Turning Dawn
Skipping daintily on dew drenched mornings
She wakes up the enigma in sleeping flowers
Purple lilacs and yellow buttercups open
As the sun rises on her delicate morning radiance
She rides the gentle breeze, first kiss of a new day
Touching sleepy minds, their worries brushed off
Nurtured by her soothing glow, the day climbs up again
To the waiting world, jaded from all the nights gone
She is the fragrance of new promises on the horizon
She cleanses little regrets, shaping them around
Breathing her freshness into their porous memories
A day unleashed for new beginnings from old songs
She is our heritage from the sun's own treasure trove
Gracing our mornings, hewing its myriad possibilities
She paints afresh tirelessly though our churn is high
Turning dawn, working magic into the brilliant sun…

These Lazy Mornings, Thi Lovely Self...
there are mornings that are very much like us
lazy, do not want to wake up, light spreads in bed, and fresh air
fills the air and sings in our ears
yet
we cover our eyes, we refuse, we
curl our legs, and bury our eyes on the pillow
these mornings are nameless and they are many
some of these mornings are fruits of those sleeping pills
because some nights are cruel insomniacs that hide from us
the gifts of sleep,
i like to hate mornings like these
and i may hate it till evening
but i have already made a promise to understand all these
stupid mornings and
just be patient and let go off them
i write once, that i may hate everything including these lazy mornings that shy away from light and air
but i must spare this self that
after all i do not really exclusively own.
and so this is it:
i hate this lazy, stupid morning, but i shall never
hate myself:
i am sleepy, i am beautiful, i am lovely and witty after all.
you may sing tonight with me:
this love of self, this greatest love of all.
Do not misinterpret it for arrogance, pride or conceit,
albeit, i must tell you,
this is just a good gadget for moving on
into a sweet and kind survival.

The Magic Of A Sea Of Green
A sea of myriad shades of green
An impute of Mother Nature,
Giving definition to each single tree
Gentle swaying two and fro, as
The gentle breeze rides the waves
Of rustling leaves,
Sunshine paints the shade, a
Stunning panorama for the eye,
The forest, spectacular in its self
A pleasure to see and absorb its fragrance,
Its twitter of its habitants and chorus of insects
Sing the song of life, alive and busy.
As I laze on the grass and close my eyes
The magic vision lulls me into a Sunday sleep.

Morning’s Glory
Dawn breaks the stranglehold
of a sleepy dusky night.
The sun peers above the eastern horizon
as morning begins to break into full glory.
Flowers open their petals wide
to allow the warmth inside;
birds leave their roosts
to wander the sky.
The morning’s glory soars
on delicate golden wings
as the early birds begin to sing.
Morning’s glory looks down on all
awakening with sleepy eyes,
preparing them to go
through a brand new day
that starts with the morning’s glory
and the sun shining bright.

BirdSong Part Two
A gentle trill comes through the breeze
A warbler sings its song
'Tis the Deity's Golden Rhapsody
How could such beauty e'er be wrong?
Gentle feathers plume their pride
In the mornings most dewy glow
A choir of feathered Angels upon the wing
Drown out morose cries of days woe
Our birds are true Aristocrats
Their own melody-a reigning crown
Dressing up a kingdom of bucholic vales
Bringing forth smiles instead of frowns
'Tis a Birdsong World- i am told
'Tis a Birdsong Season- O' Spring
So sorry to eventually see them all go
With the Winter the cold wind brings
Birdsong -Warblers travel deeper south
Seeking they -the warmth O' the Sun
Bringing their Psalms of Godly songs
To deep south climbs- where Spring has just begun

A Soul Comes Into The World
Where the sun rise,
Where the sea kiss the sky,
Where the dawn showing at horizon,
There a soul comes into the world.
Happily flying to the deep blue sky,
Above clouds, dreams or sun,
Joining seagulls in their flight,
Like a trip towards the stars.
Softly touching dewy grass,
Smelling beautiful flowers and their fragrance,
Hearing leaves rustling in the wind,
Admiring an amazing colors play.
A wonderful world invites you in its greatness,
Join us beautiful soul to our world,
A new body for you is waiting,
Let your freedom and come.
Soul metamorphosed into a life,
A child body innocent and fragile,
Ready to be taken into mother arms,
A magic moment happend, the miracle of life.

