The Music Exam
I sit outside the exam room, waiting, patiently, for my turn;
Anxiety has, long since, set in, and my stomach is all a-churn.
These music exams, have always been really rather formal,
So, I guess, to get this nervous, is just completely normal.
I enter the exam room, and, having warmed up, I start,
But, all too soon, things, very slightly, begin to fall apart.
For this moment, in my life, I have, relentlessly, rehearsed;
Of the times, I’ve played this piece; this is, by far, the worst.
I’m unable to stop my two hands from, literally, shaking,
And I’m feeling annoyed at the mistakes, I’m now making.
At home, I’ve played this piece, hundreds of times before,
But my fingers just don’t seem to want to work any more.
At my mistakes, I’m now feeling really rather frustrated,
And deep inside, my spirit is now, somewhat, deflated.
At home, feeling relaxed, I played these pieces just fine;
Now my fingers, no longer feel as though they are even mine.
Next up, the examiner asks me to play some scales and chords;
To make too many errors, in this section, I can very ill afford.
But, I hardly falter, and I get all of them, pretty much, right;
I feel extremely relieved, and the end of the exam is in sight.
Finally, I’m presented with a short piece of sight reading;
‘Nothing too difficult’ – in my mind, I’m, silently, pleading.
The examiner thanks me for coming, and I am now free to go.
How well I did, I now have to wait a few more weeks, to know.

The Drama Exam
I sit outside the exam room,
Worrying that I'll forget my lines.
I sit there feeling anxious,
Trying to convince myself it will be just fine.
I can hear the slightly muffled sounds
Of the previous candidate going through their paces.
Sat in the corridor at RADA, on my own,
My mind feels with fear, while my heart madly races.
I've rehearsed these pieces over and over,
So the words I'm hoping that I won't forget.
I've recited them every day for weeks on end,
So, in my mind, they should be firmly set.
Soon enough, it's my chance to shine.
I know I've got to keep my nerves at bay.
I take a deep breath, compose myself, then launch into
'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? '
After my sonnet, I perform my speech.
'If music be the food of love, ' I start to recite.
I'm totally amazed and relieved that, for both pieces,
I manage to get every single word perfectly right!
Next, the examiner sits me back down,
To discuss her expectations for the sight reading test.
With only a few minutes preparation time.
I'll just have to try and do my very best.
With the exam now over,
To the examiner, I bid farewell.
I think I've done okay,
But, I guess, it can be hard to tell.
A few weeks later, I get my result.
I've passed with Merit. I feel great,
And so, that night, I head to the pub,
For a drink to celebrate!

Returning To RADA
I sit in Reception and wait, and wonder
What is going on, as it sounds like thunder.
Up on the first floor, somewhere above my head,
The students are making enough noise to wake the dead.
Across the room, I can hear feet running to and fro,
And the drama students utter loud sounds, as they go.
It’s Saturday, but rehearsal studios are alive wherever I go,
With drama students, honing their skills, in readiness to show.
En route to my exam, I pause upon the first floor,
And, am drawn by sounds, which I just can’t ignore.
A tinkling piano and the sound of singing, is what I hear;
I stand there momentarily, soaking up the atmosphere.
Sitting outside the exam room now and I can hear a cello;
Its sound soaring towards me: deeply resonant and mellow.
The previous candidate emerges from the exam room,
And is living proof that you should never ever assume.
He’s a stocky guy, in his mid forties, with shaven hair;
Not the kind of person I would have expected to see there!
But, then I guess I’m not a typical drama student either;
Just another person, like him, hit by Shakespeare fever!
In the exam, I begin reciting my sonnet and fluff my lines,
So I end up starting the piece again, for a second time.
I’m calmer now and my train of thought is back on track,
And in my concentration, there is now no further lack.
During my second piece, I sit on an imaginary moonlit bank.
This time, thankfully, my mind is clear and doesn’t go blank.
I launch into my final piece and have a right ball,
As the speaker is angry and this is not like me at all!
Where my imaginary target stands, I have a man in mind;
Someone from my life, who I’ve recently left behind.
I would have loved to have shouted at him like this;
I find the moment extremely therapeutic! Pure bliss!
I thoroughly enjoy throwing my two arms around,
And raising my voice; making such a loud sound.
The words are firmly stuck there, within my head,
And, if looks could kill, my victim would be dead!
Through the piece, venting my pent-up anger, I plough,
And, from the examiner, my efforts earn me a ‘wow! ’
With my sight-reading test, I attempt to ‘emotionally invest’,
But with only three minutes to study the piece, I just do my best.
We talk and she tells me that I bring much to the table.
I express self-doubt, but she seems to consider me able.
She expresses hope that I’ll come back to the Academy again.
Next time, it will be my Gold Certificate I’ll be hoping to obtain.
But I wonder how I’ll know, if my standard ever gets that good?
How will I know if I if I shouldn’t attempt it or even if I should?
Next time, there’ll be two examiners watching me,
And I can imagine just how nervous I will, then, be!
I’m just not sure within my self, that I’ll ever be that clever,
But, then again, as the saying often goes, never say never!

