Alfred Lord Tennyson

Milton (Alcaics)

O mighty-mouth'd inventor of harmonies,
O skill'd to sing of Time or Eternity,
God-gifted organ-voice of England,
Milton, a name to resound for ages;
Whose Titan angels, Gabriel, Abdiel,
Starr'd from Jehovah's gorgeous armouries,
Tower, as the deep-domed empyrean
Rings to the roar of an angel onset--
Me rather all that bowery loneliness,
The brooks of Eden mazily murmuring,
And bloom profuse and cedar arches
Charm, as a wanderer out in ocean,
Where some refulgent sunset of India
Streams o'er a rich ambrosial ocean isle,
And crimson-hued the stately palm-woods
Whisper in odorous heights of even.

The ocean is all about a distance!

Milton

with apologies to Lord Tennyson

O swallow-tailed purveyor of college sprees,
O skilled to please the student fraternity,
Most honoured publican of Scotland,
Milton, a name to adorn the Cross Keys;
Whose chosen waiters, Samuel, Archibald,
Helped by the boots and marker at billiards,
Wait, as the smoke-filled, crowded chamber
Rings to the roar of a Gaelic chorus—
Me rather all those temperance hostelries,
The soda siphon fizzily murmuring,
And lime fruit juice and seltzer water
Charm, as a wanderer out in South Street,
Where some recruiting, eager Blue-Ribbonites
Spied me afar and caught by the Post Office,
And crimson-nosed the latest convert
Fastened the odious badge upon me.

Ocean Blue

Well you took me home
And you took me back
But deep down inside
The feeling just died and i
Couldnt see why
From indigo to royal blue
I travel far but no one will do
Anytime, anyplace
Every shape every face
Brings memories of you
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue - ocean blue
Fair weather friends might drift away
When summer ends and skies burn grey
So I walk to the ocean
Pilot these shores
Just thinking of you
Its time we kissed the clouds goodbye
From now on its strictly blue sky
Come rain and shine
The outlook is still fine
Im thinking of you
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue - ocean blue
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue, ocean blue
Ocean blue, ocean blue
Ocean blue, ocean blue
Ocean blue, ocean ocean
Ocean, ocean
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue
Blue to be blue
To be blue
Ocean blue - ocean blue
I stand at the head of the queue
Theres mutinys every crew
Wishin and wonderin bout you
Ocean blue

Sky Blue

You have a blue sky mouth
my cloud breath savors it
settling deep into your ocean lungs
to feel it rising up and up like tiny boats
and float directly into my red hot furnace mouth.

I can feel your flowers bloom
seconds after I had planted them
deep into my loam.
You are the river running
down to my ocean deep
again
and
again.

My Earth
smiles
and I sip
sweetly of your
juices
as does the humming bird
my heart beating 250 times a second.

Deep Deep Ocean

I heard you call my name
Why do you sit in silence
When theres a whole world waiting
Between these islands
I lay my love down to make you this bridge
But when the tide runs out
Im still at the waters edge
Theres a deep deep ocean
I want to find out what you hide inside of that
Deep deep ocean
Whats it take for you to be satisfied
You walk alone at night
So secretive and quiet
I hear the roar of your heartbeat
So why do you deny it
Hold me and show me my love cant be wrong
And Ill be swept away
By the storm beneath your calm
Theres a deep deep ocean
I want to find out what you hide inside of that
Deep deep ocean
Whats it take for you to be satisfied
If you keep holdin back emotion
One of us might drown in this deep deep ocean
Whats it gonna take
Whats it gonna be
When you gonna break and open up to me

Ocean

Oh! Deep Wide Ocean
You fill my black eyes in blue
Oh! little waves who drive you
touching the shores beautifully fall back into
and confluence in you!

Big whales and little golden fishes
swim and sweep in you merrily
and I am on shore with endless joy
jump dance and sing
the friendly dophin unbelievable with humour
so high they jump and plunge in you!

How did the colour you reflect with
much delight beautiful bow in the sky
who painted above you
A jealous in me burn and plunge myself in you!

Oh! big ocean who reign you
you are filled with joy and blessed lives
All in you enjoying the freedom
slaveless life May God bless me
I born in you and confluence in you!
Oh! Ocean you are always gifted
you are blessed by thee you are big and wide
Oh! Ocean you are deep and wide! .......

Ocean Song

Sing a little song,
Just an itty bitty ditty,
About the rolling boom
Of the ocean’s lull and gloom.

Sing a little song,
Hum a simple tune,
That reminds you of the sea
And all that she may be.

Sing a little song,
Tap an unknown beat,
To sway the stars above
And steal the ocean from her love.

Sing a little song,
A sweeter melody.
Let’s coax the waves to shore -
Inspiring new lore.

