Dolphin Manifesto
now not anymore
the Island that isn't
a loneliness but
Choice without being
There we were sitting and
The Sea was coming and
We (me and you) - a gorgeous staple,
Hooked,
were creating and
we saw him (after years and years) how
he was entering
like a rainbow huge
unattainable and
slow
brown - like a beam
(to hold for it)
nonpoetry - the other one is breakable
when the meaning they wave -
a hand of an insane man before a mirror
nongame - the game is dead
after Joyce and like a child is screaming
for the sandy tower after an adult
(a cynical stone) carelessly and with no reason
forded through
the dolphin is a life vital
and his existence aside of the genesis
and whole in the sea and whole
is reflected
nonliterature - the literature is dead
implicated into shape and ad of
the language but
where is here the Rapture
of the dolphin - glamour
oh forgive me I am entering
a someone else's territory
I am not a ventriloquist too
I do not practice knowledge
there's nothing new here each
new is unnamed
a vital place without a place
in a movement moveable
smooth like blue
fused in a deep bare
white

Coming Home
Punchestown races a glorious extravaganza,
You had a flutter on Fuchsia Belle,
Tall white haired man, softest baby blue eyes,
Everything new and wondrous to you,
Without any fuss you showered your warmth,
Outside the rain lashed down relentlessly,
All together we were like long lost pals,
As you wove your pure spell,
Watching as horses fell, virgin territory
For the farmer with plenty of charm,
Never doing anybody any harm,
A life dedicated to your beloved farm.
Years have passed many changes taking place,
Lover of nature, plenty of patience as you work at your own pace,
Gentleness oozes from your eyes like water over a smooth stone,
You hold my hand, i feel i am coming home.

Dolphin
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart?
How will u know if Im even in the right key
If u make me stop before I start?
Chorus:
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
And Ill come back again as a dolphin
Why does my brother have 2 go hungry
When u told him there was food 4 all?
This is the man that stands next 2 the man
That stands 2 catch u when u fall (oh!)
Chorus
If Im under water, will u find me? (find me {x4})
Will u shine a light and try 2 guide me?
Its happened before, Ive knocked on your door
But u wouldnt let me in
How beautiful do the words have 2 be
Before they conquer every heart? (oh!)
If I came back as a dolphin
Would u listen 2 me then?
Would u let me be your friend?
Would u let me in?
U can cut off all my fins
But 2 your ways I will not bend
Ill die before I let u tell me how 2 swim
Come back in the end as a dolphin (oh)
(Ill come back, baby)
(let me in, let me in) as a dolphin
(be my friend) dolphin
(yeah, yeah)

Behind the Sun
One day while bathing in the sea
my talking dolphin spoke to me
he spoke to me in symphony
from freedom's peace beneath the sea
he looked to me eyes full of love
said yes we live behind the sun
Behind the sun
The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound
Now while I shower in the rain
I watch my dolphin swim away
the one who listens to the surf
can feel the pulse beat of the earth
and like my dolphin swims so free
the sun does swim into the sea
Behind the sun
An island flying through the sky
one day your son might ask you why
and if you son should be a girl
she too might ask you of this world
the sun shines sweet upon your beach
and yes my dolphin loves to teach
Behind the sun
The sun goes up
and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

Digital TV Dolphins
I've never seen a dolphin so cute and crystal clear -
Nor with a greater grin as if from ear-to-ear!
The eyes like magic marbles, the fins like shining shields,
The tail bursting with bubbles... What joy each dolphin yields!
Blue bubbles dance in sapphire seas above the sandy depths,
As scuba divers swim with ease between their bracing breaths!
Thus Man and dolphin co-exist contentedly at play,
Where neither is the egoist true joy decides to stay...
Thus, time permitting, friendship grows, bonding beyond compare,
To blossom like a radiant rose... resplendent and so rare...
The photogenic dolphin... our friend without a doubt!
Into his world he lets us in... and that's what love's about!
Approachable and beautiful, so gracious and sublime...
Each somersault so wonderful, so special, every time!
The world is full of splendour - ask those who watch tv!
Yet what could be more tender than dolphins in the sea! ?