A Piece Of You
Im just trying to live this life of mine
The more I look, the more Im blind
And all I ask for is piece of mind
And all I want is a piece of you
Well I lost my way today
Back home from work
The snow fell like dust
I felt like dirt
Happens everytime I start to search
For that long lost piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
It seems the last time I was sure
Of anything
I sold my heart
I wore your ring
But now, the queen has lost her king
All I want is a piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you

Rolling In The Deep
There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out
the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your
ship [shit] bare
See how I leave with every piece of you
Don't underestimate the things that I will
do
There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch
And it's bringing me out the dark
The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had
it all
The scars of your love, they leave me
breathless
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
Baby, I have no story to be told
But I've heard one on you
And I'm gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Make a home down there
As mine sure won't be shared
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love remind me of us
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
They keep me thinking that we almost had
it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
The scars of your love, they leave me
breathless
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
I can't help feeling
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it, to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hand
But you played it, with a beating
Throw your soul through every open door
You'll pay me back in kind and reap just
what you sow (woah)
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
We could have had it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
It all, it all, it all
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it to the beat
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
We could have had it all
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hand
(You're gonna wish you never had met me)
But you played it
You played it
You played it
You played it to the beat.

Can't Stop
I Can't Stop [Controversy Music]

I can't stop this feeling I got
I feel it right down to my toes
I can't stop this feeling I got
My body want you don't you know
I can't stop this feeling I got
It's running all down my leg
I can't stop this feeling I got
Why you wanna make me beg
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
I can't stop this feeling I got
You know I can't sleep at night
I can't stop you know I love you a lot
I never want you out of my sight
I can't stop this feeling I got

Summer Nights
Oh, how I hate these hot summer nights,
When a good night's sleep is far from sight.
Lying on my bed, I constantly toss and turn,
While the air around me continuously burns.
My window is slightly ajar to let in some air;
I wonder if I'd be slightly cooler downstairs.
I have rolled down my blanket and my sheet,
But despite doing all this, I still feel the heat.
I watch the clock and the time ticks on by,
But, I just can't sleep, however hard I try.
Feeling restless in the middle of the night,
I climb out of bed and switch on the light.
Feeling so far away from the Land Of Nod,
I sit reading a book and then I play my iPod.
I'm having a bad night, and am not impressed:
I didn't sleep much last night, and need my rest.
As the night draws on, slightly cooler air arrives,
But, by this time, the clock has just struck five.
I hear the little birds singing out at dawn,
And it is only then that I give a big yawn.
My eyelids feel heavy and begin to close,
And, after sleepless hours, I begin to doze.
Finally, I fall asleep: inside my soul feels calm,
But a short time later, I'm woken by the alarm.
By now, my room is flooded by brilliant sunlight;
But I want to stay in bed, with my eyes shut tight.
I feel like I'm almost dead, rather than refreshed;
I certainly don't feel anywhere near my very best.
I don't have much energy: I've no get up and go,
And when I do get up, my movements are slow.
I wish that the temperature at night would dip,
Then I could finally get some much needed kip.

A Few Easy Pieces
Piece of this
piece of that
Peace and bliss,
Piece of crap
Peace of mind,
Piece of cake,
piece of work
Piece of steak,
Piece of eight
Piece of the action
Piece of the pie
Peace and satisfaction
Piece in the valley
Piece of glass
piece of my mind
Piece of a….
That’s quite enough now! ! !

