I believe very strongly in people's rights to choose, being a sometime libertarian. If I was bed-ridden, and couldn't wander into the wilderness for my demise, I'd want someone to help me, too.

speaking every language have rights.
trees and rivers have rights.
cats and dogs have rights.
cattle have rights,
homeless people have rights.
prisoners have rights.
democrats and republicans have rights,
even socialists have rights.
the jobless have rights,
old people have rights...
and the hungry have
the right to be fed!

My thinking tends to be libertarian. That is, I oppose intrusions of the state into the private realm - as in abortion, sodomy, prostitution, pornography, drug use, or suicide, all of which I would strongly defend as matters of free choice in a representative democracy.

For M., THE Wanderer
you did not choose it
it is there already
you want to remove it
it just can't be
you ignore it
and learn to live
you sleep the whole day
and at night
you party the hours away
it is still there
it is choking you
somehow you know where
to take air
and breathe
in this everyday struggle
they claim they understand
your pain
you do not and
cannot ever believe them
some have fallen
and have become forgotten
others are happy of their
demise
it is you who understands
so well
and so you have
decided to wander
the desert land so vast
knows your pain
the mountains that are silent
knows the intensity of
your pains
the rivers and waterfalls
sing for you
they all know your pain
the plains lay the grass
for you
they know about your pain
and so you wander
not trusting anyone.

I've concluded that anarchism is an impractical ideal. Nowadays, I regard myself as a libertarian. I suppose an anarchist would say, paraphrasing what Marx said about agnostics being "frightened atheists,"that libertarians are simply frightened anarchists. Having just stated the case for the opposition, I will go along and agree with them: yes, I am frightened. I'm a libertarian because I don't trust the people as much as anarchists do. I want to see government limited as much as
possible; I would like to see it reduced back to where it was in Jefferson's time, or even smaller. But I would not like to see it abolished. I think the average American, if left totally free, would act exactly like Idi Amin. I don't trust the people any more than I trust the government.

Objectified
All beautiful things meet their demise
Flowers in bloom surely will die
Frozen are the wings of the dead butterfly
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
Clouds of gray spoil the light of the skies
The ocean must fall in order to rise
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
I knew I was doomed when you first said, “Hi.”
Two ships in the night, we were bound to collide
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
Four months can pass in the blink of an eye
We lose ourselves without having to try
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
The simplest words become hard to define
You can’t see the truth when you cover your eyes
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
Your pay the price to take this ride
Slowly, you find that you’re living a lie
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
Pictures of us will fade over time
We become strangers in a world so wide
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
You’ll keep on searching for what you won’t find
You’ll lose your faith while I lose my mind
Because all beautiful things meet their demise
All beautiful things meet their demise
Sometimes your morals get left behind
It will be too late when you realize
Because all beautiful things meet their demise

And...With The Secret Of Sins
It is unmistakably,
A feeling arriving from within.
When desires and wishes begin to connect,
And strongly identified...
With a drive that opens eyes wide,
To what 'has' to happen in discreetly taken steps...
That which only,
One's heart accepts.
And...
With the secret of sins,
Beginning untentionally implemented...
There is no stopping one craving and brave,
Having a taste that stays.
With employing deception...
If that's what it takes.
With the secret of sins committed,
And praying to be forgiven for them...
One acquires a thirst to achieve.
To sacrifice what is wrong or right.
And disregarding appearances of getting no rest...
On more than a few sleepless nights.
With a secret of sins committed,
And feeling guilt ridden within...
One knows a task has to be accomplished.
One so great the correctness of ways,
Must be forsaken.
To nibble on a wrong or two to chew...
The only thing felt one has to choose to do.
It is unmistakably,
A feeling arriving from within.
When desires and wishes begin to connect,
And strongly identified...
With a drive that opens eyes wide.
And it is with a secret of sins committed,
And feeling guilt ridden within...
One knows a task has to be accomplished.
One so great the correctness of ways,
Must be forsaken.

Smitten
Who must I be for you to love me
Endlessly, hopelessly, like I, do you
And where do I touch, when I need to so much
In a rush, wish you trust like I do
And I have tried to please her (oh, yeah)
Much to my demise
Please say somethin' to ease my mind
She gets quiet every time
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Yeah, yeah
Tricked by her smile, she needs me for a while
And I yearn, in return I am burned
Confess, I'm a mess, and there ain't too much left
But if she asked for it I'd give it in a minute (ah, yeah)
And I have tried to please her (yes, I am)
Much to my demise
Please, please say somethin' to ease my achin' mind
She gets quiet every time
Every time
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less (now listen)
I'm the one with quiet anger in oblivion
Tear tracks smear the smile on my face
And I am deep in love
I'm in love, I'm in love, y'all
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less (care less, care less, care less)
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Care less (oh, yes)
Hello, allow me to introduce myself
I am smitten
And she couldn't care less
Yeah, she, she couldn't care less
She couldn't care less
There ain't nothin' I can do about it
No, no, no, no, no
There ain't nothin' I can do about it

A libertarian presidential candidate isn't going to win anyway, so he can afford to say that all taxation is theft, and it isn't the job of a libertarian presidential candidate to cook up new ways to commit theft.

