On A Proposed Crematory
When a fair bridge is builded o'er the gulf
Between two cities, some ambitious fool,
Hot for distinction, pleads for earliest leave
To push his clumsy feet upon the span,
That men in after years may single him,
Saying: 'Behold the fool who first went o'er!'
So be it when, as now the promise is,
Next summer sees the edifice complete
Which some do name a crematorium,
Within the vantage of whose greater maw's
Quicker digestion we shall cheat the worm
And circumvent the handed mole who loves,
With tunnel, adit, drift and roomy stope,
To mine our mortal parts in all their dips
And spurs and angles. Let the fool stand forth
To link his name with this fair enterprise,
As first decarcassed by the flame. And if
With rival greedings for the fiery fame
They push in clamoring multitudes, or if
With unaccustomed modesty they all
Hold off, being something loth to qualify,
Let me select the fittest for the rite.
By heaven! I'll make so warrantable, wise
And excellent censure of their true deserts,
And such a searching canvass of their claims,
That none shall bait the ballot. I'll spread my choice
Upon the main and general of those
Who, moved of holy impulse, pulpit-born,
Protested 'twere a sacrilege to burn
God's gracious images, designed to rot,
And bellowed for the right of way for each
Distempered carrion through the water pipes.
With such a sturdy, boisterous exclaim
They did discharge themselves from their own throats
Against the splintered gates of audience
'Twere wholesomer to take them in at mouth
Than ear. These shall burn first: their ignible
And seasoned substances-trunks, legs and arms,
Blent indistinguishable in a mass,
Like winter-woven serpents in a pit
None vantaged of his fellow-fools in point
Of precedence, and all alive-shall serve
As fueling to fervor the retort
For after cineration of true men.

Fool Button
Fool button
By: jimmy buffett
1978
I woke up in a strange room
Id never seen before
Weird paintins on the walls
Mirrors on the ceiling
I bolted for the door
Lookin for my rentacar
Was the cordoba blue or red
Tryin to remember where I put the keys
Tryin to remember what I said
Chorus:
I pushed the fool button
My night went haywire
I pushed the fool button
Set my brain on fire
Now I was sittin in the corner of a very laid back bar
A little three piece band playin on the stand
Not knowin what lay in store
In a flash a man with a hat and a harmonica stormed the stage
The crowd went berserk, the band said what a jerk
As he went into a blues rampage
Chorus:
It was a fool palace
Double knit on parade
They pushed the fool button
As the skinny boy played and played
Push it, push it, push it
Try to make a point of protectin the innocent
But none of them can be found
It can happen anytime
Happen anyplace
It can happen in your own home town
If you dont believe my words
Or think my storys true
Get a bottle of rum and a eskatrol
And watch the same thing happen to you
Chorus:
Well push the fool button
Ill meet you in the bar
Well push the fool button
Where everyones a star
(jimmy pushed the fool button)
(he pushed it like a fool, bubba)
(pushin like a fool)
(pushed the button like a fool)
(pushed the fool button)
(pushed it like a fool)
(pushed the button like a fool)

The Very Last Time
Sometimes I wonder if Im still alive
How much abuse can someone stand and survive
How long Ive waited for this day to arrive
When I wont be a fool no more
Nobody knows how you push me around
Nobody sees how you treat me like Im your clown
I never made a sound
Its the very last time you will get on my case
Its the very last time cause
I wont be a fool no more
Its the very last time you will step on my face
Its the very last time cause
I wont be a fool no more
I still remember the look in your eyes
Just a reflection of the things you despise
But sooner or later Ive got to get wise
And I wont be a fool no more
Nobody sees how you treat me like dirt
Nobody knows just how badly a man can hurt
Youve got a lesson to learn
I can still feel the sting of your words
But I wont cry no matter how much it hurts
My head may go crazy, my heart it may burst
But I wont be a fool no more
No I wont be a fool no more

