Kissing In The Dark

KISSING IN THE DARK

I write our names
on opposite pages

of an out-of-date
diary.

I scrawl myself
on JULY 27th 1986.

I scribble you
on JULY 27th of

that self same year.

It is now
JULY 27th 2012.

We exist...so:
in a time that is no longer

no longer exists.

We are the only words
on our respective pages

as if we were the only
happenings those days

as I close
the book on us

the words of us
touch

each other
word to word

until the last lower case 'e'
of you

fits into the first
capital 'D' of me

like the soft sigh
of a clasp

the syllables of us
kissing in the dark.

The Beauty Of The Sky

Beauty of the sky, is the richness of the blue.
Deepness of the sky, is the richness of the red.
Darkness of the sky, is the richness of the black.
Freshness of the sky, is the richness of the rain.
Glimpses of the sky, is the richness of the stars.
Smile of the sky, is the richness of the moon.
Sparks of the sky, is the richness of the lighting.
Beauty of the sky, is the richness of the clouds...

An Eternal Source

There is one man, Jesus Christ, who is the role model of my life,
My friend, His Word I hide inside, He is my shield and my guide.
The never ending source for me, of what through God I can be.
It is The Word of God of course, that Living and Eternal source.

Inspiring men through the ages, with God’s Wisdom on its pages.
And God’s Eternal Wisdom friend, found in The Bible has no end.
God’s Word began back in Eternity, before this world came to be.
His spoken word, penned by men, is the Bible’s source my friend.

Wisdom from its pages flow, challenging Believers as they grow.
Transforming a heart and mind, while leaving all the past behind.
Directed from the dark of night, through its pages filled with light.
Filling up with the mind of Christ, while preparing for Eternal Life.

To Moses God spoke The Law, to a nation both weak and small.
This Law would point every nation, to Jesus Christ, for salvation.
Christ then spoke to Apostle Paul, instituting Grace over the Law.
Through one man all would fall, but in Christ, there’s Grace for all.

Israel was given the oracles of God, to be led by His staff and rod,
To lead all nations to the place, so they could accept God’s Grace.
Grace has appeared to all men, in a world that stood condemned.
This Grace helps us to live our life, while we wait for Jesus Christ.

Friend God’s Divine Revelation, was spoken to reach every nation,
In the last days through Jesus Christ, to lead all men to Eternal Life.
Forgotten will be the words of men, all earthly wisdom that they pen.
Soon their wisdom God will sever, but God’s Word shall last forever.

Wing Pages Of The Butterfly

at the nursery
while people
are at purchase
and at transactions
a blue butterfly
comes by
and opens its pages to me
swift and quick
and it says to me:
'Read! Read!
Read my pages! '

'I can’t read, '
I say,
amused
at this brash butterfly

'Read and write!
Read and write
about me,
and all flitting butterflies
Read
and write, you silly! '
it commands

And so I read
and I copy
and these are the words
the words from those
pages
the butterfly
holds up to me

Yes I Am A Christian, Does That Bother You?

My words they come
As I want them to
They may cut some
Does that bother you?

I write my thoughts
My own convictions
Whether they are sought
Not my restriction.

You have your freedom
Well so do I!
My faith consumes
That is no lie.

Yes I'm a Christian
Write most of God,
Share Truth to man
That makes me glad.

I write of Love too
It's part of life,
What all men do-
War, pain, and strife.

Don't try to put me
In your own mold
You let me be
My pen, don't hold.

My Christian words
Just let them fall
This is my Sword-
Don't make the call.

My pen construe
I am a Christian-
I have rights too
Like other humans.

'The Lord will keep you from all harm
He will watch over your coming and you going
both now and forevermore.'

Understanding and Knowledge

Those who know don’t talk;
Those who talk don’t know;
Those who speak don’t write;
Those who write don’t speak.

Those who think don’t actions;
Those who actions don’t think;
Those who think don’t judge;
Those who judge don’t do.

Small understanding is no match for great understanding;
Small knowledge cannot understand great knowledge knows.
Great wisdom has great understanding;
Great knowledge has wise sayings.

Great knowledge and understanding is wide and vast;
Small knowledge and understanding is trivial and cramped.
Great speech blaze forth as a huge fire;
Small speech is empty and trivial.

We understand what is appropriate;
Because of what we understand to be inappropriate.
We understand right;
Because of our understanding of wrong.

