Batalha
IN this still cloister where the roses grow
Waist-high between the arches and the well,
You would have walked a thousand years ago,
So faithful, who are now so infidel;
You would have fancied your wild heart's emotion
Over the beauty of a scene like this,
A mystic piety, a pure devotion
And so, perhaps, it is.
Under the shade of column and of tracing,
Here in the dusk, where swallows dart and fly,
Barefoot and cowled, I think I see you pacing,
Brooding o'er thoughts of subtle mystery;
Fasting and prayer, and music and desire
Weaving a mood that men no longer know -
Oh, yes, my dear, you would have been a friar,
A thousand years ago.

O Do Not Forsake Me (Demo)
O, do not forsake me, my indolent friends
O, do not forsake me for you know I must spend
All my darkest hours talking like this
For I am one thousand years old
One thousand years old
Sure you think that's old
ONe thousand years old, but what do you know?
In my darkest hour I'm talking like this
For I am one thousand years old
Oh, some have forgotten the flower of speech
And walks through the garden where
I go to defent misbegotten notions while talking like this
For I am one thousand years old
One thousand years old
Sure, I'd say that's old
ONe thousand years old, but what do I know?
In your darkest hour, my indolent friends, we'll be one thousand years old

A Thousand Thoughts Of You
(s. gallop, u. minucci)
A thousand thoughts of you
Will haunt me ever after
The music of your laughter
Will serenade my heart.
A thousand thoughts of you
Will roam the night and find me
With chains of love, theyll bind me
To dreams that wont depart.
Your face,
Your smile,
The moonlight in your hair
Your lips,
Your eyes,
Ill see them everywhere.
A thousand kisses, too
Will keep me reminiscing
For therell be no dismissing
A thousand thoughts of you.
~interlude~
A thousand kisses, too
Will keep me reminiscing
For therell be no dismissing
A thousand thoughts of you.

Soul song: Is This Farewell, Or Simply Au Revoir?
'Soul' – you’ve stood your ground now
for many thousand years; even when
they said God’s dead – and lightning did not strike..
you’ve held our hopes of heaven; even when
we ceased to know just where they were
no longer sky and blue and white and grey,
in thunder and in innocence;
and kept our thoughts of death and life,
filed ‘To Whom It May Concern’;
you have two lodgings still: within
church doors; at graveside; and at prayer;
more of a signpost: ‘Keep to
the public path’, than certain destination;
and still living in that music’s ecstasy
that stirs the feet and lets the heart burst forth…
but now? as God and heaven hide their face
because we cease to look their way,
have you drawn up that lovely silken veil
across your face; that Indian face
that knows its ‘soul’ as servant of the Self;
has known it now for full ten thousand years?
or do you lurk now in laboratories
of cranial research, brain-scan; and
consulting rooms of cognitive research;
to walk in, smile and laugh and say
oh did you miss me? …
or do you whisper in the present ear
of writers on The Power of Now?
Or one day soon, will you reveal
you were, before the Holy Spirit was?
Tomorrow, Soul, how shall I say your name
in silent prayer? in mind beyond all words?
Love needs no name in presence evermore; so,
'Soul' – is this farewell? or simply, au revoir?

A Thousand Years
Day after day, I feel myself slowing down, what does it mean?
The air has changed, its getting harder to breathe, or so it would seem
Sail me away to a distant shore, where everythings fine
Chorus:
A thousand years, lost in the blink of an eye
If the sky keeps fallin, the world will come tumblin down
In a thousand years
Tell me my friend, can you imagine a place free of boundaries and lies
Theres blood on the wind and its come all of the way from faraway skies
Take me away to a different world where everythings fine
Chorus
A thousand years, one day for every life
Just keep on going, well find you a home underground, in a thousand years
(instrumental break)
Sail me away to a distant shore, where everythings fine
Chorus
A thousand years, one day for every life
Just keep on going, well find you a home underground, in a thousand years