Fool Like You
I hear you breathing though youre so far away
Can you just go where youre going to
I couldnt give a damn or two about a fool like you
Thats true
Are you just too cool no youre just perfectly cold
And what goes around still comes around
I think its all summed up and down in a fool like you
Thats true
Today is just another day
You hold your ticket into nowhere
Its up to you if you will stay
And turn your day into a nightmare
You think you know it you think you know it all
But you dont even have a clue
And conrtol is still in view for a fool like you
Thats true
Is there a reason for the way that you are
Or does it just come natuarally
To have an idiosyncrasy and be a fool like you
Thats true
Youre hearing what you want to hear
Misunderstanding all you see
An attitude in all of us
Is it really you and me
Hes hiding residing deep within the crowd
A hand out hell pull you down
Youve been found guilty committed every crime
But still they say you must go free
Looks like haunted I will be by a fool like you fool like you
Thats true
By a fool like you by a fool like you
Looks like haunted I will be by a fool like you
Thats true
By a fool like you by a fool like you
Looks like you by a fool like you
Looks like haunted I will be by a fool like you
Thats true

I Was A Fool (To Let You Go)
Music: Barry Manilow
Lyrics: Marty Panzer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After I've had my last cigarette
When the night is as black as the night's gonna get
Well, I'm still wide awake cause I still can't forget
I was a fool to let you go
And after I've closed the bar with the boys
Tho I can't stand the drinks and I can't stand the noise
When I know I'll be back 'cause there's no other choice
I know I was a fool to let you go
I was a fool to think
That I could sleep a wink
In this big empty bed by myself
And I was a fool to wait
Until it was too late
To tell you just how I felt
And after I've been with somebody new
And she knows what to say
Ah but not what to do
Then I know what I've lost and I know it's so true
I know I was a fool to let you go
And after I've been with somebody new
And she knows what to say
Ah but not what to do
Then I know what I've lost and I know it's so true
When I see what it cost and what I'm goin' thru
I know I was a fool
I was a fool to let you go

Don't Wanna Be Again The Fool
Do you need someone...
To hug,
And sweep your heart away?
Do you need someone...
To love,
And...
Say true love will stay?
You know you do,
Don't you?
You know you do!
You know that's true...
For the fools.
Do you need someone...
To hold,
And be your number one?
Do you need someone...
Who's told,
More love is yet to come?
You know you do,
Don't you?
You know you do!
You know that's true...
For the fools.
You know you do.
You just know that's true.
But you,
Don't wanna play again
The fool.
You know you do.
You just know that's true.
But you,
Don't wanna be...
Again,
The fool.
Do you need someone...
To love,
And...
Say true love will stay?
You know you do.
You just know that's true.
But you,
Don't wanna be...
Again,
The fool.
You know you do!
You feel it too!
But you...
Don't wanna be again the fool!
Don't wanna be again,
The fool!
And be played against...
Your rules.

Th Monkey Island....
have more time,
push, like waves on the sea
tickle the legs of the shore
find its pelvic bone
and worship it
like you're a monk for 100 years
still searching
for perfection,
time is like the sands of the shore
can you eat all of them?
have time, drink it and believe in its miracles
be impossible,
swallow the earth
and be that rumored monster
that swallowed the moon
be the impossible
have more time
and be someone else
ah, they will all believe you
and then put you
the first number
and you fool yourself
with all these elation
fool to fool, you create a link
a theater, that it, have peace
congratulate yourself
it is all these craze
to be popular...in that island
where you are king
and the rest of the monkeys
always say yes....

I Know One (feat. Emmylou Harris)
When all your loves have ended
When all your friends have flown
Who'll be around to want you
When all your loves have gone
Only a fool would do it
After the way you've done
But how many fools would have you I know one
This fool keeps wonderin' why
He fell in love at all
But you might need this fool
Around in case you fall
After the party's over
And you've had your fill of fun
If you need a fool to forgive you I know one
You never know, you might be lonely
When all your loves have missed
It wouldn't hurt to keep an extra
Fool on your list.
After your heart's been broken
And you need a place to run
If you'll take a fool who loves you
I know one
I know one
I know one

