The Poor Old Woman

The poor womans struggle.
Alone, and to old to find another as the way she sees it.
Disabled and so afraid of the unknown.
Trying to keep her 3 cats warm and fed.
But the rent has to be also paid.
10 dollars more a day if she is late.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
And she in it for long haul.
Winter has come and gone.
Now spring has arrived and is suppose to be here.
This is suppose to be the easy time of year.
But all April has been so much colder then usual.
Freezing temperatures.
Ruining her would be garden.
Wood Pellets stretching her money thin.
Sleeping in her truck.
To save herself.
Their is no rue in the waits to thicken the soup.
It is the forsaken loop.
Being repeated all over the place.
We must break Americas curse.
We must help others stand on their two feet.
While not falling down ourselves.
If we do our part, and do what is right.
They're would be nobody living in such a existence poverty.
Just because their old doesn't mean they don't have feelings.
It doesn't mean they suffer any less.
And when I see this woman living off of 500 a month.
I'm just disgusted with our government.

Last Living Souls

Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Take a gun
Or how you say
That's no way you behave
Just a law, a new begin
Sing a song that doesn't sin
And it grows
Hey, you know
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last to get away to some another day?
Do we know
Well, we know
Doesn't seem to be complete
Are we, are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Get up, get up, get up, get up...
What you say?
Cause all I was on
I got it down wrong
I see myself to get
And the Lord, seeing all now
Can you take us in
The part that comin' on
The coldest man doesn't see it's all
We go to the car
I see you walk to the far
And when you get there do you see
You fit the last you need on me
Cause we're the last living souls
We're the last living souls
Yeah, we're the last living souls
We're the last living souls

Living On Borrowed Time

A-yodel-ay-e. Hoo. Hoo. Hoo.
Well, I'm swimming in debt and the money's all gone
I ain't got nothing I can call my own
Worked my fingers to the blood and bone
For a big disappointment when my paycheck comes
If I only had a little I could do just fine
I could put a down payment on some peace of mind
But I'm hanging at the end of a credit line
Lord, I'm just living on borrowed time
My truck's financed through the Union Bank
But I don't have enough to even fill the tank
I'd take you for a drive, girl, but I just can't
Cuz the damned ol' motor won't even crank
My trailer's plenty big if we lived outside
But I can't swing the payments on a double wide
Better hold a place in that welfare line
Cause I'm just living on borrowed time
Chorus:
If it comes real cheap but it don't come free
Then it stays off limits to a guy like me
They say it brings trouble having money to burn
I reckon that's a lesson I won't have to learn.
Lord! Lord! Hmm-mmm.
Chorus
Yeah, I bought my wife a little diamond ring
Her mom said, Hon, can't even see that thing
It'll be paid off when I'm 65
If I'm lucky enough to still be alive
Even if I was to up and pass away
My family doesn't have enough to dig my grave
No tombstone just an old wood sign saying
He was just living on borrowed time
Out there swinging from a credit line
Lord, I'm just living on borrowed time
Lord, I'm just living on borrowed tim

The Witness

One day I 'know' I am going to find
That someone in my life
Who will appreciate me for who I am
And not who they believe I am suppose to be
For them
To be in their lives

Many years ago when I decided I would stop,
Using God
To allow God use me
I realized exactly what I wanted
It became easier for me to see
And although it is 'still' a struggle mentally
I am making attempts to be temptation free
That
Is not easy
Living in a world set up with obstacles
And paths to deceit and defeat

But
One day I 'know' I am going to find
That someone in my life
Who will appreciate me for who I am
And not who they believe I am suppose to be
For them
To be in their lives
And God is going to be The Witness of this gift bestowed

No Access To Fast Food, Branded Clothes And

The creation of nations,
that have passion,
for money and power,
is the absolute poverty.

Not having the access,
to shelter, food and clothing,
to have a healthy living.

Fifteen percent Americans,
fall under poverty line,
and they earn,
less than,
ONLY 22K American dollar,
per year.

In other parts of the world,
people live,
in appropriate poverty,
and they live on,
2 dollars a day,
six hundred dollars a year,
five people can eat,
have shelter and simple clothing,
still they are healthy.
slim and fit.

Europeans are clever,
to make the people to believe,
that they are poor,
earning only 800 Euro a month,
Which is above,
the average annual income,
of many developing nations,
where people have,
no access to any wealth and health.