Siren Song
Ever faithful I endure
To listen for the sound of the siren song
Ragged whispers of imprisoned sisters
Cutting through real life drawing me nearer
The colour of the pure in soul
Like water shall fill the cloudless sky
Try to feel the splendour of it all
Embrace the honesty of nightfall
Try to feel the anguish of it all
Wrap yourself up
In every facet of emotion
Hearts that cry diamond tears
Spirits that walk for a thousand years
Hear them calling on that darkest morning
Pulling me under, my thoughts disappear
Can you feel love
Can you feel joy
Can you feel pain

deep in my heart i know God
deep in my heart
i know God as a friend
waiting for me
in the valleys and plains
for a thousand years
he was called Master
by the slaves and he
did not answer
for another thousand
years he is called the
Creator by his creatures
he did not listen
for another thousand years
he is called the Father
of his sons and he did not mind
until then when you call him
Your friend, your peer, your partner
did he look upon you and smile
and in this understanding
God has come, patting you on your shoulder
welcoming you to sit as a friend
on his table to take his glass
and drink the wine of eternity

Your Smile... Ill Walk A Thousand Miles...
If only you would smile for a little while…
I’ll walk a thousand miles..
Just to see your smile…
I’ll do anything to make you smile just for a while…
Will you smile? ? ?
When your feeling blue…
Give me a clue…
When I see your smile… it reaches inside me for a thousand miles…
When I feel like there’s a thousand knifes inside…
I just remember your smile…
It can mend a thousand times…
Walking a thousand miles just to see you smile
Is soo worth my wild…
Your smile is not wild…
It’s so mild…
Your smile is soo free…
Its easy to see…
Makes my day worthwhile…
Smile for a while…
Hearts will get near…
Words will be dear…
Your smile melts an angry heart…
Such a gentle smile…
Soo just remember to smile…
And ill come from a thousand miles…

Dear Motherland Of France
DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF FRANCE
Our Motherland, dear Motherland,
The source of beauty and of Art,
Who but thy children understand
The love which permeates each heart!
We see, through rainbow-tints of tears,
Thy glory of a thousand years.
O country of the Great and Free,
We live for thee, we live for thee,
Dear Motherland of France.
O Motherland, both blithe and brave,
What magic lies in thy name-France!
Yet can thy radiant mien be grave,
And stern thy ever-smiling glance.
And when thy sons and daughters know
That enemies would lay thee low
And dim thy fame on land and sea,
We fight for thee, we fight for thee,
Dear Motherland of France.
Dear Motherland of joy and mirth,
Dear Motherland of faith divine,
A thousand years the wondering earth
Has seen thy star in splendour shine.
Still shall it see that star of France
Its splendour and its light enhance.
Dear Motherland, when it need be
We die for thee, we die for thee,
Dear Motherland of France.

Love Her Beauty
How I love her beauty,
When I knew of such existence,
I searched for ever for her beauty,
Her existence lead me to another
World, another life, when I look up
At the stars the spirit of Picasso
Creates the vision of her beauty
Among the stars, I yearn to look
Upon her beauty for a blink of an
Eye is Hundreds of years, eternity
Between heart beats, a thousand
Sunsets and a thousand full moons
Pass and my search is forever.

Atheists are more.
Before two thousand years,
Who prayed to the Son of God?
Before three thousand years,
Who prayed to Ram and Krishna?
Before five thousand years,
Who prayed to god at all?
Atheists outnumber
If the whole ancestry is taken.

Song of a Thousand Years
Lift up your eyes desponding freemen!
Fling to the winds your needless fears!
He who unfurl'd your beauteous banner,
Says it shall wave a thousand years!
"A thousand years!" my own Columbia!
'Tis the glad day so long foretold!
'Tis the glad morn whose early twilight
Washington saw in times of old.
What if the clouds, one little moment,
Hide the blue sky where morn appears --
When the bright sun, that tints them crimson,
Rises to shine a thousand years?
Tell the great world those bless-ed tidings!
Yes, and be sure the bondman hears;
Tell the oppress'd of ev'ry nation,
Jubilee lasts a thousand years!
Fearless foes, beyond the ocean!
Little we heed your threat'ning sneers;
Little will they -- our children's children --
When you are gone a thousand years.
Rebels at home! go hide your faces --
Weep for your crimes with bitter tears;
_You_ could not bind the blessed daylight,
Though you should strive a thousand years.
Back to your dens, ye secret traitors!
Down to your own degraded spheres!
Ere the first blaze of dazzling sunshine
Shortens your lives a thousand years.
Haste thee along, this glorious Noonday!
Oh, for the eyes of ancient seers!
Oh, for the faith of Him who reckons
Each of his days a thousand years.

