The Aquittal Of Phryne
When Athens challenged Phryne to confess
Eleusis' self sufficed not to appal
Her impious tread, and, throned within their Hall,
The awful judges frowned on her distress,
Slowly her lovely limbs she did undress,
Swathe upon swathe, fold after fold, let fall,
Until she stood, absolved, before them all,
Clad in her clear convincing nakedness.
So when the slaves of custom would control
Your range of feeling and your realm of thought,
And close you half the world who claim the whole,
Show them your inmost self, keep back not aught,
By your mind's beauty be their bias bought,
And sway by bare simplicity of soul.

Hang me a door with gables bright!
Hang me a door with gables bright!
So joy can find its way by night…
Through bootless tracks where great fords lie,
In the distance of an externals eye.
Here a swathe of farm lights—burn
Without oil, gas or peat-bog turf
Here a lantern hangs omnipotent and gold.
Bringing a shepherds flock back unto His fold
Where one man’s labouring, equals one lord’s serf
Where a prophet preached; till his own nocturne!

Nature And Life
I
Leave the uproar: at a leap
Thou shalt strike a woodland path,
Enter silence, not of sleep,
Under shadows, not of wrath;
Breath which is the spirit's bath
In the old Beginnings find,
And endow them with a mind,
Seed for seedling, swathe for swathe.
That gives Nature to us, this
Give we her, and so we kiss.
II
Fruitful is it so: but hear
How within the shell thou art,
Music sounds; nor other near
Can to such a tremor start.
Of the waves our life is part;
They our running harvests bear:
Back to them for manful air,
Laden with the woodland's heart!
That gives Battle to us, this
Give we it, and good the kiss.

Sweet Little Girls
Sweet little girls
Cut a swathe through this world
Using skills that they get
From their mothers
Sweet little girls
Might like ribbons and curls
But they most like to torture their brothers
And sweet little girls
Love their friends
'Till it hurts
Or until
They can find them another
Watch their lips, they make a circle like
"Coo coo coo coo"
But the words their saying softly are
Cruel cruel cruel
Sweet little girls
Cut a swathe through this world
Using skills that they get
From their mothers
Watch their lips, they make a circle like
"Coo coo coo coo"
But the words their saying softly are
Cruel cruel cruel
Yeah sweet little girls
Cut a swathe through this world
Using skills that they get
From their mothers
Using skills that they get from their mothers
Using skills that they get from their

Different tratment
She banged the phone and blasted
I feared more blasts and waited
She was damn angry and out of control
I even forgot to address her and call
I gained little strength and again called
Her previous encounter was stone walled
I was not in rage but in shame
I did not know now what she will blame
“What you think you can talk on phone”
I was taken a back when she had blasted and gone
I became really nervous and tried to console
She was in damn bad mood and on other pole
I thought of bad day ahead and tried to pacify
No amount of persuasion may calm her or satisfy
“Don’t you know how to address woman on women’s day’?
She was trying to be little aggressive and has sway
I thought she wanted little different treatment
She did not want same feeling with the sweet comments
She thought of forcing her views in hostile mood
I thought I may have to miss my precious food
Whole world is complementing us for our role
You are not able to make even small sweet call
What are you going to do for me and my cause?
Now I came to know what were all drama and all because
I laughed it out but after long stress
She had all happiness on face
Even though it was unusual for her to act
She was in hostile mood to impress upon and react
I said congrats on their women’s day
But requested her to find for me a comfortable way
So I can remain in peace with her in this lovely world
But asked her to calm down and return to my warm fold

Hips Sway
Not the harsh sunshine
Cast soft dusk ambers instead
Brow furroughs not be shown
Let only clarity be read
Sway. Just sway
Close your eyes now
Sway
Let your mind wander now
Hips Sway
Let your mind wander
Hips Sway Sway
And like the road
That tells of no fatalities
Let me fool you one more time
Nievete travels smooth-Just fine
When you're with me
Sway Just sway
Close your eyes now
Sway
Let your mind wander now
Hips sway
Let your mind wander
Hips Sway Sway
Let the sweet of my lips
Linger on your finger tips
Longer than the rational of time
Not trying to keep you
Not trying to make you mine
Sway. Just sway
Close your eyes now
Sway
Let your mind wander now
Hips Sway
Let your mind wander
Hips Sway Sway
So when the night shadows
No longer move my way
Persuaded you can not be
Not even one more day
Impaled I will not be
Instead retreat to mountain tops
To face the sky and say
Remember how we used to sway
Close your eyes now
Sway.
Let your mind wander now
Hips Sway
Let your mind wander
Hips Sway Sway

