Human Folly

The gods looked down upon the plebes
and roared a loud thunderous laugh.
Those arrogant humans never
Learn. They spend precious time flirting
Audaciously with foolishness;
They set their eyes toward heaven
And expect to achieve greatness.
By whose precious standards do they
Trust determining their greatness?
Their own supreme egotism
Suffices as their bellwether
And so therein lies their weakness
A trait exclusively human.

Sonnet: On Greatness

Greatness is not a thing, much like an art;
Some man turns great if on it he stumbles;
His greatness ceases, if he thinks, he's great;
Great is he truly who tho' great, humbles.

Greatness is not true greatness, self-proclaimed;
Greatness is not what world showers on us;
Greatness is neither got by being claimed.
Greatness is not achieved by making fuss.

Greatness could come if world decides to give;
Greatness will stay if God blesses our work;
Such greatness, God-destined comes while men live;
Greatness can grow even without much luck.

Greatness doesn't come to everyone on earth;
Some men are made great; some are great by birth.

Embellished By Desire

Does a greatness exist,
To remind itself that's what it is?
Or is it what it is because it is convinced...
A greatness has been achieved?
From its perspective.

Although the quality of it,
Has long been diminished...
By those seeking clarity and definition!
And not deluded interpretations,
Fantasized and embellished by desire.

An isolated slice of a whole...
May wish to call itself anything it chooses.
But it can not exist as it is by itself exclusively.

One day it does awaken...
To realize the foolishness of this!

Precious

(orbison)
You are not just another sweet human
Youre precious, precious to me
You are not just my love for the moment
Youre precious, precious to me
Are you some kind of angel
Who lost your way to a star?
Wonder why, why me?
Dont you even see how wonderful you are?
You are not just someone I can talk with
Youre precious, precious to me
You are not just someone I can talk with
Youre precious, precious to me

Elbert Hubbard

The man who is anybody and who does anything is surely going to be criticized, vilified, and misunderstood. That is part of the penalty for greatness, and every great man understands it; and understands, too, that it is no proof of greatness. The final proof of greatness lies in being able to endure continously without resentment.

Precious Time

A million tiny lights are strung across the western sky
They burn to light our mission
But its just a million lonely hearts
Strung out from never asking why
We burn with blind ambition
I heard somebody say
I dont regret my wedding day
But somethings wrong
Its not the same
Im lonely and Id start again
If I had the time
Precious time
But I dont ask much
Just to keep in touch
And waste a little of your precious time
Waste a little of your precious time
A million dollars never justified a million lies
To jockey for position
And if two hearts cant beat as one
How can a million souls survive
In this world of suspicion
I heard somebody say
I dream about my wedding day
Through lonely nights
I dream of you
A lover though a friend would do
Id find him if I had the time
Precious time
But I dont ask much
Just to keep in touch
And waste a little of your precious time
Waste a little of your precious time
And just a smiles enough
Just some of that human stuff
And waste a little of your precious time
Precious time

Sense Of Paradise

The magic of the night and your alluring eyes, .

Where my heart there always peaceful lies.

Took me once again to the paradise.

Nothing can lift my soul up as much as
It does

Being again there in your arms.

My soul wears wings and happy flies

Crown angels begin singing wearing whites.

Nothing could be in the world more precious,

Then borning once again every time I look to your eyes.

That gives me the sense of being in paradise.

Each day more and more you make me realize,

The value of having the greatness of love in the hearts.

September Song

Well, its a long, long time
From may to december
But the days grow short,
When you reach september.
And the autumn weather
Turns the leaves to flame
And I havent got time
For the waiting game.
And the days dwindle down
To a precious few . . .
September, november . . .
And these few precious days
I spend with you.
These precious days
I spend with you.

Human Greatness Is Not All

HUMAN GREATNESS IS NOT ALL

Human greatness is not all-
Even Shakespeare will be dust-
Dust dust and more dust-
Stars die- Galaxies die -
The universe will die -
All of us will die-
Human greatness is not all,
And Shakespeare too will be dust.

Time Is Precious

Watching the ice melt between us
Just faster than grass grows
Its not the best that weve seen us
But nothing else I'd have chose
Reminds me of a time
When anything could have come
Anything could have happened
What a fantastic feeling
Time is precious as you say it is
I wanna know that we didn't miss
It goes by quickly youll soon find out
I wont go down
Time is precious as you say it is
I wanna know that we didnt miss
It goes by quickly youll soon find out
When you fight to resist
Emotion with a fist
An irresistible force will always
Prevail
The fortress goes crumbling down
Around you where you stand
What was once strong mortar
Is now a pile of sand
Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that Im careful now
I wont go down
Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now
From reckless to recluse
And sometimes back again
Left wondering what's the use
Of a life of mischief spent
Makes cool the desert sun
The piece of mind that you gave me
Absolve me for things I've done
Only that can save me
Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didn't miss
I've dodged so many bullets that I'm careful now
I wont go down
Time is just as precious as you say it is
I wanna spend it and know that we didnt miss
Ive dodged so many bullets that Im careful now

Today... 'The Elect

Elect and precious this Chief Corner Stone
Chosen by God to sit upon the throne
We that believe will not be put to shame
But shall proudly be called by His great name

And Who is this Elect and Chosen One?
It is Christ Jesus Gods' Only Son
For in Zion's city He shall be king
Of His greatness and praise all men shall sing

