Nostalgia
Pap caterer will always
Imagine the whitish porridge
On sighting the green leaves
A poacher longs for prey
On seeing his weapons
As thunderstorm echos
The husbandman remembers
The fallow soil.
Hunger catalyses the desire
Of the scavenger for birthplace.
Slaves have homes
The distance is far.
I want to see my root again
Where serenity reigns,
Where brotherhood prevails
Where nature smiles perpetually,
Where fresh waters never ceased.
I long to eat from mama's pot
I long to dine under the roof
Where unity prevails.
I want to go back
To the land of peace
Where bias is anathema.
I want to share
The moonlight tales, again.

The Land Of Fairy Tales
In the land of fairy tales
Peace and serenity all prevails
Where no one is selfish or mean
And believes in things unseen
In the land of fairy tales
There blows a forceful gale
That always bring with it
Love, serenity and the friendship kit
In the land of fairy tales
No one seems to fail
neither things are bad
Nor anyone feels sad
It is all because over there
Everyone is nice and dear
Who not only cares for them
But with love others life also hem.

Unplanted Land
Unplanted Land
Things made by man never impressed me, but the fallow land,
where I live, which is going back to nature’s way does impress.
On my walks I see how each plant strive towards the light, one
may say, as man seeks god, but here it is not about being better
or more powerful, it’s just nature. That’s way I see Eifel tower
as a symbol of power, pride and vanity. But in the back of my
mind an unpleasant thought arises: could it be that wars are
a natural cause? Nature’s way of insuring that only the strong
survives? That peace is like fallow land, beautiful but useless?

Desire for truth
Desire for truth
Non-possession
Non-violence
Good for all
And we must bring
Before the table.
A society where
Peace prevails
progress
A society where
Violence prevails
Perishes.
Wolves and goats
Are there to drink
From one and same pool
Be cool
Time is making us
Fool.

The Gunpowder Plot (Let This Be A Lesson)
Your idea's liked by us,
but son, you know too much.
If you won't be a slave,
we'll send you to your grave!
In good versus evil,
evil always prevails!
Because there is no good,
evil always prevails!
Don't let him up on stage;
He'll end our golden age.
The world's not ready yet;
Take him out, he's a threat!
In good versus evil,
evil always prevails!
Because there is no good,
evil always prevails!
The bodies pile up;
everyone knows too much.
The world's not ready yet;
Take them out, they're a threat!
In good versus evil,
evil always prevails!
Because there is no good,
evil always prevails!
The world's not ready yet;
The world's not ready yet!
Let this be a lesson;
Your product's a lemon!

Sonnet: The World has Aplenty
The earth has place for more people to live;
Its trees have wood for more houses to build;
Its soil can generate more food and give;
There isn’t a dearth of good souls for a guild.
The rivers have fresh-water plentiful;
The earth has much reserve of oil and ore;
If peace prevails, earth looks so beautiful;
The rich nations cannot the poor ignore.
The money/ food wastage can millions feed;
Each man must love his neighbor honestly;
The brotherhood of nations is the need;
The human race is one and one must be!
Wake up humans! There is no time to waste;
Let not your greed enslave others in haste!

Blossoms of Bottle-Brush Vavroovahana Patra
Blossoms of Bottle-Brush smile delightfully;
Passers-by enjoy the beauty gaily.
Poets wait a while for enjoyment;
Cosy tiny green leaves adorn the tree;
In tree’s lap tiny birds are free.
Sun beam kisses the leaves and blossoms;
For people’s enjoyment the blossoms bloom.
Mild vernal breeze kisses the tree;
In Nature’s lap she is free.
Smiles in the lap of Nature;
Contents poet’s desire.
A thing of Beauty in joy for ever;
Beauteous is lap of Nature.
Poet derives peace and pleasure;
Is an innocent creature.
Nature is a Brook of Delight;
There reigns the supreme Power, the Almighty.
God’s gift is ever beautiful;
Being inspired, people become dutiful.

Long Ago, Far Away
by Bob Dylan
To preach of peace and brotherhood,
Oh, what might be the cost!
A man he did it long ago
And they hung him on a cross.
Long ago, far away;
These things don't happen
No more, nowadays.
The chains of slaves
They dragged the ground
With heads and hearts hung low.
But it was during Lincoln's time
And it was long ago.
Long ago, far away;
Things like that don't happen
No more, nowadays.
The war guns they went off wild,
The whole world bled its blood.
Men's bodies floated on the edge
Of oceans made of mud.
Long ago, far away;
Those kind of things don't happen
No more, nowadays.
One man had much money,
One man had not enough to eat,
One man lived just like a king,
The other man begged on the street.
Long ago, far away;
These things don't happen
No more, nowadays.
One man died of a knife so sharp,
One man died from the bullet of a gun,
One man died of a broken heart
To see the lynchin' of his son.
Long ago, far away;
Things like that don't happen
No more, nowadays.
Gladiators killed themselves,
It was during the Roman times.
People cheered with bloodshot grins
As eye and minds went blind.
Long ago, far away;
Things like that don't happen
No more, nowadays.
And to talk of peace and brotherhood,
Oh, what might be the cost!
A man he did it long ago
And they hung him on a cross.
Long ago, far away;
Things like that don't happen
No more, nowadays, do they?

