The Vision of a Giant who Migrated from Baja to Tiburon Island
Slender whirlwinds coming from the sky
touch the land.
Sounds of arrows striking the ground
roaring
raising dust clouds.
He shouts, warning of the days of danger.
I stand on the peak of Red Mountain.
He comes toward me
shouting.
My heart is a stone.
I shout, I declare it.

New Day
In heaven the ground is waiting
For the dust
The seed
My love once more
I shout
New day
Hold the air and gasp in life
This solid dance
This cold cold night
Is gone
The dark heat throbs
The fools sweat swims
The hazy light
The deadly sins
Are gone
Crack the stone
Invade my head
Dropping honey dropping dead again
The silence shouts
Across the gap
Another dreaming
Love me again
Shout.

Purity
In the dark tabernacle,
a shaft of sunlight
illumines the heart
and shines through
a million years of dust.
Clouds and clouds of swirling
dust
spiralling
through the light
which spills in a golden pool
on damp, grey stone and iron rust.
When the light moves
it does not take the dust there to it.
When the dust slides into darkness,
the light does not pursue it.
Why then does the heart invent
heart bruising burdens to shoulder?
(Why does the heart consent
to the illusion of growing older?)

The Window Of My Soul
Through the window of my soul
I see that the drought continues
I am walking through a dry and dusty land
And my bones are indeed growing old
I am in the midst of the hottest summer
And the humidity has sapped my soul
I look out upon the horizon of my Spirit
The is not a cloud in sight
I shall stand upon the Holy mountain
And shout out to the Lord my God
I shall dash my idols on the Rock
And declare the wondrous works of the almighty
And from beyond the mountain, a cloud appears
Thick and heavy with the rain
I am totally dependent on the Lord
And I am drenched with His life once again

The Glow In My Eyes Just The Same
It’s the light not to touch might bruise the heart
Glittering drops revealed in pearls
Grasshopper feast for an endless leap
Wind swept caressing beautiful morning
Of coming so close never to return
The beams soft rising rising from hands
It’s the light not to touch might bruise the heart
Might ruin the whole within a song
The final breathing of all the mists
In clouds raising thorns
In clouds growing flowers
Wind swept caressing beautiful morning
Of coming so close never to return.

Daniel Saw The Stone
Oh daniel saw the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Daniel saw the stone that came rolling through babylon
Daniel saw the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Coming down to redeem a mighty world
[repeat above 4 lines]
Well, meet me, jesus, meet me
Meet me in the middle of the air
cause now if these wings should fail me
Lord, I want to hitch on another pair
Oh jesus was the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Jesus was the stone that came rolling through babylon
Jesus was the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Coming down to redeem a mighty world
[repeat above 4 lines]
Oh, well the tree it was bending
Up in the heavenly land
Well, my God spoke unto the holy ghost
He said, come on and lets make man
Im looking for the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Im looking for the stone that came rolling through babylon
Im looking for the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Coming down to redeem a mighty world
[repeat above 4 lines]
Well, now, early in the morning the trumpets gonna sound
The dead and christ is gonna rise
Well, if you aint got good religion
Lord, then hell youll open your eyes
I found that stone that was hewed out the mountain
I found the stone that came rolling through babylon
I found the stone that was hewed out the mountain
Coming down to redeem a mighty world
[repeat above 4 lines]
The main difference between this version and phishs version is that phish only uses the first verse cited here (meet me, jesus, meet me). the other verse that trey sings (the only other verse) is this:
Well, I saw a weary traveler
He was walking on down the road
Well, I saw him later that evening
He was walking on down that road
[followed by the walk, walk, walk... part]

Before and After Having Sex
There's more than sex,
I want from you.
And with you,
There is more than sex...
To do!
Before and after having sex.
There's more than sex,
I want from you.
And with you,
There is more than sex...
To do!
Before and after having sex.
When we walk along the beach...
There is a sweet,
Nectar in the air.
We don't need to touch to please.
Or be detoxed...
By the flow of easy listening.
There's nothing we have missing,
But more of this.
Since with us this love we have is a hit.
After striking out and getting over it!
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
There's more than sex,
I want from you.
And with you,
There is more than sex...
To do!
Before and after having sex.
After mid-day heat.
When the Sun shine starts to blazing.
We sip on lemonaide...
As we welcome the Sunset that comes.
Sitting back and relaxed.
Awaiting something spectacular to be done.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
Since with us this love we have is a hit.
After striking out and getting over it!
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
And when we touch there is more to please.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.
Before and after having sex.