All of us stay in the same earth,
but the value of properties,
and the rental acquired,
through the properties,
differ substantially.
Politicians of the poor nations,
have abysmal knowledge on economics.
To be a rich nation,
we should have values,
but these clowns are short sighted,
to look at the value,
of their own properties!

Do not say that they are poor,
because the term poor itself,
will be ashamed,
for using its credibility,
for wrong purpose.

Please do not call them poor,
when the nations are able to provide them,
the food, shelter and health care.
Find a suitable word,
and leave the poor alone,
who have no access,
to any of these comforts on their own,
and their nations,
are unable to provide them,
the access to the comfort.

Reason for writing this poem.

The feelings of the poor are the same through out the world, irrespective of the countries that they are staying, but the proper definition for poverty should be clarified before classifying the people as poor, which means the poor of one country may be considered as the rich in another country. Then what is the real meaning for poverty?

A Filipino Fed Up In Chicago

AND so one day he got fed up
Worrying about his bills
Light, cell phones,
Apartment rents
Meals and what to eat
Next month
No money to
Send to the
Philippines

There is no work coming
And the old man he took care of
Died a month ago

Bad luck

He is vacant
He could not go to the malls
There is no money left for the week
And there is no work coming
No one is offering to help
And he worries

About his telephone bills
His credit card
His rent
His SSS
His unrenewed passport
His expiring visa
His debts

One day he goes outside
It is quite cold
Colder now
The snow is coming

He smokes his cigarette packs on the park
A middle-aged American woman stares and tells her

“Smoking is bad for your health
You are polluting the earth”

Just a little advice

But his head is hot and
Hot temper is what is steaming inside
He is fuming mad to that middle aged American woman
He is also fuming mad about
Himself to be honest
About it

“Shit shit shit, I smoke if I want to
I use my own money to kill myself
F###k YOU!
Mind your own American business
In this free country I can smoke anytime I want! ”.

He knows how to curse now
In the most American way
For just a year or two
he was a timid Filipino
he was the meek citizen
of this world

And he smokes all day in the park
his packs of cigarettes in the park
Puffing and puffing and breathing and breathing
Releasing all his dismays in cold air

He can see his bleeding heart
His cursing

“f##k you! ”
'f$$k you! '

in the freezing air
his cursing is a big bold font
in the atmosphere

His cell phone does not have any load
And he cannot call anybody

And he remembers well the latest old
Jewish rich man which he took care of
who died a month ago

One day the old man fell on the floor
The one who shitted him all day
he still could remember
fully well
all the old man's yell

spell: F$$K YOU! '

The old man could not stand
back
He was big, fat, and dying

He did not help him stand
He merely stood there askance
And the old man shouted and growled

“Shit shit you Filipino
Help me stand from here”

'F$$K YOU FILIPINO! '

And he said
WITH ALL STRICT COMPOSURE
SO SURE OF HIMSELF NOW
with a little authoritative
moral advice
like he was a wise man

“Rich American now is the time
for you to
Command all your mighty dollars

your mighty dollars
your mighty dollars
your mighty dollars

To help you rise and make
You, young and strong again! ”

The old Jewish rich man died
Due to cardiac arrest.

And now he is out of job
No money
No promises

And one day now
He finds himself smoking himself to death

On this cold dark wildlife park south of

Chicago.

When Spring Is In The Air

You always know
when spring is in the air;
the trees start to show
their blossom everywhere.
Birds go through the ritual
of picking their mate.
Love seems to touch
every living thing
at this time of the year.
Slowly courting couples
will emerge from winter’s cold
and find the warmth of spring.
The sun will give us its grace
and warm breezes will blow.
Calling to everyone,
wake up spring is here.

Who You Are

Someone's drinking all alone
Someone's left the TV on
I don't suppose, no I don't suppose
Someone's sleeping in my bed
Someone's let the genie in
I don't suppose, no I don't suppose
You know who you are
Who you are, who you are today
Baby's gone and died again
Taken by the tide again
And it's no surprise
She hates goodbyes
Someone's folding paper planes
Someone's on the line again
Someone's crying at the sonnet
Someone's hiding from someone
I don't suppose, no I don't suppose
You know who you are
Who you are, who you are today