Heaven Only Knows
(paul kennerley)
Every night its the same
I feel your heart turn cold as rain
And know that youll be gone again
I hear the front door close
You say you got to go downtown
I guess theres someone else youve found
So why youre still coming round
Heaven only knows
Heaven only knows just why loving you should make me cry
Make me feel like I could die
Thats the way it goes
Heaven only ever sees
How loves made a fool of me
I guess thats how its meant to be but
Heaven only knows
Ive heard it said that talk is cheap
But still your words they cut so deep
Lay me crying in my sleep
And the pain just grows
I dont know whos right or wrong
But all we had is dead and gone
So why you keep me hanging on
Heaven only knows
Heaven only knows just why loving you should make me cry
Make me feel like I could die
Thats the way it goes
Heaven only ever sees
How loves made a fool of me
I guess thats how its meant to be but
Heaven only knows
Im going to turn and walk away
Theres nothing left for me to say
It wouldnt change things anyway
Though, I suppose
The love I gave was always true
Well, I dont know what else to do
And how Ill ever get over you
Heaven only knows
Heaven only knows just why loving you should make me cry
Make me feel like I could die
Thats the way it goes
Heaven only ever sees
How loves made a fool of me
I guess thats how its meant to be but
Heaven only knows

The Altar
Alone, remote, nor witting where I went,
I found an altar builded in a dream—
A fiery place, whereof there was a gleam
So swift, so searching, and so eloquent
Of upward promise, that love’s murmur, blent
With sorrow’s warning, gave but a supreme
Unending impulse to that human stream
Whose flood was all for the flame’s fury bent.
Alas! I said,—the world is in the wrong.
But the same quenchless fever of unrest
That thrilled the foremost of that martyred throng
Thrilled me, and I awoke … and was the same
Bewildered insect plunging for the flame
That burns, and must burn somehow for the best.

Any Other Fool
(dianne warren)
I couldnt see paradise right before my eyes
When I had you here by my side
I didnt know that no-one else
Could ever take your place
But, now I know
I know that I should have stayed
And seeing you tonight
I only wonder why
I ever said goodbye
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Any other fool would know I never
Should have let you go
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me, oh, ahh, oh
Anyone else never would have let the feeling die
Anyone else would have fought to keep it alive
If they were in my shoes
Theyd know the love we had
Was love too good to lose
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Oh, any other fool would know
I never should have let you go
I had it all when you were loving me
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me, oh, oh, oh
I had it all when you were loving me
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Oh, any other fool would know
Never should have let you go
Had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me
Oh, oh, oh
Even a fool would still be there holding you

I never should have let you go

Im A Fool To Want You
(f. sinatra/j. herron/j. wolf)
Im a fool to want you, Im a fool to want you
To want a love that cant be true, a love thats there for others too
Im a fool to hold you, such a fool to hold you
To seek a kiss not mine alone, to share a kiss the devil has known
Time and time again I said Id leave you
Time and time again I went away
And then would come a time when I would need you
And once again these words Id have to say
Take me back, I love you, pity me, I need you
I know its wrong, it must be wrong
But right or wrong I cant get along without you
Hmmmm, Im a fool to want you
You hurt me time and time again
But I still love you babe
Im a fool, Im your fool

Burn That Bridge
Burn that bridge
By: jimmy buffett, michael utley, will jennings
1984
Im not sayin Im scareda you
But your kinda love is somethin new
When I hold you were swayin in the wind
Of all the bridges Ive ever crossed
High and lonesome and wild and lost
I feel this time Ill take it to the end
We dont care what the people may say
If theres a price its the price well pay
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
We both done our share of runnin around
So we know enough to know the kind of love weve found
Its the real thing and weve got to see it through
Im a singer and a sailor on a midnight sea
(oh captain come and take me on your fantasy)
If were crazy that aint nothin new
cause we dont care what the people may say
If theres a price its the price well pay
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Who knows how it started
Who knows it end
The point of no return is waiting
Just around the bend
Chorus:
And well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Chorus:
Yes well burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to it
Burn that bridge when we come to
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down
Burn it down