Waiting For Magic
kiss me baby i'm snowwhite
sleeping in a coffin
waiting for you/waiting for magic
baby i'm snowwhite
sleeping in a coffin
waiting for you/waiting for magic
a man of the world but lost in a dream
you look at something from a different angle
but i exist i'm waiting for you
in a coffin made of glass
kiss me baby i'm attractive
baby get to know me
show who you are
give me that magic
baby i'm eternal
lying in a coffin
waiting for you
in your dream a girl is dancing
close to you (that girl is me)
once a witch made her sleep
but a prince will wake her up it's you
kiss me baby...
in the tale is the place to find her
reach out to get to know her
it means so much to me
the meaning of the book
o kiss me baby wake me up
o kiss me baby wake me up
join in the story of the fairytale
believe the dream you will not fail
o kiss me baby wake me up
kiss me baby...
waiting for magic it's what i do
waiting for magic for me and you to kiss me
baby wake me up
caught in a dream how lucky you are
you can see me i'm the girl behind you
so open your eyes and turn around
and watch me dancing join the fairytales
kiss me baby...
you cannot reach her on the planet
that the scientists want to call the earth
but if you use your imagination
you will see her
you will find her in your dreams
i see now shadows in my dreams
it is something so romantic
i can tell it's for real you'll see

Flowers Know
As the sun rises with its glorious glow,
Flowers awake because they know
They will be guided throughout the day
If they transfix on every ray.
So they smile and leave all beautified
With rainbow colors far and wide.
Their delicate pedals gaze at the sky,
Tracing the sun’s path as it passes by.
With evening’s approach they close their eyes
And patiently await next early rise.
Though their time to wilt is soon from birth,
Flowers know their place on this earth.
Their radiance gives life to a world often void
Of warmth they display since it’s seldom enjoyed.
So get acquainted with their momentary glow.
Appreciate this earth that flowers so well know.

The Morning Sad
Wake up and talk to me
Its a long time since last night
I know we said things, the saddest things
And Im not sure it was wise
When the mornings sad
You dont look back
And you sure dont look ahead
The morning sad
You know, the morning sad
The morning sad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Im writing desperate songs
While youre fast asleep inside
I could try to sing
(I could try to bide my time to wake up)
Until it rings
But my voice comes out uptight
When the mornings sad
You dont relax
Youll be ? ? ? your mind
The morning sad
You know the morning sad
The morning sad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
I tried a little
I tried a lot
Im not a window
And youve seen through everything Ive got
Oh, I dont think that Ill be safe
Until everyones awake
Everybody, everybody, everybody, yeah...
So wake up and talk to me
Such a long time since last night
I know we said things, the maddest things
And Im not sure who was right
When the mornings sad
You wont attack
Cause youre much to weak to bite
The morning sad
You know the morning sad
The morning sad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
Never had it so bad
No...
Never had it so bad
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Never had it so bad

Midsummer Morning
Midsummer rain, you and I together
Im only dreaming again and I will forever it seems
Midsummer dawn, kisses in a doorway
I cant believe they are gone so I live our story in dreams
But baby I always wake up lonely
Mornings dont comfort me
Sometimes I think youre only
A midsummers nights dream
I should have know, friends gave me warning
You had a dream of your own, now our midsummer mornings are through
Follow your star, it will lead you somewhere
Love is not really so far if in dream I can come there to you
But baby I always wake up lonely
Mornings dont comfort me
Sometimes I think youre only
A midsummers nights dream

