Consolation
Little's the good to sit and grieve
Because the serpent tempted Eve.
Better to wipe your eyes and take
A club and go out and kill a snake.
What do you gain by cursing Nick
For playing her such a scurvy trick?
Better go out and some villain find
Who serves the devil, and beat him blind.
But if you prefer, as I suspect,
To philosophize, why, then, reflect:
If the cunning rascal upon the limb
Hadn't tempted her she'd have tempted him.

He that labours is tempted by one devil; he that is idle is tempted by a thousand.
Halfway through any work, one is often tempted to go off on a tangent. Once you have yielded, you will be tempted to yield again and again... Finally, you would only produce something hybrid.

The great temptation
A sudden increase of pulse rate,
The unusual and uncalculated reaction,
A mystified set of uncertain emotion,
Seeing her moving across the junction,
My mind in stale and dysfunction,
It approached, the great temptation
She walked like a cherubic queen,
Her face so pure and fine,
I could imagine,
I lost focus and beacame immune,
Am I dreaming or otherwise,
It approached, the great temptation
I was tempted to talk,
Tempted to touch,
Tempted to hold,
Tempted to kiss,
The great temptation
By undefined means I overcame,
She was pure yet I overcame,
The realisation of a man,
It was the great temptation

Here Comes Temptation
(written by kostas)
When I see you Im drawn to you
Theres a certain look in yours eyes
Its hard to say no to this feeling
No matter how hard I try
Catch me if Im falling to you
Catch me if Im breaking away
Oh Im looking at paradise
Oh Im looking at paradise
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you
Here comes temptation
Tempted to get close to you
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you
If you were to know my secret
I wouldnt feel so shy
Sometimes I think you can see it
Its something I cant hide
All youd have to do is touch me
And all my resistance would melt away
Oh Im looking at paradise
Oh Im looking at paradise
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you
Here comes temptation
Tempted to get close to you
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you
Ill have to wait until my chance comes by
I know that you will be mine
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you
Here comes temptation
Tempted to get close to you
Here comes temptation
Tempting me with you

Infidelity
A woman up to her middle age
Is tempted by men elder to her.
She emboldened herself to stupefy
Lads, after her forty plus.
A man up to his early manhood
Is tempted by women of his age.
Having crossed his middle age,
Man is wicked enough to hook lass.
Infidelity raises its head
At any stage of either sex
As an epitome of lust
In all, who are potent.

Reveries of an Imaginary Landscape No.17 - Awaiting Purple Rain
Purple, hundreds of purples
flowering, blooming, ripe
spreading in effervescence
The sandy earth waiting
for little drops of purple drifting down
and slowly blanketing the terrain
The darkening petals dancing to the lightest tune
tempted, ever tempted to jump
never to return

Should We!
Should we feel tempted?
Wait for not but attempted
As it will give test of defeat or victory
Then to have win or worry
It is same story we repeat all the time
We are all human sand err sometimes
So long nature is there we may remain same
No one is there for solely to blame
Should we feel carried away?
There is only one way
Know that something bad is done
Ask for real reprieve and to be forgiven
The Holy Spirit will guide
Keep you within limit and confide
For you are to be taken care of every time
As you will be tempted all the times
Not all may find the same experience
Their crucial phase may at variance
Those who seek to be pardoned
May really had it and gets condoned

A woman of thirty is not tempted by the devil.
He that is busy is tempted but by one devil, he that is idle by a legion.
Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time there was an Eden,
woa
Once upon a time Adam and Eve,
A ...fell in love
Um...they fell in love
Like you and I
Like you and I
Once upon a time there was Delilah,
um
Once upon a time the devil and she
A...tempted man
Oh yes...a tempted man.
A..just like you
Are tempting me
Once upon a time
I knew just what to do
But that was long before
I met you, yes,
Once upon a time
I knew just what to do
But now I've fallen in love
Oh yes, I've fallen in love with you.

A Serving They Wish To Dismiss
If we did not have a yesterday....
Would it be tomorrow we now live?
To say that today...
What we could have done then,
With a doing more today...
To have our way as lived?
Could anyone honestly say or admit,
To a living with disappointment...
'If',
We knew those seeds planted grew...
Today?
Those 'ands',
With their 'ifs' to 'but'...
Crops up in memories,
Too much.
And dreams and wishes do come true,
To be fulfilled.
They do!
'But'...
A wanting more to add onto those dreams,
We don't give up.
There is a wanting of more stuff.
With an allowing of disappointment.
People can't be teased or tempted,
Enough.
No!
People want to be kept real pleased...
With a doing away of the rough.
For more fluff.
To puff and strut with a flaunting.
People can't be teased or tempted,
Enough.
No!
To want and choose to validate...
What was eatened,
They ate.
People can't be teased or tempted,
Enough.
No!
To compromise on their licking of sugar,
To appreciate what it takes...
With a serving done on their plates.
And delivered as is wished.
People can't be teased or tempted,
Enough.
No!
To want and choose to validate...
What was eatened,
They ate.
Baited to order and made...
For them,
To suit their whims...
With a eating,
Of everything given as wished...
On their plates,
Today!
And...
Refuse,
A serving they wish to dismiss...
Ordered yesterday.
Yes,
And...
Refuse,
A serving they wish to dismiss...
Ordered yesterday.
And just,
Too confused...
To recognize what they had ordered,
And wished...
From their yesterdays.

Blaming The Snake
Adam said it was the fault of Eve.
Eve blamed that serpent snake.
The snake tried blaming everyone else
No leg to stand on, he was a fake.
“Put some clothes on now my son.”
Nudist Adam said “Huh, no fun! ”
Eve came along wearing a grass skirt,
Made of fig leaves, clay and dirt.
Plucked from the garden to now pull weeds,
Forever kept away to work sweaty hard deeds.
Pain and suffering to be the way of life,
But worst of all was the curse to die!
Had that woman not tempted her man,
Adam might have stayed in Eden then.
Surely God would have created a new wife,
And Adam could have lived a very peaceful life.
But that thought is too simple and I lend my voice,
Remembering both partners were given a choice.
Do not blame the snake in the tempter’s lair,
You must do what’s right, no matter who is there!

When My Wife Quarrels With Me
when she steps upon the Gaza
and prepares her rockets and shells
fully dressed for a war
on for a real killing
and desire for an all fight,
globalized war
and annihilation
of my own
kind,
i run away and hide in the original
paradise where Adam remembers
how first she was tempted by
Eve together with that Snake
with a very sweet apple
that now sticks
inside his
Throat,
when she follows me
all ready for an all out war
i open my arms, raise them for a sure surrender
kneel before her and kiss her feet
and then i go for the real kill
in paradise i shall make love with her
as the Snake watches and
smothers its slimy body
with that suicidal Envy.

Man’s menopause
Are tiny letters dim to read?
Is wife looking like a sister?
Are you tempted to seduce one?
Do you prefer your hand to wife?
You have got to man-menopause.

Married is more tempting
Marital status is a physical barrier.
Yet, adultery is rampant.
Yes, marital status serves as lever;
More tempted are the married.