Girls Have Rights Too
Girls must have the undeniable rights to speak,
And the God-given rights to choose and pick.
Girls must have the rights to be educated,
To be respected and to be protected.
Girls are human beings too;
Girls must have all the rights too.
Girls must have the rights to fight
For respect, comfort and decency.
Girls like boys are bright,
Girls must be able to taste the fruit of equality.
Girls are people too,
Girls are wonderful too.
Education is the light at the end of the tunnel,
And ignorance is the moon at the bottom of the funnel.
Education is the hope that triggers better opportunities,
It is also the antidote that defeats all sorts of disease.
Therefore, girls must have the rights to be educated,
To be protected and to be respected.

People Choose To Die
People choose to die
He smokes even though he knows each smoke he takes kills him
People choose to die
She stays with him even though he beats her every night
People choose to die
He continues to be a prostitute even though he's been living with HIV for the last 3 years.
People choose to die
She drinks and drives even though she's been in 15 drunk driving accidents. Even hit a little girl.
People choose to die.
Thats what we fail to realize.

It's a Dream
I think
I am
A wild and free horse
Out in the meadows
In the wilderness
I think I am free
At will
To wander wherever I so choose
I think I am
My own master
But then my dream
Is over
And I wake up
To realize that I am a farm horse
Giving visitors the excitement of riding me

I Could Die For You
Something inside the cards
I know is right
Don't want to live
Somebody elses life
This is what I want to be
And this is what I give to you
Because I get it free
She smiles while I do my time
I could die for you
Oh this life I choose
I'm here to be your only go-between
To tell you of the sights
These eyes have seen
What I really want to do is
Turn it into motion
Beauty that I can't abuse
You know that I'd use my senses to
You can see that
It's only everywhere
I'd take it all and then
I'd find a way to share
Come along and go
Along with me
Wander with me yo
It's all for free
I could die for you
Whatchu wanna do
Oh this life I choose
Come again and tell me
Where you want to go
What it means for me
To be with you alone
Close the door and
No one has to know
How we are
Come along and go
Along with me
Wander with me yo
It's all for free
I could die for you
Whatchu want to do
Oh this life I choose

Sonnet: Choose The Things in Your Life
0 choose your friend who must be good as you;
And choose your spouse better than you; make sure;
And choose the one best as your Teacher too;
And choose ambitions that suit your nature.
0 choose the profession thats truly best;
And choose the hobbies that ne'er interfere;
And choose your Time to begin work, take rest;
And choose your enemies, you surely fear.
0 choose your food that gives extended health;
And choose your garments -comfortable wear;
And choose the honest way to added wealth;
And choose the burden right, body can bear.
0 choose the people who deserve help most;
And choose good principles, yet never boast.

I Wonder As I Wander
I wonder as I wander, outunder the sky
How jesus the savior, did come for die
For poor ornry people like you and like i
I wonder as I wander, outunder the sky
When mary birthed jesus, twas in a cowstall
With wise men and farmers and shepherds and all
And high from gods heaven a starlight did fall
And the promise of ages, it then did recall
If jesus had wanted for any wee thing
A star in the sky or a bird on the wing
Or all of gods angels in heaven to sing
He surely couldve had it, cause he was the king
I wonder as I wander, outunder the sky
I wonder as I wander
I wonder as I wander, outunder the sky
How jesus the savior, did come for die
For poor ornry people like you and like i
I wonder as I wander, outunder the sky
I wonder as I wander outunder the, sky

I do not agree with the extremists of either the left or the right, but I think they should be allowed to speak and to publish, both because they themselves have, and ought to have, rights, and once their rights are gone, the rights of the rest of us are hardly safe. Extremists typically want to squash not only those who disagree with them diametrically, but those who disagree with them at all. It seems to me that in every country where extremists of the left have gotten sufficiently in the saddle to squash the extremists of the right, they have ridden on to squash the center or terrorize it also. And the same goes for extremists of the right. I do not want that to happen in our country.

We Need Changes Now
The changes we need, for the most part, remain well hidden,
By the media or the Supreme Court, they are strongly forbidden,
Can’t even be discussed at elections because it’s never allowed,
To think about this, could put you under a human-rights cloud.
A provincial premier should be prime minister each year,
Not politicians trying to turn the top job into a career,
No parties claiming to have special parliamentary rights,
Votes in parliament should be by individuals – not party fights.
We need death with dignity and binding referendums to start,
Not a remote idea from some political bleeding heart,
We need proportional representation in every ward,
It should be the people – not the politicians – who scored.

I felt very strongly the whole social impact of that depression, you know, and I felt very strongly about the efforts that this Resettlement Administration was trying to accomplish; resettling people, helping them, and so on.
We tried many times before to speed on the social revolution in Spain; attempted to stir up the feelings of the people and to raise the banner of Libertarian Communism.
