No spiders in the city

There was once a girl that had a scream,
Which was unbelievably extreme,
She caused many neighbours to blaspheme,
For when she'd see a spider she'd scream,
By chance she heard something a bird said,
It claimed that it had been underfed,
For it lived where spiders rarely tread,
The girl believed the words that were said,
She upped sticks and moved to the city,
Which left her neighbours far from teary,
Although she found urban life gritty,
She endured the days that were dreary,
For what she had heard proved to be true,
Which led to her screams being subdued,
But there were things that were not in view,
When she saw them she altered her mood,
She'd come to learn somethings were untrue,
Things such as hard work will see you through,
However if only but a few,
Certain childish beliefs turned out true,
Monsters do live underneath the bed,
The horrid creatures filled her with dread,
She felt with spiders she'd been misled,
The true horrors were under her bed,
It became too much for her to bear,
She hated the creatures living there,
They led her to a state of despair,
So she thought she'd go and live elsewhere,
She moved back home to the countryside,
Her neighbours of course did not abide,
But they need not have heavily sighed,
The girl didn't fear spiders when spied.

Spiders In The Night

Spiders in the night
Creeping round the walls
Now you'll feel him
Crawling over you

Creepy crawly things
Filling up your bed
Soon you'll feel him
Crawling through your brains

You think he's there
Beware his bite
But when you look
The spider's not in sight

Spiders reappear
Taking peoples names
Everything is taken down insane

There's no way out
And there's no key
But here's a clue
The spider's really me

You're written in his book
The spider won't forget
You won't forget
The spiders in the night

The end is going night
Itsy witsy friends
The spiders disappearing from the night

You think he's gone
You think he's dead
There's no escape
The spiders in your head

All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night

Nicklin’s Torment

I woke up in a cold sweat
and turned on the light.
A shadow was moving over me,
cast by a spider of the night.

By the time I’d blinked
it’d vanished from view,
but then I saw a larger one,
followed by another two.

I closed my eyes for a moment
hoping they would disappear.
When I slowly reopened them
the bedroom was spider clear.

With my hand I mopped my brow
and then saw several more,
they were crawling on the ceiling
and marching across the floor.

I told myself that I was dreaming
or suffering from withdrawal,
but that didn’t stop the spiders
from crawling up the wall.

Sweat dripping from my brow
was stinging in my eyes.
Spiders were now on my bed
at my feet and on my thighs.

The whole room was full of spiders,
on the ceiling, walls, and floor.
My bed was covered and so was I.
I screamed stop! But out came even more.

Spiders crawling on top of spiders,
in my mouth, nose and ears,
their scary eyes staring into mine,
I was choking with utter fear.

I tried in vain to fight them off,
but my hand didn’t move a one.
I must have blacked out just then,
when I awoke they had all gone.

Things are becoming better now
and the spiders are getting less.
I’m told they’ll eventually go for good,
along with my shakes, thirst, and mess.

Boy/girl

Boy-girl, boy-girl
When a boy meets a girl
Boy-girl
Finding out
Im finding out the things
That Ive been talking about
Im finding all the things
That Ive been missing out
Finding all the things
I lose my mind
Sometimes fall behind
You and I we live on the big ship
And time goes by
You make up and I believe a ladys lie
The skinheads call it strawberries and cream
Sometimes I scream
Boy-girl, boy-girl
When a boy meets a girl
Boy-girl
We go out
A picture or a disco or a roundabout
I walk you home, I hold you there
Youre giving out
I open doors so I can shut your face
Know your place
Boy-girl, boy-girl
When a boy meets a girl
Boy-girl
You can take me in your hand
Stand back, leave me, come in
Up and down and all around
You will sideways to the ground
Boy-girl, boy-girl
When a boy meets a girl
[repeat until end]

It's getting late

The way you talk I often wondered
If I heard the words somewhere
Someplace before

And found that lately
You had gone and changed your name
But I've got something on my mind
I want you here
I want you now
You better explain
Is it true you're running round
Now is it true they're calling you

Your best friend never calls you up
But you don't mind
'Cause lately things are all the same
Ain't it strange how peope always seem
To know your face
But just don't know your name
Well I don't care there's no-one there
That even turn around and say get out of this place
Last night I saw a shooting star
When morning comes
She hides away
A real disgrace
Is it true you're running round
Now is it true they're calling you

Be True To Your School

When some loud braggart tries to put me down
And says his school is great
I tell him right away
Now whats the matter buddy
Aint you heard of my school
Its number one in the state
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
I got a lettermans sweater
With a letter in front
I got for footbal and track
Im proud to where it now
When I cruise around
The other parts of the town
I got a decal in back
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
On friday well be jacked up on the football game
And Ill be ready to fight
Were gonna smash em now
My girl will be working on her pom-poms now
And shell be yelling tonight
So be true to your school now
Just like you would to your girl or guy
Be true to your school now
And let your colors fly
Be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school
Rah rah rah be true to your school

