavens sigh
just wait
it will leave
and let beauty
creep slowly back
into the world again

A Rock Steady Vibe (Rock Steady Remix)
Our love is rock steady
Rock steady, rock steady
Our love is rock steady
Love is like a punishment
Homegirl here to represent
So innocently you seem to come my way
While Tinkerbell and Cupid play
They sit there and laugh
I sit here and I can't believe my eyes
You found me at last
But we're too human to see the way we'll agonize
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
Rock steady, rock steady
Our love is so rock steady
Rock steady
Steady now, stop rocking it
It's a delicate environment
Retire but sleeping is a Shanti love
Be careful now don't wake it up
It's never gonna last
It's never gonna make it back alive
So now can we relax
I really hope that we will actually survive
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
It's never gonna last
It's never gonna makes it back alive
So now can we relax
I really hope that we will actually survive
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
A real love survives a rock steady vibe
Rock steady
Our love is so rock steady
Rock steady, rock steady

4. Elements – Fire
The element of fire
Constructive, destructive
The bright light of fire
The slight of fire
The all consuming fire
Does not exist
In its natural form
Exists by consuming
Another form
It transforms from one
Form to another form
Fuels our passion
Leaves everything ashen
Duels the darkness
Heaves on compassion
Fire, constructively destructive
Fire, destructively constructive
Fire, living death
Fire, dying life

Bourgeois Inspiration
INSPIRATION
It isn’t where my motivation
comes from, but how it survives.
Don’t ask me about inspiration––
it breaks out sometimes, just like hives.
Inspired by a 2007 painting by the 95-year old Louise Bourgeois on which she writes: “It’s not so much where my motivation comes from but how it survives.”

A Helplessness
See the dark night has slept,
Covering herself with the light of thy memories,
And left me with the darkness of dejection,
I don't know when the streak of light will pierce this darkness,
But I'm sure that my light, my vivaciy is no more now,
This is the moment you waited for,
Come and make my being a heap of ruin,
So that you may be relieved from my tiresome love.

~The Light~
The Light
Captures and awes
Encloses circles
Wraps
Us up
In fire warm
Shimmering cover
Much like
The heat
Of Summer
When everything
'Tis abloom
And dead becomes
Alive Golden Bright
Wrapped up in
The dazzling Sunbeams
Most all consuming
Light