Let’s stop while we’re ahead…

No Looking Back
Writers: leo sayer & tom snow
When theres no more looking back
And you feel youve loved in vain
You try and hide your sorrow
Now youre alone again
So you block out your emotion
Laugh it off and carry on
Sayin why do I have to feel this way
Was loving you so wrong
If I could only turn around
One more time for old times sake
Id pick up all the pieces
From the mistakes I made
Did I give myself completely
Or did I hang on for too long
Ah, but whats the use of me talking this way
Now that youre gone
No looking back, its over now
All over now
I tell myself Im glad
Its over now
All over now
Its over now
But if I ever love again
Oh, I wont be played a fool
Ill put in my performance
This time Ill know the moves
Its not that Im feeling bitter
Ive no bitterness to show
And all Im really trying to say
Is that I wish Id never let you go

My Feverish Brow
Restless, angry with myself, doing stupid things
while waiting for the French exam, so excited to
write a real exam at last and what do I do with
this chance - grow tense and confused, cannot
concentrate to revise again, telling myself this is
bad behaviour does not help, feet freezing in the
icy air-con which cools my feverish brow, the long
wait leads to a tension headache and I wish that
I could calm down, wish I could feel better and
study with more self-confidence…

What A Feeling
Nows the time when this will turn to fruit
All the poppies gonna push up through
And I can see the ground below
The places that I know, disappearing
And I can see the winter fade
I dont feel so afraid its clearing
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
Life is only half way in our hands
Years have passed while I was making plans
And I could never find the words
I always felt absurd, and always outside
But now I know I shouldnt care
Theres a song already there
Waiting inside
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
And I can feel the crock unwind
The parts of me I tied are running
And all the birds are in my head
The laughter that was dead is coming
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
Oh, what a feeling
The laughter that was dead is coming
Oh, what a feeling
The laughter that was dead is coming

Set To Catch A Lover
Has it been that long,
Since I shared that space.
That place I kept sacred,
After gluing back the pieces...
I allowed to become defaced.
I hated to have my heart broken,
By someone I gave it to blindly.
I thought I was safe.
To later learn I participated in a game played.
Feeling trapped without an escape.
Has it been that long,
Since I shared that space.
That place I kept sacred,
To be played with a falling down again...
Upon my face.
Today,
Have I turned my mistakes into treasures I protect?
Am I willing to be touched with a stripping completely naked.
To feel a naïveté another does not expect,
Me to feel or suspect.
Can I accept a love I give,
Not to be returned to me at all?
Or should I fall to be found crawling,
To appear helpless with a need to be released...
From a trap I've set to catch a lover.

The Falling
Sitting in the darkness of my room
i cant wait to talk to you
to hear about your day
and to tell you of mine
i know you love me
but some times it hurts
you feel so distant never as befor
all the nights we spend together
wanting more
when im beside you i feel like im home
but when your not here i feel so alone
i wonder what your thinking
all the bleeding and the fighting is all part of it
but no matter how bad it gets im never letting you go
i made a promise and im keeping it
never letting us slip through my fingers
because the feeling of love lingers
as butterflys fill me stomach every time your around
and when i hear your voice the moste beautiful sound

Come On And Get A Big Piece
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You thought had gone wrong.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
I can no longer make excuses for me.
I can no longer be that,
Tragedy!
Hey...
I can't,
Stay safe...
Knowing without you,
I'm all alone.
I stay,
Awake...
Wondering,
Who's now in your home...
Playing 'Daddy'.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You thought had gone wrong.
Come on and get a big piece.
A bigger than a big big piece.
Is there anything for me, boo?
Do you mind if I boo hoo too?
Come on and get a big piece.
A bigger than a big big piece.
Come on and get a big piece of love,
My love...
You had thought had gone.

