The Joker and the Queen of Hearts
The Queen of Hearts is dead and gone
By her hand she was slain
The Prince stands like a statue
Quietly crying in the rain
Work calls to the ruler
Like the lyres to the bards
As the King takes on the task
Of informing the other cards
Two looks on in horror
Of the bloodshed that was wrought
Three sreams out to heaven
'Everything's for naught'
Four sits in a corner
And sadly hangs his head
Five now wishes with all his heart
That he was also dead
Six can barely hang on
He will really miss the Queen
Seven sees her spirit
As he can see more than is seen
Eight runs to the forest
And cries beneath a tree
Nine stares out forlornly
But he knows the Queen is free
Ten retreats to darkness
And will not show his face
That leaves one last card...
The little lonely Ace
Ace will know the story
He will search and seek and find
Nothing will deter him
Or ever change his mind
The story that he found out
It can be told like this
It involves a handsome lover
And our stunning Queen of bliss
There was a man of high degree
Funny, smart, and quite a looker
And though it was degrading
His mother named him Joker
The Queen, though she was married,
Fell into his arms
The Joker was a mischievous man
And only planned her harms
The Queen had truly loved him
And she would not let go
The Joker tore her heart to bits
And all the rest you know
She ended her life in her depression
To end her throbbing pain
And as I have said before
Prince Jack stands in the rain
The cards all stand in silence
As she descends into the ground
And her lover and her killer
Is locked up, chained and bound
But these are not your average chains
He's bound by things above
Cause now he knows with all his heart
He's killed his one true love
The Joker did not think
He could love someone
He broke the hearts of many
And thought it all good fun
But this time it was differnt
Maybe he changed with age
Because now that his Queen is gone
He's locked up in this cage
He wishes he could turn back time
Repeat and start again
But Nature will not have it
It's not part of the plan
And so the Joker takes his life
To join his missing Heart
And now that they're together
They shall never part

Playing with cards
The Joker was wild,
uninhibited and out of control.
He hit the deck, out did the Queen of Hearts
and all her tribe
confusing her husband the King
and kicked the Ace into touch.
The King of Spades saw him coming,
rounded up the troops, the Jack and
all the men from 2 to 10,
leaving the Ace until last
in case of something.
The Joker just smiled,
hitched up with the Queen of Clubs,
went along for the ride
to find the Diamonds and then,
threw all the cards on the table,
leading the whole pack awry
until the last man was trumped.

The Four Muses
Then they came one by one
Into the mind, a soul they caught
The four queens of a love
As yet unclaimed by a hand
The joker remains not a king
The first captured the imagination
One so well suited and inspired
That a spark was well felt
Only for the love to be clubbed to death
The second a heart bar none
Kind and beautiful and ever so loving
Sadly unable to see or accept the love
That waited for long to be seen
The third a diamond so bright
And beautiful as all the rest
The poor love could not afford
To win such favour of a queen
And so onwards unto the unknown
Where the final queen awaits
To sow the seeds of romance in the earth
Or else to dig the solemn grave
We await the queen of spades

Queen Of My Heart
[Kian:]
So here we stand
In our secret place
With a sound of the crowd
So far away
And you take my hand
And it feels like home
We both understand
It's where we belong
[Bryan:]
So how do I say?
Do I say goodbye?
We both have our dreams
We both wanna fly
So let's take tonight
To carry us through
The lonely times
[CHORUS:]
[All:]
I'll always look back
As I walk away
This memory
Will last for eternity
And all of our tears
Will be lost in the rain
When I've found my way
Back to your arms again
But until that day
You know you are
The queen of my heart
[Bryan:]
Queen of my heart
[Shane:]
So let's take tonight
And never let go
While dancing we'll kiss
Like there's no tomorrow
As the stars sparkle down
Like a diamond ring
I'll treasure this moment
Till we meet again
[Mark: (All:)]
But no matter how far
(Matter how far)
Or where you may be
(Where you may be)
I just close my eyes
(I just close my eyes)
And you're in my dreams
And there you will be
Until we meet
[Repeat chorus twice]
[Shane: (All:)]
Oh yeah
You're the
Queen of my heart
(Of my heart)
No matter
How many years it takes
(Queen of my heart)
I'll give it all to you
Oh yeah
(Queen of my heart)
Oh yes you are
The queen of my heart

Queen In Love
They all were there, the court was full
The king beside his queen
His love was cold, the fool will dance
for her 'till end of time,
The queen is in love,
The queen is in love.
She couldn't help her burning heart,
And now he's burning too.
Their love was blind,
They will dance until the end of time.
Queen is in love
Queen is in love
The furious king now has learned
He sentenced them to burn.
Forever one,
They are joined in death eternally
Queen is in love
Queen is in love

