Not Love Perhaps
This is not Love, perhaps,
Love that lays down its life,
that many waters cannot quench,
nor the floods drown,
But something written in lighter ink,
said in a lower tone, something, perhaps, especially our own.
A need, at times, to be together and talk,
And then the finding we can walk
More firmly through dark narrow places,
And meet more easily nightmare faces;
A need to reach out, sometimes, hand to hand,
And then find Earth less like an alien land;
A need for alliance to defeat
The whisperers at the corner of the street.
A need for inns on roads, islands in seas,
Halts for discoveries to be shared,
Maps checked, notes compared;
A need, at times, of each for each,
Direct as the need of throat and tongue for speech.

Run Wild
Open hearts
Empty spaces
Dusty roads
To distant places
But all the time
When Im alone
I think of you
And how youve grown
Far and wide
Sweet and simple
Jehovah knows
That Ive been sinful
But if jesus comes to take your hand
I wont let go, I wont let go
Im not cruel
And youre not evil
And were not like
All those stupid people
Who cant decide
Which book to read
Unless the paper
Sows deceit
Youre the kind of person
That Ive always wanted to be with
Well youre really cool
And you always say the right things to me
But now Ill tell you something
From my heart beats for you deep inside
But never be a burden
And my love for you will never die, never die, never die, never die, never die
But if jesus comes to take your hand
I wont let go, I wont let go
But if jesus comes to take your hand
I wont let go, I wont let go
Good times around the corner
Good times around the corner
Good times around the corner
I swear its getting warmer

Come Away
(g.bowser/j.jupp)
Published by chappell & co., ltd. - capac
As I walk along the lonely streets
I cant talk to the people that I meet
I see them come, and I see them go
I see them smile, and say hello
Come with me and take my hand
Ooh, fly away to another land, oh yes we will
Come with me and take my hand
Well fly away to another land
Come over here little girl
And Ill show you another world
Where we can be free to do as we want
Live our lives as we please, and say what we like, oh
Come with me and take my hand, ooh
Well fly away to another land
Come with me and take my hand, oh
And fly away to another land
Theres so many things that remain to be done
And no one has thought of a way to begin
So follow me into my life
Come with me and take my hand (and take...)
Fly away to another land (fly away to another land)
Come with me and take my hand (ooh)
Fly away to another land (fly away to another land)
Come with me and take my hand (take my hand)
Fly away to another land (oh yes we will)
Come with me and take my hand (and take my hand, take my hand)
Fly away to another land (yeah)
Come with me and take my hand
Fly away to another land
Come with me and take my hand
Fly away to another land

Back Roads Of My Mind
Your memories fill each waking hour
You face fills each and every thought
Of the times we had together
That surface from the back roads of my mind
I remember the fields of bluebells
Where we used to walk hand in hand
The trees we used to lean upon
While we rested for a while
All these things and more linger for eternity
And you will find them
Written with a special love
On the back road of my mind
They were written with love’s pen
And if you look close into my eyes
You will see them there all the time
Written on the backs roads of my mind
Your memories are anchored there
Never straying away
Resting with love forever
On the back roads of my mind

Talk About The Good Times
(words & music by jerry reed hubbard)
Well I remember when I was as children
The time the people used to treat the neighbor like a fellow man
And all their singin and big prayer meetins
When a man was proud to walk up and shake his neighbors hand
Oh you talk about the good times,
Talk about the good times
Oh if you ever needed help a friend was there
Some good neighbor
Help lift your burden
Mmm, and the simple joys of life a friend would share
Times are harder and the people are changin
Now most folks couldnt tell you who their neighbors are
All their guns are loaded, the front doors are bolted
Aint this ol world takin hate and fear just a little too far
Oh you talk about the good times,
Talk about the good times
I wish I could go back to the days Im speakin of
When a friend would meet you
And a smile would greet you
What this ol world needs now is a little old fashioned love
My granddaddy God rest his soul now
Well we had a big long talk together the day he died
Said son this world is full of hate and venom
An I cant wait to leave this ol place and rest on the other side
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away
Oh you talk about the good times, talk about the good times
Talk about the good times
Im gonna see all the friends I knew in the good ol days
Well have a big hand shakin
An sit and talk together
Sit down by the river jordan and sing our blues away

Think of the Sea
Oh sea, if your tears do not halt in my moments of death
Swallow me whole, in a mild hangover do cry drunk.
The question is sent to your soul:
Why have your deals with death made so loudly and calmly and smoothly?
Answers to my name began from early times,
When islands were missing from the maps,
These days are crazy, just dear to me,
I love the islands that instantly curve the desires
But I was a cast-away and my seas did not listen.
So I shall fall into the sea this time, hope is at hand,
My glory is not gone, the sea has done
Too much to me.

