False Tenets and Promises

How often have you heard this expression: “ Well, sorry to say, this is my nature.” Just what is the nature of Man? Why are we such a predictable lot? Why is War our bed partner? These questions and many more can be asked but never really given satisfactory answers without stepping on toes that would bring the wrath of these elitist down on our heads.
Unfortunately for all of us, we come into this world with existing governing systems predicated on certain tenets and creeds. These opinions, doctrines, or principles held as being true by persons or especially by organizations. Yet never allowing future generations the privilege of researching these systems that are responsible for our very own nature, without an inquisition around the corner.
Apparently, it is much easier to burn these (true) inquisitors at the stake, metaphorically speaking, than risk having a house built on a sandy foundation, crumble.

The seeming nature oft presumed be Man’s
Is nothing less than some abstracted mode,
Conceived in dreams, contrived within human
Invention; dreamt-up folly episodes.
A dream is oft-involuntary mind
Sensations, not of serious award.
Consisting mostly of surreally kinds:
Unreal phantoms most assured ignored.
For some we note in highest places rule
The masses minds. Imaginary creeds,
Assumed the truth, but nonetheless a cruel
Inhuman whimsy borne o’er time, indeed!
Depose these charlatans! Divest their robes.
Expose their vile intentions. Burn their clothes!

Thirteen Lines

A brain peered through stoic eyes;
Yet all it saw was rendered into
Flawed interpretation –
No honoured contemplation of a
Gluon, muon, quark of any flavour;
Nor a vision or conception of its world
Within a universe anthropic in its physical laws,
Inside a boundless multiverse.
All it gleaned and modelled
Bore parochialism well beyond belief! –
Delusional perhaps.
Survival only matters here on planet Earth –
Evolution saw to that.

Tortured Nature

Nature must be love
It is made by god above
Nature is in place
Nature is always with grace

The nature is green
It is colorful when seen
Nature is serene
It is peaceful ever seen

But people is bad
They make mother nature mad
When nature gets mad
It feels like the wrath of god

Disaster of nature
Is enough of your torture
Nature is flower
It gives love like a lover

Firewalls

Adapt to writing on the wall,
respond, react not, and recall
that Nature tries to overturn
the status quo, so learn to spurn
rigidity which all in all loses touch with base.

Some species rise to swiftly fall,
lose ground to others, Nature's call
plays games with all as cycles turn,
return to nothingness and burn
idols which before Time's squall held pride of place.

Yet Nature's churning free-for-all
recuts Life's cards, acts to forestall
stagnation as new species learn
to thrive from niche advantage, earn
some space to find the wherewithal to old replace.

Observe the Himalayan wall
trace trilobites in steep Nepal
call all to witness, deep discern,
the folly mind-sets rigid yearn
adjourning evolution, stall 'to save the race'.

All systems needing overhaul
at any time tend to install
firewall tools, or sempiterne
defensive mechanisms burn
their bridges, fall self-defeating victims to Time's chase.

Omar Khayyam assured 'The ball
no questions asks' both great and small,
iron clad, fruit fly, must return
to dust from dust, as atoms earn
a chance to dance again with grace.

A Boon Nature Is For Man!

Man has to learn great lessons from not books but Nature!
Education provides just the fundamentals and foundation,
Basing which he has to build world learning from Nature.
So, he has to go out of the portals of education to Nature!

Nature is everywhere and man is part of Nature forever!
If he enjoys animal pleasure or aesthetic pleasure or
If he intellectually explores truth or mystically enjoys bliss,
If he digs or builds using Earth, it is one and the same!

Nature is living scientific art man has to explore the truth
With his heart, mind and soul through woman, art, Nature!
Five elements of Nature like air, fire, water, land and space
Man is made up of and is everywhere he has to explore!

His exploration will help him how to transform himself to spirit
And mingle himself with the all pervading spirit of bliss in Nature!

Matthew Arnold

In Harmony with Nature

"In Harmony with Nature?" Restless fool,
Who with such heat dost preach what were thee,
When true, the last impossibility—
To be like Nature strong, like Nature cool!

Know, man hath all which Nature hath, but more,
And in that more lie all his hopes of good.
Nature is cruel, man is sick of of blood;
Nature is stubborn, man would fain adore;

Nature is fickle, man hath need of rest;
Nature forgives no debt, and fears no grave;
Man would be mild, and with safe conscience blest.

Man must begin, know this, where Nature ends;
Nature and man can never be fast friends.
Fool, if thou canst not pass her, rest her slave!

