My Maiden Flight

Very often I smell
A temporary breath
Of a petal of hope
Getting evaporated
Into the vacuum
Under my nose.

When love
Like a solitary drop
Seeps through
The unseen pores
Of a sandy bed
Of a dreary desert.

Trust gets twisted
At its crucial joints
Like the tender bones
Of a still-born babe
In the murky corridors
Of a tiny coffin.

Lo!
After my maiden flight
I land on your courtyard
Like a petrified swan
With broken wings
And bleeding dreams.

My Maiden Flight

for once i trusted
and invested faith
in a life tender
it dispapeared
in my stillness
and in the commotion
outside my stilledness
'petal of hope'
withered in a vacuum
and was laid to rest
in an unknown grave...

my maiden flight
never really took off...

Tender Only To One

Tender only to one
Tender and true
The petals swing
To my fingering
Is it you, or you, or you?

Tender only to one
I do not know his name
And the friends who fall
To the petals’ call
May think my love to blame.

Tender only to one
This petal holds a clue
The face it shows
But too well knows
Who I am tender to.

Tender only to one,
Last petal’s latest breath
Cries out aloud
From the icy shroud
His name, his name is Death.

Fade

Trying to see the tunnel's light
This journey's fight
It bleeds my heart
The broken will
The faded zeal
Where am I now
All have come
All have promised
They are gone
With all I have missed
Hold me now
Take my hand
Show me somehow
I'll reach the land
The promised land
The distant shore
This melting iceland
It drowns my soul
With all I've lost
Sorrow seeps through
These aging pores
Silence speaks to me
I love the way she speaks
I learn the things she means
Would love to share the gist
But no one's near to move my beak
Through it all
I held on to hope
Hope is drowning
Save us both
Look at me
Am I who you used to see
Oh, tell me
Save me.

Broken Girl

broken girl
come to me
i will guide you
to this austrian mirror

see yourself
your heart bleeding
your flesh rotting
your bones rattling
our nose twitching
your eyes crying
badly you are hurt
you are but pieces
scattering without
direction

broken girl
come to me
embrace me
i have this love
to make the repairs

broken girl
come to me
i have this trust
to give you

broken girl
come to me
let us to go the fields
and feel the air of freedom
let us play in the shores
of life where the sea is gentle
and kind
where the sands are soft
where our eyes can sleep
where tomorrow is a promise
where today is just today
nothing big and illusory

now, you smile to me
broken girl take this love
and be whole again

The bones

nothing can be more dry than a piece of human bone
they steal the vitality from you even as you look

i stare at a broken 200 year old coffin filled with
all facets of skeletons; a jamble mass of broken,
brittle, sorry state of dehydration;

joints, ankles, skulls, and thigh bones
that had taken on the years to nowhere,

a stamp of desolate whiteness that
dissipates the spirit and gnaws at the heart
with its teeth of anguish

dont get me wrong, they are just bones and nothing else,
and they arouse no fear, no ghost walks with them;

death is like the bones, dry and empty, carrying
a whiteness so dissipating i guess that's God
telling us it holds no more life, merely broken
jigsaw pieces where no more dream can be put together

I Dream of a New Land

my soul chained with fears
caged in a dark place
cries with sorrowful tears
down my pale, hollow face

the notes of my song die
before even being born
my broken wings cannot fly
deep in my heart, I can feel
this sharp, constant thorn

I dream of a new land
the land of the blue skies
-the land of the free-
across this desert,
across this dry sand
across this stormy sea

will I dare to act on my dreams?
will I dare to rise and break my chains?
will I dare to free all the inside screams?
will I dare to reveal all my pains?

my soul without any fears
flies free in a colorful place
cries with new happy tears
down my bright, beautiful face

a new song is born in an instant
I carry it on my new silver wings
there’s no time and no distance
I’m born in the eternal existence
my heart forever sings

I dream of a new land
the land of the blue skies
-the land of the free-
across this desert,
across this dry sand
across this stormy sea

The Vision of the Archangels

Slowly up silent peaks, the white edge of the world,
Trod four archangels, clear against the unheeding sky,
Bearing, with quiet even steps, and great wings furled,
A little dingy coffin; where a child must lie,
It was so tiny. (Yet, you had fancied, God could never
Have bidden a child turn from the spring and the sunlight,
And shut him in that lonely shell, to drop for ever
Into the emptiness and silence, into the night. . . .)

