Universe Child

Universe Child
Mothers womb, out I dropp out
Cold and shivering, is the earth
I’m a free soul
Grown amidst bearded elders
Dreams like sun make day
Time like sand has passed by
Make bearded, I can’t play
All like a day, a moment.
Dreams not like stars in a night.
I pinch my skin
I have grey hair, ecclesiastical
Universe child, bearded.

The eyes of Love!

I see you standing there.
My mind goes into autopilot judgement mode.
Unaware of your past. I judge your future.
Forgive me bearded man with the sad, sad eyes.

I am no different from you.
A Life full of hopes and dreams.
Mistakes and falls.
My heart today breaks for you.
the lost dreams and visions that danced in your head when you were a wee child?

They still burn!
Teach me to understand.
I will not hold your hand as you walk this path.
But I will reach down and try to lift you up.
Oh bearded man with the sad, sad eyes. I almost missed you.
For I am looking into the eyes of my father.

How the Revolution Started

The bearded amoeba
Quietly smoked his pipe.
The servant came in
And said:
The crocodile is ready
But the president cannot make today
The apple pie.

The bearded amoeba
Quietly smoked his pipe.
Yes, the dentist is in Venice
To make the root canal,
The servant said.
The crocodile was looking
At the sky.

Then suddenly
An angry cat
Began to puff and pant.

An orchestra was playing
In a distant café.

The bearded amoeba
Quietly smoked his pipe.
It is time to start the revolution
Mao said,
Rising from a chair.

A portrait of Lenin
Began to shine
On the wall.

Before The War

(m&l - deris)
Come take a look up to the constelations
Take the book of God you will find your relations
If you understand you will know the solution
Things will fall back to the new constituction
Im a son of a distant future
Im the last of the seven troopers
And I came here for the 7th war
Im a child of the stars
The blaster os the gods
And I have seen it all before
Before the war
Cold- hearted earth
Im the master of the universe
And I have seen it all before
Before the war
Nature sets a limit to
Your millenary
Turning every place into
A cruel mean scenary
All will get a chance to shun
The holy fire
But you will be few getting
Under the wire
Im a son of a distant future
Im the last of the seven troopers
And I came here for
The 7th war
Im a child of the stars
The blaster os the gods
And I have seen it all before
Before the war
Cold- hearted earth
Im the master of the universe
And I have seen it all before
Before the war
Mind the 7th war- mind the 7th war
Yes I came here for the 7th war
Im a child of the stars
The blaster os the gods
And I have seen it all before
Before the war
Cold- hearted earth
Im the master of the universe
And I have seen it all before
Before the war

Children Of The Heart

Have you ever left?
Your childhood alone
Have you ever let?
Your childhood dreams go

I've never really known
The joys a child should know
I've never really seen
What it's like to just being a child

But in each of us there lies
A child breaking to be free
To learn life's mysteries
In child like dream

To run with friends and family
Free just like a breeze
To play in the fields
Of a childhood memory's

What is it really like?
To be a warrior of old
What is it really like?
To be innocent in ones life
What is it really like?
To be a hero in a child's dream

I sigh and often dream
What it would be like to be free
Free of all your burdens
In a child's innocent world
Of dreams

Can you explain to me?
What the mystery a child hold's
Why do we crave
Our childhood of old

I smile and think often
Deep inside my soul
There will always be a child
Bursting forth to be free
Just wanting to let go

There will always be a child
Wanting all their dreams
To fly into a world of fantasy's
And just being free

Smiling softly to myself
I close my eyes and dream
Of when I was a little girl
Reliving all my dreams

North Wind

I love you, malcontent
Male wind -
Shaking the pollen from a flower
Or hurling the sea backward from the grinning sand.

Blow on and over my dreams…
Scatter my sick dreams…
Throw your lusty arms about me…
Envelop all my hot body…
Carry me to pine forests -
Great, rough-bearded forests…
Bring me to stark plains and steppes…
I would have the North to-night -
The cold, enduring North.

And if we should meet the Snow,
Whirling in spirals,
And he should blind my eyes…
Ally, you will defend me -
You will hold me close,
Blowing on my eyelids.

A Mother

How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is conceived nine months in the womb
the child that is cradled at daytime,
night time until dawn?
How can a mother forget her child?

How can a mother forget her child
the child who after the flow of months
has learned to stand and run?
How can a mother forget her child,
the child whose mouth imitates her mother`s tongue,
the child who after a year or two can say,
'Mama, I love you'?

How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is so dear in her own heart and mind,
the child that reveals the mystery of creation,
the beauty of growth and human interaction.
the infinity of our own universe
within its finite linear time?

Song: Child's Play

Are accidents - reflections,
Of the chaotic quantum world;
Do the stars that rule the heavens,
Raise cosmic flags, unfurled?

