Late last night at a fancy dress ball
I was dancing with all the queens and lords
When a tall and mystic man took me by the hand
And began dancing my eyes away

The Domino Effect

A flame licked at a single domino.
And that single domino fell.
Just that one.
It leaned against the one before it,
and it was held in the air.
But only for a moment.
Soon, every single black-and-white
domino was fallen in the gray dust.
A cloud of Time rested on top.
And a steady hand came.
With a new set of dominoes,
each one a different shade
of gray.
The lint built up.
And this lint was soon on fire;
the flame licked at a single domino.
This domino fell.
As did the others.
But they were replaced as they lay
under the dust of Time.
Black-and-white dominoes
were set above them,
only to be fallen by flames.

Dining on the minus sign.
Dollars dwindling.
Leaving many to feel swindled.
And the pressures of the times grind.
People try to dismiss the pissed feeling.
'Issues' carried seek others to use!
To dump confusing abusive excuses.
Domino...
The slow fall comes,
To those perplexed.
Domino...
Shows upon those doorsteps.
As the stumbling to avoid,
A growing unrest...
Knocks to shatter a peace that's kept,
With foreclosures to consume,
Consumers of their valuables...
Along with dwellings they treasured,

Ten Euro Note

Ten Euro Note

The old road into town is only used by walkers
now, weird people, who would look out of place
anywhere else and Marian Hyde, who writes
about alternative lifestyles, in the Guardian.

I had found a wallet with a twenty euro note,
photos of a posing nude woman, it belonged to
someone named Carol. I asked around, they all
knew her, a pro who often walked this way.

A handmade and of real leather and on and
impulse I added a ten euro note and wondered
if when I caught up with her she would notice,
or was my motive more self serving?

I met up with Carol at a road side pub gave her
the purse, she opened it counted the money,
said nothing, but she was talking to a footballer
who wanted to be tennis professional.

I walked where I was accosted by a Liverpool
comedian who couldn’t stop telling jokes,
I soon stopped laughing, smiling and listening,
but my disinterest didn’t matter anyway.

Carol came out, joined us, she had bought me
a beer and was in a good mood, the comedian
had fallen asleep, she knew the why of my ten
euro note and I knew of her nude pictures.

EURO-The Football Spirit

What's a ball without a kick
That's almost how we try and trick
Like mountaineers with cold food
We are always down with a football shoot
Craving for the last minute bounce
We end up blowing the goalie down
Football's what we need
Football's what we breathe
That's what we crave for and
That's what we live for
It's the time, it's the year
Only 42 days and we'll clear
the EURO waves and kick it start

70 Euro for my lover in the bush and,

She is married with children.

Landry Is My Nephew

Landry is my first nephew!
So proud I am...
That he has become a great man.
I am familiar with his easy smile.
And I observe him as he disciplines...
Each of his growing six children!
SIX?
That he now has six transfixes me sometimes!
Like a piecing jolt of reality,
Playing tricks on my mind.

Time has passed so fast...
As I think of the responsibility,
And Landry's current tasks!
So many he juggles...
As a 'master' with class!

I tell him all the time,
I am so proud of him!
And when I hear him speak of his children,
I say to myself...
'That's the man I wish I had been! '

He doesn't walk on water...
Like I think 'he' thinks he oughta!
I see a lot of me...
His dad and my sister Mim too I 'see'.
And I can say with much pride...
I am so happy Landry is MY nephew!
As I cherish these thoughts each day inside!
Knowing and loving him as I do.

The Economy Part 1

The Economy

Burning bed, the mattress, afire; under it I had two thousand Euro,
as banks can go belly up any time bolt their doors and call the law
to keep the screaming multitude at bay.

Too late, my poor man´s saving burnt to ashes. I shall not cry, soon
the euro will be quite valueless when 10.000 is worth ten pence,
and for that I can´t even buy an ice-cream.

I do regret I wasn´t a good consumer didn´t help the economy
by not using credit cards to buy stuff I didn´t need, I have failed
in my duty as citizen and now harvest devastation.