Why Are We So Greedy

To the Earth Mother who feeds us disrespect we do pay
That future generations may have to pay for one day
Of stealing from Nature's resources billions some do make
Why are we so greedy that we take and we take?
In disrespect for Nature through innocence lost
The success of us humans could come at a cost
The ways of Mother Nature we do not understand
We pollute the air, seas, waterways and land
'Tis Nature resources made the oil dealer a billionaire
Yet of Nature's beauty such types not aware
We do not own Nature though to her we belong
And to her many of us have done wrong
And for our crimes against her future generations may yet pay
That seems a sad thing for to have to say.

Country Walking

I walked a league and o'er the moor;
I walked and walked as ne’er before,
And on to walk from dale to hill
And on again to claim the thrill.

Behold! that walking does for me:
The senses heightened, mind of glee,
While rolling vistas pass me by
To swell the heart, enthrall the eye.

Gaia’s Plan

Please, don’t sweep the leaves away –
Their essence gives to life’s decay.

Never hack the flowers down –
Their colours bless the laughing clown.

Now why the mowing of the lawn?
The severed grass will lie forlorn.

Let our flora live undressed,
Or under Man, will toil repressed!

I, the tree of standing still –
Erect and proud, and stout of will,
Aglow with motley bark of earth –
Advance my roots for all they’re worth,
Internalising Nature’s bowels
To snag the devil, tweak his jowls
And pull his hairs from whence they grow!
I’ll destroy his pagan show
Of Homo sapiens’ disrespect!

The humble ape must reconnect
With Gaia’s plan!

We Are Part Of Nature

We are part of Nature to her we belong
Those who tell you otherwise they have got it wrong
The only God or Goddess I can claim to know
Lives in Nature and my wonder of her only grow.

As much as the sheep or the goat or the cow
Or the blackbird who pipes upon the leafy bough
Or the wildflowers that bloom on the banks of the stream
We are part of Nature or so it does seem.

We are part of Nature it does seem to me
Though some with my opinions may well not agree
To Nature we have to return to one day
And in her earthy bosom our remains will lay.

As much as the koala or wombat or roo
Or as much as the black or the white cockatoo
Or as much as the echidna or the emu
We are part of Nature that fact remains true.

The Goddess who feeds us why must i explain
That we are part of Nature must i say it again?
As much as the blossoms on the leafy tree
We are part of Nature you as well as me.

You Say Your God

You say your god is the one true god of that how would you know
For that your god is the one true god what proof have you to show
If others say their god is the one true god does that mean they are wrong?
If there is any god at all to god all does belong
Apart from Nature i do not believe in a god does this mean i am bad
Or that I'm one of the Earthly damned or in some way strange or mad?
Those without visible proof who believe in god must be greater than me
I look towards the sky for signs of god but clouds i only see
But mine just the opinions of a misguided one
Who will not be remembered for anything good he has done
A cynical old fellow who questions almost everything
'Tis only of the Nature Goddess he only ever sing
And when you say your god is the one true god that is your point of view
But why condemn those who believe quite differently to you.

Anatomy Of A Dream

It amazes me how a dream
Is contrived from reality;
Fine-tuned to a subconscious scheme
played out nightly, surreally.
Take any dream for example:
It most frequently manifest
Itself via random samples
Of recall that had been suppressed
Which the subconscious mind reveals
Through abstract sensations expressed
Involuntary and unreal-
Most forgettable more or less
Are these colored and black and white
Series that’s conjured every night.

Of Life And Of Nature

I knew just as much about them fifty years ago
Of Life and of Nature as now I do know
Though from our dealings with people we learn every day
We learn as we live as some are known to say

But Nature of course is a different thing
And though the praises of Nature the Poets may sing
And though from living near Nature insights from her we do gain
Her secrets from us as great mysteries remain.

Even since the invention of the first motor car
Human kind in technology have gone so far
But the greatest are mere mortals just like you and I
And great minds are born and great minds must die.

The achievements of human kind doubtless are great
But Nature out of nothing something can create
And about Nature and Life today fifty years ago as much I knew
But each day from living we learn something new.

Mist Upon the Placid Morn

Bleed out your beauty, Autumn –
Give up a gentle wrist, and smear
Your bloody hues atop the green.

Cast a calming throw of heady peace
Upon the cooling land.
And as you grant the sun a final fling of warmth,
Charge the silent air
(Now lolling on a foliar deathbed)
With earthen whiff to intimate the fungal push.

Soon you’ll send a shiver down the watery spine of
Quivering ponds, punctual brooks, and
Listless lakes, to warn them of the freeze to come.

Behold! your mellow spirit
Hanging as a mist upon the placid morn –
A sight that draws a sneaking tear or two – forlorn
Observers are we all of colder climes to view!

Autumn Lady, must you be the summer waning –?
Our adieu to fairer-weather life?
Ah well, at least you hum a warming tone, ensuring
Nature’s rhythm still abounds.

