Dictates Of Inner Being
Reading Angel Kids by Jacky Newcomb, I am
determined to see it through though I am not
the right target group, she wrote this book for
those who have never read about paranormal
and supernatural events, could you believe it
she asks, using too many exclamation marks
Yet I must finish what I started, happy people
reporting their kids seeing angels and spirits -
answer questions about weird experiences –
why continue if I dislike the style - my spirit
longs for things more stimulating than fun
and laughter; let me fulfil the requirements
Set by my soul, I cannot escape the dictates
of my inner being, only watching TV leaves

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Is In Heaven
Brother Martin was assassinated at a very young age.
Intelligent and determined; he was a wise sage.
I am convinced that he is definitely the only man
In Heaven.
Bro. Martin fought for everybody’s civil rights, regardless of race,
Color, gender, origin, etcetera, etcetera. He is in a better place
Right now, I feel that he is the only man
In Heaven.
Brother Martin was a very dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ,
Who did not fight back, but he was stronger than ice;
He was a peaceful warrior. I know that he is the only man
In Heaven.
There is a lot that one can say and write about this legend.
He had many dreams and great visions, He knew how to blend
Fiction and reality. He was a man of ideas and actions.
Brother Martin is in Heaven working on different transactions.
I want to thank him and his associates for their sacrifices.
Brother Martin is still alive. His dreams are alive under the auspices
Of God’s blessings to fight racism, unfairness and all sorts of inequalities.
Brother Martin is not dead. We shall overcome despite our inabilities.

And at seventeen he jumped the fence
He joined a rock 'n' roll band, got a tattoo on his hand
Granny said he never had a lick of sense
'Cause by the time he turned seven he was a stealin' watermelons
Playin' house with the girl next door
Drinkin' muscadine wine by the time he was nine
Sneakin' out and smokin' cigarettes under the porch
He was a melon stealin'
Cop-a-feelin'
Daredevil fool
A do-it-anywayin'

He'd say by God you better know it if you're runnin' with me
'Cause I'm skinny dippin' finger flippin' son of a gun