Cant Stop This Feeling I Got
Dear dad,
Things didnt turn out quite like I wanted them 2
Sometimes I feel like Im gonna explode
Everybody wanna see u down 4 the count
But that aint what being a real mans about
The brave and the bold hang around 4 the kill
So the bigger the hole, the bigger we fill it (fill it!)
They can hit us with all they got
But cha know what?
What?
I cant stop this feeling I got
I feel it right down 2 my toes
I cant stop this feeling I got
My body got 2 have it u know
I cant stop this feeling I got
Ill write a letter to the whole world
I cant stop this feeling I got
Every man, woman, boy and girl
Cant stop this feeling I got, I cant stop this feeling I got
I cant stop this feeling I got, I cant stop this feeling I got
I cant stop this feeling I got
U know I cant sleep at night
I cant stop, u know I love it a lot,
Im talking about an everlasting light.
I cant stop this feeling I got
I get to shaking all in my shoes
I cant stop this feeling I got
The doctor say theres nothing that he can do
Cant stop this feeling I got, cant stop this feeling I got
I cant stop this feeling I got, cant stop this feeling I got
Keep on singing now
Cant stop. try 2 tell me how 2 paint my palace,
That aint where its at,
Thats like trying 2 tell columbus that the world is flat.
If the song were singing truely is the best
Then that my brothers is the ultimate test
All in favor say aye.
We can change anything at all.
I, i, I cant stop. cant stop.
Im in a butt kicking mood tonight yall
Cant stop. cant stop.
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
Cant stop this feeling I got
(no, no, no, no)
Feeling, feeling, feeling, hey!
Hey, pardon me 4 living, (pardon me 4 living)
But this is my world, (this is my world)
U cant make me change (u cant make me change)
Maybe we all got to rearrange (rearrange)
Our brains (our brains)
Yeah. only we can change the world
Only we can change the world
Only we can change the world
1, 2, 1, 2, 3
I cant stop this feeling I got
I cant stop this feeling I got
I cant stop this feeling I got
Feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, yeah!
Yeah!

My Lovers Box
My lovers charms
Are in a box
Beneath my bed
And piece by piece
Ill cherish them
Until the end
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven
They burn my hands
Scar my face
And blind my eyes
Ill steal your breath
And throw away
What I despise
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven
Between these walls
And darkened halls
Ive done my time
If I should die
Before I wake
Then youll know why
Send me an angel to love
I need to feel a little piece of heaven
Send me an angel to love
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven, piece by piece
Send me an angel to love, piece by piece
I need to feel a little piece of heaven, piece by piece
Send me an angel to love, piece by piece
Im afraid Ill never get to heaven, piece by piece
Piece by piece
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel
Piece by piece, send me an angel

Accept Me For Who I Truely Am
when will ppl start to accept me,
for who i am,
instead of who i pretend to be at times,
when are they going to see,
this is not all of me,
all that meet the eye,
there is more of me,
good and bad,
you can't just choose what you like,
and expect me to be alright,
i have feeling like everybody else,
i want to be accepted for my past,
not to feel like i have cooties,
my past is not completely who i am,
it just apart of me,
yes it makes me afraid to do things,
but it doesn't not mean,
i can't work towards them,
to make them better,
so i don't get controlled by it,
it not like i am damage goods,
just waiting to be recycled,
i didn't have a choice,
why don't ppl see that?
my innocents was taken,
along with my trust,
it the reason i do have problems trusting,
but it don't mean i won't get past it,
it just means i have to try alittle bit harder,
all i need is that one person by my side,
at least walking through it with me,
than with time it will get better,
it will become easier to do,
what i want to do so freely,
without it feeling like a punishment,
i wait for the day this can be me,
not being afraid to express myself sexually,
without play backs running through my mind,
telling me i don't deserve to be treated right,
i'm human just like everybody,
i deserve to start getting treated right,
and how i want to be treated,
without fear of feeling like i did,
something wrong to begin with.

Love Door
You want all my lovin'.
But just pieces I get.
Just a piece to treat me.
You want my lovin'.
But a tease you give me.
A piece you think will treat and please.
I...I,
Don't like it that way.
No.
I...I,
Can't stop it when you start.
Feeling like a dope,
On a rope choked.
And I...I,
Try to fight it,
But I'm hooked.
With a tail you wag...
You like to see mine,
Hang and drag.
I...I
Don't like it!
I...I
Can't fight it or try.
You know I want more...
But my needs you ignore.
You want all my lovin'.
But just pieces I get.
And,
I...I
Don't like it!
I...I
Can't fight it or try.
You know I want more...
But the teasing of the piece that treats you keep
To weaken me,
Is kept in my mind...
Behind your love door!
And,
I...I
Don't like it!
I...I
Can't fight it or try.
The piece that treats you keep to weaken me...
With teases,
Is behind your love door.
You know I want what's more,
Behind your love door.