But now you must prepare the mind for chilly times –
You know the drill –
Guiding us along a sloping path
To ease our psyche in to sleet and snow –
The blue-ice bite of winter.

Just Leave Me To Nature

In Claraghatlea near Millstreet my life's journey began
And in that old Townland i grew into a man
But i cannot say where my remains will lay
I will be with Nature and that is okay.

I will be with Nature and it will not matter to me then
If i am not remembered as one of the great men
Who were of a benefit to human kind
For centuries of fame i do not feel inclined.

I've heard her birds sing and I've breathed her air
Just leave me to Nature of me she'll take care
And even if my bones to ashes will burn
I was born of Nature and to her I'll return.

Just leave me to Nature for to rest in peace
From the cares of living I'll have found a release
In Claraghatlea near Millstreet i first saw light of day
But i am not to know where my remains will lay.

Just Leave Me With Nature

A stranger to any success or renown
And if I should die far south of old Millstreet Town
It will not matter to me then where my bones will lay
Just leave me with Nature and I will be okay
Does not matter if they bury me or to ashes me they burn
From Nature I came and to her I'll return
In immortal Mother Nature so much to admire
And of singing her praises could one ever tire,
The wonders of Nature is an amazing thing
And the praises of Nature with joy we should sing
We are part of Nature it does seem to me
Though many with my thinking may not agree
To your unseen God you may kneel for to pray
But in Mother Nature's bosom your remains will lay.

My Beautiful Nature

Nature is the beauty of the earth
The essential part of life,
It is the existence of humanity
Although there is constant strife.
Nature is rather appealing
The image of its green,
The human eye can testify
Its a gracious sight to be seen
Nature gives us fruit and water
Our blessings from the holy king,
It purifies and cleanses the body and soul
Its amazing what nature can bring.
Nature is sometimes downgraded
By the evils of mankind,
But nature brings herself back up
And she will not be left behind!
I love nature and appreciate everything it gives us...you should too!

A Mystery of Dreams Explored!

Is dream born out of poetry or poetry out of dream?
Imagination is foundation for both coupled with passion!
Imagination, emotion and dreams weave poems of fantasy
To take one to the world of exotic nature from Nature!

Nature is the mother for all passion, dreams and fantasy
Urging to spin countless poems of heart to kindle thoughts
That mystics in communion with Nature explore high
To Stars, galaxies and heaven to bring divinity to human!

Sans a sense of feeling born of pure passion in Nature long
No sensation of exotic feeling can drive one to explore
Mystically the mysteries of miracles to discover divine spirit
Dwelling deep in all things of wonder present all over Universe!

Indwelling spirit in all activates mind in quest of wonders
Abound in Universe to realize Universal Spirit to reach at last!

Leave Nature's Resources With Nature

I'm one of the many who does love Nature though Nature does need every friend
Of late she is not looking healthy otherwise why should we pretend
That all is well in Nature's Garden when all is not well there at all
Our crimes against Nature are many and any crime against Nature not small.

For our senseless polluting of Nature the price yet may be huge to pay
To our Earth Mother the one who does feed us we act in a disrespectful way
We pollute our natural environment with the resources we steal from Earth Mother that does not seem clever to me
Leave Nature's precious resources with Nature at least that is how it should be.

Humankind as a species quite successful that does go without any doubt
Yet when I say to some we are not friends of Nature they say to me what are you on about
They see no wrong in digging up the ground for it's resources or stealing oil from the floor of the sea
They are entitled to their opinions though we all look at things differently.

The Polar ice caps slowly melting and climate change is Worldwide
the talks of an Economic Depression have pushed Global warming to the side
But the financial economy is built on Nature and to Nature all of us belong
And 'twould seem in our dealings with Nature that we have our priorities wrong.

As I ventured to the Wood

As I ventured to the wood,
I stopped to draw on dewy air; let
Droplets shimmer in my hair, that
Rested on my tranquil head – as
In a sense of cosy bed.

As I ventured to the wood,
A gesturing cuckoo perched above,
And then in song with cooing dove,
‘You're welcome’, bade he, ’Enter please
To roam our land with gentle breeze.’

As I ventured to the wood,
A fallow deer of limpid eye
Gave care to glance at lucky I.
The heavenly aura 'bout her glow had
Charmed me, like a fine Bordeaux.

As I ventured to the wood,
A dazzling flower waved her face
In blazing show of dance and chase, and
Reddened bright in shade of dawn, she
Flirted like a prancing fawn.

As I ventured to the wood,
A butterfly had graced my arm,
And knowing I bid him no harm, he
Splayed for me hypnotic wing in
Colours for to urge me sing!

As I ventured to the wood,
The radiant sun shone down on me.
He flushed and beamed ‘I say to thee,
You bless your land; be filled with pride, and
Cherish e’er yon countryside! ’
