I was sitting in the field, feeling the grass.
Counting the stars as they come out.
Feeling (feeling) the breeze, (feeling the breeze)
Feeling (feeling) the spring. (feeling the spring)
Suddenly I noticed there wasnt light anymore.
Run, run, run, run, run to the light,
Run, run, run, run, run for your life.
I tumbled on roots, stumbled on stones.
Lost my marbles, stepped on my glasses.
Feeling (feeling) the air, (feeling the air)
Feeling (feeling) the wind. (feeling the wind)
Suddenly I noticed it wasnt fun anymore.

I came out of the darkness into the house,
The lights were left on but nobody around.

'Bound, ' a word I fear when all thing's near,
my past, myself I choose to hide.
But of bound, my fear drawing near; my world I denied.
Is there no hope? My life is bound, my life's profound still I hide.
I long for freedom I cannot grasp.
To have you understand, now while I clasp my truth I dare not speak.
Why can't I love with shadows covering?
Just for once, the feeling of free; my path before me, broken.
My arms, my legs both strapped to this pedestal whom I called life;
my eyes blinded by strife.
My tongue cut out before me so I may see,
there's no hope for me yet; but I regret it all.

The New Word
the great word of blessendness
and a feeling of ease
a cup of the well of freedom
and life we joyfully drink
inside, all was new, but outwards
nothing had changed
an escapade,
then to the altar to
evaluate all parts
of the great mystery
but all remains
on the same spot,
no signs of a new season
in my hand is a new word,
but the word is still
without a body
a hidden life-stream that
swells in the deep

One Word That Best Defines Life
“Life” is a word not easily defined
It can be described in so many ways
Can be described as easy, just as well as a grind
Described as a whole, or a phase
Describing the word “life” is almost an impossibility
At least that’s the way that I feel
But if I had to choose the word…. I best thought it to be

A Drink
With glass, I am a man – or so I think! –
A role to play when blessed with courtly drink:
A gin or two, then vintage port or wine
To pep me up and gift me with a shine.
I know it’s false, as I now must depend
Upon my daily shots with open end.
Insidious, it all becomes routine
To beg a drink each day for self-esteem.
