Sex

Nobody likes sex
Loves sex
They all detest sex.

Sex is a taboo word.
Society’s bane
Driving man insane.

Don’t talk sex.
I don’t want to hear sex
Nor see sex.

We all are hypocrites
In this world of make-beliefs
Being ‘clean’ and untarnished
By sex, and yet we cross all
Limits in our bedroom games.

So let’s avoid talking sex.
No reading, nor writing sex.
For propriety sake, talk
Everything else but sex.

And yet, if you see the
Articles and poems
Broaching sex,
Those have the maximum
Reader counts,
As if people keep flocking in
To increase their views
And reviews; -)

Don’t agree?

You Do Not Have...

you do not have to
read me
for me to become
another poet

i am
and i can be
and i will be
even without you

and you are
and you can be
and you shall be
even without me

i am a poet
because i have decided to write the poems
and the poem shall be there forever
until the right reader comes along

the one who loves
a poem even without me
even without you
even without the world

this poem and that poem shall be
even without us
for these are words
and words shall be words even without the world

for it was the word which came first
and shall remain
till eternity.

Humanity

Everytime I walk down the street
I see lots of idiocy
Lots of hypocrites
Lots of ignorance
Lots of people polluting the street
With lots of litter
When I talk to people
They bring up facebook and twitter
I'm like 'Can you talk about something else? '
This is all people talk about these days
All I hear is celebrity gossip and drama
No one knows how to have fun
Everyone's forgotten how to have fun
I hate society
I hate most people
I wish the human race was extinct
I wish the world would just end

Like So Many Poems I Read

LIKE SO MANY POEMS I READ

Like so many poems I read
These poems I am reading now
Are not poems to me.

They are too detached
Too abstract
Too up in the air.

I want to hear the words
Make a music of feeling
In my soul.

A poem must move me
If it is to be real.

Why then do I write these words
as if a poem?

I Don't Believe 'You' Wrote This!

I am told I have a way with words.
I am encouraged when I hear that said.
I remember listening to my father talk.
And when he would sing...
He would bring a different meaning,
To each word I heard.
And what his singing to them he would bring.

My mother would play the piano.
Thunderous and loud!
And when I walked through the projects...
I would sing to the trees,
I once walked into one...
Humming to the clouds.

I would make up melodies and tunes with words.
Mocking my dad and my mother's love,
For gospel verse she would rehearse.

I didn't think anything really about words I wrote.
Until my sister read a poem of mine.
And I wanted to choke her by the throat!
YES!
She was the first to read something I wrote out loud.
I was embarrassed by that.
Her nosy grown up butt...
Reading my 'stuff' behind my back!

And then she said to me,
'I don't believe 'you' wrote this! '
I must have been 13 years old...
When I started to make my writing public.

I am told I have a way with words.
I am encouraged when I hear that said.
I remember listening to my father talk.
And when he would sing...
He would bring a different meaning,
To each word I heard.
And what his singing to them he would bring.

Each 'thing' I write now...
Is added to a mixed bag offering!
And reflecting how I'm feeling at the time.
I am grateful for this blessing.
It offers a comfort and a peace of mind!
And when someone says they enjoy what I do...
I must be honest with 'you', the reader!
I-do-too!

Lets Talk It Over

(kenneth gamble / leon huff)
(talk it over)
(talk it over)
You seem to think that everything is more important than me, baby
As if to think my world would be lonely without you on the scene
Oh, its about time I moved up the ladder
Got to be number one or nothin at all
Lets sit down, talk it over
Take that finger from your face
Look at me for goodness sake
Talk it over, hey, talk about it
I do everything I can to make life easy for you, baby
But you take me for granted
What is our love, our love comin to? , oh
Its about time for us to have a talk
And maybe Im not satisfyin you boy
You gotta tell me cause this aint right
Why aint you oh-be holding me tight?
Lets sit down, talk it over
Take that finger from your face
Look at me for goodness sake
Talk it over, talk about it, baby
I said lets talk about it, baby
Ooh, talk about it, baby
Lets talk it over, yeah
Hey, talk it over
Hey, baby come on over here
Talk it over with me, baby, yeah
Hey, talk it over, baby
Talk, talk, talk, talk it over
Talk, talk, talk it over with me
Hey, talk it over

