In Memoriam A. H. H.: 5. Sometimes I Hold it half a Sin
I sometimes hold it half a sin
To put in words the grief I feel;
For words, like Nature, half reveal
And half conceal the Soul within.
But, for the unquiet heart and brain,
A use in measured language lies;
The sad mechanic exercise,
Like dull narcotics, numbing pain.
In words, like weeds, I'll wrap me o'er,
Like coarsest clothes against the cold;
But that large grief which these enfold
Is given in outline and no more.

Half The World
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway
Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes
Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does
Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away
Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns
Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half
Half of us divided like a torn-up photograph half of us are
Trying to reach the other half
Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away

Let Your judgement fall
Dear God, the friends I hold dear from the very begin
do not know the pain I am in,
some may see the life I am leading
as half a sin, unaware of the soul within
and no words can truly reveal
everything that I know, everything that I feel,
the curses on my integrity my name that rages me
without a way to deal with it, a way to heal
and in the half truths and lies
spread by powerful people as a slandering exercise
poison envelops me like weeds
and although my words and deeds denies
the fabricated facts and I have the power
to against the onslaught stand firm like a steel tower,
have the ability to destroy in return, to debase and to degrade
I do not from my responsibilities or the truth cower
but whom am I mere man to declare war on You,
to shatter your church, to destroy it right out of the blue
with the effects of it having world wide ramifications
even if the facts that I have are reliable and true?
As the men assaulting me, slandering me as a dignified cause
are only men and not without faults or above laws
and should be rendering nobler deeds, be following their creed
not like savage beasts have blood on their paws
l’Envoi
and now I leave them in Your hand
and I am not able to understand
how Christian people can act as this
and with the effect of deeds done I stand,
behold me and let Your judgement fall,
Your destruction fall, on one and all
that has smitten me,
every single one, either large or small.

Half The World
Half the world lives,
Half the world makes,
Half the world gives
While the other half takes.
Half the world hates,
Half the world runs away,
Half the world's late,
Half the world praises the day.
Half the world is,
Half the world was,
Half the world thinks,
Half the world does.
Half the world lies,
Half the world burns,
Half the world cries
While the other half turns.
Half the world cares,
Half the world weeps,
Half the world shares,
Half the world keeps.
Half the world sings,
Half the world laughs,
Half the world brings,
Half the world tries to be the other half.
End.
Half As Much
I've been up and and down the highway
And i've seen what a man can do
To some little girl along the byway
That's why i sing this song to you
If you find your baby's gone
And you don't know where or when
You wonder, yes you wonder
If you'll ever see him again
Just remember, remember
These simple words i brought
Soon it won't hurt half as much
No it won't hurt half as much
No it won't hurt half as much as you thought
'cause i been up and down the highway
And i watch them as they pass by
Broken hearts and i wish that they'd go my way
I'd save them every little teardrop they cry
Won't you listen?
If you think you can't go on
And life ain't got it for you no more
You're waitin' every night
For him to come walkin' through that door
Just remember, remember
These simple words that i brought
Soon it won't hurt half as much
No it won't hurt half as much
No it won't hurt half as much as you thought
Well, it won't hurt half as much
No, it won't hurt half as much
Lord, it won't hurt half as much as you though
Fades
And everytime you're sad, you cry
You feel like you...

Escape.
Let me escape,
From my own machinations,
From my own bitter creations,
I feel like I am in an ice cage,
There's half water and half ice,
I am half frozen and half shaky,
I am half alive and half dead,
I feel like breaking through this cage,
My soul wants to runaway,
Breaking these walls,
Out of my isolation,
Out of my despair,
In this revolution,
Out of this confusion,
And escape,
Out of this hollowness,
Out of this pain, half endured and half erupting,
With this volcanic heart, aching hard,
Out of myself,
Out of this lava I breathe...
Out of this story, untold, unread,
And escape, just escape...

Unveiling lines without a rose
The white moon gleams in the wood
From every bough there comes a voice
Beneath the bower with a meaning of one choice
The pond reflects a shimmering mirror of a hood
As dawn breaks the silhouette of thoughts
Projected by the dim willow shade
Where winds lament what dreams us taught
We crave these dreams to last and not to be dread
Yet I aught to content with the thought….
If a woman ever loved
In faithful truth
As you by me
If a love faith ever found
So true in faith
As mine in you
To draw the strength
To seek the faith
That comes of self control
The truths that never can be proved
Until we close with all we loved
And in harmony we flow and lull soul to soul
Our livings will that shall endure
When all that seems shall suffer shock
We shall rise in the spiritual rock
Out of which the holy water of cure
Shall flow among our deeds and make them pure
Now I hold these lines in sin
To put in words the love’s anguish that I feel
For words like nature, half reveal
And half conceal the soul within
Oh, horrid heart how fares it with you now
That you have leaded me to failure by my own desire
And not once to stall, to repent at all or inquire
What makes me fall so low

Three Little Words
Three little words
Oh what I'd give for that wonderful phrase
To hear those three little words
That's all I'd live for the rest of my days
And what I feel in my heart
They tell sincerely
No other words can tell it half so clear-early
Three little words
Eight little letters
Which simply mean I love you-ou
And what I feel in my heart
They tell sincerely
No other words can tell it half so clear-early
Three little words
Eight little letters
Which simply mean I love you
Simply mean I-I love you-ou

