An Error in Creation
There was once a man who made a weird machine,
Employing dynamite and kerosene.
His subsequent destruction
Was a matter of deduction,
And a circumstance that might have been foreseen.
This gloomy incident I merely state
In case you have a yearning to create.
In which event, be wary,
Else, mayhap, a sad quan-dary
Will arise and face you when it's far too late.
Now, take the case of Toryphat, M.P.,
Created by the voters - you and me.
Then in matters legislative
He becomes, in turn, creative.
And creates a Deakook Fusion Ministree.
You will notice that this question, as a whole,
Is a matter over which we've some control;
For, it we'd contemplated
Ere the members we created,
We would not have landed things in such a hole.
And, in regard to this strange Ministree,
We are the folk responsible, you see.
For it couldn't have existed
Had not some of us assisted
In creating its supporters - Q.E.D.
Then, when a weird political machine
Of Tory flare and Fusion kerosene
Blows our policies to blazes,
All our most embittered phrases
Won't recover e'en the smallest smithereen.

Kerosene
everywhere I look I see
exclusive huddled
uninviting shelter
is privilege
of the same and competent
kerosene keeps me warm
I'm alone to watch it burn
kerosene
exposure is a pitiful
and pointless way of dying
before it gets me
I'll set a funeral pyre
kerosene keeps me warm
I'm alone to watch it burn
kerosene
i'm a man and
my dignity won't wave
Tonight buildings rage!
kerosene keeps me warm
it feels so good
to watch it burn kerosene
kerosene keeps me warm
feels so good
to watch it burn kerosene

Machine
Im not a machine... (echos)
Verse 1:
Tell me can I live my life
Doing what I feel is right
I dont need you to hold my hand
The last time I checked I was a grown man
I got my own opinion and I know whats best for me
I do what I want when I want and thats how its gotta be
Chorus:
Im not a machine no you cant control me
Dont just think you can turn me on and off as you please
Im not a machine youre making me overheat
Love me for who I am not who you want me to be
Im not a machine
Verse 2:
Tell me can I do my thing
Without you calling my name
Asking me where Im going, where Ive been
When Im leaving, why I came
Cant chose my own clothes go where I wanna go
Im not a toy for you to command Im not under your control
Girl why cant we just live equally oh girl it would be so nice
Instead of you giving an attitude and trying to run my life
Chorus:
Im not a machine no you cant control me
Dont just think you can turn me on and off as you please
Im not a machine youre making me overheat
Love me for who I am not who you want me to be
Im not a machine
Oh...yeah...
Im not a machine, oh....
Yeah
Chorus:
Im not a machine no you cant control me
Dont just think you can turn me on and off as you please
Im not a machine youre making me overheat (whoa)
Love me for who I am not who you want me to be (want me to be)
Im not a machine
Im not a machine no you cant control me
Dont just think you can turn me on and off as you please
Im not a machine youre making me overheat
Love me for who I am not who you want me to be

Whispers From Bones
THE WAR MACHINE
IS QUITE OBSCENE
THE WAR MACHINE
IS QUITE UNCLEAN
BUT
THE WAR MACHINE
WILL NOT STOP
BECAUSE
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST BE FED
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST HAVE BLOOD
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST HAVE DEATH
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST HAVE LIFE
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST HAVE STRIFE
THE WAR MACHINE
MUST BE FED
THE WAR MACHINE
LOVES THE DEAD
THE WAR MACHINE
WILL NOT STOP
BECAUSE
THE WAR MACHINE
IS ANGRY MAN.

Man, Machine, Money, Time!
Matter is more important than mind or heart
In this money world that rules all mankind!
Machine does more than what man can do
And man is made a servant of machine care!
The time saved by machine work is not used
Well for the betterment of man's world but are
Used for the accumulation of more money only
And man wastes time in gambling for money!
Man has become a slave of machine and money
That make him think and plan for their development
But not for the development of mind and spirit
For which all inventions were made to save time!
Caught among machine, money and time man is mad
Now not knowing how to regain his glorious state again!