Unconscious Walls
From the waters of Washington
Once steeping into States
The flag hoisted on the ship changes
As the waters change.
No mark, No fence, No boundary
Yet unconscious external walling by humans
And walling ever prevails
Between rich and poor
High and low
Fair and dark
Men and women
Caste and creed
Language and culture
Nationality and status
Everything has its distinct colour, shape, taste, norm
And never one homogeneous whole.

Back To An Old Place
it is summer
scorching summer
season creeping,
grasses are wilting
trees are shedding of
their last leaves,
what i see are bones
of trees,
skeletons of
branches,
the dry wind keeps
blowing the leaves
away,
what i have is this
bald surrounding
emptied of their
essence
beyond me are
brown mountains
vultures are
in the skies
eying for
death as prey
i sit upon a rock
the only rock
left here
i have no cover on
my head
i am half naked
i have no one to talk
to,
they have left this
arid place
a long time ago
i am back
i am telling the
sand soil,
i have something
to write and
tell the world
about it
it is summer
in this vast desert
a long time ago
this was ours
and the trees are green
grasses verdant
butterflies flutter
and innocently
land on our
hands.

Snow-acrostic- Quadruplets-nature
ACROSTIC-SNOW
Snow-clad hills invite me
Nowhere else I find peace
Obliterates all my feeling
When embraced in profound cling
ACROSTIC-SNOW-SEA
Sea alone in its vastness
Negates all my distress;
Obvious calmness prevails,
When my hairs get her kiss.
ACROSTIC-SNOW-DESERT
Sand-dun es in a vast desert,
Not a shade, water or heart;
Only loneliness prevails upon
With camel and God to carry on.
ACROSTIC-SNOW-NATURE
Somber soothing nature’s treat
Nothing else can make complete
Overt desires men cherish
With longing love and good wish.

World Poetry Day,2012
Peace is what the world needs fast
Peace is required most
Peace can't come by waging wars
Peace is born through great efforts!
Peace can dwell when love prevails
Peace is the driving force
Peace must last forever to
Keep the world love life firstly
Peace is the priceless wealth much sought
Peace must start from homes
Peace must spread through all nations
And fill hearts and minds of men
Peace is one that brings progress
Peace can bridge differences
Peace is made by dialogues
Peace is the key to world's happiness

Kill The Evil
It’s a beautiful land
It’s a home for many
Many lived with peace
Lived with unity and love
With smiles on each face
Children play with its mud
Farms dance with its soil
Rivers flow on its bed
Flowers glow all around
Nature loves that land
Life is very simple there
Children go to school
Men and Women work
Old ones enjoy life
People lived happily
People pray in church
People pray in mosque
People pray as they wish
It has different beliefs
But all are united
Its unity is questioned
Questioned by an evil
Its name is ‘WAR’
It bombed that land
And killed everything
Destroyed homes of many
Many lived in fear
Many cried in pain
In pain of lost ones
Taken away by evil
Some can’t kick football
Some can’t write proper
Some tears can’t run down
Many got wounded
Wounded by the evil
Schools got bombed
Books got burned
Playground in silent
Kids didn’t grow up
Evil axed even tulips
Farms caught fire
Fruits weren’t picked
Rivers flowed red
Water wasn’t tasted
Evil ruined the nature
Church bells stopped ringing
Mosque no longer stands
Culture no longer rejoiced
Beautiful land is ragged
In the hands of evil
Evil, who’s name is WAR
Its only aim is blood
Blood of many innocent lives
Life is the gift of god
God’s message is peace and love
So let’s spread his message
And kill this evil forever
And free this world forever
Forever from its bloody hands
Into the hands of peace forever