Forever Mine
The room is dark, all alone am I.
Sitting here thinking of times gone by.
Remembering the past, the way things were.
A different time, when so much was unsure.
During these times, you came to my life.
Bringing happiness and laughter and love into sight.
Never such a feeling had I felt before.
Every moment spent with you, just left me wanting more.
More glances and stares, from your eyes so bright.
Eyes that see deep in my soul, making everything alright.
Wanting more kisses, from your soft lips so sweet.
Lips that make my legs weak and my heart skip a beat.
Wanting more time spent in your loving embrace.
Arms so strong and gentle, such a safe, loving place.
Wanting your warm touch, as you caress all of me.
Such a sensual feeling, setting my body so free.
Here we are, so many years more.
Not much has changed, I just want you even more.
Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for you.
Every morning I think that our love is like new.
A new beginning. A fresh new start.
A new day to tell you what's deep in my heart.
You've made me feel loved, wanted and adored.
No one could possibly ever love me more.
And now here we are, loving each other from a far.
Waiting for the day, to awake in your arms.
To look upon your face, and deep in your eyes.
Knowing we'll never have to say our good byes.
Until that day comes just know this is true,
Everything I have to give, I have given to you.
I give you my heart, soul, body and mind.
And dream of the day you'll forever be mine.

Love And Anger
it lay buried here
it lay deep inside me
it's so deep I don't think that I can speak about it
it could take me all my life
but it would only take a moment to
tell you what I'm feeling
but I don't know if I'm ready yet
you come waltzing into this room
like you're walking into my arms
what would I do without you?
CHORUS
take away the love and the anger
and the little piece of hope holding us together
looking for a moment that'll never happen
living in the gap between past and future
take away the stone and the timber
and a little piece of rope won't hold it together
if you can't tell your sister
if you can't tell a priest
cause it's so deep you don't think
that you can speak about it to anyone
can you tell it to your heart?
can you find it in your heart
to let go of these feelings
like a bell to a southerly wind
we could be like two strings beating
speaking in sympathy
what would we do without you?
two strings speak in sympathy
(what would we do without you?)
CHORUS
you might not think so now
but just you wait and see
(someone will come to help you

When I married, I have trust
When I married, I have hope
When I married, I have life
When I married, I have love
When I married, I have respect
When I married, I have honor
When I divorced, all are gone
By leaving me in hell
Until I am divorced
I don’t know the value of marriage
Now life is broken glass
Spread the pieces across the road
Nobody wants to step on it
Trying to fix the feelings
But they are always going back to the time
It is the pain between present and past
Struggling to move to future
Divorce is the evil
It killed my glorious memories
Stuck up in the present and
Stumbling into future
Whom to blame in this game
This is the game of blames
This is the game of failure
This the game no one wins
Don’t try to play it for fun
It is difficult to accept the defeat
I learnt about forgiveness
Now there is no one left to forgive
Forgiving my self for all my faults
I want the love
I want the hope
I want the respect
I want the honor
These are the things
No one gives freely
We need to give it first
Definitely it will come back fast
The more you give
The more you get
How can I marry again?
If you lost a leg
You can walk with artificial leg
If you lost sight
You can see with glasses
But if you lost your heart
It is difficult to marry again.
Marriage and divorce
How many times we can enter this loop
The more you play
The heart becomes more brittle
Life becomes sick
Difficult to feel
The feeling of decisiveness
No fun in counting
After completion of game
Who cheated whom?
How many times?
It is better to play Marriage game
When we play continuous,
We have opportunity to improve ourselves
Don’t stop the game in between
To count your mistakes
As long as you play there are no winners
The moment you stop, both are losers
Marriage is a game, which never ends
I love my spouse
Whom I left once
If I am not loving,
Why am I thinking?
We are planning to start
The marriage game once again
Divorce is a quarrel
Settled by God as referee
This time we decided
Not to stop it until we die.