Queen
Head strong and steadfast junkies
All barter for the clean
They all wait in their plastic lines
To find what color means
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean
I spoke to a girl by the backdoor
She said she'd do anything just to meet you
You know I've seen that smile before
Just in time for a knee to hit the ground
Little girls
Dressed up like French whores
In velvet paintings
Wide eyed
Long nails
They all wanna live the fairy tale
(Chorus)
Did they tear you all up inside
Did they take away your pride
and she cried herself to sleep that night
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do know what I mean
Cause they all wanna be queen
And you do And you do And you do
know what I mean
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen
Queen wanna be queen

Daughters Of The Queen
The coach stands
Waiting just outside
Just in case the queen
Should want to take a ride
But she stays
Safely locked away
She knows the world outside
Can be so cold and grey
Daughters of the queen
Come outside and play
Slip into the nighttime
Before it slips away
Her castle
Looms into the sky
Behind those walls
Youll never see
A fear fall from her eye
She seems content
To live her life all alone
But locked inside
Those castle walls
Her heart has turned to stone
Daughters of the queen
Come outside and play
Slip into the nighttime
Before it slips away
Daughters of the queen
Come let me hold your hand
Isnt it about time
You need to feel a man
Today her majesty has gone
In deaths repose
Its much too late
She lies there all alone
Alas the dreams
Inside her heart
Sleep forever silent
Imprisoned by the dead
Daughters of the queen
Come outside and play
Slip into the nighttime
Before it gets too late

Sad Lover
Alright
Yeah
Whoa
If you want love
Dont come to me
Ill be the last to give you sympathy
Ive got my ways
Under the covers
Ill be the last to be your back door lover
Dont you cry now
Not around me
Baby I dont need that kinda company
Sad lover
Queen of hearts misery
Sad lover
You just aint what I need
You got your ways
And Ive got mine
I tell the truth
But youre out there lyin
Face it girl
White aint black
This time its over
Dont come back

Dont be a ghost when you finally die.

Queen Jane Approximately
Now when your mother sends back all your invitations
And your father to your sister he explains
That you're tired of yourself and all of your creations
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Now the flower lady wants back what she has have lent you
And the smell of her roses does not remain
When all your children start to resent you
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Now when all the clowns that you have commissioned
Have all died in battle or in vain
And you find yourself sick of all this repetition
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Now when all of your advisers heave their plastic
At your feet to convince you of your pain
Trying to prove that your conclusions should be more drastic
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Now when all the bandits that you turned your other cheek to
All throw down their bandannas and complain
Maybe you want somebody you don't have to speak to
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?
Won't you come see me, Queen Jane?

A New National Anthem
I.
God prosper, speed,and save,
God raise from England’s grave
Her murdered Queen!
Pave with swift victory
The steps of Liberty,
Whom Britons own to be
Immortal Queen.
II.
See, she comes throned on high,
On swift Eternity!
God save the Queen!
Millions on millions wait,
Firm, rapid, and elate,
On her majestic state!
God save the Queen!
III.
She is Thine own pure soul
Moulding the mighty whole,--
God save the Queen!
She is Thine own deep love
Rained down from Heaven above,--
Wherever she rest or move,
God save our Queen!
IV.
‘Wilder her enemies
In their own dark disguise,--
God save our Queen!
All earthly things that dare
Her sacred name to bear,
Strip them, as kings are, bare;
God save the Queen!
V.
Be her eternal throne
Built in our hearts alone--
God save the Queen!
Let the oppressor hold
Canopied seats of gold;
She sits enthroned of old
O’er our hearts Queen.
VI.
Lips touched by seraphim
Breathe out the choral hymn
‘God save the Queen!’
Sweet as if angels sang,
Loud as that trumpet’s clang
Wakening the world’s dead gang,--
God save the Queen!

Little Miss Queen Of Darkness
Well I met her accidentally,
In a little discotheque.
And she acted oh so friendly
To every fella that she met.
And her hair was hanging down,
Like a bright and silver machine[? ].
Little miss queen of darkness
Dancing night and day.
Little miss queen of darkness
Dancing, dancing on.
Although she looked so happy,
There was sadness in her eyes.
And her curly false eyelashes
Werent much of a disguise.
And her bright and golden hair,
Was not all that it might seem.
Little miss queen of darkness
Dances sadly on.
Yes little miss queen of darkness
Dancing, dancing on.
There was something missing
From her carefree little life,
And shell never understand you
When youre kissing her good night.
cause the only boy she had
Went and coolly stepped aside.
And little miss queen of darkness
Might as well have died.
Little miss queen of darkness
Dancing, dancing on.

