Doom and gloom

Oh, lordy! The nuts are at it again.
Their paranoiac claims abound today.
Oh! So often I heard their sick refrains
Expounding, predicting the end of days:
Armageddon is near! Sinners prepare
Yourselves! Never once have their claims come true.
The poor souls! Victims of hopeless despair
Terminal crazies, if only they knew
How ridicules they sound to the sane
Yes, sane! Those who bank on a bright future
Instead of those fantastic, inane claims.
I ask you, how much more can we endure?
Their latest claim is now two thousand and twelve.
Hold onto your bibles [laughs] brace yourselves!

Fantastic Duo

You have been my rock.
Like it there or not.
Chip to pebbles from this boulder.
But a strength is held,
As if moltened gold.

You know.
You know.
You know you know.

You are there in my mind alot.
Feelings we've known don't come to a stop.
Because of an argument I or you can not drop.

You know.
You know.
You know you know.

Fantastic duo!
You know.
You know you know.

We've been that rock.
As a duo.
You know you know.
That just wont stop.
As a duo.
You know you know.

And whatever claims you want to give me shade,
Don't gloss or laminate it.
Duo.
Duo you know!

We've been that rock.
As a duo.
You know you know.
That just wont stop.
As a duo.
You know you know.

And whatever claims you want to give me shade,
Don't gloss or laminate it.
Duo.
Duo you know!

Fantastic duo!
You know.
You know you know.

We've been that rock.

A pinch of Salt

A title does not signify
you are in fact a gentleman.
Aristocrats can cheat and lie
as readily as any man.

alleged degrees don’t guarantee
that you possess intelligence
They can be purchased easily
by those who lack the common sense

To know that titles and degrees
although intended to impress.
Are counterfeit as currencies
which are in fact quite valueless.

You can’t expect to get respect
because you a titled man.
I see no reason to accept
your claim to be a gentleman.

Some people are fooled easily.
Accept your claims at face value
but some are wise enough to see
that what you claim may not be true.

A scholar and a gentleman
is not too hard to recognise.
I’m’ sure you will find that you can.
If you just use your ears and eyes.

Do not be fooled by their pretence.
The claims they cannot verify
Rely upon your common sense
The inner voice you can’t deny.

Why should you show them your respect.
They show but small respect for you.
Its wiser to be circumspect
until they prove their claims are true.

Somebody, Somewhere Claims To Have Proof

Many with a minature flow grown old,
Have overblown and exposing bluff that disrupts.
Just to get the followers of doers to give up...
What they know effective and correct,
And not corrupt...
'Cause,
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof...
That the doers are the losers.
With lies they tell and try to hide.

Many with a minature flow grown old,
Have overblown and exposing bluff that disrupts.
Just to get the followers of doers to give up...
What they know effective and correct,
And not corrupt...
'Cause,
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof...
That the doers are the losers.
With lies they tell and try to hide.

Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof...
But,
Where is it?
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof...
But,
Does it exist?
And...
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof...
That the doers are the losers.

Can a duck pass as a pheasant?
And...
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof.
But...
Where is it revealed?
And...
Somebody, somewhere claims to have proof,
Kept hidden and concealed.
Yet...
Somebody, somewhere confuses truth,
That those who 'Do' are not the losers.

Protesting In The Nonsense Called Denial

Like it to accept or not,
But those sharing deceits...
Are people of equal mentalities.
To gather together to make claims of being neglected.

And those looking for physical differences,
To live one step above the other...
Forget,
On which common soil...
There is a placing of similar footsteps.
With the going through the same process.
To gather together to make claims of being neglected.

And to make accusations they do,
That are seen to be reflected and familiar...
Only upsets the ones refusing to see themselves.
And those who refuse to see themselves,
Are all over the place...
Protesting in the nonsense called denial.
And...
To gather together to make claims of being neglected.

Decay to Rust, Dust And Fade

I am not here to compete with dead poets.
Or those with pseudo ambitions,
To foster claims this is what they do.

My depictions are alive,
To represent times lived today.
I wear no mask to imitate,
Those from a past who have passed away.

This is two thousand and twelve!
Not the seventeen hundreds.
Although there are many,
Wishing these times to return.

The landscape today,
Has more censors and critics...
Desiring the past for them will stay.
But even today will decay to rust, dust and fade.

Arthur C. Clarke

Perhaps it is better to be un-sane and happy, than sane and un-happy. But it is the best of all to be sane and happy. Whether our descendants can achieve that goal will be the greatest challenge of the future. Indeed, it may well decide whether we have any future.

He Battles His Dogs Of Despair

The years have left him looking gray
And he has known a far better day
Around his balding head he has lost more hair
As he battles his dogs of despair.

Though from it's side effects weight he does gain
Medication it does keep him sane
And though all of his good days are gone
His fight is to keep keeping on.

And to live for as long as he can
For what use is a dead woman or man
So he will live till the reaper's call
The one who claims the life of all.

One who has contemplated suicide
When his will to live all but had died
But he is one who has hung in there
For to battle his dogs of despair.

In life 'tis not easy to win
But he never threw the towel in
He bravely faced life's road ahead
Fortune do favour the brave 'tis said.

