Christmas is a coming
And we'll all be getting fatter
But at this time of year
It really doesn't matter
The turkey'll be stuffed
With lovely sausagemeat
The table will be dressed
Looking good and really neat
We'll be making roast potatoes
And also pigs in a blanket
The food will be aplenty
Rather like a banquet
There'll be sprouts on our plate
After which we'll be trumping
We'll stuff our belly way too much
And end up like a dumpling
To finish we'll have afters
Of Christmas pud and custard
By now we'll be feeling stuffed
Our trousers almost busted
After dinner we'll sing carols
Squealing like a crazy cat
We'll pull a Christmas cracker
Then wear a silly hat
We'll tell pathetic jokes
And laugh like cackling hens
We'll be pulling silly faces
Down the camera lens
The beer and wine will flow
The eggnog'll make an appearance
In time we'll start to slur our words
Slowly becoming incoherent
Then off to bed We'll go
To dream a happy dream
When we awake we will have

The Poor Man's Christmas
Mistletoe hang from the ceiling
And somehow it gets me to feeling
That the Season of Christmas is here
A time of enjoyment and cheer.
At Christmas most people feel fine
And generally have a good time
On turkey and pudding they dine
And wash it all down with red wine.
The old man spends Christmas alone
A cold, dreary shack for a home
His sole comfort on Christmas Night
A solitary candle-light.
In Christmas there isn't much cheer
If you haven't the price of a beer
With scarce little money to spend
And no one you can call a friend.
Christmas bring this man no joy
It always seem to pass him by

My Number One Christmas
What I want for Christmas is something you can not see,
It’s the love of a special lady who means the world to me
Waking up on Christmas day with you laying next to me,
This is my ideal Christmas it would seem just like a fantasy
At Christmas time we give presents, eat and drink which is grand,
But the only thing I want is for you to hold my hand
Pulling crackers, telling jokes and family games are fun,
Having you by my side would make this my Christmas number one
Watching telly in the afternoon of repeated films from the past,
Cuddling up to you on the sofa is all that I ask
Waving goodbye to all the family at the end of a long day,
Knowing its now just me and you to tidy up, clean the dishes and put them away
Another Christmas over its now all part of the past,
It’s still my favourite Christmas although long it didn’t last
Turning off the lights and going up to bed
Giggling about the silly things we done and I probably said
As we cuddle up under the covers I watch you drift off to sleep,
I wonder why can’t this moment last for at least a week
As I cuddle up to you and slowly close my eyes,
I think this is my best Christmas ever because it’s with you and that’s something I can’t deny.