Dark End Of The Street
At the dark end of the street
That's where we'd always meet
Hiding in shadows where we don't belong
Living in darkness to hide our wrong
You and me, at the dark end of the street
You and me
I know that time's gonna take it's toll
We've got to give back all the love that we stole
It's a sin and we know it's wrong
Oh but our love keeps coming on strong
Steal away, to the dark end of the street
They're going to find us
They're going to find us
They're going to find us
Oh someday
You and me, at the dark end of the street
You and me
And if by chance we walk downtown
If you should see me just walk on by
But darling, please don't cry
Tonight we'll meet, at the dark end of the street

Its Over
(jimmie rodgers)
If time were not a moving thing
And I could make it stay
This love we shared
Would always be
Thered be no coming day
No morning light above
To make me realise our love
Is over
And now you walk away from me
And theres no place to put my hand
Except to shade my eyes
Against the sun that comes to warm the land
I watch you walk away somehow
I have to let you go now
Its over
Its too late to tell you how I feel
Our love was real
And yet, there are so many times
That people have to love and then forget
Though there might have been a way
I have to force myself to say
Its over
And so I walk away and turn my collar to the wind
I walk along in silence trying not to think at all
I put my feet before me
Walk the silent street before me
Its over
If time were not a moving thing
And I could make it stay
This love we shared would always be
Thered be no coming day
No morning light above
To make me realise our love
Is over
Its over
Its over
Its over

At times the four walls
At times the four walls
seems to fold in on me
and the places between
the dark and the white,
stretches the tolerance
of any soul.
Yet love and peace
and the grace
and realities of life
tries to destroy
and yet I still stand
and the Almighty
holds my hand.
It’s just the way that life is
and there are places to go
and people to meet
and every day
has the ability
to really be great.

When Our Love Is True (Sonnet Corona)
I
When all things of our love are really true
like it was on every yesterday,
and nothing at all can make it decay,
when the special thing between me and you
do not pass us by as other things do
and on every sunny day by day
we do live, cry, laugh and sometimes play
and by tomorrow you feel this way too
and still love me then just as tenderly
then I am blessed have joys in excess
when you fill me, even when I lie prone,
your loving is more then I can express
and become part, in what I want to be
in a lower hue, a much simpler tone.
II
In a lower hue, a much simpler tone
where we bring smiles to each other’s faces,
this is how we make our love our own,
where we can walk to some different places
and always as allies walk hand in hand
turning defeat to the enemy’s retreat,
making this great earth our own piece of land
as true compatriots on the busy street.
Where at times some similar thoughts and speech
comes to hand without having to compare,
without having to split as each to each,
being one in everything that we share:
you are grounded in me like a new root,
my heart is like a growing, rising shoot.
III
My heart is like a growing, rising shoot
whose tiny boughs grow true and somewhat free,
my heart is like a spreading tiny taproot
that anchors you very deeply to me.
My heart is like a small burning cheroot
that always brings you some sweet tranquillity,
my heart is like a yellow ripened fruit
on your beloved type of small tree.
My heart is like some small fishes that scoot
away to safety in the deepest sea,
where none other big predator can loot
but only you in true serenity
and I really whither in your absence;
of me you are the living essence.
IV
Of me you are the living essence
of everything that is good in me
that I experience with your presence
the joy of life with a heart kind and free
and so very subtle, so very gently
your eyes wander into my humanity
as if suddenly and just presently
you do know each single activity
before I even consciously perceive
any kind of living words and deeds
and from you I always only receive
blessings for all my tiny wants and needs,
every single day you make my heart sing,
you complete me fully in everything.
V
You complete me fully in everything
while you walk and run in my shadow,
your love is my greatest single blessing
and yet you say that love you do not know.
When from all of my life you are gone,
something essential and great is missing
and when I am single, the only one
even every single thought and feeling
is halved separately and it feels
as if my whole presence, my body
from my head right up to my heels
do not belong to me or to anybody
without you my soul is really underfed,
as if the lamp shatters, no light is shed.
VI
As if the lamp shatters, no light is shed,
if the rain falls and the rainbow is gone,
when any music instrument is dead
and you say nothing and there is none
other light, rainbow, music or any words
the look in your eye, your soft sensual touch
still then remains as tiny records
of nearness of deeds of love, to vouch
for the feelings, for the real principles
that binds us so simply unseen together
and like true reverent following disciples
of an immaterial thing we do not bother
with separating, without you I have no peace,
I do not know if love can increase
VII
I do not know if love can increase,
boundless in its integrity to lie
in every small thing between you and I
and our happy feelings never to cease
even when with time our lives decrease
still to be under a blue radiant sky
to cherish what we have, before we die
even if our lives are not lived with ease
I would wish for you to be only with me,
to struggle along in life’s tournament
even if disaster comes out of the blue,
to live your life to your heart’s full content
and I would love you with intensity
when all things of our love are really true.