What Is A Slave, Mother
What is a slave, mother?—I heard you say
That word with a sorrowful voice, one day;
And it came again to my thoughts last night,
As I laid awake in the broad moonlight;
Methinks I have heard a story told,
Of some poor men, who are bought and sold,
And driven abroad with stripes to toil,
The live-long day on a stranger's soil;
Is this true mother?
May children as young as I be sold,
And torn away from their mother's hold—
From home—from all they have loved and known,
To dwell in the great wide world alone,
Far, far away in some distant place,
Where they never may see their parents’ face?
Ah! how I should weep to be torn from you!
Tell me, dear mother, can this be true?
Alas, yes, my child.
Does the master love the slave child well,
That he takes away in his house to dwell?
Does he teach him all that he ought to know,
And wipe his tears when they sometimes flow—
And watch beside him in sickness and pain,
Till health comes back to his cheek again—
And kneel each night by his side to pray,
That God will keep him through life's rough way?
Alas, no, my child.
Ah, then must the tales I have heard be true,
Of the cruel things that the masters do;
That the poor slaves often must creep to bed,
On their scatter'd straw, but scantily fed;
Be sometimes loaded with heavy chains;
And flogg'd till their blood the keen lash stains;
While none will care for their bitter cry,
Or soothe their hearts when their grief is high.
It is so, my child.
And is it not, mother, a sinful thing,
The bosoms of others with pain to wring—
To bid them go labour and delve the soil,
And seize the reward of their weary toil—
For men to tear men from their homes away,
And sell them for gold, like a lawful prey!
Oh surely the land where such deeds are done,
Must be a most savage and wicked one!
It is this, my child.

Soldier Of Plenty
God is great, God is good
He guards your neighborhood
Though its generally understood
Not quite the way you would
You try to take the slack
Stay awake and watch his back
But something happens every now and then
And someone breaks into the promised land
Ah boy boy
This world is not your toy
This world is long on hunger
This world is short on joy
A-e-i-o
You speak as if you know
Whats good for everyone
Whats good in what youve done?
Whats good about a world in which
War rages at a fever pitch
And people die for the little things
A little corn, a little beans
Ah boy boy
This world is not your toy
This world is, this world is
Long on hunger
Short on joy
How much longer
You gonna keep the world hungry boy?
You measure peace with guns
Progress in mega-tons
Whos left when the war is won?
Soldier of misfortune--
Soldier of an angry call
Soldier on foreign soil
Im not here to fight your war
I know what youre fighting for
Ah boy boy
This world is not your toy
This world is, this world is
Long on hunger
Short on joy
How much longer
You gonna keep the world hungry boy?

Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us
And the world will live as one

My South Africa
Where the ancestor's spirits lives forever
Saluting Madiba for his endeavour
The dawn of freedom colours the eastern sky
Awake South Africa it's my cry
A nation lazy and lethargic is a slave
A bright future is to save
Unity the hope of our future
Rise my people its time to toil.
Where the Lions roars in the jungles
And the Leopards seek its prey.
The buffaloes laze in the waters
And the rhino guards its territory.
Elephants graze the vast lands
Trumpeting the divine call
See Africa's big five
A land of nature's gift
Where gold and diamonds brings money
A country of milk and honey
Maize relives peoples hunger
Wines evoke joy and laughter
Grow sunflower for our oil
Nature rewards this fertile soil
Blessed you are to till this land
South Africa's wealth will expand
Where dark clouds gather on the horizon
Helped by the winds of change
The hot sun wait's the passer by
The rain brings wanted relive
With running rivers green goes our land
Gifted with all seasons
A land of divine choice
South Africa shall lives for ever
Where the two oceans meet
Embracing the mother city
Table Mountain is elite
Serves a vision very pretty
Many came from east and west
Made history sailing by
Near an island of contest
City of passion and beauty
Where freedom was taken and given
Many sailed the seven seas
Black and white is we
Living with predators and prey
Some stayed to live forever
Made a culture of today
South Africans is one nation
Proud and happy as can be

Beloved’s Home Vavroovahana Patra
The Curvy rural path mingles with the fountain;
The small home of the beloved smiles below the mountain.
Cosy purple sun beam kisses beloved’s Abode of peace;
She smiles as a Fairy of Heaven with Divine Bliss.
Solitude, tranquillity, peace reigns in the lap of Nature;
Beloved smiles with peace to content lover’s desire.
Blossoms of garden bloom delightfully;
Lovely bride attracts lover’s mind enthusiastically.
Flowers of Goldmohur welcomes the lover;
Melodious brook congratulates, contents lover’s desire.
Innocence pervades in the environment of beloved;
She allures lover, makes him glad.
Cuckoo’s melody enthuses the lover;
Derives perpetual peace in the lap of Nature.
Innocent beloved allures as a peerless Beauty;
Lover enchants in a dreamland with delight.
True love takes lovers on right path;
With a little conversation they derive mirth.
Love enhances day by day;
Lovers enjoy lives with gay.