They then from the sheer summit cast, and watched it fall,
Through unknown glooms, that frail black coffin -and therein
God's little pitiful Body lying, worn and thin,
And curled up like some crumpled, lonely flower-petal-
Till it was no more visible; then turned again
With sorrowful quiet faces downward to the plain.

Mummy

Frozen love in this desert
Melting heart in the Iceland
I am calculating all unknowns
Many babies are now born
But I am all alone
Lying inside a coffin as if
I had never been born...
Weather me
Weather me by years, Weather
me by tears, Weather me by fear
Though I am dead,
I am alive, so alive that you can't imagine
I am inside total protection by the girdle inside the coffin,
which is sheltered by the pyramid.
But Why? Why do I feel insecured?
The sandy wind is blowing you away,
The windy air is weathering my age
But I am still beautiful
when you call me
Mummy
And though all of my body is in this deserted place
My heart is still pumping day by day
Waiting for our new age...

Rising dreams

Dreams!
My delicate dreams!
Woven with the tender threads of love,
Bound with the glue of belief.
When collide,
Break down
Into shears and shreads.
A thousand of them!
Each bit a tiny momento
Of time.
Each bit a priceless memory
Difficult to unwind.
I mourn,
My thousand tears
And bury them
Deep somewhere in my heart.
My heart,
Cemetery of my dreams.
My dreams,
Born a thousand lives
Dying a thousand deaths.
My delicate dreams
Woven with the threads of love
Bound with the glue of belief.
And
To my weirdest surprise
I see them rise
From thousand broken shears
From thousand broken shreds
With smile in their lips
Hope in their brows
They rise
Weaving together the threads of love
Bonding with the glue of belief.
Yes! They rise
My dreams They rise.-anjali

Heart, beating strong
I was serious my love was furious
For you, only you, oh babe
Darling I dont know why
Cant leave you alone
You thrill me to the bone
Youre the one
Obsession oh babe
Dont you know it was a crucial lovin
Cru-cial

Cru-cial
Chills, over me
Different from the rest
I wont settle for less
Hello, wont take no oh babe
From now on you and i
Stood the test of time
Still youre on my mind
Always, night and day oh babe
Dont you know it was a crucial lovin
Cru-cial

Girl Ive got to show you
Feelings over load extreme
For the very first time
Girl you are my last time
You have taken over me

Nun and monk

A nun is born to blush unseen
And waste her sweetness in the desert.
A monk is born to beam unseen
And lose his shower in the ocean.
Both are ill born to wither unseen
And miss the other half in the wilderness.
Who is the cause, the God or His sons?

Mother And Child, The Strongest Bond

So broken, broken spirit, broken heart, shattered heart, broken trust, must be strong, for herself, and the life of her child, to protect herself and her child, to survive, nowhere to go, no home, nowhere to hide, so exposed, how? You ask? How does she keep on going? In hope for someone to love her without breaking her down so badly, and for her child's sake, how? She asks, how can i trust someone, when so many people burned me? And put me down so many times? Nothing's there anymore, no feeling, just hope, but hope's fading fast, she can only dream, but the dreams are fading fast too, teaching her child to trust no one, but she doesn't know how long she'll last, the only reason why she's hung on so tightly is for her child, her child, the strongest bond is the love between a mother and child........

Flightless angels shall fervently stare

A little prismatic wing of love wings its way back for us all at once to try and cocoon its meaning and discover.
O’ what cherished rose petal flower buds with their sunlight’s rubicund rays will always deliver.
Yes a little flight of fantasy, a love that; could sojourn or rest with us or none other apart from him.
When their wings walk on the water… and their swift’s tail slices the sweet air we’ll swear his with her soul goes gently there.
Through all the wonders of the heavenly world they’ll go gliding together here and there everywhere elsewhere.
As little cabbage white butterflies courting in the air in love forever. Prismatic stars shall gaze in anger and flightless angels shall fervently stare at the vacuum of their worldly unabated care.

broken and Numb.