Back In History
Bringing it in! !
Ten times more;
Eating vegetables,
And of the matter at hand!
But, taking it in will always be guided by the muse of love.
The way of love!
One's speech,
One's language,
One's mind;
And, to go back in history! !
However, it should be used.
Fury, jury, bury, curry, hurry, scurry!
With many faces,
And like etymology;
Beyond! !
But, walk in balance and with beauty;
Coming together and, to get along so far in the land of your muse.

The Old Pair There
The old pair there they seem so very happy and they are two who've never sought renown
Raised on the same street they were childhood sweethearts and they raised their children here in their Hometown
Still so much in love and they in their late sixties they walk in the Town Parkland hand in hand
And others unhappy in their third or fourth marriage us human beings are hard to understand.
How come some can fall in love in their teen years and stay in love for the rest of their life
After all these years she's in love with her husband and after all these years he's in love with his wife
Whilst others go through many wives or husbands and their marriage always seems to end in tears
But they go searching for another partner they've fallen in and out of love for years
And could it be that they've never found their soul mate and unhappiness in love is all they find
They fall in and out of love so very quickly but then again some do say love is blind
But some will stay in love till death will take one and the living one for the dead one will grieve
Suppose they who stay in love for their whole lifetime in each others worth must firmly believe.
They've been in love since they were in their teen years and arm in arm they walk along the street
They are so in love after fifty years of marriage as if last week for the first time they did meet
Whilst others are in their fourth or fifth marriage but their love out of love's feeling seems to run
And then they go off in search of another perhaps it's in the chase they find their fun.

Two Roads
Aint it funny how you never can tell
It always seems to hit you when its going so well
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing
Now its lawyers-at-midnight and the learning begins
Lets take a walk outside in the morning sun
Here aint working out no battles to be won
Oh darling take a look at you and me
We both love our freedom and well always be
Two roads
You can wait a lifetime for the hammer to fall
Some folks get lucky they dont see it at all
We were bound to drift away from the very first day one
Two different journeys and neither was wrong
Lets take a walk outside in the morning sun
Here aint working out no battles to be won
Oh darling take a look at you and me
We both love our freedom and well always be
Two roads
Two different lifetimes we just happened to meet
Traded some good times on the corner of the street
We were no more than strangers attracted to one
And the same sense of freedom but well always be on
Two roads

Sonnet: Your Motherland Needs You!
A foreign land is always alien land,
No matter how much wealth extra, it gives;
Robotic hand is unlike one’s own hand;
One’s love for one’s Motherland always lives!
All foreigners are strangers still to us;
Maybe, they pay a lot compared to here;
One travels not always in an air-bus;
Our minds are filled with thoughts of people dear.
The grass is green wherever it may grow;
When withered, it will turn always yellow;
Remember man, to God a debt you owe;
To your brethren, do always say, ‘hello! ’
Our life on earth is not for just money!
No matter where, bees make purest honey.

The therapists not so hidden treasures
Off you went with my trust
Not about us
Just the job in hand
I was tied, unavoidable deadlines
'Just go, you'll manage fine
(For you, these meetings a foreign land)
Our daughter had trouble with speech
Needed to reach
Out for a helping hand
This speech therapist was fit
Had great tits
Where your eyes couldn't help but land
Did one thing she said remain?
You men, all the same
(Push it down fella, with your hand)
Guess I will wait for written report
Yes to that I'll resort
When on my mat it will land
Good job in you I have trust
I have a great bust!
Here fella, give me your hand!