Sorry Little Girl

SORRY LITTLE GIRL THAT YOU CRY

SORRY LITTLE GIRL THAT HE WENT AWAY

SORRY LITTLE GIRL YOU CARRY SO MUCH PAIN

SORRY LITTLE GIRL IT DIDN'T WORK OUT YOUR WAY

SORRY LITTLE GIRL YOU WILL SEE HIM SOMEDAY

SORRY LITTLE GIRL FOR YOUR TEARS

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I LOST MY MIND

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I'M NOT THE ONE YOU CAN LEAN ON

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I CRY TOO

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I CAN'T TAKE BACK THAT DAY

YOU KNOW I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU

SORRY LITTLE GIRL I COULDN'T WAKE HIM UP, LIKE YOU ASK ME TO

LITTLE GIRL HE LOVES YOU AND YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE

LITTLE GIRL JUST LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER HE IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU

LITTLE GIRL PLEASE DON'T CRY ANYMORE

IT MAKES ME SAD TO SEE YOU IN SO MUCH PAIN, I WISH YOU WERE STILL FOUR WHEN A KISS WOULD STILL FIX EVERYTHING

Allegiances

It is time for all the heroes to go home
if they have any, time for all of us common ones
to locate ourselves by the real things
we live by.

Far to the north, or indeed in any direction,
strange mountains and creatures have always lurked-
elves, goblins, trolls, and spiders:-we
encounter them in dread and wonder,

But once we have tasted far streams, touched the gold,
found some limit beyond the waterfall,
a season changes, and we come back, changed
but safe, quiet, grateful.

Suppose an insane wind holds all the hills
while strange beliefs whine at the traveler's ears,
we ordinary beings can cling to the earth and love
where we are, sturdy for common things.

Madonna of the Streets

For many years, she walked the streets
and her body she sold.
It was a living, she said,
but deep within her,
there was a heart of gold.
The story goes they called her
the Madonna of the streets.
If anyone needed help,
her outstretched hand was always there.
She rescued many young souls
from the streets of despair.
Her neighbours turned their nose up
at her living ways,
but took a long second look
the day the lord took her away.

A child was playing in the road,
the car they did not see,
but this woman of the night
saw what was happening there.
There was a screech of brakes,
a child screaming for his mum,
and a twisted broken body
underneath the wheels of the car.
When the crowds began to gather,
the tragedy became very clear.
The girl had been passing,
saw what was happening there,
had sacrificed her own life
for that child fair.

The neighbours,
who had shunned her,
now began to weep openly
for that loathsome girl
that lived down the street,
and whose friends had nicknamed her,
the Madonna of the streets.
Many learned a lesson
on that fateful day.
That was not to judge to harshly
those they do not really know.

Take me Back home

Take me back,
Back where I once came from,
From the place I was born and raised,
This place I am at its not home its pure hell for me,
A young child who was only
8 left home to be in a new so called happy place,
That place made me miserable,
Hated by those who hated me,
Picked on those you can’t fight back,
Yet I cry and cry over no one heard my pain,
I scream no one heard,
It’s a little too late for me to go back,
At 16 yet I still think of my true home where my true heart lays,
Where I must try to go back no matter what it takes,
Just take me back home where I feel safe at.

You Were Right Girl

Its hard to say how long its been, but once upon a time
You were my best friend, Im sorry I hurt you but I loved him, loved him
You said Id get hurt in the end, you tried to warn me with good advice
Instead of listening, I paid the price, yes I did, you told me back then
You said hell love you, leave you, you said his heart was cold as ice
And you were right girl, yes, he played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Hmm, it all came true, (you were right girl), I know
I should have known it all along, (you were right girl)
Yes, you were right and I was wrong, I thought you blamed him for your mistakes
That all your put downs were just sour grapes, you told me back then
That theyll be lyin, cryin and it wont be his heart that breaks
And ooh, (you were right girl) you were right girl
He played me for a fool, (you were right girl) oh
It all came true, you were (you were right girl) right girl
Yes, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
You were right girl, you were right and I was wrong
Oh, what made me think that I was different from you
That I could make him do what he wouldnt do for you
Now you told me back then Id never change him, change him
But hed change me before hes through, and ooh (you were right girl)
You were right girl, he played me for a fool, he really did
(you were right girl) well, it all came true, (you were right girl)
You were so right, I should have known it all along (you were right girl)
Oh, yes, you were right and I was wrong, oh, (you were right girl)
He really played me for a fool, (you were right girl)
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, it all came true (you were right girl)
Yeah, (you were right girl) you were right girl
I should have known it all along, (you were righ girl)
You were right girlfriend, you were right and I was wrong, woo, woo, woo
(you were right girl) you were right my girl, (you were right girl)
You were right my girl, he played me for a great big fool