July 4th
On the fourth, July reflected
fireworks green red blue
huge flowers shimmer,
burst, bang crackle
but July did not hear or see.
Dead eyes up-mirror
tiny celebrations, skies flash
over a naked
child, sprawled back
on a warm rooftop
of a new york
tenement tower.
Birthday murdered,
damned fine 4th party.
Clutches a spent sparkler
in a colder hand.

The Demise Of Dolphins
Dolphins are delightful creatures, who I absolutely adore;
I feel sad, when they are washed up dead, along the seashore.
Seeing a dolphin swimming in the wild, must be very exciting,
But the day may come, when a dolphin becomes a rare sighting.
The death of a dolphin, should never ever be in vain;
From each one's demise, a lesson should be gained.
If we can try to discover why each dolphin has died,
Our future actions, that reason, should then guide.
The ocean is fast becoming a thick soup of toxic waste;
A daily problem, which many dolphins, now have to face.
If we continue disposing of our waste in to the ocean,
It will end up as a most poisonous and deadly potion.
Dolphins have such happy faces, and are just so adorable;
That we are needlessly killing them, is just so deplorable.
Through sparkling, clear waters, the dolphins love to zoom;
But where waste has been dumped, there is a murky gloom.
There are times when it does seem really very odd,
When deposited on a beach, is a whole dolphin pod.
That is when we need to stop; when we need to pause,
And do our utmost best to discover the underlying cause.
Such sad scenes, we do not wish to see repeated;
As, soon, the dolphin population will be depleted.
Each link within the food chain is strongly connected;
If a dolphin eats a poisoned fish, it too, will be infected.
Some people may think I'm making way too much fuss,
But life upon this Earth, is far from being just about us.
There are creatures on Earth, which are totally amazing,
And it is their lives which we, as humans, are now erasing.
As humans, we seem to think we have every single right,
And many of us are willing to ignore a creature's plight.
We really need to start thinking more, long before we act;
Dolphins are needlessly dying, and that is an actual fact.

Before Choir One Friday Eve
Before choir practice
before entering
the vestry door
you and Judith
stayed behind
and waited until
the others
had gone inside
and Judith said
look at those stars
and how dark blue
the sky is
you gazed up
at the evening spread
of dark blue
and stars
and moon
to one side
and you put
your hand
around her waist
and drew her close
and she lay
against you
and you said
I read some place
that some
of those distant stars
burned out
centuries ago
and what we see
is the ghostly glow
of dead stars
and she turned your head
towards her
and kissed you
and the pressing
of her lips on yours
and her hands
on your waist
and her 13 year old
breasts pushing
against your
14 year old chest
and the sound
of the choir starting up
in practice in the church
and the flight of bats
across
the evening sky
and she holding you near
and the lips engaged
and the eyes closed
and the breathing
taken in
coming up for air
and behind you
the aging graves
the tombstones
with moss
and half lit
by moonlight
and star's glow
and you held her
in place face to face
with your hands
upon the cheeks
of her behind
eyes still closed
in the land
of the love sucked
blind.

Entering Your Heart
I came in crawling
With an absent-minded smile
I had so many things un-tied that summer night
When I decided it was worth another try
Entering your heart.. ohh yeah
Close your eyes
Dont say a word
All your thoughts must go un-heard
And i......
Have failed so many times....
Entering your mind....
Entering your mind....
Im not the most important one under the sun
I dont have any power connections to the pentagon
But Ive got something of my own, that must get done
Entering you heart
Ohhh... entering your heart
Close your eyes
Dont tell a soul....
All you dreams must be told....
And i.....
Have failed so many times....
Entering you mind....
Entering you mind
Ohhh...
Ohhh...
I......
Have failed so many times....
Entering your mind....
Entering your mind....
Ohhh..... entering you heart
Woah.. entering you heart

Not Mine But Yours...
Nothing grows except the grass.
Nothing leaps into sight except some stone
and what the stone contains and protects.
Here, far from the beach,
far from the place where the water
returns every so often
rusted metal, moldy wood,
the corpse of a dolphin or a turtle.
The wind does not blow with the force
to propel us as far as the promised then.
The minutes that pass become hours
but never days, they become nights
that never agree to be years,
and centuries in which somebody dies
and someone else, who does not know it, yawns.