Blitzkreig
Children sleeping in a shed deep under the garden clay,
Covered overhead with massive pine tree spars, as bombs rained
Ruthless down on London, heard thousands of our guns fall silent,
Unexplained! “Why? ” I whispered scared, my sister had no answer
Unknowing how that great warrior Churchill had agreed
Night fighters be deployed to stop the cruel armada, high
Above the balloons. A different duel now, with men the same breed
As themselves. But across the broad swathe of London sky,
Sombre and formidable, first in dozens then in hundreds,
Heinkels marched in dark battalions, flaunting the balkenkreuz,
Lit by London’s ring of fire, loosing an avalanche of cannon shell;
Drumfest of TNT’s murderous death-knell scything the streets.
Three nights we listened fearful, my sister and I, to the roar
And tremble, crash and smash, break and shake of Nazi’s proud
Might. Hearing only the distant rumble of battle as raw,
Naked searchlights swept in vain the pink underbelly of cloud,
Far above us in the moonless night. But we knew the blind
Whirlwind flail of machine guns was shredding our Blenheims.
Ah! But we were led by a man big enough to change his mind.
“Stand down the fighters, ” Winston said ordering General Pile
To recommence his mighty barrage, and sudden, radar controlled
AA guns reinforced ten-fold the wild, pungent cacophony while
Louder yet a million Londoners stood and cheered to claim
The victory as we hit back with pent up fury and with deadly aim.

0085... Ne'er The Twain...?
So many centuries of Indian thought,
so many saints who found their inmost soul,
so much of observation of the mind,
so much of consciousness itself revealed...
and all this given due language and due terms -
that we, the distant heirs, yet that same self,
may struggle, in our word-hoard so much less,
to stretch our minds to comprehend this wealth;
thus, make a virtue from necessity,
and as perforce the English mystics did,
with heart-warmed mind, speak true simplicity;
with mind-clear heart, reveal what's God and hid:
and trust that godly silence, godly sound
shall yield that self-same truth to Western mind.

Half The World
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway
Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes
Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does
Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away
Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns
Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half
Half of us divided like a torn-up photograph half of us are
Trying to reach the other half
Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away

Three-Fold
Somewhere I've read a thoughtful mind's reflection:
'All perfect things are three-fold'; and I know
Our love has the rare symbol of perfection;
The brain's response, the warm blood's rapturous glow,
The soul's sweet language, silent and unspoken.
All these unite us with a deathless tie.
For when our frail, clay tenement is broken,
Our spirits will be lovers still, on high.
My dearest wish, you speak before I word it.
You understand the workings of heart.
My soul's thought, breathed where only God has heard it,
You fathom with your strange divining art.
And Like a fire, that cheers, and lights, and blesses,
And floods a mansion full of happy heat,
So does the subtle warmth of your caresses,
Pervade me with rapture, keen as sweet.
And so sometimes, as you and I together
Exult in all dear love's three-fold delights,
I cannot help but vaguely wonder whether
When our free souls attain their spirit heights,
E'en if we reach that upper realm where God is,
And find the tales of heavenly glory true,
I wonder if we shall not miss our bodies,
And long, at times, for hours on earth we knew.
As now, we sometimes pray to leave our prison
And soar beyond all physical demands,
So may we not sigh, when we have arisen,
For just one old-time touch of lips and hands?
I know, dear heart, a thought like this seems daring
Concerning God's vast Government above,
Yet, even There, I shrink from wholly sparing
One element, from this, our Three-fold Love.