Is love a constellation,
In the vacuum pack of cold;
A joyous distillation,
A yeast alive in mould?

It's child's play. It is child's play.
It has no creed but come what may.
We write the screed, it's all display:
On bended knee, for luck we pray.

It's child's play. A wild child's play.
We take no heed, but remain unswayed.
It's child's play. It is child's play.
When we learn that greed, is here to stay.

Is the background irradiation,
More a subset of decay;
Not dog-eat-dog predation,
But chance as child's play?

So that's OK. That's what we say.
When the meme of hate, sells well, it pays!
It's child's play. It is child's play,
When our dreams deflate, in a listless haze.

So that's OK. That's what we say.
We lean on fate, like a brand new day.
It's child's play. It is child's play,
When we learn too late, what's been swept away!

Look To Your Dream

To say I'm romantic would be quite semantically true
But make-believe passion has fallen from fashion's milieu
It's undestandable why we're a little confused
It's asking for trouble just watching the six o'clock news
But for a moment, all things aside, look to yourself somewhere inside
Look yo your dreams
Don't they still seem worthwhile?
Don't they still seem in style?
Aren't you glad they're still there?
Look to your dreams
There's a need for them now
When the world has us down
Aren't you glad they're around?
Once conceived, once believed fantasy's reality's childhood
And like a seed, visions need constant care like a child would, we should
(*) Look yo your dreams
We can still make the stars
We can still break the bars
We have built here on earth
(**) Look to your dreams
And tomorrow may be better for you and me
The future may say
Blame blind yesterday for taking dreams away
They could mean more than they seem
And like a seed, visions need constant care like a child would, we should
Repeat (*)
Repeat (**)

The Marsh

i know how the marshes smell,
used to have the smell of fish and mud
untouched by the body of a boat,
a wooden boat
definitely without the noise of the machine
and the gun
and the bearded men that carry the guns
less the children
and their mothers who have never come
and stayed an inch deep in the water
i have gone there once
i was a virgin, a fresh mind like the lily
of the marsh
i was the pure air of the lilies, i breathe
and they breathe with me
until i become like some of the bearded men
who come with the noise of the machine
and the guns
i do not like the smell of the marshes now
there are dead bodies of children and women
and unaccounted men
rotten, time and the waters finally buried them
less the usual ritual
of good men.

Voices Of The Night : The Reaper And The Flowers

There is a Reaper whose name is Death,
And, with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearded grain at a breath,
And the flowers that grow between.

'Shall I have nought that is fair?' saith he;
'Have nought but the bearded grain?
Though the breath of these flowers is sweet to me,
I will give them all back again.'

He gazed at the flowers with tearful eyes,
He kissed their drooping leaves;
It was for the Lord of Paradise
He bound them in his sheaves.

'My Lord has need of these flowerets gay,'
The Reaper said, and smiled;
'Dear tokens of the earth are they,
Where he was once a child.

'They shall all bloom in fields of light,
Transplanted by my care,
And saints, upon their garments white,
These sacred blossoms wear.'

And the mother gave, in tears and pain,
The flowers she most did love;
She knew she should find them all again
In the fields of light above.

O, not in cruelty, not in wrath,
The Reaper came that day;
'Twas an angel visited the green earth,
And took the flowers away.

Ask 15: Retreat Within

Retreat within. Drift out into inner space.
At peace with your face leave your mask upon the shelf.
Take a deep breath. Take another look at yourself.
Tell me what do you see when your looking through me.
The looking glass it tells no tales.

Always one more time, one more time to see it through.
Another way to blue and back again to catch you
When your falling, to reach you when your calling out my name.
What is it that beckons me towards your form?
Is it madness? Sanity would be as shelter from the storm.

You with flowers in your hair,
dancing as you just don’t care
The universe is yours in one
But ask for all you’ll receive none.

The universe will conspire for you,
Help to make your dreams come true.
Dream a dream for daybreak,
If we can make it there we make it anywhere.
Sit back, laugh, relax without a care in the world.
Run your fingers through my hair,
These memories of you, their always there,
Etchings upon my soul. Is it you that makes me whole?
Turn the page, let the story unfold.