Remembrance Recreates (Revised)
I imagine early morning light
in softly golden-hues, millions
of baby rainbows in the sun-
light's glow, flowers dampened
with freshest dew just so - and
fragrance of blooms awakening
sweet memories, mornings where
we lived in glorious belief of our
youth that we were life itself -
now we know life briefly graced
our form with energy, we droop
at sunset, yet continue life in our
heads, repeating every joyous
feeling as often as we like, the
mind can never be stopped
remembrance recreates all
Worlds and feelings lost…

At Times I Can Loose Myself In Sadness
At times I can loose myself in sadness
although the sun still rises in the morning,
the stars glow in their myriad at night,
the wind rustles in the great oak trees
as you have left me, have gone to another
and I truly did love you and thought that you
had a place for me somewhere in your heart
and in days and nights like this we were together
and there is some kind of detachment in the loss,
as if the world is much more immense without you
as if I will somewhere, somehow again find you
but you are nowhere and days turn into years
and what we had is gone and totally lost
while memories keeps on lingering.

Beginnings Forever Beginning
Beginnings are offerings to the sky
She welcomes me like a new day
We know a smile is the only way
Please don't be shy
Say what you’re going to say
And mean it
New costumes of tireless myth
The first flowers of spring
Dawn on eagles wings
Grace as pure as robin eggs
Lightening as bold as Thor
Lonely hearts open the door
Eyes touch my soul
Everything seems to grow
Paths as old as starlight
Lovers are ancient nights
The world becomes a warm place
Beginnings in your lovely face
Beginnings forever beginning

Morning Morgantown
When morning comes to morgantown
The merchants roll their awnings down
The milktrucks make their morning rounds
In morning, morgantown
Well rise up early, with the sun
To ride the bus while everyone is yawning
And the day is young
In morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Well find a table in the shade
And sip our tea and lemonade
And watch the morning on parade
In morning, morgantown
Ladies in their rainbow fashions
Colored stop and go lights flashing
Well wink at total strangers passing in
Morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Id like to buy you everything
A wooden bird with painted wings
A window full of colored rings
In morning, morgantown.
But the only thing I have to give
To make you smile, to win you with
Are all the mornings still to live
In morning, morgantown

The Yellow House on Tucker Avenue
Saturday mornings brought promises,
of starting over,
beginning anew.
Trying to make the week over
and re-invent my life,
a life that I wanted with you.
The house sat high against a slope,
far enough away from the road to make it seem inaccessible
Painted a cheerful yellow, the colour
of happiness
And there in the yellow house on Tucker Avenue
I imagined my life with you.
Loving you in rooms filled
with laughter,
days and nights turning into years
In a house painted the colour of sunshine
and happy children that looked like you,
There in that yellow house on Tucker Avenue
I created a life spent with you.
The weekends gave way to reality
And the house sits deserted still
Steadily fading into memory, alone against the sturdy hill.
Abandoned to the fantasy and the careless dreams that I knew,
When I pass by the house that a love built
That yellow house on Tucker Avenue

Fade To Purple
As if Im sitting on purple clouds
Covered in purple shrouds
Singing purple kissed melodies loud
The Purple Master himself would be proud
Gifted, these fragrant purple flowers
Soaking wet, drenched from purple showers
Lifted, high high high atop purple towers
Yet as I walk through purple haze rooms
Filled with purple phased fumes
Im enlightened by the purple tazed blooms
Purple vibes that remove crazed glooms
Hungry I appetize on purple wood blunts
To then feast upon a purple smoke lunch
Break bread, along with the purple grape bunch
Fade To Purple To Get Me Through The Crunch