The Chaos Of Chaos
sun from another universe
to sun to another universe
the planets of the two universes
and even the distant stars
have always feared their fusion
but no matter what: love they say
has its own reasons of fusion
and whatever destruction is caused
to the surrounding planets and
neighboring stars, the wild rupture
the massive explosion, love they say
always triumphs with justifications saying
there is another new smarter beginning
and what is it but love & love just the same

Cackle
Oh, my brothers do not wrangle.
When the sweets of office dangle
At a most inviting angle
Be polite.
In the legislative struggle,
When in office safe you snuggle,
Then to jangle or to juggle
Isn't right.
And, O never, never niggle!
Though the vulgar people giggle
When they see a statesman wriggle
To a place.
And, I prithee, never niggle;
With the man who stops to peddle,
For the act upon his head'll
Bring disgrace.
And we ought to take a broad, strong view.
What's the matter if the prospect isn't new?
There is virtue in the viewing.
When it comes to merely doing,
Well, it's really not important what you do.
It's the view
Grand view!
Never let the doing part embarrass you.
When in politics you dabble
Then of course you'll have to babble,
To the vote-possessing rabble
'Tis the game.
When you engineer a shuffle
The ensuing party scuffle
Somebody is sure to ruffl
All the same.
Then be wary; do not temble;
Smile politely and dissemble,
Though your actions do resemble
Somersaults.
When your legislative symbol
Is the tricky pea and thimble
Your manipulations nimble
Are not faults.
But, I charge you, take a strong, broad view.
It is most entrancing when you have the screw.
There's no need to be exacting
In the manner of your acting;
'Tis the statesman's motto when dissensions brew
Watch the view
Wide view!
And your story of the sight will see you through.
When a banquet you've to tackle
Where the ancient chestnuts crackle,
And you have to rise and cackle
To your kind.
Mayhap some hiccoughing freak'll
Rise and, venturing to speak, 'll
Mention you as 'Misher Deakle,
Never mind.
Let your honeyed phrases trickle,
And defend the Fusion pickle;
Show them that you are not fickle
In the least.
Say that, why we do not muzzle
Labor members is a puzzle;
And they'll cheer you as they guzzle
At the feast.
And bid them take a broad, strong view.
Bid them see around both corners, same as you.
You're the saviour of the nation
At a mayoral celebration
If you do not harp too much upon the 'do.'
Praise the view
Grand view!
And they vow you are a stateman strong and true.
With this popular preamble
You may then adroitly amble
To the shocking party scramble.
Voice your fears.
Tell them Labor's sure to stumble
If it does not cease to grumble;
And each alderman will mumble
Glad 'Hear, hears.'
While the nuts they calmly nibble
Let vague phrases gently dribble;
Give them any quip or quibble.
You're immense.
But, ah prithee! do not trifle
With a hint of acts; and stifle
Any mention of a rifle
Or defence.
For there's safety in the strong, brod view.
The suppression of the hard, strong 'do'
Is a matter most essential
When the Tory consequential
Is the man you reckon on to see you thro'.
Boost the view
Great view?
And they'll all begin to think they see it too.
Budding statesmen, there is muckle
In the View when you've to truckle
To the crowd that will not buckle
Into graft.
When your policy's a muddle,
And you're sailing in a puddle
With a Fusion crowd that huddle
On a raft;
Talk in vague, unmeaning jingle;
For the crowd with which you mingle
Holds within it scarce a single
One who'll work.
Here, where HANSARD's pages rustle,
Three a show of rush and bustle,
But there's ne'er a chance to hustle;
You must shirk.
Keep your eye upon the broad, strong view.
Call the crowd's attention to it till you're blue.
Keep them watching intently,
And you can con-ven-i-ently
Hate the fact that you hvae nothing much to do.
Praise the view
Fine view!
And they may forget to keep an eye on you.

Just A Machine
It’s just a machine,
Just a machine.
Four wheels that travel from A to B.
Why worship this idol that you see,
That’s pretty silly, don’t you agree.
It’s just a machine,
Just a machine.
Costing a fortune, must keep its shine.
Had to have it, this knockout design.
Thought it simply something so divine.
It’s just a machine,
Just a machine.
Depreciates in so quick a time.
Won’t last long, rusty, bang goes its prime.
It certainly won’t be worth a dime.
It’s just a machine,
Just a machine.
A car that travels from A to B.
Not an icon, no god this taxi,
Merely moulded plastic, with a key.
It’s just a machine,
Just a machine.

The Face
The face that matters
The voice that matters
The walk that matter
The eyes that matter
The lips that matter
The hair that matters
The tippet that matters
The annulets that matter
The ear-rings that matter
The bangles that matter
The lines on your hand
The lines on your forehead
The breath you take
The perfume you smell
All that matter to me.