Even A Fool Learns To Love

There was a time, the laughing time
I took my heart to every party
Theyd point my way
How are you today?
Will you make us laugh? chase our blues away?
Their funny man wont let them down
No, hed dance and prance and be their clown
That time, the laughing time
When even a fool learns to love
The clown turned around
And saw her smile, oh how she loved me
Shed clap her hands and beg me stay
To make her laugh, to make her life gay
Who wants the love of all the world
When here was love in the eyes of just one girl
That day, that precious day
When even a fool learns to love
But oh, how I dreamed, a marvelous dream
Where all of the heavens or so it had seemed
With thunderous applause looked down from above
On a clown and an angel so much in love
Ill stay with my dream, it takes such a dream
And even a fool learns to love
That day, that hateful day
The joke turned stale, the game was over
Those spiteful words oh, go away. who wants to play?
Its getting late now.
My world, my funny world
Had lost its mask and shown a broken heart
A time, a sour time
When even a fool learns to love
But oh, how I dreamed, a marvelous dream
Where all of the heavens or so it had seemed
With thunderous applause looked down from above
On a clown and an angel so much in love
Ill stay with my dream, it takes such a dream
And even a fool learns to love

Our Own Greatness

We do not need kingdoms
To be kings, we do not need
Lands and money to be rich
And be powerful and be famous
And be great to the eyes of men

We only need our simple selves
At peace within our hearts
Admiring the greatness of God
And His Wondrous creations

We only need this humble humanity
Inside us always looking at the
Others’ mysteries always thinking
The true world beyond us on this journey

Our own greatness lies in our being ourselves
Knowing what we are and fulfilling the purpose
Of why we are here and what we are destined to be...there

Greatness

You want to be led to greatness.
You believe that it comes,
Without pain and sacrifice.
You perceive it to be a condition taught.
Something instructed or can be bought.
Something delivered upon your acceptance.
But no one known that is considered great...
Waited in anticipation to have it placed,
And presented on a plate as they safely ate!

Greatness isn't something someone takes.
Greatness is announced...
After someone has been trounced,
Through the trenches!

And 'remarkably' survives.
Surprising even the one who is stunned.
This was not a consideration,
In the mind of one who kept focused...
On what at the time,
Needed to be done!

And greatness was bestowed,
By what one did and showed!

Rising to heights,
Inspite of opposition!
And not submitting to a conformity,
That sits and seeks to be led!

Greatness is ahead of those,
Following!
Those feeding,
Upon wishes to be fed!
By that which has been left,
To nibble and taste...
From pioneering explorations!
In a desperation to succeed!
And most times discovered,
In disregard of danger!
In disregard...
Of blood one might bleed!

Of Thunderous Accolades

Moments of greatness,
Do not come and bestow themselves...
Upon the shoulders of those in waiting.

These moments of greatness are achieved,
By those unlikely to believe they are deserving.

They are not self serving types of people.
They are people of deeds!
Not folks perceiving themselves as great.
To adorn an ego to be pleased.

They feel themselves to be just common folks,
Who accomplish from depths of purpose.

Not those who are on the surface...
Anticipating to salivate acknowledgements shown,
While thrown in the center,
Of thunderous accolades!

The 'Potential' For Greatness IS There

If a greatness is indeed appreciated,
Wouldn't it take more than one to satiate the taste?
It would lessen the propaganda.
And the hype of it would not be faked.

'Well...
Okay.
Let me say...
The 'potential' for greatness is there.'

mmm...
That makes the taste of it easier to take,
Somehow.
That way,
My expectations aren't set so high.
And I can determine what is given,
More delicious than it is!
You get my point?

'I think so.
YOU want to determine,
The 'greatness'.
And when and 'if' that should be labelled as such!
Giving 'you' a purpose to encourage and spread the word.'

Of course.
I don't want to have it enforced.
I would think you would want my expectations to rise!
To declare something 'great'...
Leaves it to be criticized and opened to be downsized.

'Maybe we should hire you to do our marketing? '

Well...
As you yourself stated,
The 'potential' for greatness is there.

'I now can see,
The point you are making.
The potential for greatness 'IS' there.'

Exactly!
There is no need to overwhelm the message.

Keep It Precious

You brought me to trust you brought me to tears
In one tender touch the pain disappears
I have been to the sword seen it come seen it die
As we enter the dark I bessech you to try
In prophecy all good things must end
So take care my love my friend
Keep it precious
Keep it precious

This yielding is fine this promise rare
One day at a time we've agreed to dare
Holding you tight with wide open arms
I'm letting you go no stranger to harm
Go on ride your way do not break or bend
Just take care my love my friend
Keep it precious
Keep it precious

And the wonder let the wonder never cease
And the madness of the pleasure and ecstasy
Danger believing me
Wounding and healing me please
Keep it precious

I believe in your eyes I believe in your fate
I believe we can fly on the wings we create
A voice from behind calls up anger and fear
We can silence that scream it's simple and clear
Nothing must die only if failed to mend
So take care my love my friend
Keep it precious

Walk Out Of It

When you sell your body like a prostitute, who gains?
You are harming your body with many diseases;
Get out of this business as soon as possible,
Because the heaven's precious beauty vanishes in you.
To err is human but,
To learn is very precious to your soul.
Having three kids without a husband doesn't mean that,
You are older than 'Methuselah';
Because age doesn't matter when it comes to wisdom.
Why boast of the children gained from prostitution?
Come out of this act before it is too late.
