On the shop
He wrapped them carefully, neatly
in costly green silk.
Roses of ruby, lilies of pearl,
violets of amethyst. As he himself judged,
as he wanted them, they look beautiful to him; not as he saw
or studied them in nature. He will leave them in the safe,
a sample of his daring and skillful craft.
When a buyer enters the shop
he takes from the cases other wares and sells -- superb jewels --
bracelets, chains, necklaces, and rings.

Roses Are Red Violets Are Blue
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I've never found someone as patient
As you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If you get lost
Then I'll look for you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
You know I'm always sorry
When I hurt you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If I could
Id turn back to when i first kissed you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If you don't believe me
Then what else can I do
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Baby no one knows me
As much as you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Believe I'll do anything
To get next to you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Tell me you still love me
And I'll run to you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
You might not know
But I love you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The stars shine bright
But not as bright as you do
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If I could pick anyone
I would pick you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The first day I saw you
That's when I knew
Roses are red
Violets are blue
No one will ever love you
As much as I do
Roses are red violets are blue
Even if you get me mad
I'll still be in love with you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
My heart skips a beat
When I'm laying next to you
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If you love me
Then show me that that love is true

My Dad (The Gardener)
My Dad has got green fingers,
He's always been that way;
He grew veg' in his younger days,
He grows them now he's grey.
Tomatoes are his forte,
No finer can be found;
He eats them by the dozen,
And sells them by the pound.
He grows a vast amount, and now
Two greenhouses he owns;
Tomato juice is in his blood,
And marrow in his bones.
His spuds are so delicious,
Their praises I must sing;
So fresh and full of flavour,
And fit for any king.
His lettuce too, are lovely,
They're crispy and dark green;
Much better than the shop ones,
The best I've ever seen.
There's not much that can beat him,
He's skillful in his craft;
He isn't Percy Thrower
But he isn't flippin' daft.
The only thing I've ever known
My Dad to fail to grow,
Is melons, for my sisters,
Just a tiny one did show;
The whole procedure was for him
A problem just too great;
So now they're off the menu,
And for melon they must wait.
But still, it's just one failure,
And not like all the rest;
My Dad is still the greatest,
My Dad is still the best.
My Dad has got green fingers,
And this will always be;
Now mine are going green as well,
And that will do for me.

Garden Fantasy
gossamer wings of dragonflies
platinum petals of tanzanite tulips
sapphire daisies, ruby roses,
million flowers of mandarin garnets
red silk wings of butterflies
diamond-studded lilies of the valley
peridot grasses alexandrite dews
garnet violets aquamarine carnations
quarts crocus chrysoberyl chrysanthemums
opal orchids coral daffodils
metallic fantasies
of an imaginary garden
eventually your heart is missing

Roses are red, Violets are blue.....(romantic)
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
they wouldn't be red or blue,
without you,
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I'll be stuck to you,
like glue,
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Poems express my love,
you do too!
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
It'll always be me,
and you.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I can never explain,
how much I love you...

The Ruby And The Pearl
Can love be as warm as the ruby,
Can love be as pure as the pearl?
Just look in the heart of my love for you.
You'll find the ruby and the pearl.
My love will endure as the diamond;
And shine with the shimmer of gold.
It glows like a bright star above for you,
A thing of beauty to behold.
(Bridge:)
Come close and cling to my kiss;
Come close and share the passion of this.
Yes, love is as warm as the ruby
And love is as pure as the pearl.
Just look in the heart of my love for you.
You'll find the ruby and the pearl.
(Return to bridge:)
Come close and cling to my kiss;
Come close and share the passion of this.
Yes, love is as warm as the ruby
And love is as pure as the pearl.
Just look in the heart of my love for you.
You'll find the ruby and the pearl.

She Enters My Garden
Red wolf has come
Drizzle of madness in the forest
Pulled into your blue deep sea
Shrunken into a clock with doors
Peer into the poppies of Shangri
Chagrin with the tolling bells
Sensual clouds cover my sleep
She thinks of me in satin ropes
She enters charkas of Venus
Winds of silk permeate the moon
Black lace and fishnet chains
Moonlight of feline eyes
Violet spells like flowers on a piano
Parlors where burgundy dreams
Green jade sculpted by gnomes
Sabers of silver magic
On the stairway a ruby ghost
Lauding mariners
Ports of ancient Thrace
Purloined queen of fire
Acrimony hibernates in pedicures
Pearls glow on her soft skin
I am indulged in mystic perfume
She enters my garden

The atmosphere of nature
The field is green
The sky is blue
The sun is shining,
I feel so new
It’s the atmosphere of nature
When the sky is grey
Thundering and lightning
Predators catch there prey
Except some that got away
It’s the atmosphere of nature
Its light and its morning
I can hear the birds singing
And the children’s laughter
Swaying away like a lullaby
It’s the atmosphere of nature
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
Nature is too
It’s the atmosphere of nature…

Roses Are Blue Violets Are Red
Roses are blue, violets are red
get that thought out of your head.
I have a crooked smile/wicked grin,
I'm your 'precioius' evil twin.
Roses are red violets are blue
I have lustful thoughts of you.
Bring me some red wine,
I will be your Sweet Valentine.
Roses are blue violets are red

Id Rather Have What We Had
(bobby braddock)
It used to be red wine there in room 3-2-9
Over the river where we werent well-known
Now its two coffees then off to the office
Then back in the driveway and sittin at home
Sneaking around with me
Or being tied down with me
Which one would you rather have
(be honest)
Dying to be with me
Or watching tv with me
Is this what we wanted so bad
Id rather have what we had
We carefully planned it
What our hearts demanded
No more motel rooms
No more cheatin lies
Now were lookin at it
A neatly wrapped package
But open it up and theres no surprise
Sneaking around with me
Or being tied down with me
Which one would you rather have
(be honest)
Dying to be with me
Or watching tv with me
Is this what we wanted so bad
Id rather have what we had
Id rather have what we had
Id rather have what we had

Bring Me Back First The Season To Write On Sand
These beautiful bracelets of Motia,
This Kagal, this henna,
Glassy bangles and a tray of red-roses,
Beautiful are the green Anchal and scarlet suit,
The same is sound of the mill,
The same is the crowed on the well
Village is the same, same are the rites,
Same are the old faces but bear new looks,
The same tale, the same promises,
The same fraudulent are the oaths,
O! My old well-wisher, it is all right,
But bring me back first the season to write on sand.

Eleven today
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Today you're eleven
That's nine add on two.
Now ten is behind you
And twelve is to come
When riding your bike
Don't fall on your bum.
A six and a five
Make eleven as well
Your maths are so good
This I don't need to tell.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Legs are eleven
But you've only TWO!
Eleven is better
Than ten any day
That's what I think
And I'm going to say:
'Roses are red
Violets are blue,
Eleven is lovely
And so too are you.'

All the violets are wilted, roses are dead...
Roses are red, violets are blue,
Say that you love me, tell me you do,
But the violets have wilted, the roses are dead,
Unlike the voices, so loud in you head,
You fought like a soldier, you were so brave,
But too weak for your mind, which kept you a slave,
People were blind, they did not see through,
The fake smiles and lies that became of you,
You tried hard, though all in vain,
For the demons still lurked in your brain,
The light was gone, her last breath taken,
Asleep forever, she would not awaken,
For the violets have wilted, roses are dead,
Away from herself, the young girl had fled.