Salve Mea
How can I change the world if I cant even change myself?
I cannot change the way I am?
I dont know, I dont know.
I take a look at the world behind these eyes,
Every nook, every cranny reorganize,
Realize my face dont fit the way I feel.
Whats real?
I need a mirror to check my face is in place,
Incase of upheaval, fundamental movement below,
Whats really going on I want to know,
But yo, we dont show on the outside, so slide.
Just below my skin Im screaming...
I need a mirror for my spirit,
Yeah, can you feel it?
When I get deep, want to hear myself sleep,
Not drowning, tumbling around and around in the voices
Like a crowd in my head so loud,
I wonder what its like to be dead,
I hope its quiet, noise in my head like a riot,
Any remedy you have for me Ill try it.
Just below my skin Im screaming...
Im going deep, so deep that I cant sleep,
The pills aint cheep but the bills are steep,
So I [? ] with a booze and a spiff,
Try to snooze,
But whos dreaming, this is win or loose,
Put down the drink, try not to think,
Let it go, fundamental movement below,
And yo, reality is dreaming,
Just below my skin Im screaming...

A Piece Of Myself... And For Myself
people in my place worry about me
why i do not worry about next year
the next planting season after this year's bumpy harvest where every room in the house is filled with corn.
people in my place ask me where shall i live after next year
and you should soon inherit the house that i built for 50 years.
they all worry about me with all those particular items like what shall happen
to the glasses in my cabinet
or the white car in my blue garage
or my gold watch and my silver spoons and my china plates
they worry about my gold fish in my aquarium
who shall feed them when i am no longer home
people worry a lot about me
and i begin sometimes when i get tired listening to all the questions
asking: why me? why do you worry all about me?
i am not even dead yet and have no plans retiring from life's works
like the arts and this
pottery and this poetry
people worry about me
and never about us.
i am tired and all i need is sleep.
and i do not worry at all.
because i know that if i am dead
then i am dead
and i do not ask for more
not even on extended dreams
not even on anything
perhaps they worry about me because they all worry about themselves
perhaps i am their mirror
or perhaps they think that with my behavior
i should not have lived
in the first place.

Monkeys
sorry i treated you the way
i did usurping the monkey
in you that dies to jump about,
life once so clearly spelt out
the monkey that caught my heart
years ago with its perpetual winking eyes -
a hundred times a minute
in its curiosity of the world
the money that crafted a net in my heart
sorry that i had nearly suffocated
your monkey and thanks for
shaking me into realisation
i have chained your monkey
blown away its vital K
all these life struggles to jump
a step over the others have
nearly turned us into a creature
carved of stone - a huge black boulder,
so cold and impenetrable
we could look into each other
without getting to the vital core
always overwhelmed by a
chilling towering stone
only the warm lively monkey
would give a life back to us
the only creature i could fall for solace
i would trade with anything
to put back the K in you so that
our life would be fun and warm

Guess
i guess
loneliness is a self-inflicted
catastrophe,
a choice of ruin,
sometimes, a place
of pain
where the mind is trained
for the greatness
of his spirit
loneliness is
sacrifice, a choice to
find a place for the
purification of the soul
this soul that is so strange
amid the market of confluences
of happiness and lust
and insensitivity
it chooses this
loneliness, silenced silence,
silent patience,
patiently coping with the meaning
of one's existence
gauging the limits of the
happy mind
penetrating the wall of
prohibition,
genuflecting on
nothing.