Use the light of wisdom to see,
Beyond the world of right and wrong.
One can only really understand things,
By understanding one’s true self.

what appears is what it is
that is how simple it is
and how beautiful can it be

a petal of a flower is nothing
but a petal of a flower
falling to the ground on a
windless day
caused by no other than
this pull of gravity

we watch a world unfolding
we only use words because there is a need to write
what beautiful thing we have seen

but there is more to the simplicity of all these things
those that we have seen and felt and
cannot completely tell you
even in the most simple words of our poetry

the experience of beauty is so personal
like how i experience the poetry of the heart
it is like this, no, it is like this... words fail now

Treasured

A map with many pages.
Laid out from beginning to end.
To find the most valuable treasure known.
The journey begins.
Treacherous, dark and painful is the way.
I want to turn back,
Then the guide shines His light.
I face the giants and creatures of a world past.
Clashing with the demons.
One by one, they fall.
Until the only thing remaining is the treasure.
Now, I can shine,
Only after I rise.
But I am not the only one.
We are all gems in the chest of our maker,
And we are all truly treasured.

July!

Raindrops of one July
gifted me flowers of friendship
and for the change in season
the same July offered
me flowers of hatred,
I turned speechless
without any words
like a silent earth...

I read another poet I could not understand

I READ ANOTHER POET I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND

I read another poet I could not understand
The metaphors racing one after the other
The eternal thoughts taking on a new particular dress
Words and more words
Lines and more lines
Rushing toward meaning and beauty.

And in it all my simple not understanding,
My waiting to hear words that would return to me-
My understanding
That only by my own effort
By my reading again and again
By my willing to believe
Could I make another poet real.

But do I want another poet to be real
When I am a question,
And when there are already others real for me also?

Oh selfish little man oh poor poor reader-

Write your poem alone again
As if no one but you will ever be able to write
The poems which are real.

As I Am Writing This

when i begin to write the words
i pause
for some regrets and i look
at another window
where life is
unfolding a scene
it is something lustful out there
but i watch closely
what is it in them that clicks
to a switch of my flesh
and then i write again
because outside it is colder
and the temperature is freezing
some muscles
and then i write again
closing another window
i go inside
and open another door
i find the words
but i stop right there
right here
the words that need only to
be spoken
they cannot be written.

What Does the Bible Tell?

The Bible speaks about the love of God
That’s infinite and unfathomable;
The Bible talks of love of man for God,
Their obeisance and faith amidst great strife.

The Bible tells of stories of persons
Who chose the path of righteousness to vice;
The Bible narrates accounts of men
And women who stood steadfast in faith amidst trials.

The Bible depicts how God tests man’s love
And obedience to Will of Providence;
The Bible reveals all secrets of life
That’s everlasting and all heavenly.

The Bible lists the sins that are mortal,
Abominable and hated by God;
The Bible shows the path of righteousness
That leads all souls to the Abode of God.

The Bible hints how God can punish as well
And send all evil-hearted down to hell;
The Bible has the Words of the Maker
That will come true when earth and sun shall end!

Get Wisdom And Get Understanding

Get wisdom and get understanding,
For the first light at dawn is the path of the just;
And like the muse of joy in the land of peace.
Guard your mind with all diligence,
For out of it flows the springs of life!
And, deliver yourself like the deer from the hands of the hunter.

Can a man put fire in his lap and his clothing will not get burnt? !
But you are ignorant and untutored in the land of struggle;
However, wisdom was brought into being before the world was created.

Wisdom is found on the lips of those who do have understanding,
Because, from the strength of an axe comes abundant harvest!
But, a scorner searches for wisdom and does not find it.

Better a diner of vegetables where love is than,
A fattened calf eaten with hatred! !
So, get wisdom and get understanding in this life,
And like the muse of joy in the land of peace.

Distinct Work

Never be hard at distinct work,
For you delve into the nightmares;
Open the work of the words you write,
Closing the pages as you send letters.
The better writer forces his mind
To act in a strange way, almighty at last.
The work carries on working like words,
Worlds of pictures design our images so late.
May the weight of the pages abhor the life
To come. It defines us as we write on the shelf.
Opening words of slaughter is like being drunk,
Heavy business is about, with clarity.

What Is Written In Red

I am written in red,
I am sliding across the page of life.
I am racing across the lines of language.
I am red.
I write words,
I create lines and sentences,
I am kept in solitude
I am red.
I create paragraphs.
I create signatures.
I know what you're thinking before you speak,
I am red.
I cannot breath because I am enclosed in a capsule.
A capsule that covers the knowledge inside.
All I do is stare at pages,
All I know is pages,
I become apart of the pages,
And the pages become apart of me.
I become apart of english,
I become apart of words,
I am RED.

Love

For only in silence
Can one come to understanding
For in the fewest words
Comes forth the
Greater voice

And Wisdom is everywhere
Just breath it in
Let it penetrate every
Cell of your body

Love is elusive
Fleeting, seldom enduring;
Buttercup butterflies
Bouncing in an autumn wind,
Here, then gone again

Combine wisdom with understanding
And love, and you
Will come to a crossroad,
A passing of a point

Then you leave
You pass that point;
And what was a brilliance of light
For a moment, flashes and
Disappears into eternity