Little girl! ! ! (please read my poems i want to know what u all think)

Little girl don't you cry, everything will be ok
Little girl please just listen to what i have got to say
Little girl make a wish, sit back, watch the stars and pray
Little girl some one will soon come along to help you guide your way

Little girl just relax and go and play
Little girl someone will be there to brighten up your day
Little girl your still young you have plenty of time
Little girl just talk to me then you'll be fine
Little girl im not a perfessional but il try my very best
Little girl i just dont like to see you in this horrible mess

Little girl take my hand, be happy don't be blue
Little girl im sorry to say but it was not true
Little girl dont you look for love, let it come and find you
Little girl you will just have to wait theres nothing else you can do
Little girl please stop sobbing, because you made a mistake
Little girl just remember its an easy thing to make
Little girl you got to beleive that is true
Little girl nobodys perfect not even you
Little girl your so special in your own little way
Little girl don't listen to what anyone else as got to say

Little girl i know it's hard, but please don't you give in
Little girl please be strong, dont ever let him win

Little girl you're not alone, that will always be true
Little girl so young and sweet, I'll always be hear for you

Little girl close your eyes and try and let the past go
Little girl if you dont give it a shot you will never know.

Summer

The days were beautifully serene,
And those that lived them were carefree,
Warmed by sights that were to be seen,
As nature's greatness was set free,
One to which the sights did appeal,
Quite soon found herself filled with glee,
Due to how the sun made her feel,
And flaunt what she once did conceal,
The girl wished to be the sun's bride,
As for him she was urged to pine,
The sun made her feel good inside,
For in his presence she would shine,
All that the sun managed to light,
Showed the world that the girl was fine,
She made for an entrancing sight,
As a love she sought to ignite,

To try to make the sun her prince,
The girl acted at every chance,
A love was lost and he's not loved since,
So he ignored every advance,
Hearts are broken with reluctance,
And around the matter we'll dance,
So to avoid any grievance,
That might come as a consequence,
The young girl didn't give up hope,
And made her perseverance known,
With failure the girl could not cope,
For towards it she was not prone,
The girl put her beauty on show,
Adamant not to be alone,
Hopeful she could make love grow,
And thus avoid feeling sorrow,

The girl managed to have her way,
She claimed the sun as her new flame,
But with him she was not to stay,
Owing to how hot things became,
The girl found herself under strain,
Since the sun's verve was hard to tame,
She did try her best to explain,
Yet still caused the sun much pain,
The sun tried winning the girl once more,
For he knew chances of love are rare,
He found that fact hard to ignore,
Which sadly drove him to despair,
A loveless life was the sun's fear,
As he thought it'd be hard to bear,
The sun quite nearly cried a tear,
For he felt his fate was clear,

The sun could not but lose his cool,
When he saw those under love's spell,
He'd be envious as a rule,
And would burn like the flames in hell,
The sun hated all that he did feel,
For such emotions were hard to quell,
And he found them hard to conceal,
Since his broken heart would not heal,
Due to the sun's queer state of mind,
Events occurred that were unplanned,
Counter to how he was inclined,
The sun acted to scorch the land,
There was suffering far and wide,
As the heat was hard to withstand,
All the streams and pools in time dried,
While plants withered up and then died,

The sun was cooled down just in time,
His love returned and used her charm,
She felt what he'd done was a crime,
And wanted to prevent more harm,
The sun's ex-love got through to him,
And managed to get him to calm
By singing a soothing poem,
Which staved off a fate that was grim,
The girl had knowledge to impart,
Which made the sun be less distraught,
She said time would heal his heart,
And he would find the one he sought,
The sun was told that he should wait,
All was not hopeless as he thought,
For if he had faith in his fate,
He would get to find his soul mate,

The girl's advice was taken on,
Because it gave hope to the sun,
And on account of which he shone,
Seeking to light that prized someone,
With the sun tame as he'd once been,
The damage he'd caused was undone,
Across the land a change was seen,
As again all became serene,
There's no telling when love can strike,
And though it may lead to heartache,
The knowledge of what it feels like,
Means no love can be a mistake,
Even if things may appear bleak,
There's always steps one can take,
So to claim the love they seek,
With no regret of which to speak.