Truth Are Lies.. Lies Are Truth..
speak your truth from your quivering lips
but also your lies comes through them..
your half lies are also your half truths
yet your half truths are also your half lies
what shall you talk about them if your thruth are your lies
and your lieas are your truths
then this world would be filled of noise
being lies and being the truth
until all of us will be lost
what to believe and follow
will it be the half lies
or the half truths?
which one is to choice
the truth is yours but also are the lies..
so let us all live with he truths and the lies
within our hearts within our minds
till we are lost in a maze of half lies and half truths

Wrap My Words Around You
Is it fair to write a song to a woman
Is it fair play to try to win her heart
Is it right to bring her sonnets in the morning-time
To express the first few longings when they start
To express the first few longings when they start
Is it right to let her feeling rise to catch you
Is it ok when her heart begins to fall
Would you blame me if I wrap my words around you girl
Would I wrong you to say anything at all
Would I wrong you to say anything at all
But if I wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
If i wrap my words around you
Would you stay, would you stay, would you
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
If i wrap my words around you
Would you stay, would it play with your heart
Am I a hunter if i send poems to please you
Am I a cad if I mean everything I say
Should I even let you know this song's about you girl
Just because I want to see you smile today
And my words may bind you to me much too tightly
And you may choke upon them if we fall apart
It's not fair to write a song to a woman, no
Because a woman takes a song into her heart
Because a woman takes a song into her heart
So let me wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Till you stay, till you stay, let me
Wrap my words around you
Wrap my words around you
Darling, wrap my words around you
Til you stay, would it play with your heart

Suffocating (Twisted Love Song)
Lies wrap around you.
Suffocating,
Reciprocating,
It started with a school of little white lies,
But now you're graduating,
It's devestating.
You had such power over me,
I once was blind but now I see,
But it's still blurry,
To me.
Truth with you is not real,
Everything is lies,
Every time you open your mouth,
A piece of me dies.
Your words bludgeon my soul,
You were the half of me
That made me whole.
The lies are out of control
Suffocating,
Degrading.
Killing me.

My mental pain
The pain inside me
The mental pain inside me
Makes physical pain seem like a walk in the park
But that’s just half
Of this story
Do you know how it feels for no one to hear you screaming
Its like time stood still
I’ve lost it… oh well
Time is now standing still
Why should one heart feel so much pain
And who will be the death of me
How long will It take for you to see
The damage, the carnage
Your words, your actions
have done to me
You words, your actions
Cause the pain inside me
Your words, your actions
Cause the mental pain inside me

We Just Come Here And Go - Original By Rabindranath Tagore
We just come here and go
And go with the time's flow!
We only see things
And touch while going
And look back crying!
Only new bleak hopes
Take our life forward!
We can see false hopes
If we look backward!
Broken strength carries endless desires
Both bright and dark
So broken output is obtained from
Do or die work!
We sail our broken boat in the sea with goods!
Our broken language can't express all moods!
Half acquaintance in our hearts!
Our half sentence needs more words!
In shame and fear our faith is half
So we offer only half love!

A Feeling Of Half-ness
i had long known that i cannot be full
i am always a glass half full.
This feeling of not having gone at length
to the place where i want to put all my legs and my hands
and let them do something that is so complete.
My cheeks are blushing.
My ears do not fully hear what I am saying to my heart.
My heart beats but always in half notes
In Whispers so that You may not hear everything
That I want to say. Always concealing.
Hiding the true color of this state: halfway
Half asleep. Half awake.
At the middle of things, I shall always be.
I am neither the beginning
Nor the End. I want to speak, but there are no words coming.

In no poems I can find something
In no poems I can find something
to describe that which is between us,
to bring the wondrous experience
on paper to words
and when I look at you I am half blinded
in contemplation as if in the darkness
and have to come to the confession:
my thoughts are devoured
as if I myself cannot get words
to catch the light in your eyes,
the loveliness coming deep from the soul,
to let hang that which is between us
in a few words
and about it I feel wordless and mute.

A New Year's Plaint
In words like weeds, I'll wrap me o'er,
Like coarsest clothes against the cold;
But that large grief which these enfold
Is given in outline and no more.
--TENNYSON.
The bells that lift their yawning throats
And lolling tongues with wrangling cries
Flung up in harsh, discordant notes,
As though in anger, at the skies,--
Are filled with echoings replete,
With purest tinkles of delight--
So I would have a something sweet
Ring in the song I sing to-night.
As when a blotch of ugly guise
On some poor artist's naked floor
Becomes a picture in his eyes,
And he forgets that he is poor,--
So I look out upon the night,
That ushers in the dawning year,
And in a vacant blur of light
I see these fantasies appear.
I see a home whose windows gleam
Like facets of a mighty gem
That some poor king's distorted dream
Has fastened in his diadem.
And I behold a throng that reels
In revelry of dance and mirth,
With hearts of love beneath their heels,
And in their bosoms hearts of earth.
O Luxury, as false and grand
As in the mystic tales of old,
When genii answered man's command,
And built of nothing halls of gold!
O Banquet, bright with pallid jets,
And tropic blooms, and vases caught
In palms of naked statuettes,
Ye can not color as ye ought!
For, crouching in the storm without,
I see the figure of a child,
In little ragged roundabout,
Who stares with eyes that never smiled--
And he, in fancy can but taste
The dainties of the kingly fare,
And pick the crumbs that go to waste
Where none have learned to kneel in prayer.
Go, Pride, and throw your goblet down--
The 'merry greeting' best appears
On loving lips that never drown
Its worth but in the wine of tears;
Go, close your coffers like your hearts,
And shut your hearts against the poor,
Go, strut through all your pretty parts
But take the 'Welcome' from your door.
