All are against me and say I can't do it
To change habits so hard
A social disease not up to par.
You just not smart enough.
You too poor, and dumb to learn anything.
You disgusting, ugly, and make me want to vomit.
Over and over again words are said to humiliate and defame
It makes you want to change your name.
Disappear to a new world.
A world where, I can defend myself with greatness
Where I can treat others with kindness
And it never be considered weak
Or your motives questioned.
Oh hes sucking up so you won't say what everybody else said
Like that is bread everybody should be fed
Who are you judge what you don't understand
A man so disorganize and distraught
Hes caught
Destine to fail
I say NO HE'S NOT! !
With a knife hes cut himself free
With anger he writes and practices
Methodically he tells all his stories
Most far from great.
But this is how he starts to relate.
Explaining everything as he see it
Becoming part of it as he reads.
Only on a paper can you be who ever you want to be.

They slither wildly as they slip away

Illusive Change, Yet For Whom

I'm tired of trying to bring about change and make a difference,
Maybe the world too is tired of fighting to bring about change,
But who will make the change if the world is tired as well.

Yet as men, we do have a part to reinstate the goodwill,
And for whom is the change? Will it be yours or theirs - once?
Me or you and them? If i try to make a change, is there a chance?

Maybe it won't be befitting into your own space,
And if you try to change it, will it include my life in it?
I'm tired of trying to change the world, because the change
That I want does not fit into other people's lives.

Somehow maybe there should be a compromise,
But compromise - it seems - has a hard time
Fitting itself into this world. So, how am I to find a change,
And be a part of a conflicting world that is suppose to be for you and
Me... A wish to just survive and live satisfactorily, but how...?

One Cannot Change The World

One cannot change the World so why even bother to try
Since the fundamentalists out there do their best to deny
Others of their beliefs those who to them think differently
Extremists of any sort seem dangerous to me.

One cannot change the World but by good example one can lead
One cannot grow crops if one doesn't plant good seed
If everyone changed themselves for the better then all wars would cease
And there would not be mistrust and hatred and there would be peace.

One cannot change the World for that much help one would need
But where one would fail many might succeed
If billions changed for the better the war men would not have a say
And beautiful peace would be with us to stay.

For to change the World one can play a part
By helping out others out of kindness of heart
Down the pathway to peace you are leading the way
And with help from many the World may change for the better one day.

Kindness
Is somthing I born with
I can't help, but being nice to everyone
I can't say no
I hate it to make people sad
I know I can't pleasures everyone, but I try any way
I treat people the way I want to be treat
I like to help anyone with their problems
Seeing someone happy make me happy knowing what I did
I don't tell them how I feel because I rather not
I'm fine with this
Noone can't change me and try make me bad
Because this is me

Im waiting for someone to find me
Someone to pick me up
And make some use of me
In this life of wild adventure
Theres so much I could give
Now thats what I call positive
The words that Ive read
Keep going round my head
Been driving me crazy for years
Everybodys talking

Talking of your plans of change.
A world you think you'll conquer.
With eloquent words.

So Many Like You

You tell everyone of your greatness of how wonderful you think you are
And they wink behind your back when you tell them of your recent big buy your brand new car
They look on you as rather boastful since your own praises you only sing
In self esteem you are not lacking and that in itself is a good thing,
Those you tell your success stories to their own success stories only like to tell
They are not sincere in their praises when they tell you that you have done well
You do not understand that many others are like you their own success stories they like to relate
And though out of politeness they say you have done well
they do not really think you are great
Many like to tell of their own successes and of the successes of others would rather not hear
For many into self promotion or at least that's how it does appear
So many like you have big egos and for to promote themselves are not shy
And why they sing their own praises to others is not hard to understand why
Since we live in the age of the aspirational so many to greatness aspire
And only those who are seen to be successful are people that others admire.

Letter To A Young Poet Revised

Letter to a young Poet

Dear Raman, so you want me to read your poem and state my opinion.
Well, you are fond of words and you are stacking them up in your poem.
That is a good thing; clearly you are a man who reads a lot.
So you want to be a poet, poetry is self indulgent pass time it doesn’t
change anything, no one reads it, other than cranky people. Should
a poet writes something nationalistic that resonance with, a nation’s
pride, like: “my country is the best in the world.” He will get a medal.

So why don’t you become an engineer or failing that, a cook. The world
doesn’t need, anymore academic poets who forever repeat what poets
of yore have said. For the common man a poet is regarded as a figure of
fun who spends valuable time putting useless words together to make
sense of a world he doesn’t understand. As my father said, when my first
poem was published: “How much did they pay you? ” If my words have
not scared you off, you’re a poet. The only tool you’ll need is honesty.

Rubbish Tip

At the rubbish tip they place their words

Just on the edge of

Surreal and absurd

A gold leafed edge

A lettered page

At teh rubbish tip

They stage

Their acts in

'THREE PARTS SCENE ONE'

Then you arrive

By stage door three

With a broken heart

All at sea

With the rythmn

Of the words

They left you to say

Can't see the wood for the trees today

At the rubbish dump

The hungry sit

Wide eyed

Death in their mouths

Waiting to eat

The bread of the words

The crumbs from a table

Of rotten verse

Yet still they come the blind and the dumb

Sit up and write

Recite it all night

Without a pause

Or space for 'applause'

READ THE PAPER!

It makes more sense to believe in

The tablod lies

Than live in a world of man made pretense

Take your tongue from your cheek

The fibre glass from your eye

BETTER NOT TO SAY A THING

Change is something that must come;
Change is good for everyone.
Change is something that will come;
Change is one we must welcome!

Change is good if one’s better;
Change is better to be best;

Change is the key to all success!

Let’s change our attitudes in life;

She starts the day, paints on another happy face.
Gets all dressed up to meet her friends at the usual place.
All the the while she's longing
Just wants to belong.