He Aint Give You None

Little gal, little girl, lord, you know its true,
Little gal, little girl, lord, you know its true,
I dont wanna stop rockin and rollin with you.
Are you gonna let me stand alone ?
Are you gonna let me stand alone ?
Caught you this morning before your daddy came home.
And I done more for you than your daddy has ever done,
I done more for you than your daddy has ever done,
Gave you my jelly roll and he aint give you none.
Lets go, eric.
Dont you ever go down, down on curzon street, its bad.
Dont you ever go down, down on curzon street.
Thats where old john flogs his daily meat.
Maybe sometime he say leave the little boy and the girl behind.
I got messed up round somewhere called notting hill gate,
I lived there for a while, but I moved out and when I moved out I was in such a state,
Ive never gone back there,
But i, Im sure I done more for you than your daddy has ever done, baby,
Made you learn your syllables.
Done more for you than your daddy has ever done, all right, ha ha,
Gave you my jelly roll and he aint give you none.
Stay on the move.
In the back street, in the back street I gave you my jelly roll,
Ah, I gave it to you, ha ha.
Remember when we were down in the, the alley
And I said the lights were out, baby this is it you know, ha ha ha,
All right, we got a good thing going.
You can leave now if you dont like whats happening.
You know we got a... a few things going, you know, ha ha,
Its a drag, ha ha, huh, thats what you call it.

Youll Find Me

Up and off to work again, going through the motions
I bet she tried to warn me and I didnt even notice
til I got home and found her gone
Left with just a letter
Folded with a key on top
Sitting on the dresser
I opened it
It simply read
Chorus
Look and you will find me
I wont be that far
Ill be right here waiting for you with open arms
I dont want to live without you
But I cant go on like this
Torn between the man I love and the one Im living with
Its a conflict of emotion
To my heart I must be true
I know that I need you
But you have to need me too
So if you get home and miss me in your life
Youll find me
I called her family asked everyone who knows her
Telling them in detail all the things I should have told her
How much she really means to me and how much Im regretting
But so far no ones heard from her and all that I am left with
Is how I let her go
And the letter she wrotesaying youll find me
Bridge
I spent the next eight hours wondering where on earth you were
It was getting late, I was getting tired and growing more concerned
When all at once it hit me, that piano bar back home
Where I asked you to marry me
And there you were alone
2nd chorus
I knew I would find you
And how it warmed my heart
To see you right there waiting for me with open arms
Said I dont know where Im going, but I cant go on like this
The thought of life without you is something I just cant live with
Its a conflict of emotion
To my heart I must be true
You told me that you need me
Well, girl I need you too
So if you come home and want me in your life

In Life on Earth…

The west is not always the best
And east not always the worst;
The north is indiscernible;
The south is unexplainable.

Never ape all things you find around;
Never follow ones un-understandable;
Emulate the good found in others;
Take the good what cultures offer you.

Give unto Caesar what is due to him;
Give unto God what rightly belongs to Him;
One cannot serve both world and God
Except by being righteous all the time.

Nothing you do must exceed its limits;
There are some things that God abhors;
Both good and bad on earth are transient
But will decide your spot in after-life.

Learn to be wise and risk not priceless life;
Learn to not hate but love others around;
Learn to adjust with neighbours and creatures;
Learn to seek God and truth by being holy!

In life on earth, we ought to live right way;
Our conscience will ably guide us through;
Why worry for things earthly, lasting short?
Work for those things eternal in heaven!

William Butler Yeats

Why Should Not Old Men Be Mad?

WHY should not old men be mad?
Some have known a likely lad
That had a sound fly-fisher's wrist
Turn to a drunken journalist;
A girl that knew all Dante once
Live to bear children to a dunce;
A Helen of social welfare dream,
Climb on a wagonette to scream.
Some think it a matter of course that chance
Should starve good men and bad advance,
That if their neighbours figured plain,
As though upon a lighted screen,
No single story would they find
Of an unbroken happy mind,
A finish worthy of the start.
Young men know nothing of this sort,
Observant old men know it well;
And when they know what old books tell
And that no better can be had,
Know why an old man should be mad.

Little girl, little girl! !

Little girl, little girl,
Hiding in the cuboard.
Clutching Mr. Teddy.
Little girl, little girl,
They know you're in there,
You cannot hide forever.

You've heard the screams,
You've heard the threats,
The whole show like a radio
Now the final scene comes.

You heard the plates go 'smash'
And you heard the doors slamm
You see the blood run under the door.
They're looking for you, little girl,
Stay still, stay very very still.

Little girl, little girl,
It's safe to come out now.
Open the door slowly
And don't make a sound.
Come out, little girl,
I'm here. I'm alive. I'm waiting for you.