An Apology To The Reader Who Has Written Me A Message I Have Not Answered

AN APOLOGY TO THE READER WHO HAS WRITTEN A MESSAGE TO ME I HAVE NOT ANSWERED

The real apology is not this poem
It is one by one
Reader by reader
Answering each one
Who has ever written me.

It is reading all the poems of others
I do not want to say
A ‘real no’ or a ‘false yes’ to.

It is opening myself
To perhaps a true friend
To perhaps one whose writing
I see better than my own.

The real apology
Is in opening up to the poems of the many unknown others.

Will I do this
Will I give it the time
When I already am guilty
Of not using my limited time
To correct my past work?

Dear Reader,
I apologize, I do not know.

Yeah
Im gonna make you, shake you, take you
Im gonna be the one who breaks you
Put the screws into ya, my way
Yeah, cmon, cmon come and make my day
Make my day
Yeah
Got some hell to pay you, steal your thunder
The joy of violent movement, pulls you under
Ooh bite the bullet, well hard
Yea, but I bite harder, so go to far
To far
Friction, fusion, retribution
I cant hear ya... talk to me
I cant hear ya... so talk to me
I cant hear ya are you talking to me
I cant hear ya are you talking to me
I cant hear ya trying to be my lord
I cant hear ya talking 2 by 4
Yeah
Im gonna make you, shake you, take you
Im gonna be that one who breaks you
Put the screws into ya, my way
Hey cmon, cmon, come and make my day
Make my day
Friction, fusion, retribution
I cant hear ya... talk to me
I cant hear ya... talk to me
I cant hear ya are you talking to me
I cant hear ya while your talking to me
I cant hear ya trying to be my lord
I cant hear ya talking 2 by 4
Friction, fusion, retribution
Im going to make you... talk to me
Im going to trick you... so talk to me
I cant hear ya are you talking to me

Young Reviews

Some young poets may mistake
Reviews as a door for more discussion
A vast arena where one can make
An endless lane for Argumentation.
Reviewing further on a review
The comment box becomes gibe talk
Topic diverted to irrelevant issues
Until its there that Gossip walks
Perhaps a line has to be drawn
Where Poetry as art should have a place
Center the review on what it spawns
The impact, the theme, what the poems says

-------------

This poem was written as a satire for young poets
who have mistaken the comment box as a place for pointless
discussion/arguments and some have gone so far as talk
about an erring mother (the subject of a poem) . Such
practice diverts the purpose for reviews - which is to
comment on the poem - not on the character or subject,
for then it ends up as a 'gossip box'.

I Wanted My Poem To Be A Real Poem

I WANTED MY POEM TO BE A REAL POEM

I wanted my poem to be a real poem-
I have read and studied and memorized
So many real poems-
I wanted my poem to be one of them
Which others would read and feel and memorize
And make their own –

We want and we want and we want
And who are we with all our wanting?
Who am I with all my wanting?
One more dreamer
One more ambitious person
One more lover of poems
One more writer of poems
One more wanter of real poems
Who writes this poem
For others
who dream like me
of writing real poems.

Moving round

The world is the paper
The sea is the ink
And I'm the sea
Full of thought
And emotion
And writing poems
On the paper-world.

The tree the bird
The cloud the air
The light the earth
Are ingredients of poems
I'm writing the poem
My poem moving round
The life's circle
You are to read and read.