Just The Wave Of The Hand
Each day we search our memories
for the perfect moments in time
when there were tears of laughter
to see us through some bad times.
We look for those moments,
which were written by loves hand
to transport us back
again to that magical land.
We want to forget about any worrying times
that might lie just ahead,
and think of the pleasures
we had somewhere in the past.
Remember how love once praised us
with everything we have now,
and remember all the good times
and forget about the bad one somehow.
If only we could do it
with just the wave of the hand
and banish away all the sorrows
forever from our beloved land.

Hand In Hand, Come Lets Love...
A dream it was, just a dream-
we were walking together with hand in hand
towards the Sun set where the sky and the earth
seemed to be holding together
you the emotional and impractical was arguing,
that they were destined to be together as we do-
me the practical with rationale was saying,
that for all eternity it can't be true;
we have walked a long way, the Sun has left the horizon
and the moon has taken his place with a gleam,
still we walked together with hand
in hand, into places unknown,
hoping to know, what's there at the end of the ends
and at the farthest of the farthest places-
each one trying to prove the other wrong, but wanna
see it for ourselves, with what's there after all-
blessed by thee, do they get to be together
or are they cursed to not to be
for all the distance we have walked together
and all the places left behind
the sky and the earth still seemed to be holding
together in the end of the ends and in the farthest
of the farthest places; so we were, holding ourselves
together with hand in hand, walking with stride to stride;
love is not there to be found or to be sought,
it is there to be lived, in every walk we walk
and every hold we hold, come what may, with hand
in hand together forever!

Siren Of The Sea
Sea-
When the tide comes in
I will walk upon two feet
I will wander through the shallow waters
So we two can meet
When the tide goes out
I will join it in the sea
When the waves crash against the shore
Look upon them and remember me
Land-
I shall not walk upon the land
But I shall sing to you from the sea
The tune of the ocean
In such fluid melody
So jump into the water
And take me by the hand
Walk with me through the sea
For I cannot bear the land
Swim-
Walk into the waters
For that is where you will find me
Bathe with me in the ocean
And swim with me through the sea
For there you will always find me
The sea is my song
I will sing it to you as we swim
For this is where we belong
Walk-
I shall not walk upon dry land
Though two feet could be mine
My fins are what I am accustom to
And they suit me just fine
I will not walk upon dry land
For there I cannot be
So delve into the ocean
And you may swim with me

Forty Years Old
The tidings of your melancholy loss,
And received at the other hand to crown your glory;
But ten times more of needful things like the muse of your love,
For i love you with my sincere heart.
Life is like the natural tune coming out from my radio,
And you are mine and i am yours;
For i will repay all that you've lost in this town,
So be confident with your thoughts towards me.
Bound to me only by the links of this love is your muse,
Because you are my daily joy as compared to a common man's life;
But the hiding places beyond the seas are with cheerfulness!
And i will bear your memory with me always.
It was like the love letters full of wondrous news,
And of the forty years old love songs to boast your muse;
But both of us will live to see a better day on this love.
Stong and hale,
Weak and pale,
And like a fairly tale;
But lay now the corner stone with a joyful heart!
And like a leisure hour out of sight,
But we will be pure as the naked heavens one day.
There is comfort in the strength of love,
And of the tidings of your melancholy loss;
But ten time more of needful things like the muse of your love.

The Game of Fate
What if I told you love was a game I don’t want to play,
Because its hurt me one too many times,
And I’m afraid,
Afraid of finding everything I want,
And it not wanting me back,
Or what if love is just some trick of our imagination,
And one day we wake to find nothing at all,
And all that’s left is our own devastation.
Sometimes I dream too much,
And when I finally find my dreams in life,
They only cause me strife,
And pain,
And hurt,
But love and pain walk hand in hand with fate,
Life is an adventure filled with pain,
But somewhere deep within that pain is something stronger,
Something that can over come it all,
And that is love,
But first you have to ride the waves of fate.
Through the many trials you must face,
In the end it is all worth it no matter how much you had to give up along the way,
Love is worth the fight,
And that is what fate is trying to teach you,
That love is so special,
It shouldn’t be so easy to obtain,
So fate throws you pain,
But you have to push through,
In order to find the love that’s true.
