You Worry? You?

You worry? You?
Nobody cares.
They may make sounds,
give you talk,
sympathy,
a few smiles
within bounds.
None care
beyond the question-answer-sympathy.
Take them while they're there;
there is no empathy.

Of course, others expect it too
- like you;
civilisation sits on that,
alluring but absurd - and much too fat.

The empathy

To give alms is compassion.
To feel for one’s sufferings is sympathy.
To share one’s sufferings is empathy.
What you do to parents is compassion,
What you do to siblings is sympathy.
Your doings to offspring is empathy.
Shows empathy to others to be great.

Empathy And Sympathy.

Love turns to empathy when one sees God in all,
The sharing of the self in life's rise and fall.
Fostered humbleness, blooms the empathy's flower,
And with it God's bliss, spontaneously showers.

While sympathy is Ego’s hubris,
Authority of superiority finds release
Empathy is a cry for other’s suffering,
Sharing oneness with all human beings

Sympathy is worldly and mercy it may trace,
Empathy sees itself in all living face.

Accept my sympathy

In all sincerity
It is a pathetic pity
I merely offer sympathy
With such velocity
This sadness born out of the blue
That decides to levy itself on you

In your fixed stillness
I sense your illness
Accept my sympathy

You lost a pet
Somebody made you upset
Accept my sympathy

You lost a friend
Your broken heart is yet to mend
Accept my sympathy

You were once abused
Possibly at times wrongly accused
Accept my sympathy

You marriage is on the rocks
You got divorced, left without a buck
Accept my sympathy

You lost a fortune
Your voice can't sing a decent tune
Accept my sympathy

You lost in love or lost your job
Or perhaps at one stage got robbed
Accept my sympathy

Your life is a mess
Everything around you depresses

Whatever the circumstances
Accept my sympathy
And if I happen to show no sympathy
Please accept my sympathy!

Sympathy

I don't want nothing
Cause nothing's all you give
I don't need your touch
That could be too much for me
I don't want your lies
Burning deep inside of me
Look into my eyes
I don't want your sympathy

Should've known it was over
Can we still bring back before
As the love is certainly colder
You don't need me any more
Now nothing lasts forever like I said before
I don't want your sympathy no more

I don't want my love
It's been misunderstood
So I think I'm giving up
I can never give it up fair way

I don't want your lies
Burning deep inside of me
Look into my eyes
I don't want your sympathy

I don't want your sympathy
I don't need you here with me
I don't want your sympathy
I can't take it anymore
Because I'm hurt enough before

A Pocketful of Sympathy

A pocketful of sympathy
Is really rather wonderful
To stop a scratch from stinging
Or a bruise from black and bluing

A pocketful of sympathy
Can stop a heart from hurting
Or catch a tear that's falling
Like a raindropp down a cheek

A pocketful of sympathy
Costs absolutely nothing
It's the cheapest kind of plaster
That you'll ever ever find

And a pocketful of sympathy
Is like Lindsay's Magic Pudding
'Cos the more of it you give away
The more you leave behind

It Was Meant To Be

With both of your legs broken in a car smash and in plaster and in agony
And one of your friends even tell you don't worry it was meant to be
For it could be worse you could be in a wheelchair as if you had karma to pay
And you to help out other people have often gone out of your way.

His words to you don't sound consoling and he doesn't give you much sympathy
But if he had to suffer like you do he might not say it was
meant to be
He might not say that things could be far worse and unlike you he might complain
How can you know how one is feeling when you've never been through their pain.

He's not been through the trauma of a car smash and he's never had broken bones
And he's never known the aches of bad injuries the aches that give rise to the groans
You've got to know the pain yourself first before you can give sympathy
And only one who himself has not suffered can say that it was meant to be.

You've gone out of your way to help others and you always do the best you can
And those who know you they tell others that you are a good and kind man
But with both your legs broken in a car smash one of your friends doesn't offer much sympathy
When he says to you things could be far worse and don't worry it was meant to be.

