Last night I saw you decked to meet
The coming of those most reluctant feet:
The little bonnet that you wear

The primrose ribbons that so grace

The dark gown folded back about the throat,

Cursing a sleepless brain that would but scrawl
Your image on the aching wall,

To an unrested and recurrent brain:
To think your body, warm and white,
Lay in his arms all night;
That it was given him to surprise,
With those unhallowed eyes,
The secrets of your beauty, hid from me,

I who adore you, he who finds in you
(Poor child!) a half-forgotten point of view.

The darkness silvers away, the morn doth break,
It leaps in the sky: unrisen lustres slake
The o'ertaken moon. Awake, O heart, awake!

She too that loveth awaketh and hopes for thee:

Yet another night
As I lay awake
Sleepless in desire…
Eyes aching for a
Glimpse of
"me"
In your eyes..
Lips parched
In hunger of
Your mouth.
Arms naked
In want
Of your arms.
Bosom swollen,
Painful against the confines.
This ache, painful..
Yet heady..
Starting at the navel
And spreads
Engulfing everything
Feelful or feeling less of
"me".
Dissolving into a fire
Burning its way
Into caverns
And deep recesses
Of my being.
As the skin burns..
In cold fire
In want of your being.
I still lay awake,
Half scalded,
Half doused,
Drowning in the floods
Of my own passion fluid.
Gasping, gaping
In wait of wanting you
Like the parched brown earth
Gapes in want of the seasons
First monsoon.

Grey Day

When I get home its late at night,
Im black and bloody from my life,
I havent time to clean my hands,
Cuts will only sting me through my dreams.
Its well past midnight as I lie
In a semi-conscious state.
I dream of people fighting me
Without any reason I can see.
In the morning I awake,
My arms my legs my body aches,
The sky outside is wet and grey

Am I Awake?

Am I awake?
What time is it?
When I get through this day,
Can someone tell me how
And how much longer now?
Am I awake?
The coffee's cold,
Did I forget to drink it yet?

My clothes are wet
I dont remember drinking it
When I get throught this part,
Will the next one be the same?
Will i be wondering if I'm awake?
These are the not the clothes

The Dying Queen

"I would meet death awake."

The strength that bore her on for years
Was ebbing fast away,
And o'er the pale and life­p;worn face,
Death's solemn shadows lay.

With tender love and gentle care,
Friends gathered round her bed,
And for her sake each footfall hushed
The echoes of its tread.

They knew the restlessness of death
Through every nerve did creep,
And carefully they tried to lull
The dying Queen to sleep.

In vain she felt Death's icy hand
Her failing heart-strings shake;
And, rousing up, she firmly said,
"I'd meet my God awake."

Awake, I've met the battle's shock,
And born the cares of state;
Nor shall I take your lethean cup,
And slumber at death's gate.

Did I not watch with eyes alert,
The path where foes did tend;
And shall I veil my eyes with sleep,
To meet my God and friend?

Nay, rather from my weary lids,
This heavy slumber shake,
That I may pass the mystic vale,
And meet my God awake.

Narcolepsy

Im on a train, but theres no one at the helm
And theres a demon in my brain
Who starts to overwhelm whelm whelm whelm whelm
And there it goes, my last chance for peace
You lay me down, but I get no release
And I say i, I try to keep awake
I try to swim beneath
I try to keep awake
But i, I can feel this narcolepsy slide
Into another nightmare
And theres a demon in my head who starts to play
A nightmare tape loop of what went wrong yesterday
And I hold my breath till its more than I can take
And I close my eyes and dream that Im awake

Awake to the morning bowl from last night's food;
Like the fling of a stone that puts the stars into flight.
What has the hunter in the hand?
Awake to the games of the Sultans,
Where the morning glory do call for the hunter;

Cos', the hunter's gun is ready for action.

All through the night she keeps you awake.

Her skin so soft as she sleeps in your arms,
Her breath so quiet as you hold her tight,
Her scream of pleasure as you come as one,
Her body on fire as you climb the hill,
Her heart beats fast with rhythm of love,
Her gasps of pleasure as you slip inside,

Mind’s Eye

In the early morning hours,
I go out and sit beneath a tree,
just me, myself and I
listening to the dawn awake
within my mind’s eye.
I hear the blades of grass grow
and the chattering of roosted birds
as they awake to another day.
All the life that begins to stir
as the sun reaches for the sky.
The nighttime hush explodes with sounds
as all living things awake
from their slumber of the night before.
I just sit in silence
as my mind’s eye listens to it all,
the waking of another day
for one and all.