Talk To Me

When I see you, girl you turn my head, you make me dizzy
I get a good vibration
When I look into your big blue eyes, I start to quiver and shake
I get a strange sensation
When you walk by me you strut around, you make me crazy, I get no relaxation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation, talk to me
People tell me that you run around and that youre no good
You got a bad reputation
I dont care what all the people say, you know they talk too much
Its a fascination
All I wanna do is talk to you and maybe go out, and form some kind of relation
So talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - why dont you
Talk to me - cmon and talk to me
I just wanna talk to you
Girl I wish you knew the way I felt, you think Im silly, that its infatuation
So we better get together soon, because I need you girl
I cant stand the frustration, so
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, all I want is a little conversation
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - why dont you
Talk to me - cmon and talk to me
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me - I just wanna talk to you

She Loves To Talk

She wakes up in the mornin', puts her face on
grabs a cup o' coffee then she's on that phone..
(Chorus)
That woman loves to Talk (...she loves to talk...talk)
Yeah, she's what I want (she's what I want)
I don't mean to sound complainin'
she's my source of entertainment
That woman loves to talk!
Conversation ain't no trouble...in this family
She keeps me stimulated more than my new TV
(2nd Chorus)
That woman loves to Talk (...she loves to talk...talk)
yeah, she's what I want. (she's what I want)
She shoulda been a politician...
Got more wind than an air condition..
That woman Loves to Talk!
(Bridge)
Well, I know she might be different, that's what I like
She's something else when we turn down the light
It's hard to resist her, it's hard to explain
I love to hear her voice when she calls my name
(3rd chorus)
That woman loves to Talk! (...she loves to talk...talk..)
Yeah, she's what I want (she's what I want)
I wouldn't change a thing about her
wouldn't live this life without her
That woman Loves to Talk!
She could own Southern Bell ..for as much as she talks
She gets her recreation makin' long-distance calls!
(4th Chorus)
That woman Loves to Talk (...she loves to talk...talk..)
Yeah she's what I want (she's what I want)
I don't mean to sound complainin'
She's my source of entertainment
That woman Loves to Talk!
(2nd Bridge)
Yeah, she talks about this
Sometimes she talks about that
Every operator knows her name and address (...she loves to talk...talk..)
Can you hold on, please,
I'll check the line
I hope you got plenty of quarters and

Tricks

Ive seen the action
All kinds of people
Seen things disgusting
Ive seen it all
Ive heard excuses
All kinds of stories
Ive heard confessions
Ive heard it all
They wrote bad poems
Painted bad pictures
They say we used them
Im not sure
Some call it love and
Some call it affection
I dont believe it
Its all clean young flesh
And we all fall down
We all fall down
You say you want it
Dress to kill and kill me
We could play new games
And you could lose
Dont tell your mother
Or some jealous husband
Dont talk of love just
Send me a postcard
We need to feel it
We need to feel it
Ive lost all patience
Youll lose all pride
Ive no conversation
Ive no good intentions
Ive room for one more
Ive room for you
They say were corrupted
They say were disturbing
I dont know
It must be true
They say were reckless
They say were vicious
Its just a rumour
We dont leave scars
She likes the movement
She likes the motion
She likes to whisper
But then she likes to scream
She likes the dancing
She likes the make up
She likes to forget
bout everything

Talk About Love

Talking real world, all that pain
Try to fix it still comes out the same
Get down to rosies
Wont you pull that plug
Last week
Someone made a mess of that rug
Talking big house way up town
One day one day
Ill put the money down
All that baby talk its for the birds
Lets make some honey
Honey in so many words
Oh no
Dont want a serious conversation
I just want to get you serious
Serious
I want to talk about love
You talk about the weather
Rain or snow
Talking cold wind
The way its going to blow
Talking good times night and day
Talk talk a stronger man
Could lose his way
Aphrodite now theres a girl
Good good loving
She spreads around the world
Forget your dancing all that boogaloo
Drag that purse over here
I got to talk to you
Oh no
Dont want a serious conversation
I just want to get you serious
Serious
I want to talk about love

Like A Law Maker

Rain and sunshine,
Words and wisdom;
Watch the mouths of people when they do talk.
I have what it takes to tickle your mind,
Like a man who twists his lips to the right when he talks;
A word to the wise,
A poem to the masses,
Like a woman who twists her lips to the left when she talks;
I have what it takes to touch your heart.
Many have their lips directed to you when they talk,
To turn to the left and to the right at times;
Take a look,
Take a watch,
Swing it to the right or to the left to make a speech.