Sympathy

So you've seen the sunrise on the Nile
solved the mystery of the mona lisa's smile
you proclaim your innocence
what you saying
makes no sense to me at all
So you help the needy and the sick
heard confessions of a lunatic
my eyes are growing dim
ghost shadows closing in
around me now
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone
to make me happy
so you've scattered roses at Versailles
wiped a teardrop from an old man's eye
seeing you in such distress
I'm afraid I must confess
that boys don't cry
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone
to make me happy
Solo
and there ain't no sympathy at all
just a sea of angry faces
staring at me
there ain't no sympathy at all
I gotta find someone,
gotta find someone,
gotta find someone

Try to care, improvise concern,
Ad lib empathy, fake sympathy-

Compromise when moving forward.

All your tears no difference make-

I Am Channeling Poe

Once upon a midnight dreary
'I've heard that before.'
I am channeling Poe.

'You don't have to channel po' no 'mo.
I think you have been very successful.
I make a suggestion you channel some dough,
So you can pay me back the money you owe.'

You have no sympathy for artists at all,
Do you?

'Why should I have sympathy,
For somebody channeling po'?
Do you know how many people
Right outside that door,
That have painted that picture too long.
Now...
IF you can channel up some fish and grits,
I'll give you all the sympathy you want.'

Are you here to bug me or what?

'You go right ahead.
Channel up all the 'po' you want.
I aint into it.
I know a few folks,
Who are not painting those kinds of pictures.
You told me earlier
You were home alone writing! '

Until An Appreciation For Integrity Comes

Those today who now cry,
Are the ones who ostracized
The truth sayers who were on their side.
The ones who saw reality as it is...
And now have no empathy to offer.
Or sympathy to give.

To live and be treated with disrespect...
And defend an honesty,
Others too dishonest disceitfully neglect.
Leaves those victimized in isolated bitterness.
Until an appreciation for integrity...
Comes to the rescue,
And interjects a closer inspection.

Thus revealing corruption at its best.
Character assassinations...
Approved by breeders,
Of greed and heartlessness.
Who are then put through a process,
That dissects them with the ultimate test!
Stripping and exposing them,
To be the leaders of denied digressiveness.

Those today who now cry,
Are the ones who ostracized
The truth sayers who were on their side.
The ones who saw reality as it is...
And now have no empathy to offer.
Or sympathy to give.
To those punished for their deeds!

The taste of their cake,
Has been heartbreakingly tarnished.
And supporters who assisted in the baking...
Turn their loyal backs away!

Dont Break This Rhythm

Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
All this momentum keeps stealing through
Across the cornfields, through all the marshland
Theres nothing gonna stop this thing
Clear the trees, burn the brushwood
Bring the diggers in, Im gonna move this earth
Lay the big stones, put down the sleepers
Haul the steel in, I will beat this land
Dont care how but, Im coming through here
Whatever it takes, oh
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Right through these fences, cut through the stone walls
Dig out the tunnels from a solid stone
There she is, but so surrounded
All those fancy men with soft white hands
Come all this distance, that should be me there
Whatever it takes (whatever it takes), oh
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy
Dont break this rhythm, dont break this motion
We work together in sympathy

Sympathy Is Not Given

Some stay stuck in ruts.
Never able to pull themselves up and out.
Holding onto a stubbornness,
And expecting to be forgiven.
Or given the attention...
From those who have chosen to move on.

And this upsets,
The ones who feel neglected.
The ones who expect...
An empathy they wish to receive.
But do not get.
Since a sympathy is not given,
To the ones who self inflict themselves to bleed!

Sugar Daddy

Written by christine mcvie
Well I need a sugar daddy,
He could be my friend,
And if I needed money,
I know he would lend me a hand,
But when it comes to loving,
Hed better leave me alone,
cause Ive got you baby,
And you give me all the love I need,
Yes you give me all the love I need -
And when I get a little hungry
He could give me all I could eat,
And if I needed whiskey,
He could serve it to me neat.
But when it comes to loving,
Hed better leave me alone,
cause Ive got you baby,
And you give me all the love I need,
Yes you give me all the love I need -
All that I want is someone to take care of me,
Im not asking for love,
Just a little sympathy.
And he could pick me up,
In a big fancy car.
Then I could pretend
I was a big movie star.
But when it comes to loving,
Hed better leave me alone,
cause Ive got you baby,
And you give me all the love I need,
Yes you give me all the love I need -
All that I want is someone to take care of me,
Im not asking for love,
Just a little sympathy.
Im not asking for love
Im not asking for love

No Need to Cast Woeful Eyes

No need to cast woeful eyes,
For some to see.
Decisive steps you took and tested!

