Charles Kingsley

My Little Doll

I once had a sweet little doll, dears,
The prettiest doll in the world;
Her cheeks were so red and so white, dears,
And her hair was so charmingly curled.
But I lost my poor little doll, dears,
As I played in the heath one day;
And I cried for more than a week, dears,
But I never could find where she lay.

I found my poor little doll, dears,
As I played in the heath one day:
Folks say she is terribly changed, dears,
For her paint is all washed away,
And her arms trodden off by the cows, dears
And her hair not the least bit curled:
Yet for old sakes' sake she is still, dears,
The prettiest doll in the world.

In Our Symposium

He....., a gentleman generous and broad-minded
Who we can't stand without saying 'Yes'.
Sometimes, he may be sensitive.
But for us, he's like a sky positive.
Ow! dears, how splendid our Sayagyi(teacher) is!

She....., a lady luminous and patient
Who we bow with paying respect.
Sometimes, she may be lazy.
But for us, she's like a sea steady.
Ow! dears, what our lovely Sayamagyi(teacher) !

There....., a place fantastic and miraculous
Where our hearts and brains are ably absorbed.
Sometimes, it may have problems.
But for us, it's like a paradise of freedom.
Ow! dears, what our breathtaking symposium!

We....., guys kind-hearted and dutiful
Who also have legacy of confidence wonderful.
Sometimes, we may build up over friendship together.
But generally, we're just like brothers and sisters.
Ow! dears, be proud of being symposiast forever!

Be At Peace

I do not wish to have you cry
for though I'm gone I did not die.

I do not wish for you to grieve.
For it was my time, my dears to leave.

I do not wish for anyone
to wonder what they could have done.

For to rue in my absence words not said
does not make sense for I'm not dead.

For I'm the sun, the stars, the moon
and I'm the morning, night and noon.

I'm the butterfly flitting in air.
I'm the babe that has no care.

I'm the music in your ear
that let's you know that I am near.

And so my loved ones be at peace'
Let your memories of me release

every teardropp that you cry,
because my dears I did not die.

How It All Began

So we settled it all when the storm was done
As comfy as comfy could be;
And I was to wait in the barn, my dears,
Because I was only three.
And Teddy would run to the rainbow's foot
Because he was five and a man--
And that's how it all began, my dears,
And that's how it all began!

Lament of a Wash-basin

LAMENT OF A WASH-BASIN

Very sorry my friends,
If by my lament,
Your tender hearts, I hurt,
When thus out I blurt.

But no other way have I,
To gain your sympathy o'er my cry,
Than in black and white to mention
And draw your kind attention.

All of you I beseech,
To yonder bin to reach
And, my dears-there to empty
Your tiffin-boxes, of left-overs sundry.

Of my gurgling throat, I'm sure,
It'll no more be wrote to cure,
For, I hope, you'll ne'er again so choke
And then, with a rod try to poke!

Thank you so much, my dears,
For so patiently lending your ears,
To the lament of a poor sink,
In this emanating stink!

Lover Doll

(words & music by wayne - silver)
Lover doll, oh lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Youre the cutest lover doll
That I ever did ever see
Let me tell you lover doll
You were meant, just meant for me
On the first time that I saw you
How I fell for your cuddly charms
Lover doll Im crazy for you
Let me rock you in my arms
Im so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
Im gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home
I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy
Im so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
Im gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home
I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy
Let me be your lover boy

Baby Doll

Girl of my dreams she dont love me
Always the way it seems to be
My baby doll
Light of my life she turns it on
Over my head not close enough
My baby doll
Baby doll
You look so good
Baby doll
You feel so big
Baby doll
You let me have it
Why did you do it baby doll
Quick-tempered queen knows what she wants
And what I got is what its not
My baby doll

Little Doll

Little doll I cant forget
Smoking on a cigarette
In my life a real queen
Prettiest thing I ever seen
Uh-huh
Youre the one who makes me sing
Bring happiness and everything
Youre the only real one
A real way to have some fun
Uh- huh
But I dont know you little doll
I dont know you little doll
Come on shake
Come on shake
Come on shake you little doll
Shake you little doll
Come on.... shake
Come on shake
Shake you little doll

Hair Now Gone Tomorrow

It is neither here not there
But there was a time I had a lot of hair
As it passed, the time I mean
Everywhere my hair was seen
In the tub and in the sink
In the food and in the drink
Till all there was left my dears
Was a little bit above the ears

Katherine Mansfield

Evening Song of the Thoughtful Child

Shadow children, thin and small,
Now the day is left behind,
You are dancing on the wall,
On the curtains, on the blind.