I am sending my information to you,
I am sharing my views with you,
I am writing my poems to you,
And i am educating many;
In aspeech like a law maker to many,
Like the land of total misty fog.

To the planetary life by humanity,
Life is full of joy and pain;
To the works of my mind to touch many,
There are fantasies to meet in this world at times;
Yes, the human mind can do many things.

Are you overtaken by what you did some years ago? !
We should always learn from our mistakes;
Don't you know that,
What you don't know can hurt you?
Like a common desire to the people around you.
If you doubt it, always do cheek;
If you are in love, always do say it;
Like the twisted lips of us all.

I'm this kinda girl...........

I’m this kinnda girl
Current mood: adored

I'm the girl who will put her head on your shoulder, not because she's sleepy, but because she wants to be closer to you...

I'm the girl who likes to be kissed under the stars, more than inside your bedroom or in a expensive resturant...

I'm the girl who holds your hand and plays with it....

I'm the girl who doesn't mind you playing with her hair....

I'm the girl who stares into your eyes looking for a reason what you see in me.......

I'm the girl who loves to end a hug with a kiss...

I'm the girl who will take care of you when you are sick...

I'm the girl who you can talk to you about anything...

I'm the girl who laughs at your jokes...

I'm the girl who will have many inside jokes with you and remember each one...

I'm the girl who will brag about you to all of my friends...

I'm the girl who will listen to you talk...

I'm the girl who remembers how and when we first met.......

I'm the girl who loves to hear you sing, even if you horrible....

I'm the girl who promises to never leave, and keeps it......

I'm the girl who loves when you hug me for no apparent reason...

I'm the girl who loves it when you hug me from behind or kiss me on the forehead....

I'm the girl who loves you for you; and doesn't care what other people say about us...

I'm the girl who will love you unconditionally for the rest of your life...

Communique

They wanna get a statement for jesus sake
Its like talking to the wall
Hes incommunicado no comment to make
Hes saying nothing at all
But in the communique you know hes gonna come clean
Think what he say, say what he mean
Maybe on monday he got something to say
Communication
Communique
Communique
Maybe he could talk about the tricks of the trade
Maybe he could talk about himself
Maybe he could talk about the money that he made
Maybe hed be saying something else
But in the communique you know hes gonna come clean
Think what he say, say what he mean
Maybe on monday he got something to say
Communication
Communique
Communique
And now the rumors are flying
Speculation rising
Say that hes been trying someone elses wife
Somebody at the airport
Somebody on the phone
Says hes at the station and hes coming on the noon
Then we get the story a serious breeze
And a photograph taken in the hall
You dont have to worry with the previous release
Right now, hes saying nothing at all
But in the communique you know hes gonna come clean
Think what he say, say what he mean
Maybe on monday he got something to say
Communication

Open Stage Poetry Reading

After the one that sings, and after the one
that can make up poems of a kind right on the spot;
after a girl who didn't . . . walk very well,
took five minutes to get from her seat to the stage
then read one poem with hardly any words in it
and halted the whole way back in a staggering silence;
after the bald one's rhymes about this teeth;
a woman got up whose poems won't write down,
it's all in the way the voices in her come out.

We went to a medium once, and a woman locked
in a trance let a dead man come inside her and talk.
She held herself like . . . a woman being a man.
That's what it was at the open stage poetry reading,
and I left without talking, I hadn't come expecting it.
What could I have told her, I think it's a dead man?
It wasn't something I wanted to get that close to.
I could never do it myself, let a dead man come in-
or would it be, into me, a dead woman that would come?