An investment of regret you get!
While taking a bet...
Against advice given.
Yet disrespected!

And now an empathy you expect?
There is no one left...
With sympathy to offer,
From an unspoken request.
You may be hoping some feel,
And comes next!

Some lessons are better self taught,
Than shared.
Like an experience one may have,
To leave others spared.

No one should be expected,
To protect another from a fate!
Mistakes some make may bring to them heartache.
But those chances you took,
Brought disgust to others.
Those who now care less...
About your expressed unhappiness.

Here...
Take these tissues and dry your issues.
Clear your eyes and rise from your butt!
That is the only suggestion,
To you I can give up!

Like the others you strutted pass with your druthers...
None of us,
Are into pity parties and weep fest that touch!
Celebrate this one by yourself.
Because the rest of us you distrusted...
Have seen that act from you too much!

Darling Mother! - By Kitty Cotton 10 Years Old.

A poem written by my great niece, Kitty Cotton, who is 10 years old, for her Mother on Mother’s Day.

Darling Mother,

You care and love me with all your soul,
You feed me even though I can be a messy pup!
I love you so much,
Your love and sympathy is all I ask for.

But on that special day I’m going to give you
something.
No, not chocolates or flowers,
No, not make-up and bag,
Something more important, something you gave me
and I’m giving back.

It is my love and sympathy.

Love you lots

Tuns of love, your daughter

Over it all

I wonder what is going on,
everyone is screaming because they are spoilt.
I am in massive pain right through me,
No one seems to care or show mw any sympathy.
How can everyone expect me to listen to their bullshit when no one listens to mine.
I know everyone is not perfect and stuff,
but why is it always me who seems to be taking the blame for things I didn't do
so I could go somewhere on the weekend.
I am another Cinderella and my family don't care.
I come on here everyday to new message of people who actually show concern,
that is sad that my family cannot even show that to me.
They worry about themselves and no one else.
The one person that truly cares I barely ever see.
It makes things hard in this world and no one feels the same.
I feel so drained.
This does not seem like a poem because of not many rhymes but I know many more crimes.
Someone please notice me,
I pushed my family a way,
well they pushed me away from them by all that they have done.
They hurt me,
the family fueds I am over.
Maybe someone should shut up and listen to me for a change.

Sympathy

(mark ashton, graham stansfield, david kaffinetti, stephen gould)
Now when you climb into your bed tonight
And when you lock and bolt the door
Just think about those out in the cold and dark
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
And sympathy is what we need my friends
And sympathy is what we need
And sympathy is what we need my friends
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
Now half the world hates the other half
And half the world has all the food
And half the world lies down and quietly starves
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love to go round
And sympathy is what we need my friends
And sympathy is what we need
And sympathy is what we need my friends
cause theres not enough love to go round
No theres not enough love
No theres not enough love to go round

Let's Go

You know it never meant much to me
There's something on your mind that i couldn't see
It didn't hurt me too much to find
You were seeing someone else for all of this time
You know that i don't care
And i'd like you to know that i don't care
I don't need your sympathy
Why don't you ever look at me
You did nothing for me
You did nothing i see
You did nothing for me
You did nothing
There's no today and there's no tomorrow
Where you find sadness i find sorrow
Nobody knows but it always shows
I think i'm losing my mind but that's the way that it goes
And it's fine, all those lies
I can see the truth lies in your eyes
So i guess we are through
You did to me what i did to you
I don't need your sympathy
Cause you don't mean that much to me

For Those of You Who Don't Know Me

I'm the girl who holds this smile,
which is not near the truth,
I'm the girl who sits next to you,
I'm the girl who begs the Lord:
'Free me of thinking it's O.K.
to hide my feelings and emotions.'
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who falls asleep crying,
I'm the girl who's good at 'lying',
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who says she's O.K.
but look in her eyes,
hear her voice,
there's a different story,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who looks happy on the outside,
but if you felt how I feel on the inside,
then...you'd understand,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who listens,
the girl who has sympathy and empathy,
the girl who has her own problems...but would rather hear yours,
I am that girl.
I'm the girl who hurts on the inside,
but smiles on the outside,
so...
remember, when you look at me with a smile,
and I smile back,
know there is something more,
more to that smile,
I am that girl.
There are SO many people who say:
'Oh, she looks so happy! '
So THAT'S why I wrote this poem,
for those of you who don't know me...
