Good-bye, I’m leaving you where you belong…
Only your reflection in mirror you see, while
I wander through the forest in fear alone,
So absorbed are you in your self …
You can’t see me soaking in my spume
Now I leave you alone in your own
I’m also saying goodbye to your flattering face:
Self –aggrandizement, warped self-worth, and
Other unknown things your base
In tears and a sadden heart, alone
I leave you in your own place
Good-bye to the love we’ve shared
I know it’s my life alone I must face
Too, I’m left by the riverbank nearby
a cabin in the woods by a stream
of clear water to drink in your face.
Instead, I listen to early birds awakening the day
Instead, I rest in this scared place in the cool breeze
Then…and only then, I feel safe in my abode
Lessen from the tug of “Look at me”
I see you can’t see beyond you…for once
Strive to see me stretched beneath the sky
Looking at the stars blinking hi
My question is: why, why, why
Nature without deceit or conceit gives cause
For me to sigh!

Im gonna clear my head
Im gonna drink that sun
The saddest sight my eyes can see
Is that big ball of orange sinking slyly down the trees
Sittin in a broken circle while you rest upon my knee
This perfect moment will soon be leaving me
Suzanne calls from boston the coffees hot the corn is high
And that same sun that warms your heart will suck the good earth dry
With everything its opposite enough to keep you crying

Dream Of The Unknown
I dream of mostly nothing,
A deep black emptiness in space of infinate time.
But there is no time, there is nothing.
I see nothing, I touch nothing.
Am I even here? Do I exist? Where am I?
I'm not anywhere, just darkness all around.
I don't hear anything at all. I don't smell anything.
What kind of dream is this? This dream of the unknown.
It is not a dream. I'm not here, I am nothing.
Dreams are filled with things beyond imagination,
Filled with good things and bad things, but not this.
I am not happy nor am I sad...But I am scared.
Why am I scared? There is nothing here.
I am trembling but I don't feel a thing.
I'm not here, I am nothing just like this darkness.
But I am in fear in this dream of the unknown.
If it's a dream at all. Am I dead? Is that my fear?
If I'm dead, where is the afterlife? Were they right?
I see nothing, I feel nothing, I am nothing.
Fear is the only thing I know in this dream.
But why? If nothing is wrong, why is everything dark?
Why can't I dream? Why am I nothing with nothing around?
No time, no feeling, no sense. Just nothing.
Lost in this forsaken world, this dream of the unknown.
Suddenly, I'm crying. I feel tears stream down my face.
I feel my heart racing. I hear myself choke back cries.
But everything is still dark, everything is still nothing.
I don't understand. What is happening to me?
My eyes open, I'm in my bed. Face buried in my pillow.
I am still crying, I am still scared...I don't know why.

Blank Generation
I was saying let me out of here before I was even born
Its such a gamble when you get a face
Its fascinatin to observe what the mirror does
But when I dine its for the wall that I set a place
I belong to the blank generation and
I can take it or leave it each time

He was a cartoon long forsaken by the public eye

Good Bye
The morning after we said our final good bye
What I remember is a single tear from your eye
Today it hit me that I can't call you anymore
To tell you how my day was and it's you I adore
Please know that when you left you took pieces of me
And my life will never be the same I guarantee
I had to leave you - because it's me I had to save
I know I acted like a coward and I am not very brave
Please understand that I love you more than anybody ever will
But I'm too afraid that things one day go downhill
I want to remember you just the way we were before
And not face what the future has for us in store
My love for you is so consuming and almost unreal
And I know that for me only you are the real deal
But I can't face the possibility of you leaving me one day
So I had to leave first and be gone and far away
In my heart I will keep my love for you going strong
And no one will ever know that I keep you with me - lifelong
Today I want to stay right here in my bed and think of you
Once more envision our love and think of your point of view
Right now I will cry and loose all my tears over night
And tomorrow I will smile to the world and act all right
Because of you I'll have to wear a mask for the rest of my life
I wish that I would be stronger and become your wife
No other man will ever know or even assume
That I abandoned true love right here in this room
The other guy will be happy with your left over and only a shell
For - I have already given my heart away and wished it farewell

The Same Mother
They each shared
the same mother
shared the same loss of her
when the time came
gave the same
last wave
when she was
driven off
to crematorium
and then grave
but each had
their own mother
whom they shared
with no other
one with whom
they shared
a particular time
or place
sitting quietly
face to face
sharing a secret
or confessing
a deed done
or just
the mother to child meeting
with just the two
at some given time
at some particular place
some given year
to share a problem
or tears or anxieties
or deeper fears
and knowing
she would listen
as only mother's can
or do
sharing the time and love
with each particular
person called you
whether daughter or son
she shared
her equal love and time
and yet each knew her
each thought
they knew her best
and carried away
their own best times
in her company
without the rest
their own moments shared
but deep down
they knew
she had her love for each
and each was equal
to the rest
for she never had
a favourite
nor considered
any one the best
so they all shared
the same mother
in the end
all grieved her going
each in their own way
hoping or believing
they would share her
once again
some better place
some future day.

The One Who Loved Nature
She fed the wild birds in the park every day
The one who loved Nature with Nature now lay
She knew every wild creature by it's call or it's song
To the Lovers Of Nature Group she did belong.
She was never a mother or to any man never a wife
And to Nature 'twould seem she devoted her life
For all of Nature's creatures she had empathy
And she was anti natural habitat destruction and anti cruelty.
She fought for the right to life of every bush and tree
Nature never did have many friends good as she
In her early eighties in her sleep she died
Her value as a person cannot be denied.
From anti development protests her's is a missed face
And as a friend of Nature none to take her place
'Twould seem from life she had a painless release
And the one who loved Nature may she rest in peace.
