Reflections
I sometimes have cyrstal clear reflections of you
The things you would often say,
or the actions you would do
I can still hear the songs you use to sing also
hum too
These are just a few of the ways
that Iam reminded of you
You often informed me,
That a new beginning would come
You also said that only when the people really
Demanded change, then it would be done
I have so many reflections that are filled with just simple fun,
of games we played that you also won.
These vivid reflections symbolizes hope
They serve as healing when I really need it most.

An antique ornament
Reflections in an antique ornament
Of lights of green and reds
Of silver tinsel, candy canes
Distorted reflections of children’s heads
Reflections in a kitty cat’s eyes
Of red and green, and mischievous delight
In the feline notion of newfound highs
Of a tree he’ll scale tonight
Reflections of brightly wrapped presents
Piled atop folds of faux-snow cotton
Of pine needles shedding amber essence
Creating memories ne’er to be forgotten
Reflections of a time worn sofa
Reflections of a husband and wife
Reflecting on that antique ornament
And the antique ornament…reflecting life

That Face
I see a face that face is mine
The mirror marks the changing time
Her face Ill never see again
And mine will never be the same
That face was fine only yesterday
My problems seemed so far away
Reflections I see of myself
As in sickness as in health
As she left as for worse
No chance to re-rehearse
Try to forget try not to see
Who is that face looking at me
Reflections of yesterday
If only I could make you stay
One day past is like a year
She wouldnt say what made her leave
I didnt think shed ever go
And why she did Ill never know
I wish I could return and see
But now its just a memory
Reflections of yesterday
Reflections of yesterday
I see a face that face is mine
The mirror marks the changing time
Her face Ill never see again
And mine will never be the same
Reflections of yesterday
Reflections of yesterday

Reflections
Through the mirror of my mind
Time after time
I see reflections of you and me
Reflections of the way life used to be
Reflections of the love you took from me
I'm all alone now
No love to shield me
Trapped in a world that's
a distorted reality.
Happiness you took from me
and left me alone
with only memories.
Through the mirror of my mind
Through these tears that I'm crying
Reflects the hurt I can't control
Cause although you're gone
I keep holding on
to the happy times
ooh when you were mine
AS I peer out through the window
of lost time
Looking over my yesteryear
And all this love I gave all in vain
(all the love) All the love I've wasted
(all those tears) All the tears that I've tasted
(ooh ,ooh) All in vain
(all in vain , till nothing remains)
Through the hollow of my tears
I see a dream that's lost
From the hurt
That you have caused
Everywhere I turn
seems like everything I see
Reflects the love that used to be
In you I put all my faith and trust
and right before my eyes my world has turned to dust
After all those nights I sat alone and wept
Just a hand full of promises and all that's left of loving you
Reflections of
the way life used to be
Reflections of
the love you took from me
in you I put all my faith and trust
right before my eyes my world was turned to dust

Your mind is like water in a pond
Observe the water in a pond
Keep it still and particles will sediment to ground
Only then the surface becomes transparent and clear
Our reflections we can view without a blur
When wind blows and creates waves on the surface
Those sediments will be stirred up and make the water opaque
Then the water surface is no longer transparent and clear
And our reflections in it will become just blurs
Our mind is like water in that pond
Only when still and calm it can be clear and strong
If we let external forces disturb our still and calm mind
By those things we will be controlled and beguiled.

Merciless Reflections
O mirror, bring back what I was yesterday
Or how I looked long ago,
My past reflections can’t you show?
You don’t store my past inside
My smallest wrinkles you don’t hide
You create and relish my depressions
And mock me with your merciless reflections!

The Poetic Experience
writing for me is like hammering
a nail... you keep pounding till
it's driven. what i have tried
to do, in collusion with others,
is to amass a body of work that
celebrates the human in human
beings... with all its pain,
suffering, turmoil, and all the
trials, the human experience is
still the eternal experience...
the only hope for humanity to
survive lies in turning inward.
until we know ourselves, we can
never have the god experience,
and can never truly interact with
others, can never even see others,
much less know them! we are mere
reflections of each other, mere
reflections of god... the sameness
that lies below our differences
is both deep, and wide!

In The Museum
Quite something it was to see
how in the museum, around the famous image
by Monet, the poet of waters, running and still,
the Master of Givenchy, painter of green-running rivers,
yellow arches of bridges, wands of yellow willows
trailing their tips in the water's depths;
star-flowers sitting squarely a-squat flat pads
stems cork-screwing down into the water's velvety dark
above eel-grass undulant in swales below the current's jade,
shadows and reflections everywhere, mystery compounding,
shadows and glints of color there and here
the outcome and culmination of time spent
in the shrewd, impassive, life-long observance of Nature-
observance being essentially an act of worship-
taking time and reams of patience to begin to refine;
reflections that hint at the mind of the Creator,
reflections that make for the highest end of living,
reflections that poultrice the insult of living itself,
unburdened by any cloying bourgeois 'should'-
water, air.....