Caroline Says I
Caroline says that Im just a toy
She wants a man, not just a boy
Oh, caroline says, ooohhh, caroline says
Caroline says she cant help but be mean
Or cruel, or oh so it seems
Oh, caroline says, caroline says
She say she doesnt want a man who leans
Still she is my germanic -
- queen
Yeah, shes my queen
The things she does, the things she says
People shouldnt treat others that way
But at first I thought I could take it all
Just like poison in a vial
Hey, she was often very vile
But of course, I thought I could take it all
Caroline says that Im not a man
So shell go get it catch as catch can
Oh, caroline says, yeah, caroline says
Caroline says moments in time
Cant continue to be only mine
Oh, caroline says, yeah, caroline says
She treats me like I am a fool
But to me shes still a german -
- queen, ooohhh, shes my -
- queen, ya ...
Queen, hey baby, shes my queen

Dealt into silence
Dealt into silence
~
I sit and shuffle a deck of cards
Each queen named, a prelude to fate
Momentarily I distract myself enough
To slip into an idyllic peaceful isolation
And what has brought me to this conclusion
That I now turn my back to the world
And seek the confines of solitude
I sit turning each card, counting nothing
For there is nothing in these turns of fate
Each queen I named a sad memory
Of a love I held passed unrequited
The same story, the same bitter ending
Those false promises sound like quotations
Reeling out from liars lips meaningless
And who was there to pick up the pieces
Of the broken heart and weeping soul
The cards are shuffled and dealt
Into silence and solitude

The bus ticket
They meet very often in the bus
But she never talks.
He goes to work from the club
And she goes to a music class.
I saw he scribbles on the bus ticket
And he's a born gambler that everybody knows,
So I imagined that he could have written something like this;
'Am I the Joker in your playing cards
Tell my dear Queen of hearts? '
I feel sorry for her when I came to know that she cannot speak.
Then I wrote few lines on my bus ticket for her.
Are you serious or is it a gamble?
I hide the trump if you give up the spendthrift
And start a new life together.

Queen In The Black
Excuse me please your majesty
I chance this moment nervously
To share with you a fantasy
That I have lived inside of me
And it is so pretty
And it is so fine
Its the kind youd love to last you
Until the end of time
Weve talked of love, weve talked of life
And what would make the world so nice
Weve walked the sand by lovers sea
Ive held your body close to me
And it is so pretty
How Id love to know
For if I had a chance to hold you
Id never let you go
Youre my queen in the black
With your time-stopping body
Queen in the black
With your eyes that hypnotize, girl
Queen in the black
With your voice thats sweet as candy
Queen in the black
Miss ebony, you really turn me on
Theres not a day that passes by
That I dont have you on my mind
If this aint love I have inside
Then my hearts telling me a lie
Cause it feels so special
And it feels so right
And if I could I know Id love you
For the rest of my life
Youre my queen in the black
With your time-stopping body
Queen in the black
With your eyes that hypnotize, girl
Queen in the black
With your voice thats sweet as candy
Queen in the black
With your soft and sexy lips, babe
Queen in the black
I love the way you move your body
Queen in the black
You know you are nothing less than royalty
Queen in the black
Oh, Ill place you on a throne, girl
Queen in the black
Miss ebony, you really turn me on
Queen in the black
With your time-stopping body
Queen in the black
With your eyes that hypnotize, girl
Queen in the black
With your voice thats sweet as candy
Queen in the black
With your valentine smile, girl
Queen in the black
With your soft and sexy lips, babe
Queen in the black
Love the way you move your body
Queen in the black
You know you are nothing less than royalty
Queen in the black
You know Ill place you on a throne, girl

Queen in the black
Miss ebony, you really turn me on
Queen in the black
Miss ebony, you really turn me on

Miss ebony, you really turn me on
Queen in the black
Queen in the black
Queen in the black
Queen in the black, queen in the black
Queen in the black, now
Queen in the black
You know what Im talking about, yeah, yeah

Games
I know youre a gamester
Im the queen of spades
A ruler of hearts
Clash at the moon
I take my trips right from the start
Im a sucker for love
Joker running wild
My heart it can break
Ooh it can break
Frail as a child
Chorus:
Whatever it is, it is
Whatever will be, its gonna be
Whoever you are, you are
But those games that you play
Dont cha playem with me
Youre a visionary dreamer
Fool in a state, takes of chance
Love is a hazard, ooh such a hazard
When you flirt with romance
Its like shootin the dice
Flip a coin in the air
You running on luck
Odds are against you
Youre not playing fair
Chorus
Stacking a deck, dealing the cards
Watch what you take
Standing on love

Once Upon A Lifetime
Once upon a lifetime
I looked in someone's eyes
And felt the fire
Burning in my heart
For the very first time
She was scared and young
And had never tasted love
So I took her by the hand
And a boy became a man
Once upon a lifetime
And once upon a lifetime
You hold the
Queen of Hearts
And if you gamble
On a diamond win
The dealin' starts
You stand to lose it all
As the cards
Begin to fall
And the lesson
Learned is hard
You're only dealt
The Queen of Cards
Once upon a lifetime
So if you're taking chances