Song XVIII. - Imitated from the French
Yes, these are the scenes where with Iris I stray'd,
But short was her sway for so lovely a maid!
In the bloom of her youth to a cloister she run,
In the bloom of her graces too fair for a nun!
Ill-grounded, no doubt, a devotion must prove,
So fatal to beauty, so killing to love!
Yes, these are the meadows, the shrubs, and the plains,
Once the scene of my pleasures, the scene of my pains;
How many soft moments I spent in this grove!
How fair was my nymph! and how fervent my love!
Be still though, my Heart! thine emotion give o'er;
Remember, the season of love is no more.
With her how I stray'd amid fountains and bowers
Or loiter'd behind, and collected the flowers!
Then breathless with ardour my fair one pursued,
And to think with what kindness my garland she view'd!
But be still, my fond Heart! this emotion give o'er;
Fain wouldst thou forget thou must love her no more.

One
One thousand voices
But not one heard
One thousand thoughts
But not one word
One thousand troubles
But no one will know it
Unless I decide to
Finally show it
One thousand cuts
Run down my arm
A tribute to my
Life of self-harm
One thousand scars
That will not heal
One thousand people
Who will not feel
One thousand but no more
I finally decide
There will be one less person
And one more suicide

1. The Stair
the quietness of the
setting sun is haunting
the hurried chirp of
the returning swallows
echoing round the school
evokes a forlorness this
evening chill works to thicken
those flighty years have
come back like swallows
to roost, each echoing
a pain, a joy, a tear, a
smile, a hug, a kiss, a loss
each step of this stair
spins a tale, walks me up
a time warp of yearnings
and disillusions
the stair where a thousand
dreams were spun and another
thousand trailed the wind

Estoy Aqui - I Am Here
I'm Here
I know you aren't coming back
everything we got time left it behind
I know you aren't bringing back what we spent together
it wouldn't never repeat again
A thousand years won?t be enough
to erase you and forget
And now I'm here trying to convert
cities from countries
mixing sky with sea
i know I let you run away
I know I lost you
nothing is gonna be the same
A thousand years can be reach so I can forgive
chorus:
I'm here, loving you
drawning myself
between pictures and notebooks
between things and memories
that i can't understand
I'm turning crazy
changing feet for my face
this night for day
and there's nothing i can do
The letters i wrote i never sent them away
you wouldn't want to know about me
I can't understand
how fool i was
is a matter of faith and time
A thousand years with others a thousand years more
Are enough to love
Chorus
If you still think some of me
you know I'm still waiting for you
Chorus

From liverpool
To tokyo,
What a way to go.
From distant lands,
One woman, one man,
Let the four winds blow.
Three thousand miles over the ocean.
Three thousand light-years
From the land of the rising sun.
Love has opened my eyes,
Love has blown right through.
Wherever you are, (wherever you are)
You are here. (you are here)
Wherever you are, (wherever you are)
You are here. (you are here)
Three thousand miles over the ocean.
Three thousand light-years
From the land of surprising sun.
Well, now east is east
And west is west,
The twain shall meet.
East is west and west is east,
Let it be complete.
Three thousand miles over the ocean.
Three thousand light-years
From the land of the morning star.

She Walked Barefoot...
she walked barefoot,
across them factory floors,
down that gravel road,
across the yard,
and into that old house.
she walked barefoot,
across them kitchen floors,
down that long hallway,
across the floor to the bed.
she walked barefoot,
between them garden rows,
out in the fields,
down through the pines
to the creek.
she walked barefoot,
down them hospital halls,
down the aisles of the church,
out in the cementary
to the grave...
she walked barefoot,
into the arms of eternity,
and i'd give all i am
to wash her feet
with my tears!

You Were The Last High
I am alone
But adored
By a hundred thousand more
Then I said
When you were the last
Then I have known love
Like a whore
From at least ten thousand more
Then I swore
When you were the last
When you were the last high
High
High
High
You were awake
And I should have stayed
But I wandered
I was only out for a day
Out for a day
It was Chicago
For a moment
And then
It was
Paris and London
For a few
Days
Now I am alone
But adored
By a hundred thousand more
Then I swore
When you were the last
When you were the last high
High
High
High
And you were the last high
High
High
High
I was the first
To have spoken
And I said
Just about
All the things
You shouldn't say
So maybe you loved me
But now
Maybe you don't
And
Maybe you'll call me
Maybe you won't
Oh
So I am alone
But adored
By a hundred thousand more
Then I said
When you were the last
And I have known love
Like a whore
From at least ten thousand more
Then I swore
When you were the last
When you were the last high
High
High
High
And you were the last high
High
High
High