Coloured Dreams
In coloured dreams
We will chase our tears away.
In crimson and creams
A sunlit bouquet
Sprayed with Heaven's scent.
Lent
By a promise of blue moon.
Where memories are spun
Within a lovers swoon.
As we escape
All wordly themes.
Standing on the cape
Of indigo beams.
In coloured dreams
We will kiss
With the freedom
Of a dove
Flown from deepest abyss.
And our smiles
Will fill the canvas
Of an open sky.
Glittering stars
That will never dry
Or run.
Hanging in the gallery of midnight sun.
In coloured dreams
We will float
Like a concerto
Across a sleeping lake.
On ethereal wings
Of golden opaque.
As a moonbeam sings
For lonely hearts
About to break.
The soothing hues
Of the artist's loving hand.
Yellows and blues
That a summer breeze
Had fanned
Over the ocean.
Where mariners of love
Lay marooned.
That harlequin of rhyme
To heal their wound.
In coloured dreams
We meet in clouds
To harmonise
With distant crowds
Of sunrise
And lost prayers.
Now lit like purple flares.
Into blackest night.
Burning down
To candlelight
Of a far away love.
To look above
And watch
Rainbows dance
Their random lights
Lit by chance,
That spins
With ballerina grace.
As happiness paints the face
Of every tear stained clown.
A fanfare of colours
Reigning crown.
On sunset
Waiting in the frown
Of twilight.
May coloured dreams ignite
In lovers hearts.
Before dawn
Parts with just a sigh.
As promises will fly.

A Unique Melody
The flowers work beautifully, small yellow
ones forming the background for a soft purple
touch, the golden leaves and orange-yellow
explosions on the right, calming my eye
Green bottles a perfect accompaniment to
the little colour symphony being played by
my lovely flowers, the tune soothing, the
sweet piccolo notes in yellow on the left
The noble purple violin, Violetta singing in
La Traviata, the contrabass and wooden
instruments on the right, no deep notes,
no disharmony, helping me concentrate
Looking up terms without anxiety, even got
coffee illegally, happily working on the list
of terms for a construction project, flowers
keeping me company - a unique melody

Dats a Doobee Dah Dum Dum Doo
I appreciate,
High cloud mornings.
When the dawn appears,
On the rise.
I appreciate,
All I see...
The Sun doesn't hide from me.
I appreciate,
Those high cloud mornings.
When the dawn appears on the rise.
I appreciate,
Every season...
I'm allowed to grow.
Up...
And in front of your eyes.
And knowing our love grew too!
Dats a doobee dah dum dum doo.
Dah...
I get that while holding you,
Dah...
Dats a doobee dah dum dum doo.
Dah...
And knowing our love grew too!
I appreciate,
High cloud mornings.
When the dawn appears,
On the rise.
I appreciate,
All I see...
The Sun doesn't hide from me.
Dats a doobee dah dum dum doo.
Dah...
Ah doobee dah dum dum doo.
Oh ooo ahhhh,
Ah doobee dah dum dum doo.
Oh ooo ahhhh,
Ah doobee dah dum dum doo.

The mist
Here in Springs the mist hangs in the mornings
almost like the Cape’s winter rain
that draws a grey cloak over almost every thing.
At sunrise the street lamps glow amber
and here and there a light is on in a house
and I hear a car, hooting goodbye.
When I walk on the grass
the water rises through my shoes
and leaves tracks along the driveway.
Flowers in colours of ruby red,
shades of pink to purple
and pure white are stringed in between the leaves
and as if every thing is fresh and new
water runs like drops of dew
down from the leaves.
The mist closes every thing off,
surrounds things, into an own world
where visibility is at times
just meters far.
Still the missing
that I have of you
is something with a greater intensity,
no sun early in the morning
burns away,
the being away that divides us.
There’s nothing clearing up this missing
but to talk with you,
better still to have you here.

Buttercups
Tiny little buttercups
gloriously yellow and small
growing in abundance
a wondrous sight for all.
They said if I picked one of you
and held you under my chin,
a golden glow would shine
right upon my skin.
I did it as a child
when I would see them grow.
and also as an adult
alone, so no one would know.
Tiny little buttercups
I wait for you each spring.
How do you make that yellow glow
like no other flower can bring?