Suddenly Strange

Fire inside my shoes
Still walking forward
but back to you
I suppose I must be stuck with you again
This joke is wearing thin
I know its time
I know its time to go
And just so you know
This secret part of me never showed
And when you run around like you don't care
I'm suddenly aware
I know its time
I know its time its
Suddenly strange I can hardly complain I'm
Down the stairs and I'm out the door its
Suddenly colder it bowled me right over
I'm down again I suppose its over now
Don't ask me how
But it didn't take much to figure out
And you know I'll go acting really tuff
And giving back your stuff
I know its time
I know its time its
Suddenly strange I can hardly complain I'm
Down the stairs and I'm out the door its
Suddenly colder it bowled me right over
I'm down again I suppose its over now
Fire inside my shoes
It's over now

Suppose We Should Feel Happy

Suppose we should feel happy for to live another day
When one more wealthy person by the reaper called away
Into the life hereafter if there be such a thing
Who can say of this paradise where happy angels sing.

Suppose we should feel happy though circumstance we curse
We may not have much money though things could be far worse
And we ought to count our blessings for our good gift of health
Though it would seem a bonus to add to that some wealth.

Suppose we should feel happy and we ought not complain
If we can't afford the roof repairs though it always leaks in rain
This is the Christian principle 'be happy with your lot'
But how can you feel happy if money you haven't got? .

Suppose you should feel happy though the rent is overdue
And the landlord for his payment is pressurizing you
And your fridge is almost empty and not much food left to eat
And you and your wife and two young children might soon be on the street.

Suppose we should feel happy though we are in the red
And we can't sleep for worrying we toss and turn in bed
And the refrigerator is empty and the child cry to be fed
And suppose we should feel happy 'those words are easily said'.

A Womans Worth

You could buy me diamonds , you could buy me pearls
Take me on a cruise around the world
Baby you know Im worth it
Dinner lit by candles, run my bubble bath
Make love tenderly to last and last
Baby you know Im worth it
Wanna please wanna keep wanna treat your woman right
Not just told but to show she is worth your time
You will lose if you choose to refuse to put her first
She will if she cant find a man who knows her worth, mhmn
Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man aint afraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just cant deny a womans worth
If you treat me fairly Ill give you all my goods
Treat you like a real woman should
Baby I know your worth it
If you never play me , promise not to bluff
Ill hold it down when it gets ruff
Baby I know your worth it
She rolls the mile makes you smile all the while being true
Dont take for granted the passion that she has for you
You will lose if you choose to refuse to put her first
She will if she cant find a man who knows her worth. oh
Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man aint afraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just cant deny a womans worth
No need to read between the lines, spell it out for you
Just hear this song cuz you cant go wrong when you value
A woman,woman,woman, a womans worth
Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man aint fraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just cant deny a womans worth
Cuz a real man knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man aint fraid to please her

The Sparrows chirp at my window sill

I know my little birds
It's pretty warm outside
And you try to open the window.
This is not my home dear
Somebody elses?
And I pay a handsome rent
Once in a month.
If it delays a late fee comes as an unknown friend
And if not paid definitely they open the window
And throw me out
Bring another poor Saint?

*Most probably in a dream if I am not mistaken, I told my beloved wife;
'Darling if I make a platonic love with the beautiful widowed Landlady, we could have quit from the rent for sometimes! '

Rescue Me

Another tragedy in the news
Someone shooting down the right to choose
It doesn't seem at all that they chose the right way
Another law I heard got passed today
Someone's trying to take my rights away
It doesn't seem to me they chose the right way
It's out of my hands but stuck in my mind in time
I find my spine is crooked in design
I want to be so much more (I wanna be so much)
Rescue me
Take this hand, by myself, alone I stand
Rescue me
From this world, from myself, before I grow old
Someone rescue me
Does anybody ever feel this way?
Does anybody have the guts to say?
way)
Who am I to say I disagree?
Who am I not to change a thing?
way)
Repeat Chorus
Here it comes again
Excuse too weak to stand on
I'm falling off
Too weak to stand on
I'm falling off
Too weak to hang on
Falling for you to catch me (catch me) (x2)
I'm afraid
That no one is changing
whos to blame?
Someone SAVE ME!!

Angels

Angels..
do you believe in angels?
do angels believe in you?
which question, the more sensible?

suppose angels
to know greatly more than us..
suppose, that’s why they’re there…

suppose, they know space is not fully real:
enter it knowingly, to deliver us
a holy message, wearing whiteness, light,
which would announce them
truthful, good of all good, and beautiful..

suppose, they know time is not fully real:
enter it knowingly, to deliver us
a message that’s eternal, phrased
in terms of human life, direct, immediate;

suppose them, to be untroubled
by human frailty: knowing all
they need to know; messengers
of love beyond all love;
rejoicing in the heavenly joy
of living under perfect law..

suppose… suppose…
that all this living metaphor,
so recognisable to human mind,
lives in each human heart..

