I look for a role that hopefully I feel empathy with and that I can understand and love, but also that has that challenge for me to play - a different kind of role, a different type of character, a different time period.

We have been given a role to play. We have been asked to provide, to give lectures on the role of Islamic development and the way we do it here, so the people who are Muslims there would understand what the role of Islam is.

Every role you play is literally - and I've said this before - every single role that you play, the only way you can connect to that character is because that was a piece of you that was scattered around that yard, almost like we got caught up in some whirlwind.

Hip Hop It Really Rocks
Botched up and rocked by hip hop...
That has drowned out all the pop,
People 'use' to love a lot.
Although almost on top is hip hop...
Like it or not,
It is part of culture.
And hip hop can't be stopped!
Pop...
Botched up and rocked by hip hop,
Is no longer the main 'thing' on the scene.
With a meaning meant,
Like the appetite for Fort Knox.
And pop now in shambles.
Struggling not to be completely dropped.
Hip hip hip hip hip-hop,
Is in a glorifying role.
Hip hip hip hip hip-hop,
Is in a glorifying role.
Hip-hip-hip-hip is hot,
And in a glorifying role.
Hip-hop it knows it really rocks.
And in a glorfying role.
Botched up and rocked by hip hop...
That has drowned out all the pop,
People 'use' to love a lot.
Although almost on top is hip hop...
Like it or not,
It is part of culture.
And hip hop can't be stopped!
Hip hip hip hip hip-hop,

Hip hip hip hip hip-hop,

Hip hip hip hip hip-hop,
Is in a glorifying role.
Hip-hip-hip-hip is hot,
And in a glorifying role.
Hip-hop it knows it really rocks.
And in a glorfying role.
That hip-hop grows and can't be stopped.
It's in a glorifying role.

To every child! ! !
To every child who thinks about giving up......
DON'T
You may feel unwanted
You may feel unappreciated
Just remember..........
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '
To every child who thinks about running away.......
DON'T
You may feel neglected
You may feel ignored
Just remember..........
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '
To every child who thinks about ending it all........
DON'T
You may feel forgotten
You may feel lost
Just remember.............
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '
To every child who wants to withdraw from the world.......
DON'T
You may feel like you're in someone's shadow
You may feel like no-one understands
Just remember..........
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '
To every child who wants to die.......
DON'T
You may feel scared
You may feel afraid
Just remember..........
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '
So,
To every child who feels they won't be missed when they're gone
You will! !
You may not think it now
You may never believe it
And the reason why........
.........because........
'Every child in every family has a role! ! '

You try to get the feel of any role, but it's much more difficult in the case of Christ because everyone has their own personal image of Him. It's a role you take on, knowing that no matter how you play it, you are going to disappoint many.

I really believed that if I could play that character, who is grounded in the earth and the history of the United States - not the kind of role I usually play - it would help me change the perception out there and my own perception of what I can accomplish as a performer.

We Understand Each Other
We understand each other
Bull!
You hear some distant drummer play
I think we understand each other
Have you no else to offer?
Poor boy!
I have expenses to defray
I hope we understand each other
We have a problem
Yes, but its not that we
Dont understand each other
Oh brother!
When they say understand
They gotta mean fairyland
For twenty tons of silver
She sold him into stir
And when it gets his freedom back
He throws it away over her
When he says understand
He must mean some other girl
Ill never comprehend
My putrid taste in men
Its not fair I love
Each little hair and he
Dont even care about me
When she says understand
Must mean some other man
Our preconceptions to retain
Were obliged to exclaim
We understand each other
We hear some distant drummer play
Must mean we understand each other
Oh brother!
If theres a problem
Well admit it
Not that we dont understand each other
Each other
When they say understand
Its like wendy and peter pan
Have you ever met somebody
More self-involved than he?
This has got to be a miracle
The man has divine empathy
What could be wrong with me?
I know his repartee
Insincere
Hes down
There, Im up here
But whenever hes near
Its some kind of divine empathy
When they say understand
Smells like something else to me
Were talking sleight of hand
Each others mind
We read so well
We have no time to know ourselves
We understand each other
Though we dont even know ourselves
We think we understand each other
Though we dont even know ourselves
We think we understand each other
Though we dont know ourselves
I hope we understand each other
Each other

Penthouse & Pavement
Sweat my youth away
With the rules we have to play
Speeding through your magazine
Pistol, pavement, no t.v.
Talk and talk
No time, night time
Burnt inside
Here comes the daylight, here comes my job
Uptown in the penthouse or downtown with the mob
Here comes the night time, here comes my role
Goodbye to the pavement, hello to my soul
Now here comes my job
Credit, bleeding with the mob
Dreams become ideals
No one knows the way I feel
Love to love
Daytime, right time
All my life
Here comes the daylight, here comes my job
Uptown in the penthouse or downtown with the mob
Here comes the night time, here comes my role
Goodbye to the pavement, hello to my soul
Feel safe in the crowd
An no one admits theyre crying aloud
My career fits like a glove
Knowing no orders can come from above
Work and work
Full time, part time
Anytime at all
As you face the wall
God make it this time or never at all
Before your chance has gone
Captain this lead role and youll be the one
Shine and shine
This time, my time
Make me free at last

I guess Species was a movie made for me and hence I bagged the role. In fact even when acting, I never thought the outcome would be so good which I think it was! The entire role was a challenge. I was to be this strange yet sexy thing which was challenging!

Mercy
I was raised on nothing so I save my money
Emotional poverty well Im used to running
How amazing you make me feel
If I am crazy dont wanna know whats real
Youre like a wave of heaven and youre breaking on me
To change the destiny of a girl thats lonely
But how amazing and how surreal
To live with a desire that you may never feel
I can sell everything but my soul
I have never settled just to play some kind of role
I have give everything baby but my hand
Mercy can you save me from this wonderful man
I feel like a can
I kick myself down the street
Im crushed for a while
Then I get on my feet
I loved the illusive in every man I saw
I draw them to me like they were the last straw
I can sell everything baby but my soul
I have never settled just to play some kind of role
I have given everything baby but my hand
Mercy can you save me from this wonderful man

Role To Play
Spate has a role to play
No matter positive or negative.
Spate is a spate and spate
Play role in conspiracy.
Praise not war
It is undeserved
Whether external or internal.
Actually nothing is hard
It is our brain that
Think about it and
Time passed on its own.

Positive Role Model
Here we are
where we were
back on everything
Went too far
now we're fine
back on everything
So much for making it day by day
Back on everything
Instead of taking another way
we're back on everything
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
My reflection on the street
Is that the way I walk?
Introspection as I speak
I need to change the way I talk
In a changing world
there's so much you could be
Why can't you choose your self
like your enemy?
Have you ever imagined
a new you?
I could be someone else
Somebody new
Reinvention:
my intention
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model

Crying Song
We smile and smile
We smile and smile
Laughter echoes in your eyes
We climb and climb
We climb and climb
Footfall softly in the pines
We cry and cry
We cry and cry
Sadness passes in a while
We role and role
We role and role
Help me role away the stone
