I remember how it used to feel
Riding down old two mile hill
Tennis shoes up on the handle bars
Paying no mind to the passing cars
No doubts, no fears, just like when you are here

My Mother And I
You dropped me off for the first day of school,
You cried a little and I looked like a fool,
You watched me play, play all day,
As you sat there, you would say,
Don't go too far, stay where I can see you,
I never listened, I’d stray away,
As I grew older I still would play,
But play with girls I’d say, no way
School became harder, you'd stay up and say,
You should have done your homework before you went to play,
I laughed, who would want to do homework instead of play?
I never listened, I’d stray away,
As times changed you grew sick,
I tried to make you feel better any way I could,
But the sickness there, could not be overlooked,
You said you'd be fine, it'll all be ok,
I couldn't look I strayed away,
You're gone now, and yes I’m sad,
But it was for the better and for that I’m glad,

Your mind causes wander, yet your heart begs of stay!
Your fears, perhaps overwhelming, cause you to stray!
Naught is there a nemesis worthy of love's might-
No matter concern, it shan't suffice to remove you from my sight!
Nary explication, perhaps you are not able to proffer such-
Without reason, my heart's ache is not offered much!
Do you ruminate of me I am left to wonder! ?
In wake of your absence, my heart is torn asunder! !
A promise of unity you made to me for all we face,

What use is life if we do not
find time to contemplate our lot
Why are we here where do we go
there is so much we do not know.
Is there a purpose we should seek?
If there is not our outlooks bleak
Were we created by intent
or are we just an accident.
Philosophers cannot agree
and learned priest pretend to be.
The only ones who know the way
and if we follow we won’t stray.
Now I believe there is a god
and those who don’t I find quite odd.
If God gave each man free will
why is it that men seek to kill.
All other men who choose to pray
to their own god in their own way
Your God and my God are the same
we merely use a different name
What difference does a title make
not much at all for pity’s sake.
I will respect your point of view
Perhaps you can respect mine too.
Either one God omnipotent.

Smile
Ill smile for you
Just because you'll smile for me too
They say that there is a gift to a smile
But it seems that I'm not going to smile again for a while
I'm going away to a far off place
They say I'll need my space
But I'm worried that I'll lose my way
Because of the games they play
I'm all one for games, they help keep people near
But it seems the place I'm going is one of my fears
It's not a prison of any kind
That's what they say but it plays on my mind
If it's not a cage then why the locks and bars
Where are the windows, the gardens, the stars?
It's white and clean, they say it helps but I disagree
How am I meant to smile if I can't just be me?
So I ask you this one favour only a small request
Will you come and play my games after I rest
If I'm left alone in this place I might go insane

A wish from boy
How can I forget you on this auspicious day?
On this very date you brightened the day
You came on earth to show me the way
You are high hope and bright ray
I want to convey my deep feeling
Are you really in for it and willing?
I shall remain forever by your side
We may play together and go for ride
You did what all you could do
You insisted for what was true
You fought for me for what was due
You came to my help and tried to rescue
I shall remember your kind company
You were always eager to come with me and accompany
There were friends so many
You were like star and incomparable with any
Shall I wish for many more happy years?
All good advices pass through your ears
All success and fame may come to your way
You stay supreme and have your sway
It is little wish from your small friend
Friendship may flourish and not to an end

You never did any harm with malign intention