She knows these are her
Last moments with her still
Born babe knows they'll take
The babe away and leave
Her arms empty like the
Cradle at home standing
In the nursery especially
Prepared with the wallpaper
Chosen and the new carpets
Laid and she hugs the babe
Close to her breasts tries to
Bring warmth to the lifeless
Bundle wrapped in a white
Blanket and we'll be back in
A while the nurse had said
and she left the small room
and the door clicked shut
With a small click and she
Walks the room rocking
The babe feeling the weight
Sensing her child there her
Flesh and blood and she
Wants to breathe life into
The tiny lungs want to see
Movement wants there to
Be a miracle to shock them
To say look there is life you
Must have been mistaken
But no matter how hard she
Breathes or rocks the babe
No life comes no movement
No miracle of miracles and
Out of the window as she passes
The trees have that winter
Bareness the sky the greyness
Of cannon smoke and a little
Way off a woman laughs a
Vacuum machine is turned
On and a baby cries but not
Hers for hers is silent unmoving
Becoming cold and stiff and
She kisses the pale cheek the
Forehead seeks out the small
Uncrutching hands the tiny
Curved fingers and holding
The babe up tight against her
She doesn't want the separation
To come doesn't want the nurse
To take away the babe in her
Arms but she knows the minutes
Tick away and the nurse will
Come and the empty arms will
Leave her broken and numb.

I Think I'm Falling In Love

If only you would love me
The way I love you
You’ve seen it in my eyes
I hope you've felt in my touch
I have tried to show you in so many ways
I just hope it will be enough to win your heart over
Cause in the end mine is still yours

I'd take you any where
Give you anything for you
To look at me like
The way I look at you

I can say I million words
Do a million things
To say I love you
But why would I want to
When all you would have to do
Is look into my eyes
Then they will take you on a journey
Into what’s me
On the wings of an angel
Where my heart will only long
To be with you
To be one with you
Closer then skin

My heart was broken
Torn and twisted
Bleeding and scared
After him
I was to busy collecting stones
When I should have been polishing
The gorgeous diamond sitting there just
Waiting for me
That was when I was to blind to see
Though the tears blood
And the scrambled pieces of my heart
That desperately needed to be picked up
To blind to see you
But now
Now I have you
I can see and I love what I see
You’re one of the best things that
Ever happened to me
I think I’m falling in love with you

My Desert Serenade

(words & music by stan gelber)
Come here my serenade, my desert serenade
A lovers melody, to bring you close to me
Its a tender lullaby, born of golden sand and sky
The song is new, and its calling you
Tonight beside the desert palms
Come let me take you in my arms
Come here my serenade, my desert serenade
Wherever lovers dwell, it weaves its magic spell
Soon a thousand dreams will start,
And romance will fill your heart
My lips conceal, love thats warm and real
Give me a chance to hold you near
Youll see a brand new world appear
So come and hear, my desert serenade, my desert serenade,
My desert serenade

Drop The Mask

(tim tickner, christopher ward, diana ross)
Look in the mirror, who do you see
Where is the man that you used to be
When you turn off the world and turn down the lights
Do you ever wonder who you are tonight
I knew you then, I love you now
You can call me up when it gets you down
Behind the shades theres someone real
Behind your eyes I wonder how you feel
This is me talking to you
Theres just one thing Im asking you to do
You gotta drop the mask, be yourself
Drop the mask
Trust someone else
No one knows what youre going through
Whatever it is, Ill be there for you
If you drop the mask, be yourself
Drop the mask
Trust someone else
I was there when it all began
I still remember the boy within the man
I understand what it means to run and hide
Theres so much that were holding onto deep down inside
This is me talking to you
The only thing that I want you to do
You gotta drop the mask, be yourself
Drop the mask
Trust someone else
No one knows what youre going through
Whatever it is, Ill be there for you
When you drop the mask, be yourself
Drop the mask
Trust someone else
Drop the mask
Drop the mask
Let down your guard, open your heart
Unlose your chains, dont be afraid
Drop the mask
Be yourself
Be yourself
Trust someone else
You gotta drop the mask
Let down your guard, oh you gotta drop the mask
Trust someone else
You gotta drop the mask

Good Sandy your hair

no sunlight to shed
no smell of burdock oil
no trace to be led

good Sandy your hair

naked treetops sway
boughs bound to heaven
a forgiveness pray

good Sandy your hair

spread the desert blues
an oasis patch of gold
yeared within the hues

good Sandy your hair

no sunlight to shed
no smell of burdock oil
no trace to be led

Once

Once you have touched a rose petal
it's the smell that's eternal
Once you have seen sunrise
it's hope forever in disguise
Once you have bathed in moonlight
it's dreamy eyes and blurred sight
Once love is born
it's forgetting the thorn!