Weird World
It's a Weird World...Weird World
Hey, hey, hey!
The sun is over the city but it's an orange day
There is reason for looking up but I'm feeling down
You see Ive got to catch a plane, won't buy a ticket
'Cause it's hard to just stop when you're spinning around
Its a weird world dont you know it?
Its a weird world and it wont slow down
Its a weird world no matter how you roll it
Hey, hey, hey! Sweet baby
Theres a way
Just stand up and fight it
Hey, hey, hey!
Never give up, and dont let it wear out (now)
Your love
It's a weird world...Yeah
Sent a message to a G.I.
In the desert
Said thank you man for bringing another dawn
Back here it's her and me
And we're having our first baby
And he's out there taking them on (on)
Its a weird world and I know you know it
Its a weird world and it wont slow down
Its a weird world no matter how you roll it
Hey, hey, hey! Sweet baby
Theres a way
Just stand up and fight it
Hey, hey, hey!
Never give up, dont let it wear out (now)
Your love
Im closing my eyes but Im starting to see
While hes looking at you, shes looking at me
The only thing he does is just keep me away from you
Sure part of this place would cheer if I died
Dont let them take away your beautiful smile
Take away your beautiful smile
Take away your beautiful smile
Hey, hey, hey! Sweet baby
Theres a way
Just stand up and fight it (Yeah, ye-ah!)
Hey, hey, hey! (sweet baby!) Sweet baby
Theres a way
For you to decide it
Hey, hey, hey!
Never give up, dont let it wear out (now)
Your love
Hey, hey, hey!
Its a weird world dont you know it?
Hey, hey, hey!
Its a weird world dont you know it?
Hey, hey, hey!
Oh, its a weird world dont you know it?
Hey, hey, hey...

You dehumanize a man as much by returning him to nature - by making him one with rocks, vegetation, and animals - as by turning him into a machine. Both the natural and the mechanical are the opposite of that which is uniquely human. Nature is a self-made machine, more perfectly automated than any automated machine. To create something in the image of nature is to create a machine, and it was by learning the inner working of nature that man became a builder of machines. It is also obvious that when man domesticated animals and plants he acquired self-made machines for the production of food, power, and beauty.

Woman Machine
She'll do your work in half the time
Never sick and can't go blind
Oh, woman machine
Brains of tape that fill her head
She knows more now than all the dead
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Heart of steel and skin that's cold
Can't wear her out, she can't grow old
Oh, woman machine
She goes to bed when her work is through
She'll do it all, just change the tubes
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine-ine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman
She can't talk back
With no playback
But she'll listen
To all your woe
Trade your old one
For a new one
They just don't make 'em like they used to
No!
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine

Weird
I like the way you never sleep
And the promises you never keep
I like the way you say hello
And make it sound like time to go
I like the scar above your lip
The way you let your feelings slip
But they are never what you feel
Oh so fake but completely real
Dont you think its weird
Weirder then weird
Thats what you are
Thats what you are to be
What I like about you
Is what you like about me
Dont you think its weird
I like the rules that multiply
And make the good things
Pass you by
Standing here without a plan
Thats why your such a happy man
Dont you think its weird
Weirder then weird
Thats what you are
Thats what you are to be
What I like about you
Is what you like about me
Dont you think its 1,2
I wanna make some changes
I want my money back
I wanna start up with you
I wanna talk to strangers
I wanna be with you
But I just dont know
Where or When
Thats what you are
Thats what you are to be
What I like about you
Is what you like about me
Dont you think its weird
Weirder then weird
Thats what you are
Thats what you are to be
What I like about you
Is what you like about me
Dont you think its weird

Yes Yes
when God created love he didn't help most
when God created dogs He didn't help dogs
when God created plants that was average
when God created hate we had a standard utility
when God created me He created me
when God created the monkey He was asleep
when He created the giraffe He was drunk
when He created narcotics He was high
and when He created suicide He was low
when He created you lying in bed
He knew what He was doing
He was drunk and He was high
and He created the mountians and the sea and fire at the same time
He made some mistakes
but when He created you lying in bed
He came all over His Blessed Universe.