Sing a little song,
Create some fancy notes,
That tempt the moon to land,
And we’ll dance on golden sand.

Sing a little song,
Drum an unheard rhythm,
About the sea’s unending keen
And all that she has seen.

Sing a little song,
A peaceful lullaby,
That speaks of pleasant ages
And soothes the ocean’s rages.

Art And Nature

THE BRIDGE BETWEEN CLIFTON AND LEIGH WOODS.

Frown ever opposite, the angel cried,
Who, with an earthquake's might and giant hand,
Severed these riven rocks, and bade them stand
Severed for ever! The vast ocean-tide,
Leaving its roar without at his command,
Shrank, and beneath the woods through the green land
Went gently murmuring on, so to deride
The frowning barriers that its force defied!
But Art, high o'er the trailing smoke below
Of sea-bound steamer, on yon summit's head
Sat musing; and where scarce a wandering crow
Sailed o'er the chasm, in thought a highway led;
Conquering, as by an arrow from a bow,
The scene's lone Genius by her elfin-thread.

I've Come Down to the Ocean

I've come down to the ocean;
The ocean great and wide,
Of pure blue span
And soft white sand
And the beach's crashing tide.

I've come down to the ocean;
The sea so black and queer
Of lightless dark
And fiercest shark,
Where even fearless fear.

I've come down to the ocean;
The waters I can't grasp,
Of strangest deep,
And sunless sleep,
Where the breathing may not gasp.

I've come down to the ocean;
To sing its sea-spray song,
Of salty brine
And waves that shine
Before I've been too long.

The Ambrosial

Verily I'm a drop
of the ocean of nectar.
Shunning the ocean I had risen up
in the firmament afar.
Coming down now
I've joined the ambrosial flow
and towards the ocean
ahead I'm in motion.
If I evaporate therein
on the way by the heat of sin,
in the form of dew later on
I'll descend below.
With the nectarean immortal flow,
I'll mingle in the ocean.

Your Like A Ocean

Your eyes are like a ocean,
Your hiar is the waves that lift the ocean,
Your heart is the core of the animal ocean that feels it up with love for the lovely ocean
Your ful of emotion for your own ocean
Your smile just lights the ocean
By the night it calm and quite even the oceans getting so bright by the day and soul is quite
You will be mine tonight
Me and you can sit by the ocean and you are so close to a ocean as I can get and I love you just like a ocean me and you toghether and the ocean's flour will be your blanket for you.

Sabrina

Isle of the ocean, say, whence comest thou?
The smoke thy dark throne, and the blaze round thy brow;
The voice of the earthquake proclaims thee abroad,
And the deep, at thy coming, rolls darkly and loud.

From the breast of the ocean, the bed of the wave,
Thou hast burst into being, hast sprung from the grave;
A stranger, wild, gloomy, yet terribly bright,
Thou art clothed with the darkness, yet crowned with the light.

Thou comest in flames, thou hast risen in fire;
The wave is thy pillow, the tempest thy choir;
They will lull thee to sleep on the ocean's broad breast,
A slumb'ring volcano, an earthquake at rest.

Thou hast looked on the isle — thou hast looked on the wave —
Then hie thee again to thy deep, watery grave;
Go, quench thee in ocean, thou dark, nameless thing,
Thou spark from the fallen one's wide flaming wing.

An ocean of Love

Have you ever sailed on vast ocean,
With no island to see, and things are out of reach?
With dreams and mysteries filled this ocean,
And a never ending faith that someone would teach?

Have you ever felt that feeling,
Of a deep calmness within you that's hard to fight?
And no one could help you believing,
That you're striving for the right?

Did you ever sailed on an ocean,
That further placed upon your heart?
For deeply below this ocean,
Lies a silent whisper, where love starts.

An ocean of Love, the ocean of dreams
Where you can find solace and exceptional truth
Though pain resides even if you don't dream
As the existence of love bears its fruit.

The fruit of harmony, bliss, and wonder
Without the seed that's buried down below
Like a pearl that lies down under
The ocean of love they call, starts hello.

Upon this vast ocean, two souls were me and you
Over the waves and across the surface
I have found a love so true
The ocean of love was then the wondrous place.

Canada To England

GONE are the days, old Warrior of the Seas,
When thine armed head, bent low to catch my voice,
Caught but the plaintive sighings of my woods,
And the wild roar of rock-dividing streams,
And the loud bellow of my cataracts,
Bridged with the seven splendours of the bow.
When Nature was a Samson yet unshorn,
Filling the land with solitary might,
Or as the Angel of the Apocalypse,
One foot upon the primeval bowered land,
One foot upon the white mane of the sea,
My voice but faintly swelled the ebb and flow
Of the wild tides and storms that beat upon
Thy rocky girdle,-loud shrieking from the Ind
Ambrosial-breathing furies; from the north
Thundering with Arctic bellows, groans of seas
Rising from tombs of ice disrupted by
The magic kisses of the wide-eyed sun.