Fool For Your Love
Writers: leo sayer & michael omartian
Oo, but love was just so hard to find
Until you came along into my life
Then I thought I would lose my mind
When you said that you wanted to be mine
And ever since that day Ive been hooked
And nothin could turn me away
This livin with yous like a dream come true
And it grows more and more every day
Oo, Im reachin the highest of highs
Every time I look in your eyes
Ask how I feel I can say it out loud
I feel like a million inside
I never thought this could happen to me
You got me just where you want me baby
For your love I would do anything
Every night Im a fool for your love yeah
Im a fool for your love
Im a fool for your love
Im a fool for your love
Hey Im just a fool for your love
Drivin home from this sleepy old town
When my days work is all through
The sun and the lights
Well I wish I could fly just to get back faster to you
I waited all day by the telephone
Starin at the clock on the wall
The hours are so long when youre free from my arms
And I just cant wait to hold you
Im a fool for your love
Im a fool for your love
Im a fool for your love
Hey Im just a fool for your love
Oo, youre givin me chills up my spine
Im feelin so fine goin out of my mind
Then and I dont care if it never stops
Ill love you right up until I drop
You know Im a fool for your love
Im a fool for your love
Im just a fool for your love
Im just a fool for your love
Im just a fool for your love
Im just a fool for your love

The Fool
Act not as per fundamental rule
is an act of a fool,
Like on a summer sunny day
wearing heavy cloth of wool.
Fool, a doer of mistakes
to make unwise annoy or laugh.
The fool can not understand
easily whatever is taught.
It's foolish to laugh on mistakes
and keep apathy.
The wise try to rectify the wrongs
having sympathy.
Can we ingnore contribution of fools
to the world of entertainment,
All the jokers, comedians
replicate their deeds for amusement.
A fool is not a fool always,
fool can too turn wise somewhere.
Kalidas, foolish in his boyhood
became a great poet and writer.
There are people of the school
without irritating they keep cool,
mend or correct mistakes, thinking,
after all it's God who made the fool.

Belexes
Oh, I cannot tell you to make up your mind
And gather together the best of your kind
The prophets have spoken the words of ill fate
Your childhood has ended you've taken the bait
You've got the power it's there deep inside
Just look around and you'll know what you've tried
So much relies on the course that you take
The fool and the wise man both burn at the stake-ah
Look at the heads buried deep in the sand
Hiding from evil made by their own hand
The prophets have spoken the words of ill fate
Your childhood has ended you've taken the bait
You've got the power it's there deep inside
Just look around and you'll know what you've tried
So much relies on the course that you take

Maybe Im A Fool
(rap intro by derick johnson)
Dangerous lover
With the blue-green eyes
Slides into the room
Hes got trouble on his mind
Maybe youre misunderstood
So come and lie here by my side
cause your love it hurts so good
Every time, every time
Maybe Im a fool for loving you
Maybe Im a fool
Maybe Im a fool for wanting you
Maybe Im a fool
But loves so hard to find
I keep searching every time
Foolish words spoken
Forgotten in the night
When the sun meets the ocean
I wanna be here by your side
Let me give you all those things
That money just cant buy
cause your love it hurts so good
Dont ask me why, dont ask me why
Maybe Im a fool for loving you
Maybe Im a fool
Maybe Im a fool for wanting you
Maybe Im a fool
Maybe Im a fool, but I love you baby, baby...
(rap by derick johnson)
(I keep searching everytime)
Maybe Im a fool
Maybe Im a fool
Baby youre misunderstood
So come and lie here by my side
Cause your love it hurts so good
Dont ask me why, just dont ask me why
Maybe Im a fool for loving you
Maybe Im a fool, Im a fool, Im a fool, yeah
Maybe Im a fool for wanting you
Maybe Im a fool, Im a fool for your loving
Right now
Loves so hard to find
I keep searching every time
All the time, all the time
Cause I cant live without you
Cant live without you
Maybe maybe baby Im a fool for your loving (repeat until end)