Funny That
Funny how a smile can light up your day
Strange how a stranger can fight fears away
Weird how a puppy can constantly play
Odd how simplicity makes it all okay
Funny how writing can say more than a talk
Strange how a head can be cleared with a walk
Weird how someone loves you enough to stalk
Odd how someone thought of inventing a common fork
Funny how laughter can wipe tears from your face
Strange how chocolates can be hidden with no trace
Weird how there's billions yet still so much space
Odd how we've survived together as the human race

Where Do We Go From Here?
Me, I'm just running blind
Can't give you advice you need this time
You say of her, you can' decide
And yet you sit and watch her cry
Friend you're like the wind that blows
Like the sea, you come and go
I'm not trying to tell you
How I think that it should be
Because I know deep down that you're yearning to be free
And you're only gonna think of number one
So what am I to say?
No matter what you do, you're gonna hurt her anyway
When you know that your love has died
And you know how you feel inside
Well you've got to face up and show
What you're feeling when you know
Your parting words will be so untrue
Just as long as it don't come down on you
And you're scared to lay it on the line
Ah just in case you change your mind
I'm not trying to tell you
How I think that it should be
Because I know deep down that you're yearning to be free
And you're only gonna think of number one
So what am I to say?
No matter what you do, you're gonna hurt her anyway
When you know that your love has died
And you know how you feel inside
Well you've got to face up and show

Godwhacker
In the beginning
We could hang with the dude
But it's been too much of nothing
Of that stank attitude
Now they curse your name
And there's a bounty on your face
It's your own fault daddy
Godwhacker's on the case
We track your almighty ass thru seven heaven worlds
Me, Slinky Redfoot
And our trusty Angel-girls
And when the stars bleed out
That be the fever of the chase
You better get gone poppie
Godwhacker's on the case
Be very very quiet
Clock everything you see
Little things might matter later
At the start of the end of history
Climb up the glacier
Across bridges of light
We sniff you, Big Tiger
In the forest of the night
'Cause there's no escape
From the Rajahs of Erase
Better run run run
Godwhacker's on the case
Be very, very quiet
Clock everything you see
Little things might matter later
At the start of the end of history
Yes we are the Godwhackers
Who rip and chop and slice
For crimes beyond imagining
It's time to pay the price
You better step back son
Give the man some whacking space
You know this might get messy
GodWhacker's on the case

Watch out machine gun
Dont let her run you round
Dont let a woman put you six feet in the ground

Figured theyd kidnap a rich mans son
And make it in the world of crime

Careful of what you do now
If you keep listening to your old lady
Aint no telling whatll happen to you now

Where he lived until his dying day

Matterings
'All I want' she said' is to matter.'
'All I want' said the scientist 'is
to understand matter'.
'The problem of life' the philosopher said
'is figuring out what matters'
'The secret' the muse said 'to life
is figuring out what is to matter more
and to learn what matters less
The Lover said
'All that matters to me
is matters of the heart
and I did not matter to him enough.'
'What does it mean to matter
is an world of billions;
what tracings and scratchings
on the globe
can be identified
as mine engraved? ' said the nihilist.
'What if I matter to me and no one else? '
said the Lonely One
'We could all decide that we all matter
to one another in our community
and that would make mattering matter.'
said the preacher.
'Ideas matter' Plato said
'and they are the only thing real.'
'But alas' the writer said
'imagining is the only matter that matters
and besides what does mattering mean? '
Einstein thought all that mattered lived inside
the daydream and the thought experiment.
'What matters' the man of action said
'depends entirely upon circumstance'
What matters' she said 'is empathy
more even than love because the latter
is only inward looking toward The One:
empathy alone looks out to others.
'What matters, ' some said, 'is how do we
gets things to matter as opposed to
being cast aside as not mattering? '
The dictionary is no help at all.
Definitions of matter on the Web:
a vaguely specified concern; 'several matters to attend to'; 'it is none of your affair'; 'things are going well'
topic: some situation or event that is thought about; 'he kept drifting off the topic'; 'he had been thinking about the subject for several years'; 'it is a matter for the police'
that which has mass and occupies space; 'physicists study both the nature of matter and the forces which govern it'
a problem; 'is anything the matter? '
(used with negation) having consequence; 'they were friends and it was no matter who won the games'
count: have weight; have import, carry weight; 'It does not matter much'
written works (especially in books or magazines): 'he always took some reading matter with him on the plane'
wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
Matter is a general term for the 'stuff' of which the world is made
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matter
Matter is the substrate from which physical existence is derived, remaining more or less constant amid changes. anything that occupies space and has mass and weight. The word 'matter' is derived from the Latin word mā teria, meaning 'wood' in the sense 'material', as distinct from 'mind' or 'form'.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matter_(philosop hy)
This a surprising definition:
Matter is anything that has mass. Air, water, coffee, fire, human beings, and stars are matter. Light, X-rays, photons, gravitons, information, and love aren't matter.
antoine.frostburg.edu/chem/senese/101/ intro/glossary.shtml
If all of these definitions are true then we have a problem with what matters and what is mattering.