On the ceiling, children, too,
Peeping round the nursery door,
Let me come and play with you,
As we always played before.

Let's pretend that we have wings
And can really truly fly
Over every sort of things
Up and up into the sky.

Where the sweet star children play--
It does seem a dreadful rule,
They must stay inside all day.
I suppose they go to school.

And to-night, dears, do you see,
They are having such a race
With their father moon--the tree
Almost hides his funny face.

Shadow children, once at night,
I was all tucked up in bed,
Father moon came--such a fright--
Through the window poked his head;

I could see his staring eyes,
O, my dears, I was afraid,
That was not a nice surprise,
And the dreadful noise I made!

Let us make a fairy ring,
Shadow children, hand in hand,
And our songs quite softly sing
That we learned in fairyland.

Shadow children, hin and small,
See, the day is far behind;
And I kiss you--on the wall--
On the curtains--on the blind.

Shabby Doll

Giving you more of what for
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Whats going on behind the green elevator door
With just a shabby doll
Theres a hit man facing
A compromising situation
With just a shabby doll
And a very neat line in character assassination
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes putting him off and putting you on
Shes just the shabby doll
Youre swearing upon you know in your heart
Shes gone you know in your heart
Shes just a shabby doll
Theres a girl in this dress
Theres always a girl in distress
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes so sure shes self-possessed
Then again shes half undressed
Shes just a shabby doll
The boy that I used to be
Showed no sign of sympathy
For just a shabby doll
I have betrayed you and me
And paid for my own bribery
With just a shabby doll
(chorus)
Hes the tired toy that everyone enjoyed
He wants to be a fancy man but hes nothing but a nancy boy
Hes all pride and no joy
And being what you might call a whore
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Untie the gag the cats out of the bag
But wont show his claws
Hes just a shabby doll
She said you must be joking
Some things are left unspoken
Youre just a shabby doll
Hes lying limp and soaking
He was openly broken
By just a shabby doll
(chorus)

Tear Off Your Own Head (It's A Doll Revolution)

Who dries your eyes when you cry real tears?
Who knows or cares what imitation is?
Only you do
You can paint his nails
Make him wear high heels
Why waste time altering the hemline?
Or do you?
Tear of your own head
Tear of your own head
It's a doll revolution
You can bat your lashes
You can cut your strings
Pull out his hair with your moveable fingers
It looks so real
But one won't do, so collect the set
Dress him in pink ribbons
Put him in a kitchenette
How does this feel?
Tear of your own head
Tear of your own head
It's a doll revolution
What's that sound?
It'll turn you around
It's a doll revolution
They're taking over
And they're tearing it down
It's a doll revolution
You can pull and pinch him
'Til he cries and squeals
You can twist his body
'Til it faces backwards
Plastic features
Could make somebody a pretty little wife
But don't let anybody tell you
How to live your life
Broken pieces
Tear off your own head
Tear off your own head
It's a doll revolution
Tear off your own head
Tear off your own head
It's a doll revolution
What's that sound?
It'll turn you around
It's a doll revolution
They're taking over
And they're tearing it down
It's a doll revolution
It's a doll revolution
Revolution (revolution)
Tear off your own head
Tear off your own head (revolution)
Tear off your own head
Tear off your own head

The Small Little Rag Doll

The small little rag doll
Made with love
Each stitch sown
By tender loving hands
Places under the tree
Wrapped in Xmas cheer
The little rag doll
A waits to be held
Small young hands
Rips wrappers apart
And smile with delight
At the little rag doll
The gingham dress
The Goldie lock hair
And sown on smile
Make a small child gasp
At a beautiful sight
Loving she holds
The little rag doll
And makes her a bed
In her make believe world
Her mother look’s on
With pride and Joy
That her little baby girl
Loves her little rag doll.