Waiting For The Day
It was only for a fight
That I asked you to come in
But you brought me tumbling down
And the walls came caving in
Wont you help me dry my tears
Help me roll away the years
Then perhaps I will forgive you
And the hurt will disappear
But in a fit of blind arrogance
You stood up and walked away
If youd given me half a chance
Ill be waiting for the day
For the day that you come back to me
Come on back to me
You come back to me
So forget the long goodbye
You never really tried
Threw the keys down on the table
Youve got your sense of pride
Then you had to tell the world
Your story must be heard
Slammed the door behind you
Without a single word
But in a fit of blind arrogance
You stood up and walked away
The day that you come back to me
Come on back to me
You come back to me
Come back to me
You come back to me
No I never had a single thought in my head
No I never had a single thought
Oh for the day that you come back to me
Come on back to me
You come back to me
Come on back to me
You could be my life long friend
You could be the light of dawn
You could keep me close at hand
You could keep me safe and warm
I will be your fantasy
If you come and stay with me
I will try to give you all
Waiting for the night to fall
You could be the light of day
You could be my life long friend
You could keep me close at hand
Waiting for the day to end
I will be your fantasy
If you come and stay with me
I will try to give my all
Waiting for the night to fall

Of Happiness
Of Happiness
What is happiness? I question and contemplate,
Even a simple answer invites an endless debate.
“I am happy”, very easy to demonstrate and say,
But most of the times it evades and eludes away.
Happiness can’t be bought or bargained by any,
Love can bring bliss said sages and saints many.
One who is in love, lives in world of happiness,
Soul is enlightened, mind is clear and doubtless.
Eyes observe beauty of nature in all His creation,
Peaceful and fearless one become in such situation.
Divinity of love makes a human more humane,
With compassionate and altruistic attitude main,
Love takes us nearer to god, a realm of happiness,
Succor it gives at the time of hardship and distress.
The bliss, the euphoria, the ecstasy and much more,
Love brings all these, is a reality as sung in folklore.

The Bathing Nymph
-A bathing beauty born to be afloat
On waters blue and still, well nigh the beach
Of forsaken isles, where no man has trod.
The pretty blonde with golden hair looks great,
As sun-beams swathe her raiment through and through;
The conchs and corals of the sea-bed show!
She plays with sea-gulls happily for long;
The water-waves wafting a divine song;
The lovely lass looks lit like fallen star!
The damsel day-dreams, drenched in dawn’s day-light!
There is no prince to woo her to be wife!
The bathing nymph has never tasted strife!
Her life goes on in Mother Nature’s lap!
Each sun-set drives her deep down for a nap;
She‘s up again smiling at break of day!

Woman In Control
Woman in control 3/24/07
To all the woman who enjoy poetry
My words are here to set you free.
I can climb into your heart and soul
And release all the emotions that you hold.
Feelings that have been locked up inside
Feelings that you try to hide.
All the words that you want to say.
Yet! Never find the way.
Always relish the thought that you are like mother earth.
Brought into this world to show the beauty
And love that you posses
And for you it’s an endless test.
Your beauty is deep within your soul
It is a beauty in which you learned to control.
You can make the bad look good
And the good look bad.
You can be happy or you can be sad.
You have learned to control emotions
And to show man what they want to see
And turn around their hypocrisy.
Now when I look at your face-
I no longer see the satin and lace.
I no longer see a woman who they say is born to lose
But! An intelligent woman who can choose

My Love In A Mirror
She stood there
looking at herself...
at the beauty God bestowed on her
in front of this mirror
I stood behind her, wrapping my soul around her
my dark brown arms against her pale skin,
covering her nakedness
in front of this mirror
Our bodies stirred, feeling the fire
remembering our lovemaking earlier,
and previous times we have stood here
in front of this mirror
Like this very moment, her eyes
arresting me, her soul possessing me,
the warmth of my body against hers
in front of this mirror

The State Of My Soul
My limbs turned against me
Gave witness of my evil deeds
The heart and mind rebelled
The tongue lashed me out
The eyes went out of my control
Though I did my things, covertly, along with them
As they were very close to me
And the most trusted friends of mine,
They did get the pleasure in full,
But one by one they left me in the lurch
Now my soul stood alone.

Wetness
Keeping it a thought you detest...
Is a kept confession,
You love wetness.
You're no different than the rest.
Those who undress quick,
For sex and wetness.
Denying heat wont make it go away.
Saying something different,
Is in conflict with your mission.
Keeping it a thought you detest...
Is a kept confession,
You love wetness.
You're no different than the rest.
Those who undress quick,
For sex and wetness.
Lie about it!
Try to hide those naked wishes in your mind.
Deny and fight it.
But you know fresh meat is what you want to find.
To bump and grind as you're sighing.
Keeping it a thought you detest...
Is a kept confession,
You love wetness.
You're no different than the rest.
Those who undress quick,
For sex and wetness.
You despair for nakedness and wetness.
You want it there,
Some sex and wetness.
Keeping you uptight at night,
And restless.
Ooooohhhyeah...
Keeping it a thought you detest...
Is a kept confession,
You love wetness.
You're no different than the rest.
Those who undress quick,
For sex and wetness.
mmmmm...
That sex and wetness.

