Sometimes

Sometimes,
The onions
Come to my rescue.
Sometimes, the
Choking on the food.
Sometimes, the smoke
From the firewood.

The tears in my eyes
Just wouldn’t stop
And I know the reason
Why.
But have to hide them
From my children.
If they ask me why,
I can’t tell them why.

Sometimes, hiding
Doesn’t work.
So if they see it,
They wonder why…
Then I tell them
Stories of how
Invisible particles
Prick my eyes.

So now, they just guess
It could be the onions,
The smoke, the particles
Or the choking that plagues
Mummy sometimes,
Don’t know why…

I do not like onions. It's so funny because I am probably one of the least picky eaters ever. Pretty much any type of new food, I'll try it, I'll eat it. But onions, and pork. Pork and onions.

What Time Do We Leave Tonight?

what time do we leave tonight?

we can start at six
i will fetch you
and take you to the place of your wanting
we shall dine
and have a lovely conversation
under the stars
by the sea on a restaurant
the open air
the one we didn't have when we were young
and always in hiding

now our white hairs speak a lot
some wrinkles
tell us of our dignity
our words are carefully chosen
woven not just by our hearts
but by our steady minds
disciplined by time
and agony

there is a lonely flower on the table
the accent of an affair long forgotten
by time
the food is served hot and spicy
white glutenous rice
and hot green tea

we do not like to eat much
we like the talk
we are like peeling
some potatoes
slicing some onions
and some tears
fall from our eyes
then we laugh

it must be the spices and the onions
not the past
now hidden, buried, and dead
the way we prefer
them now
as it is
not as they once were
unruly they all say
but really
still very exciting like the chase
of children
playing in the park one night
when the moon
was full

William Shakespeare

Romeo: Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs;
Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes;
Being vexed, a sea nourished with loving tears.
What is it else? A madness most discreet,
A choking gall, and a preserving sweet.

Oh Mummy, Oh Mummy

Oh Mummy, oh Mummy
where are you?
You were in your sarcophagus yesterday
but now you are gone.
Oh Mummy, oh Mummy
where may you be?
Has someone in the night
come in and stolen thee?
Oh Mummy, oh Mummy
I know you are two thousand years old
and just a box of bandages,
but about you, I care so.
I found you in that pyramid
amongst all your treasures
for the after life.
Oh Mummy, oh Mummy
there you are hiding away from me.
Hey, what are you doing?
Oooh Mummy stop doing that,
you are two thousand years old
and I am only twenty-three.
Oooh Mummy. Oooh Mummy
don’t stop now.
Oooh Mummy you are a sexy beast.

Onions And Ginger

I am on it!
I am sitting on it;
But, use onions and ginger to prepare my food,
For, i am still searching for the letters.
Across the skies!
Across the waters,
Across, the seas,
And across tha land;
But, i am still searching for the letters,
So, use onions and ginger to prepare my food.

Everybody Is Broken

I'm looking around,
But, it's like everybody is broken!
Suffocation-no breathing!
We all seem to be choking
Spread on the ground
Just like shattered glass
Oh, to be free-
Free of this place now, at last!
Life, that is-
The Journey, the test.
This GOD forsaken battle...
We understand it less and less
Yes, all the broken people
Never asking to be here
Filled with nothing but-
The most intense despair
We fall down to our knees
We beg to find salvation
Ringing through the air
You can hear our desperation!
I try to look away
My eyes I try to close
Because, we ache so much inside
But, it's like it doesn't even show
The Darkness invades
The Dark-it surrounds us
We're bound and we're gagged
And, no light is around us!
We run, and we hide
We then beg for a chance
But, that drug it is sly
And, it takes us at first glance
I want to scream out loud
But, instead I sit here choking
Why are we so lost?
Why are we so broken?
Never really knowing
What to do or say
Never really seeing
The road that is the way
And all we see is darkness
So again we try to hide
But then we cannot find
A way now back inside
So where do all the people go-
When they've become so broken?
How can we prevent the death...
When they sit there choking?

Choking smoke
Rolling thunder
The forgotten soldier
Still cries for his mother
Crouching still
with blood stench steaming
The forgotten soldier
Has lost all feeling.

Shocked eyes glance
From corpse strewn clay
Where wide eyed shattered
children lay
Time stands still
With no solid floor
He is reborn -
To face the eternal war.

Mrs Bryces Onions

mrs bryces onions

Unmentionable as from today

They say, they're turning grey

Once proud shiny roundy

To be foundy in most fertile groundies

Now rotten to the core

Mrs bryces onions are corrupted

DEAD

They are no more!

Withered battered shattered

cheated and defeated

by the flux of ever changing climes

No more the darling of affections

Left off from vegetable selections

In the glitzy superstore

Laid low and easily forgotten

Cos they're stinky black and rotten

Festering within the plot land

Mrs Bryces ONIONS, are no more!

Poetry deserted me
with metaphor and simile.
So the rain fell like.......rain.
And onions were just onions.
No response in Lost and Found.
I miss them now they're not around.

