What's Ours
Every day is ours
Every face in the crowd - ours
Every morning we wake
Every breakfast we eat
Every breath we take
Ours
Every dollar we give to those in need
Ours
All that is right and good
Ours
Our life
Ours
Our Salvation
Ours
But death is also ours
Every tearful eye is ours
Everyone we hurt is ours
Every act of hate
And greed
And wickedness
Ours
So must carry what is ours
And must let go of all that spites us
For what's ours
Is our burden
As well as our wings

Carry You
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
If I can walk on water
And calm a restless sea
I've done a thousand things you've never done
And I'm weary watchin'
While you struggle on your own
Call my name, I'll come
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
I give vision to the blind
And I can raise the dead
I've seen the darker side of Hell
And I returned
And I see these sleepless nights
And I count every tear you cry
I know some lessons hurt to learn
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
I will carry you, my child
I see these sleepless nights
And I count every tear you cry
And call my name, I'll come runnin'
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
I will carry you, my child, my child
I will carry you

Burden To Carry
Every man has a burden to carry
And some seem to carry it very well
While others complain, about the burden and strain
And as their fall from grace to all they must tell.
They will blame all others for the life they live
And then brag and lie for pity and shame
They will tell themselves to halt, that it was never their fault
So they figure their loss will also be their gain.
Every man has a burden to carry
And some need to carry that burden alone
As they don't seek help, from no one but themselves
And only GOD will feel their pain or hear them moan.
The burden they have is their right of passage
As they walk through life to become a man
Every step that they take, another worry they will forsake
And truly that a vigilante only he should understand.
Every man has a burden to carry
And so many carry it with a vigor and pride
As they head down the road, with their own life's load
While keeping a happiness and love and joy deep inside.
They live the life that was presented to them
And never once do they complain or quit
They take life in it's stride, they throw their chest forward in pride
And what they lost or will loose, they will never miss.
Every man has a burden to carry
And to see it just look upon a mans face
He will either be wearing a smile, like holding a child
Or else you'll see pain and sorrow and even disgrace.
Just walk in his footsteps at least one time
Take his journey as he run's or walks or even tarries
Then you will feel the weight, that man can't escape
As every man has a burden, that he must carry.

Having-Less-Is-More
Money isn't 'everything' you know?
'Ooooohhh mon ami,
Big dummy you!
YOUR money may not be 'everything'.
Or not nearly what it use to be.
However...
SOMEWHERE someone is spending it,
Caring less about your limitation.
Or who has good or bad or indifferent credit.
And they have yet to accept greed as a motive,
To live a happy life! '
I am not referring to foreigners,
I am talking about us...
Living today in 'this' country.
'Oh?
I see.
So you've already adopted,
That 'Having-Less-Is-More' attitude?
Good for you.
You make me proud.
But as for me...
Give me a ten dollar bill anytime.
Even a five dollar bill,
Seems less than a dollar these days.'

Now I lay me down to sleep
Now I lay me down to sleep.
Hopefully I will not wake.
I give my body and soul the lord to keep.
For it is my life I wish to take.
I cannot live in a land of fake.
There is no other way left.
Just the face of death.
Through the open door I must go.
I just cannot stay.
In to death I must sway.
Now my life I'm about to take.
No matter how hard it should be.
Now I lay me down to sleep.
In the morning light I shall not wake.
Now Im free once again.
My life I have now slain

What I Hate
I hate that when I cry my eyes burn so bad
Because they aren’t used to the release
I hate that when my mom talks to me,
She acts as if we are best friends
I hate that my dad blames me for all my moms’ mistakes
I hate how my dad turns my brothers against me
I hate how when I try to help
It’s like fighting with god…
You get no where…
I hate when I want to be angry
It’s not allowed
I hate when I’m hurt I hide it
It’s like I don’t want to be heard
I hate how I feel pain makes me weak
I hate how fear brings me to my knees
I hate how I’ll never be good enough in my own eyes
I hate how I know that I’ve been lied to most of my life
I hate being right when no one believes me…
I might as well be wrong
I hate how I give up when I feel alone
I hate that when I’m tired sleep does me no good
And what I hate most of all …
Is how I never do what I should.