Mental illness it has ruined his life
Robbed him of the chance of a wife
But to his great gift of life he says yes
As he battles with illness and stress.

Night Lit Bright Their Signal

Formerly, one knew on sight the ones
who walked with economic purpose.
One had criteria: the color
of their robes, the meter
of their stroll, the semaphore of their
cosmetic blare.
One knew that night for them was dawn,
that night lit bright their signal.
Today, my pastor claims,
one must inquire of them all.

Byron

To E

Let Folly smile, to view the names
Of thee and me in friendship twined;
Yet Virtue will have greater claims
To love, than rank with vice combined.

And though unequal is thy fate,
Since title deck'd my higher claims
Yet envy not this gaudy state;
Thine is the pride of modest worth.

Our souls at least congenial meet,
Nor can thy lot my rank disgrace;
Our intercourse is not less sweet,
Since worth of rank supplies the place.

Shock And Terror

the psychotic dress the senseless feature
it terrifies every living creature
predictability is wearing thin
groundbreaking practice for the preacher

clowns mortified by my expression
breathing new life into invention
and gagging the maggots with a weary hand
has failed to leave any impression

the shock and terror keeps me sane
the shock and terror keeps me sane
does anybody feel the same?
the shock and terror keeps me sane

up now for seven days and wired
the concept of sleep is way too tired
and I've dialed in a plan to reinstate
your sense of humor has expired

the shock and terror keeps me sane
the shock and terror keeps me sane
does anybody feel the same?
the shock and terror keeps me sane

Insomnia

Reading magazines and counting sheep to pass the time away
Hoping that tomorrows gonna bring a smile home again
Images of palm trees swaying in the wind on south beach
Takes me back to better days, summer days the everglades in june
My brain, my poor brain
My brain, my poor brain
Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia
Flying high in golden skies, Im flicking channels in my mind
Finding my utopia a different chapter in a book
Thinking back to younger days as I escape in coopers break
It takes me back to 84 the futures knocking at my door
My brain, my poor brain
My brain, my poor brain
Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia
Turning off a switch inside me, leaving all the stress behind me
Flying over streams and houses, passing over the wye valley
It takes me back to 84 the futures knocking at my door
My brain, my poor brain
Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia Im drinking myself to sleep again, nightnurse pills to keep me sane
Drinking myself to sleep again, insomnia.

Too Familiar Stitch

There are people everyday,
Who make false claims.
Putting the blame for something done,
On someone else.
To then pretend their complete innocence.

A pattern develops.
And this is witnessed.
With false claims made to damage others...
Eventually admitted.
After a pattern sewn...
Shows a too familiar stitch!

Calling ourselves crazy and sane alternately.

But if sane is sane as the world describes it, we'll be crazy happily!

Extraordinary

You think that I go home at night
Take off my clothes, turn out the lights
But I burn letters that I write
To you, to make you love me
Yeah, I'd drive naked through the park
And run the stop sign in the dark
Stand in the street, yell out my heart
To you, to make you love me
I am extraordinary, if you'd ever get to know me
I am extraordinary, I am just your ordinary
Average every day sane psycho
Supergoddess
Average every day sane psycho
You may not believe in me
But I believe in you
So I still take the trash out
Does that make me too normal for you?
So dig a little deeper, cause
You still don't get it yet
See me lickin' my lips, need a primitive fix
And I'll make, I'll make you love me
I am extraordinary, if you'd ever get to know me
I am extraordinary, I am just your ordinary
Average every day sane psycho
Supergoddess
Average every day sane psycho
Supergoddess
See me jump through hoops for you
You stand there watching me performing
What exactly do you do?
Have you ever thought it's you that's boring?
Who the hell are you?
I am extraordinary, if you'd ever get to know me
I am extraordinary, I am just your ordinary
Average every day sane psycho
Supergoddess
Average every day sane psycho
Average every day sane psycho
Supergoddess
Average every day sane psycho
Average every day sane psycho

Nobody Else

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make claims that they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make those claims they had it when they did.
No!

The sharing space all in my face.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or sharing toothpaste not replaced.
Nobody else will get to know.
To get that close to me no more.
Nobody else will get to know...
Snuggling up when they get cold.

NO!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make that claim they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make those claims they had it when they did.
No!

How I look before I'm dressed.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or how I look in nakedness.
Nobody else will get to know.
Blemishes exposing flaws.
Nobody else will get to know...
What I like or what I hate.
Since my mind is back in shape.

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make a claim they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make one claim they had it when they did.
No!

I'm not giving up a bit of my peace to leave it!
Oh no.
I'm not seeking anymore to wound and heal.
Uh, uh no, no!

I'm not giving up a bit of my peace to leave it!
Oh no.
I'm not seeking anymore to wound and heal.
Uh, uh no, no!

No more bending or giving in!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
No more bending or giving in!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those doors once open now are closed.

The sharing space all in my face.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or sharing toothpaste not replaced.
Nobody else will get to know.
To get that close to me no more.
Nobody else will get to know...
Snuggling up when they get cold.
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
And no one will ever get that close,
Again!
No, no!

And no one will ever get that close,
Again!