Boys On The Radio
Do what you want
Cos Ill do anything
And Ill take the blame
Whats mine is yours
You can have all of it
And I learn to beg
Oh, the boys on the radio
They crash and burn
They fold and fade so slow
In your endless summer night
Ill be on the other side
When youre beautiful and dying
All the world that youve denied
When the water is too deep
You can close your eyes and really sleep tonight
Tonight
I want whats yours
Oh, Id give anything and
Ill take the pain
I wait alone
For what will never come and
I throw it all away
Oh, the boys on the radio
They crash and burn
They fold and fade so slow
In your endless summer night
Ill be on the other side
When youre beautiful and dying
All the world that youve denied
When the water is too deep
You can close your eyes and really sleep tonight
Your beauty blinds
If I let you in
Under my skin
And risen every angel slain
He said hed never, ever
Ever go
Never ever, ever go away
Baby, Ive gone away
In your endless summer night
Ill be on the other side
When youre beautiful and dying
All the world that youve denied
When the water is too deep
You can close your eyes and really sleep tonight
Your beauty blinds
I know where are running to, please come back
Oh, come back again
I hear the truth, its coming from you
Oh, come back, wont you come back again
In your endless summer night
Ill be on the other side
When youre beautiful and dying
All the world that youve denied
When the water is too deep
I will ease your suffering
When the glitter fades in morning
Turn away and you will find my empty eyes
Your beauty blinds
I know that you are rotten to the core
I know that you dont love me anymore
I know that you are rotten to the core

Within the hollow of an atom lay an eternity to fathom.
Within the hollow of an atom lay an
Eternity to fathom, Find the place within your mind,
Seek vision beyond the wall of sleep that smothers the blind
To their knowing of wisdoms river flowing.
How are we to know Love from reason?
Are we ever to find a reason in Love?
As high above the souls
Of those so long since flown
Look down upon the realm
Within which the seeds
Of revolutions are sown.
Beginning at the same point in time
In parallel the soul is separated
Into the logic of the mind and
The compassion of the heart.
In seeking enlightenment we must
Learn to accept that what has come
To unfold throughout the day may
Have resonance upon the story untold.
Reaching the pinnacle of opposites the
Soul must recognise the simplicity of
Truth in understanding clear.
After all, faith would be no faith at all
If we had any guarantees to fall back upon.

Chiaroscuro: Rose
He
Fill your bowl with roses: the bowl, too, have of crystal.
Sit at the western window. Take the sun
Between your hands like a ball of flaming crystal,
Poise it to let it fall, but hold it still,
And meditate on the beauty of your existence;
The beauty of this, that you exist at all.
She
The sun goes down, -- but without lamentation.
I close my eyes, and the stream of my sensation
In this, at least, grows clear to me:
Beauty is a word that has no meaning.
Beauty is naught to me.
He
The last blurred raindrops fall from the half-clear sky,
Eddying lightly, rose-tinged, in the windless wake of the sun.
The swallow ascending against cold waves of cloud
Seems winging upward over huge bleak stairs of stone.
The raindrop finds its way to the heart of the leaf-bud.
But no word finds its way to the heart of you.
She
This also is clear in the stream of my sensation:
That I am content, for the moment, Let me be.
How light the new grass looks with the rain-dust on it!
But heart is a word that has no meaning,
Heart means nothing to me.
He
To the end of the world I pass and back again
In flights of the mind; yet always find you here,
Remote, pale, unattached . . . O Circe-too-clear-eyed,
Watching amused your fawning tiger-thoughts,
Your wolves, your grotesque apes -- relent, relent!
Be less wary for once: it is the evening.
She
But if I close my eyes what howlings greet me!
Do not persuade. Be tranquil. Here is flesh
With all its demons. Take it, sate yourself.
But leave my thoughts to me.