Goin Home
(words & music by byers)
This proud wild land where the wind blows free
Has always been a part of me
Its in my blood, I just cant get it out
For a hundred miles a man can see
And be about as wild as he wants to be
If he feels like shouting all hes gotta do is shout
Where the purple mountains reach up high
And look like theyre gonna touch the sky
Where the canyon walls have stood for a million years
Where the days are hot, the nights are cold
The desert sand looks just like gold
These trails were carved in sweat and blood and tears
Where the painted desert as you pass by
Looks like a rainbow in the sky
The cactus blooms in the early morning sun
Where the nightwings sing and eagles fly
The clouds paint pictures in the sky
The coyotes howl tells you when the day is done
Im coming home, this time Im gonna stay
Im coming home and I aint never goin away
My feet are itching to get back home
Ive had the desert fever since Ive been gone
I need some loving so bad that I cant see
When a woman looks a man in the eye
You know it takes a man to satisfy
Thinking about them girls is killing me
Im going home, going home
Going home, Im going home
Going home, going home
Going home

Danger
There is danger atop our heads;
There is danger around us all;
There is danger beneath our feet;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger in the skies;
There is danger in the seas;
There is danger ev’n on land;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger from earth’s bowels;
There is danger in forests;
There is danger in hills, vales;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger from our brethren;
There is danger from kith, kin;
There is danger from strangers;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger within us;
There is danger from space;
There is danger to our soul;
Nevertheless, God protects us.

A Hand
An ancillary hand was believing in me,
Hope turned to dust, I was crooked;
Yet while I played with danger, and
Danger played with my flame and fire,
The other hand beautifully wept
To see my days and nights as swollen with pride.
This dangling limb encapsulates my sin,
The very dashing object in front of me.
Forming from within, a body casts devils to
The ground where dusts are collected
And raised, unique to the touch, evermore.

How Do You Go Away?
going away may mean what means you use in
going away
a truck where you also leave some dusts for them to remember
as they wipe out their tears and
dust off their feet, or you take a boat
where all the chances of waving your hands after a long story
is told,
when the bells of the boat make the sound of
warning for the well-wishers to take their time out
of the floating moment,
then the loud siren shouts, a boat load of memories taken
a bag ful of hidden resentments
sails aways with you,
or you take the jetplane where some sentiments are
written on air,
clouds not necessarily bursting with joy
as you leave
suddenly, away from them
someone you do not like to see anymore
something you
want discarded from your life: the pain inside your heart
cease, that is your word for going away,
but most of the time you just slam the door
pick yourself, carry what you have not spoken,
and walk away, just like that
never looking back
you only have a handkerchief to comfort you
and you go on with your life
surviving on the salt of your dried tears
the unkind words you keep with you
to support you
for the coming days, you are sad for a while, and then
you are free.

Song. Low hung the dark clouds
LOW hung the dark clouds on Plinlimmon's tall peak,
And slowly, yet surely, the winter drew near;
When Ellen, sweet Ellen, a tear on her cheek,
Exclaimed as we parted, 'In May I'll be here.'
How swiftly I ran up the mountain's steep height,
To catch the last glimpse of an object so dear!
And, when I no longer could keep her in sight,
I thought on her promise,....'In May I'll be here.'
Now gladly I mark from Plinlimmon's tall peak
The low-hanging vapours and clouds disappear,
And climb the rough mountain, thence Ellen to seek,
Repeating her promise....'In May I'll be here.'
But vainly I gaze the wide prospect around,
'T is May, yet no Ellen returning is near:
Oh, when shall I see her! when feel my heart bound,
As sweetly she cries, 'It is May, and I'm here!'