Hate
I hate me
I hate u for loving me
I hate that I need u
I hate that you love me
I hate that I can't close u out
I hate that u trust me
I hate that I hurt u
I hate that u cry
I hate that I can't help u
I hate that u try to help me
I hate that I will leave u the fist chance I get
I hate that u won't understand
I hate that u won't give up on me
I hate that I can't give in to u
I hate that u won't let me go
I hate that I will never be the friend u deserve
I hate that u can't see that
I hate that I'm going to die
I hate most of all that it's going to kill u

Don’t Say Hate Easily
Don’t say hate easily
Because like love we don’t know where it will run
Don’t say hate and give no damn
Because someone will hurt and it’ll become burden
Don’t say hate because a must
Your heart will frozen and lost the way
Don’t say hate because pride
The unseen wall will grow thicker to separate
Don’t say hate in anger
Because you have blinded your own eyes from the truth
Don’t say hate in misunderstanding
Because something precious will disappear before you realize
Don’t say hate to the people that makes your heart boils
But to the act you believe to be wrong
Don’t say hate to something you don’t know
You’ll never learn how stop the hate if you don’t want to understand

Hate Who Hate
I hate those who hate,
I hate myself for not knowing what to hate,
I hate life,
I hate love,
I hate not knowing of my upcoming strife
I hate not know of my oncoming love,
I hate those who hate,
I hate myself
I'd stop to hate for gold of my weight,
I hate all those with wealth,
I hate those who harm,
I hate those who hurt,
I hate those who use their charm,
To put others in the dirt,
I hate living as I ache,
I hate living in earth wake,
I hate people who hate,
I being the one who must be to forsake
Those who hate, must hate me
Because of thou hate I hate thee,
The point i must make,
Leaving myself without this weight
Is that I love to hate,
And all love hate when you hate what they hate.

Wasting My Hate
Ain't gonna waste my hate
Ain't gonna waste my hate on you
I think I'll keep it for myself
Ain't gonna kill no more
Ain't got the time to help you score
I think it's time you pleased yourself
Yourself
Good day how 'ya doing
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste
Waste your breath
Now I will waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you
You think your worthy now
You think enough to even raise the brow
And to life that tip that you belong
When I see my hate I see my feet
I feel that blood that pumps in me
Where the hell's my mind
Don't know
Don't know now
Good day how 'ya doing
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste
Waste your breath
Now I will waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you
Then I'll keep it for myself
Hey
Ain't gonna waste my hate
But I don't clean it when they say
Better to give then to recieve
Ain't gonna waste my hate
Ain't got time to waste my hate on you
I think I'll keep it all for myself
For myself
Good day how 'ya doing
And I send a smile to you
Don't waste
Waste your breath
Now I will waste my hate on you
Waste my hate on you
Think I'll keep it for myself
Yeah
Hate

You Made Life Good Again
I'm always looking for a minute that we can steal
Cause i need more of how you make me feel
I used to be the king of wasted time
Cause it made no difference till i made you mine
Now i wake up in the morning with a smile on my face
Can't get enough of the human race
Ain't loved like this since i can't remember when
Baby you made life good again oh yeah darlin you made life good again
I like the way you talk and the way you look when it comes to loving you wrote the book

Breakfast In Bed
Woke up this morning, rain coming down
Washing the sin from the street
Sometimes I feel like Im losing ground
Just trying to make ends meet
Well I work every day to sweat out my dreams
Wont you show me that you understand
Its only my life, whatever that means
And youve got it all in your hands
I need someone to pull me through
Wont you take the pain from my head
Give me all your loving, the way you always do
Give me breakfast in bed
I feel like the good days are numbered
And my nights are getting too long
My hopes and my fears take their toll on the years
And my willpowers almost gone
Well its a time full of trouble
A time of desperate need
Sometimes life dont make sense
Fighting the anger, jealousy and greed
One day Ill look back and wonder where it all went
I need someone to pull me through
Wont you take the pain from my head
Give me all your loving, the way you always do
Give me breakfast in bed
It dont take much to please me
Im just a simple man
Wont you please believe me
I gotta tell you
It dont take much - a tender touch
So baby do the best that you can

Morning Morgantown
When morning comes to morgantown
The merchants roll their awnings down
The milktrucks make their morning rounds
In morning, morgantown
Well rise up early, with the sun
To ride the bus while everyone is yawning
And the day is young
In morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Well find a table in the shade
And sip our tea and lemonade
And watch the morning on parade
In morning, morgantown
Ladies in their rainbow fashions
Colored stop and go lights flashing
Well wink at total strangers passing in
Morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Id like to buy you everything
A wooden bird with painted wings
A window full of colored rings
In morning, morgantown.
But the only thing I have to give
To make you smile, to win you with
Are all the mornings still to live
In morning, morgantown

Greed is Good
“Greed is good! ” they say
Some say “Greed is great! ”
Will they say that when the masses
Are bashing down their gate?
Will they still pray to their god ‘Greed’
When they find that it’s too late?
All the starving children
They don’t think greed is good
They would rather have each day
A sufficiency of food
All the freezing homeless
How great is greed to those?
A bit of tin to shelter in
Would please them (I suppose)
What good is greed to anyone
When it is served with hate?
I’d rather have a shred of humanity
Sitting on my plate