Dynamiter

I sat with a dynamiter at supper in a German saloon eating steak and onions.
And he laughed and told stories of his wife and children and the cause of labor and the working class.
It was laughter of an unshakable man knowing life to be a rich and red-blooded thing.
Yes, his laugh rang like the call of gray birds filled with a glory of joy ramming their winged flight through a rain storm.
His name was in many newspapers as an enemy of the nation and few keepers of churches or schools would open their doors to him.
Over the steak and onions not a word was said of his deep days and nights as a dynamiter.
Only I always remember him as a lover of life, a lover of children, a lover of all free, reckless laughter everywhere—lover of red hearts and red blood the world over.

Quick Essay On Neutrino Particles

Factual Thesis:

Created by nuclear reactions
from inside the sun
Six thousand billion… neutrino particles
Penetrate your body
every second…of every day

Opinion;

Well…the very thought of atomic particles
Zinging through anything… much less my testicles
is a bit Discomforting
In almost every possible way

Summation:

This might sound low-brow
Or as the Jewish say…“kitschy”
But six thousand billion atomic particles…
Can make a guy… feel really itchy

They’re painless and harmless
But I just don’t like the way
They just Whizz, Right through my skinny body…
Every second…of every day

You, Tears and I

For some indiscernible reason
A flash of tears gets
Halted in their flow
At the throat
I look this side and that side
And in all possible directions
Awkwardly to hide them
From you and myself

And I appear gawky

For a wink you look at me
As if I were a stranger
And go about your affairs
Leaving me alone to negotiate
The choking tears…

Market Women’s Cries

APPLES

COME buy my fine wares,
Plums, apples and pears.
A hundred a penny,
In conscience too many:
Come, will you have any?
My children are seven,
I wish them in Heaven;
My husband ’s a sot,
With his pipe and his pot,
Not a farthen will gain them,
And I must maintain them.

ONIONS

Come, follow me by the smell,
Here are delicate onions to sell;
I promise to use you well.
They make the blood warmer,
You’ll feed like a farmer;
For this is every cook’s opinion,
No savoury dish without an onion;
But, lest your kissing should be spoiled,
Your onions must be thoroughly boiled:
Or else you may spare
Your mistress a share,
The secret will never be known:
She cannot discover
The breath of her lover,
But think it as sweet as her own.

HERRINGS

Be not sparing,
Leave off swearing.
Buy my herring
Fresh from Malahide,
Better never was tried.
Come, eat them with pure fresh butter and mustard,
Their bellies are soft, and as white as a custard.
Come, sixpence a dozen, to get me some bread,
Or, like my own herrings, I soon shall be dead.

All time low

All Time Low
By: Jean Pullman

You, slit your wrist just to feel
(Whisper) That life is real
You, wonder when you’re gonna die
(Whisper) Am I still alive

CHORUS
You’re at your all time low
There’s nowhere
Every door’s been locked
Every window’s broken
You wouldn’t stop and now you’re choking
You’re at your all time low
Where you gonna go

You, constantly feel like dying
(Whisper) Choke when you’re crying
You, call and get no answer
(Whisper) Your mind begins to canter
You, let you’re tears flow
(Whisper) Feel extremely low
You, feel like hanging from a rope
(Whisper) you lose control
You, know he’s ignoring your calls
(Whisper) Your insides crawl

CHORUS
You’re at your all time low
There’s nowhere
Every door’s been locked
Every window’s broken
You wouldn’t stop and now you’re choking
You’re at your all time low
Where you gonna go

You, are flying through a pitch black vortex
(Whisper) the bullet in your chest
You, aren’t seeing a white light
(Whisper) not a surprise
You, couldn’t take anymore
(Whisper) you’re bloody corpse on the floor
You, are finally not depressed
(Whisper) Because you’re dead

Mother Of A Girl

You look like you could be the mother of a girl
A girl I hated more than any other girl in the world
The way I let her treat me was totally a disgrace
I wanted to permanently wipe that smile off her face
No Im not joking
Yes I was choking
You look like you could be the mother of a girl
A girl I loved more than any other girl in the world
The way that I treated her was totally a crime
I wanted to permanently wipe the joy out of my mind
No Im not joking
Yes I was choking
You look like you could be the mother of a boy
Who bored me more than any other man in the land
The way that he dogged me like I was totally a jerk
I wanted to permanently pound his prick into the dirt
No Im not joking
Yes I was choking

I'd Like To Teach The World To Smoke

(parody of 'I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing')

I'd like to build the world an addiction
And furnish it with pain
Grow tobacco leaves and more tobacco leaves, people's got smoking on the brain
I'd like to teach the world to smoke
In perfect harmony
And grasp it slowly round the neck, laughing as it choked

I'd like to see the world for once
All addicts a gasping, choking mix
And hear them echo through the hills Oh, where's my latest fix

(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to teach the world to smoke (that the world sings today)
In perfect harmony

I'd like to teach the world to smoke
In perfect harmony

I'd like to build the world an addiction
And furnish it with pain
Grow tobacco leaves and more tobacco leaves, people's got smoking on the brain
I'd like to teach the world to smoke (that the world sings today)
In perfect harmony
I'd like to strangle it in my arms and make my company money
(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to see the world for once
All addicts a gasping, choking mix
And hear them echo through the hills Oh, where's my latest fix

(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to teach the world to smoke (that the world sings today)
In perfect harmony