With Doubt
My mind is often filled with doubt
about who I really am.
I know my name and what I be,
but really who am I?
Some say this and some say that,
they are only reflections
of who I really want to be.
My lack of confidence in myself
leaves me lagging behind everyone else
and my mind filled with doubt
about whom I really am.
Dark clouds descend around my head,
no clear sky do I see
and mind is filled with doubt
which disguise is really me.
Will my mind clear one day
and reveal the truth to me
or will I face life with doubt
of who I really be.

Customs and convictions change; respectable people are the last to know, or to admit, the change, and the ones most offended by fresh reflections of the facts in the mirror of art.

Gone With The Wind
Thick wick, once bright, as night advances,
must lose life's fight as circumstances
combine to trick the tick of fate
as rates of change accelerate.
No time remains for backward glances,
complaints, regrets for wasted chances,
no scope to circumnavigate
goal sinking shoals as love and hate
capsize together as askance is
cast what once insatiate
appeared - now all beneath the weight
of Time's vows bows, its poisoned lances...
Reflections on reflections cast
Upon time's mirror overcast.

The Sun's Last Ray
Upon the blue mountain I stood,
Upon the mountain as he sank into the Rivers of Night:
The camps of the clouds in the heavens were shining with evening fires, many-colored,
And the pools on the plain below gleamed with many reflections:
All things were made precious with the Day's last ray.
Farewell, my Father, the Shining One!
Farewell, whither thou goest,
Like an aged chieftain adorned with the splendors of many deeds!
Thou dost touch the world with many reflections,
With parting injunctions many -
Thy thought thou hast given us.

Raindrops sunshowers
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And i'm just trying to
Walk with you
Between the raindrops
I send my echo out
To get your love without
Obscured reflections of
My love
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And i'm just trying to
Walk with you
Between the raindrops
I'll save a prayer for you
So lost and longing to
Be dragged thru dirty streets
Wrapped up in clean white sheets
And if you think they'll watch you now
You should know they won't
Rain falls on everyone
The same old rain
And i'm just trying to
Walk with you
Between the raindrops
And i'm just trying to
Walk with you between the raindrops
I send my echo out
To get your love without
Obscured reflections of
Of my secret love
Force down the words about
To get your love without
Obscured reflections of my love
And i'm just trying to talk to you between the raindrops

Burning Your Letters By The Shallow Shores
Burning your letters by the shallow shores
Where we once sat watching reflections of night
Of faraway glimmers on a slow winding river
Where the quietude would play on words so bright
Where our eyes were lost in each others quest
Where resonated in reticence echoes of our silences
When our hands clasped to explore each others fate
Where the song filled breeze caressed our soul
There shake gales of wind, now lies an eerie howl
There the shore now lay barren, the river gone parched
The reflections we mused now erased by a cloak
The letters I then poured now become ash and smoke
Burning your letters by the shallow shores

Indian Reflections
The tiger waded further on,
He had some place to go,
Somewhere to be, where sunlight shone,
So bright as if aglow!
Not here, while waters gently stream,
Reflections here and there,
Confusing him, as in some dream,
That caught him unaware...
The river's mud stirred up and swirled,
Reflections came and went,
Such that he strode a worried world,
His time there almost spent...
While bubbles surfaced now and then
To pop and disappear!
Such wonders were beyond his ken,
The kind he needn't fear...
The tiger looked back one last time,
Content that he must leave,
Although at first it felt sublime,
He saw no cause to grieve...
The river would be here next week,
Upon his glad return!
For now, his feet dry land would seek...
His legend he must earn!

Reflections
Reflections of your love
Have come to wither
I thought i'd done my best to memorize
A picture fades of you and i together
I haven't come to terms
With how we said goodbye
Did you really care
Care for me at all
Did you really care
Did you care for me at all
A displaced little girl
Wept years in silence
And whispered wishes you'd materialize
She pressed on night and day
To keep on living
And tried to many ways
To keep her soul alive
Did you really care
Care enough for me
Did you really care
Did you care at all for me
If i'm not quite good enough
Or somehow undeserving of
A mother's love
You could have had the decency
To give me up
Before you gave me life
Don't you even care
Just the slightest bit for me
Cause i really need to feel you cared
Even once upon a time for me
I need to believe, in my heart of hearts, you care for me
I need to understand
Why you left me there so helplessly
Don't you even care
Care at all for me
Reflections of your love
Have come to wither
I thought i'd done my best to memorize

Reflections on Reflections Play
Poets finger frequencies chromatic
which few imagine, fuse into our days,
highlight dross in unexpected ways
turn common hieroglyphs to gold syllabic.
Poets tune to wavelengths which, harmonic,
impressions fleeting turn to interplays
outside Time transformed, for image stays
as fly in amber, glowing, flowing, tonic
despite enchroaching Time’s invasion chronic.
Reflections on reflections play. Relays,
found unbound, may colour in life’s greys,
unpick the spirit’s drawbridge lock symbolic,
depict emotions which, with rainbow tint,
may move, may pain remove, and joy imprint....