I hate you for doing this to me
I hate you for hurting me
I hate you
but I don't want to
I hate myself
I don't know why
I hate this world I'm in it so cruel
I hate the person I am or was
I hate the things I have done
I hate my past
I hate the fact that I did good
I hate you for not believing in me
I hate you for judging me
I hate myself for not believing in myself
For putting myself down for underestimating my power
I hate the fact that I'm gifted
I hate being good sometimes
Cause I feel like I'm wasting my time
But wait!
Why must I hate?
I don't want to hate
I want to forgive and forget
It takes a 24-7 employee to hate
And I can't do that
It's just a burden not worthy of carrying

But It Didn't Work Out
I hate the way you make me feel
I hate the way I cry
I hate the way I go to bed
And in my dreams I die
I hate the way you're always there
But never there for me
I hate the way you look at me
But never seem to see
I hate the way you use me
And I hate the way you smile
I hate how you abuse me
And I'm silent all the while
I hate the way I let you in
I hate that you are tall
I hate the way you put me down
And make my life seem small
I hate it when you're honest
And I hate it when you lie
I hate the way I'm leaving
And I'm not saying good bye
But you don't really need me
Half as much as I need you
So I'll tear you from my heart
So you can't say you hurt me too

On The Wall
On the wall hangs a face, not a face of love or hate.
Not a face of expectancy hope or curiosity.
Not a face of hurt, sadness or anger.
Not a face of colour, shadows or darkness.
Not a face of life or death, but just a face, a hanging face.

The Water Is Wide
The water is wide I cant cross oer
And neither I have wings to fly
Give me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row - my love and i
Now love is gentle love is kind
The sweetest flower when first its new
But love grows cold and waxes cold
And fades away like morning dew
There is a ship she sails the sea
Shes loaded deep as deep as can be
But not as deep as the love Im in
I know not how I sink or swim
The water is wide I cant cross oer
And neither I have wings to fly
Give me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row - my love and i
And both shall row - my love and i
------------------------------------
The water is wide
Original lyrics
The water is wide. I cannot get oer
And neither have I wings to fly
Give me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row my love and i
I leaned my back up against an oak
I thought it was a trusty tree
But first it swayed and then it broke
And so my false love did unto me
Oh love is handsome and love is kind
And loves a jewel when it is new
But love grows old and waxes cold
And fades away like morning dew
Morning dew
Morning dew
Like morning dew

Several Things I Hate About You
I hate when you call my name
I hate when you send me mail
I hate when you give me rings in the middle of the nights
I hate when you give me precious gifts
I hate when you gaze at me
I hate when you understand me
I hate when I'm in rough times, you support me
I hate when I'm weak, you give me strength
I hate when you tell me that you care about me
I hate when you stand by me
I hate when you hold me
I hate when you spoil me
I hate when you share everything with me
I hate when you draw a smile on my face
I hate when you dry my tears
I hate when you take away all my fears
I hate when I'm sad you make me glad
I hate how deeply I'm in love with you

Hate You.....finally
I hate that for so long you had me so fooled
I hate that I defended you
I hate that I tried for as long as I did
I hate that I ever made you feel good
I hate the time I spent worrying about you
I hate the life I gave up because I loved you
I hate that you let me settle for you
I hate that I didn’t speak up for myself
I hate that I let you believe we were ok
I hate living with so much anger
I hate thinking of you in quiet times
I hate knowing you never really cared
I hate that I can’t pretend that you ever loved me really
I hate that I let you make me feel guilty
I hate that I ever blamed myself
I hate that I loved you when I was young
I hate the way you lie so easily
I hate that you use me to make yourself feel better
I hate that you use me so you don’t have to be alone
I hate that you never considered me first
I hate that you use everyone until they are used up
I hate that you take your kids for granted
I hate that they will love you in spite of that
I hate that I have to watch you hurt them
I hate the way I tell them you’re a good guy
I hate that they are young enough to believe it
I hate that someday they will see you for what you are
I hate that despite all that you won’t change
I hate that I have wasted so much of my life believing in you.
When you ask why I don’t love you anymore…………..I wonder why I ever loved you at all.

In The Words Of Bluesman Jack
From bar to bar
I play my life story
to the crowd
I play for the people
I play for my sanity
I've played
for forty years on the road
with nothing but the blues
I've lived a full life
but a lonely life
The hearts I have taken
The hearts I have broken
It all comes together
in the blues songs of salvation
with the pain and the hate
of a world in despair
From bar to bar
I play my life story
to the crowd
I play them the blues
the blues of salvation