Giant Thunder
Giant Thunder, striking hard
I wonder if anyone's heard
Its not raining hard
But this Thunder is roaring louder
Women, children runing
Helter skelter
Not done yet? This roaring Thunder is shouting even louder
I fright at the sight
I want to join the women
Children running
Even the trees and wind have
Joined in this chaos
Women, children, men, even
Wind, trees running helter skelter
The Thunder never stops striking
And the Cloud, never stops crying.

Wots...Uh The Deal
Heaven said the promised land
Looks allright from where I stand
Cause I'm the man on the outside looking in
Waiting on the first step
Show where the key is kept
Point me down the right line because it's time
To let me in from the cold
Turn my land into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old
Flash the red is wots...uh the deal
Got to make to the next meal
Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel.
Mile after mile
Stone after stone
Turn to speak but you're alone
Million mile from home you're on your own
So let me in from the cold
Turn my land into gold
Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul
And I think I'm growing old
Fly bright by candlelight
Up out of my sight
And if she prefers we will never stir again
Someone said the promised land
And I grabbed it with both hands
Now I'm the man on the inside looking out
Hear me shout 'come on in

Open Mind
The very very deepest sea
Is aptly called complacency.
The very highest mountain peak
Is something that we all should seek.
The flattest part of every land
Is the easiest to understand.
So why adventure? Why reach out?
Why whisper quietly and not shout?
Let's break the dishes and exclaim
I never want each day the same!

A Yonder Thunder
There comes a time in everyone’s life,
just before an approaching storm.
They hear the yonder thunder,
with a warning for them there.
Some of us ignore it;
do what we must do.
Then throw caution to the wind,
to let it blow its scorn.
We stand to look at the thunder,
of the approaching storm.
The sky goes black, the wind howls,
with angry voices there.
We stand tall against the sky,
ready to face the coming foe.
Are we brave or stupid,
or don’t we really know?
The storm passes overhead,
and then the dust settles down.
Are we still standing tall,
or are we cowering on the ground?
We all ask this question,
at the yonder thunder’s call.
Can we face our truths,
or will we be among those cowering on the ground?

Ten Story Love Song
When your heart is black and broken
And you need a helping hand
When you're so much in love
You don't know just how much you can stand
when your questions go unanswered
And the silence is killing you
Take my hand baby I'm your man
I got loving enough for two
Ten storey love song
I built this thing for you
Who can take you higher than twin peak mountain blue?
Oh well

A moment in time! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Summer at peak;
a young man
in a white singlet.
Summer at peak;
a young girl
in short sleeves.
Summer at peak;
A child licks
Ice cream.
Summer at peak;
an infant
On inhaler.
Summer at peak;
A young couple
Cosy in cinema hall seats.
Summer at peak;
A vendor
Sells lime water.
Summer at peak;
Gulmohar petals
lie limp on grass.
Summer at peak;
Dust haze,
Road rage.
Summer at peak;
beads of sweat
slide on lips.
Summer at peak,
Street wars,
Blame it on heat.

Shouting...
i cannot sleep for this constant shouting...
the shouting of trees, the shouting of alleyways,
the shouting of rats crawling through trash.
the shouting of needles and Family Bibles,
the shouting of flags folded and given.
the shouting of machines, abandoned and morose,
the shouting of fields gone barren.
the shouting of poverty ripping color from being,
the shouting of hunger in faces silent.
the shouting of guns loaded and unloaded,
the shouting of clinics, filled without names.
the shouting of prayers wriiten in pavement,
the shouting of rivers filled with sewage.
the shouting of birth, and the shouting of death...
the shouting of love, distant and forgotten.
the shouting of god, in doubt's innumerable forms.