Wall Of Death

Richard Thompson)
Let me ride on the wall of death one more time
Let me ride on the wall of death one more time
You can waste your time on the other rides
but this is the nearest to being alive
Let me take my chances on the Wall of Death
You can go with the crazy people in the crooked house
You can fly away on the rocket or spin in the mouse
The tunnel of love might amuse you
And Noah's Ark might confuse you but
Let me take my chances on the Wall of Death
On the Wall of Death
All the World is far from me
On the Wall of Death
It's the nearest to being free
Well you're going nowhere when you ride on the carousel
And maybe you're strong, but what's the use of ringing a bell
The switchback will make you crazy
Beware of the bearded lady
Oh let me take my chances on the Wall of Death
You are going nowhere when you ride on the carousel
And maybe you're strong, but what's the use of ringing a bell
The switchback will make you crazy
Beware of the bearded lady
Let me take my chances
Let me take my chances
Let me take my chances

The Eyes of a Child

When I was young
so very small
the world was a huge place of wonder
it was a vast universe of endless possibility
then I grew old, so very tired
and I knew what it was all about
the love ran cold
the heart not so bold
the limits began to show their ugly heads
the eyes of the child still remain
I still look at the world the same
even with jaded glasses
Are you still a child
with dreams run wild
or have you given up on all?
Summon your will,
the child remains with you still
and as we know
a child will lead us.

And the Child Draws a World

the teacher asks the child to draw
The world
& the universe

And the child with his Mongol pencil
put a dot
for a start on his clean white bondpaper

(& as his fingers are clumsy
His hands still shaky)

he makes a stretch of a crooked
line

Stretching
& occupying almost all the space of the paper
To make a
Crooked circle

His world

And for his universe
He draws five little stars
crude
A crescent moon A comet moving In a blank space

A space rocket
Is drawn
On the top page in propulsion

A crooked circle The lines hardly meet At a common point
For a world

A little blank space For the universe

And where is God there?
The teacher asks him

You gave no instruction, sir. The child answered.

But He is there, the Child thinks.

When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in. It’s like asking directions to the edge of the earth; The Earth is a sphere; it doesn’t have an edge; so looking for it is a futile exercise. We are each free to believe what we want, and it’s my view that the simplest explanation is there is no god. No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful.

Stars, Stripes and Paper Dolls

Stars, stripes and paper dolls
Sometimes most prominent inside
My troubled mind,
That sordid spirit had
Locked the door to humanity-
I was none but a child-
Too many dreams
Snakes at my bedside-
My delusional world
Alive last night,
This morning and at
Noon, every night-
Walking the tightrope day by day
Some child lashing out at me, spit in my face-
None but a child myself-it frightened me-
I became a prisoner inside the world of my dreams-
Locked inside with a platinum key-
Fell one day down the elevator slats-
Closed the door on humanity, I did-
Stars, stripes and paper dolls-
Each had a name-
Intruders from a different galaxy, or perhaps
Some other universe-
I never saw that child again- I had shut the whole world out-
A snake wrapped about my mother’s severed hand-
It hardly mattered; she was close by, protecting me-
Locked inside a world I had
Fabricated for my self alone-
Sitting cross legged on the carpet, staring at the ceiling-
They threatened to take me away last night-
Today, tomorrow, noon and at night-
Stars, stripes and paper dolls-
I played as a child of fourteen-
It didn’t matter- they knew the truth, but I didn’t, so
I cried no tears- I hear rain falling outside my window-
My door is unlocked momentarily-
I ride my proud stallion into the night-
Losing insight and finding my dreams-
Stars, stripes and paper dolls- always there for me-
Today, tomorrow and at night- and
I never found the key.

Hideaway

i dream back of the past, where the womb i stay, is nothing
but a place where i can be in a day.......

moving out is not but a dream that everybody is busy, looking
something that everybody couldn't see......

my thought is humble to think that, in the shelves i use to play is
but a womb's mother i usually think that it is easy to be free....

i always ask even if it takes lust, all the memory is gone, only
the bad things is fun....

all it seems, it is fine and everything is with me, knowing i made
it for that day, wandering for every joy would leads me to make
me happy.....

i have stand on my own, i know where i go, believing that i am a
little god, great as it could be, never i hold to the womb iam
fold.....

innocent as a child, all day long i wait to the mother breast i suck,
to the milk iam glad, leaving behind the pain i my hands

let the hideaway may come in my dreams i stand, may you always be
in my mother womb i stay..... for only in my mother's womb.... i
could be free

The Dreams

Spare a little candle
Save some light for me
Figures up ahead
Moving in the trees
White skin in linen
Perfume on my wrist
And the full moon that hangs over
These dreams in the mist
Darkness on the edge
Shadows where I stand
I search for the time
On a watch with no hands
I want to see you clearly
Come closer than this
But all I remember
Are the dreams in the mist
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
Is it cloak n dagger
Could it be spring or fall
I walk without a cut
Through a stained glass wall
Weaker in my eyesight
The candle in my grip
And words that have no form
Are falling from my lips
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
There's something out there
I can't resist
I need to hide away from the pain
There's something out there
I can't resist
The sweetest song is silence
That I've ever heard
Funny how your feet
In dreams never touch the earth
In a wood full of princes
Freedom is a kiss
But the prince hides his face
From dreams in the mist
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