The times have won a change. Nature no more
Lords it alone and binds the lonely land
A serf to tongueless solitudes; but Nature's self
Is led, glad captive, in light fetters rich
As music-sounding silver can adorn;
And man has forged them, and our silent God
Behind His flaming worlds smiles on the deed.
'Man hath dominion'-words of primal might;
'Man hath dominion'-thus the words of God.

If destiny is writ on night's dusk scroll,
Then youngest stars are dropping from the hand
Of the Creator, sowing on the sky
My name in seeds of light. Ages will watch
Those seeds expand to suns, such as the tree
Bears on its boughs, which grows in Paradise.

How sounds my voice, my warrior kinsman, now?
Sounds it not like to thine in lusty youth-
A world-possessing shout of busy men,
Veined with the clang of trumpets and the noise
Of those who make them ready for the strife,
And in the making ready bruise its head?
Sounds it not like to thine-the whispering vine,
The robe of summer rustling thro' the fields,
The lowing of the cattle in the meads,
The sound of Commerce, and the music-set,
Flame-brightened step of Art in stately halls,-
All the infinity of notes which chord
The diapason of a Nation's voice?

My infants' tongues lisp word for word with thine;
We worship, wed, and die, and God is named
That way ye name Him,-strong bond between
Two mighty lands when as one mingled cry,
As of one voice, Jehovah turns to hear.
The bonds between us are no subtle links
Of subtle minds binding in close embrace,
Half-struggling for release, two alien lands,
But God's own seal of kindred, which to burst
Were but to dash his benediction from
Our brows. 'Who loveth not his kin,
Whose face and voice are his, how shall he love
God whom he hath not seen?'

Call Of Love

I walked towards the ocean
As she began to roll and began to roar
Then she put in in a daze, I remembered today
As I thought of a woman, that I knew once before.
Her eyes where as deep as the ocean
Her soul as loving as the ocean is blue
Her skin as white, as the sand that night,
A statement, was never as true.
The breeze then went through my hair
As though as a woman was standing there,
She then touched my heart and kissed my lips,
At the ocean, I just stood and stared.
The ocean then took itself a form
Was a form to set myself and soul free
So then I closed my eyes and I fantasized
And then I accepted the ocean, inside of me.

Angel Dream

I dreamed you, i saw your face
Caught my lifeline when drifting through space
I saw an angel, i saw my fate
I can only thank god it was not too late
Over mountains i floated away
Across an ocean i dreamed her name
I followed an angel down through the gates
I can only thank god it was not too late
Sing a little song of loneliness
Sing one to make me smile
Another round for everyone
I'm here for a little while
Now i'm walking this street on my own
But she's with me everywhere i go
Yeah i found an angel, i found my place
I can only thank god it was not too late
I can only thank god it was not too late
I can only thank god it was not too late

Deep Blue Knight

Deep Blue Knight
I want to jump into the ocean
of your stars tonight

Wrap the tides around my body
fill my lungs with breaths of you
Into the ocean

I may walk across the rising waves
and never know that it was you
as far as i can ride the moon beams

i shall don a new disguise today
And wake up every morning
to hear the ocean,

and i'll jump into your arms of swimming grace
as you hold me on the tattered platform
and crumble i shall

into the ocean
Just let it all come crashing down
around the perfect little angels now

and rising tears may guide their anger
towards my fiery heart again
as i jump

into the ocean....

The Angel above My Head

when I woke up I Thought I heard the wind cry
May be it was the sky
Calling the angels above
Where I lie
I hope it was the sky

I heard murmuring thunder above my head
I sat and though about all the time I cried
Wonderind when shall I die

The angel came with me
I could hear the tears of the angels cry

I watched as the angel flew away
I listen to the angel shed tears

Then I sat on the bridge
Thinking about the angel above
The angel covers everything
The angel saddens us all

Indie Hair

I had a job washin dishes in a sink
It made me rich, but in a different kind of way
I could cut my hair, but it costs too much
So Ill buy my own clippers, darlin, and d.i.y. this bush!
Her last temptation was to grab that beggin bowl
Her belly was empty, but her mind was full
Can you see it?
Would you go?
I could cut your hair, but it costs too much
So Ill but my own clippers, darlin, and d.i.y. this bush!
Is it your body?
Do you really want to do this?
Of course
Alright
Would you go with me anywhere? hummm...
I cant sing, I cant bring this peace without you here...
They say he left his home with only five strands...
Are you okay? youve got your head in my hands...
Would you go with me?
Could you sing a song?
Ive bought my own clippers, darlin
It wont be long
Were going to india to sit with angels
Were going to india to sit with devils
Were going to india to sit with angels
Were going to india to sit with devils