She Loved To Watch Him Play
she never missed a practice
never missed a game
sat there watching
yelling his name
baseball, soccer, basketball too
she was always there
cheering him on
win or lose she didnt care
he was her little boy
he loved to play
she loved to watch him
even far away
for 12 years she was
at every game
always watching
yelling his name
then 1 day
he asked her not to come
he loved her
he would always be her son
he said other parents
never come
and he didnt want to have
the only one
he said he was a grown
man now
doesnt want his mom
around now
she said
ok
i wont embarrass you
that way
a few years later
he walks to the mound
looks at the bleachers
he hears a familiar sound
then he sees her
watching his game
sitting there patiently
yelling his name
he smiles real big
tips his hat
throws the ball
right past the bat
after the game
he runs to the stand
looking at his mom
she waves her hand
he runs past the fence
around the post
then realizes it was
his moms ghost
she never missed a practice
never missed a game
sat there watching
yelling his name

Daughter of a Pretty Age
As the night twists
Unhappily like a knife
Into a vital organ,
All I can do is ask
Where is my daughter
Of a pretty age?
I’m cloaked in despair
And filled with rage.
I wish I could
Hold her hand
And talk in a secret place,
But I remember,
I’m childless
And finishing my course
In infinite loneliness.

Fantastic Place
(HogarthKellyMosleyRotheryTrewavas)
[Islands are mountain-tops]
It's always a struggle
To let somebody go
It's a natural desire
To own your lover, I know
And you can screw a man down
Until he takes to drinking
He'll give you all of his money
You still won't know what he's thinking
Take me to the fantastic place
Keep the rest of my life away
Take me to the fantastic place
Keep the rest of my life away
Take me to the island
I'll watch the rain over your shoulder
The streetlights in the water
The moment outside of real life
I never could dream while I was sleeping
Put your arms around my soul
And take it dancing..
Take me to the fantastic place
Keep the rest of my life away
Take me to the fantastic place
Keep the rest of my life away
Take me to the island
I'll watch the rain over your shoulder
The streetlights on the wet stone
The moment outside of real life
Say you understand me
And I will leave myself completely
Forgive me if I stare
But I can see the island behind your tired, troubled eyes
Take me to the island
I'll tell you all I never told you
The boy I never showed you
More than I gave in my life
Take me by the hand
You'll either kill me or you'll save me
Take me to the island
Show me what might be real life

Dead On Arrival
Dead on arrival
Well thats how they pronounced him
But Im out for survival
Im alive in this town
It took the vital injection
From that sweaty little girl child
She had the blood of conviction
Im alive and hurtin
And they said where did you go
And what did you do
Well whats gonna happen when he gets shot with love
Dead on arrival
They thought that nothing would save me
But I know what could break me
Dead on arrival
You were my death reflected
I love to tiptoe
That brought me into this town
I got a vital injection
And a gun at my head man
From a thrill hit redhead
That brought me into this town
Well where did you go
[+and] what did you do
Walked on out and he gets shot with love
With love, with love yeh
Yeh...
Dead on arrival
Well that aint a prediction
Fact of fiction
Im alive in your town
Dont try to shake me
Dont try to break me
I know what can save me
They take the blood in her town
And they said
Where did you go
And what did you do
Well, whats gonna happen when he gets shot with love
With love, with love

On entering a country, ask what is forbidden, on entering a village, ask what are the customs, on entering a private house, ask what should not be mentioned.
Tremble
(Ode to a True Love Lost)
She kissed me under the lamp post
A kiss so soft that my lips trembled
I felt her being entering my heart
And my soul wrapping itself around her
Wanting to keep for eternity
She looked into my eyes, my body trembled
Life had only one meaning, and it was she
Suddenly I was afraid.
I longed for her to be my destiny
But relationships would have to be sacrificed
And Love cannot be sullied with such things,
And then, she was gone.
We both knew it could never be.
She was the Earth and I was the Moon
Orbiting on the outskirts of her Life,
I was always just a tear away.
The years have past
And still she lies deep within my being.
If there is a God, pray grant this Sinner one last request.
When I take my last breath,
Let my Soul find her again
In a place where time and space have no meaning
And let us be together as one,
And we will welcome eternity together, as one.