Bouquets of Flowers Colors Flow

Times are going here and there
With lots of summer everywhere
I felt bad in the winter's high
With not much to live for or die
Feelings dreary are always gone
Into the blank and darkness done
Never a right place to be living
Nothing to have no sunshine giving

Bouquets of flowers - colors flow
Dawn of summers moods spin
The rising skies where clouds go
Everything of day is coming in
You and I with pleasures’ need
Everything yesterday didn't show
Colors green and growing freed
No more frost or winter's snow
What is real is all now in here
In the fragrance sweet morn air
And a garden so full of its joy
The winter's mood not to deploy

Feelings dreary are always gone
Into the blank and darkness done
Never a right place to be living
Nothing to have no sunshine giving

Times are going here and there
With lots of summer everywhere

Dog Days of Summer

It’s a hot and lazy time of year
With temperatures rising high
A body doesn’t want to work
Doesn’t even want to try

It’s time to lie around and rest
Not exert much energy
It’s too hot to work but rather
We want to take it pretty easy

And if you do have to work
Either do it early in the morn
Or after the sun goes down
Sometime before the dawn

Oh how nice it feels
On these dog days of summer
When the sun drops down
The day has turned a bit cooler

So in the midst of winter time
When snow is on the hills
Dog days of summer sound
Kind of good amongst the chills!

Gettin' Sacrificial

When you see me believe me...
I am doing just what I do,
Like you.
Living my life and doing that right!

When you see me believe me...
I am doing just what I do,
Like you.
Living my life and doing that right!

I can't be bothered by those sobs that drop.
Or sit with pity partiers,
On the block.
Or listen to the whining and the crying,
With the moans.
From grown folks acting like kids,
They've disowned!

I know,
It's getting harder everyday,
For some folks to stand on their own.
Alone!
I know,
It's gettin' sacrificial when the rent gets paid on loans.
I know that,
Many have flopped from the top!
I know that,
Honesty for many has stopped.
I know...
It's gettin' sacrifical just to keep,
In a safety zone!

I know,
It's getting harder everyday,
For some folks to stand on their own.
Alone.
I know,
It's gettin' sacrificial when the rent gets paid on loans.

When you see me believe me...
I am doing just what I do,
Like you.
Living my life and doing that right!

I know that...
People don't eat,
Can't sleep.
I know that many feel they're living on a meter.
I know that...
People are disgusted with their leaders.
I know that...
Misery is spreading through the air.
I know...
Some folks wanna do it,
But get screwed
Showing they care!

I can't be bothered by those sobs that drop.
Or sit with pity partiers,
On the block.

I know that...
People don't eat,
Can't sleep.
I know that many feel they're living on a meter.
I know that...
People are disgusted with their leaders.

Good God...
It's gettin' sacrificial just to keep,
In a safety zone!

Yes I said,
It's gettin' sacrificial just to keep,
In a safety zone!

Return To Nature

Suppose I am one who has a big ego I did have big plans once I do recall
But egos are a thing that inspire in us the need for success and are part of human nature after all
And now that my ego is a bit deflated and others I don't feel need to impress
Something perhaps that came with the realization that my life never has been a success.

Still I am one who finds solace in Nature and Nature the only God of which I know
I've always marvelled at her strength and beauty and still my admiration for her only grow
I had a church God when I was years younger but I gave my unseen church God away
And I returned again to Mother Nature and in her bosom I will rest one day.

The free born birds that sing in Nature's garden each species is distinctive by their song
And the fox that hunts for rabbits in the paddocks these creatures all to Nature's World belong
And the wedge tailed eagle soaring in the calm sky a very large and fearless bird of prey
Too is a part of Mother Nature's World and in Nature's bosom this bird's bones too will lay.

The swallows fly to warm climes in Winter and return home to greet the warmth of Spring
And chase insects o'er the valley where they first saw daylight and as they fly one hear them chirp and sing
How they can find their way to a far Country in late Fall and in the Spring find their way home again
Is something for which scientists can offer theories yet somehow seems beyond them to explain.

The World is quieter in Mother Nature's World for man made noise to Nature doesn't belong
On sunlit tree beside the rippling waters the thrush in Spring is singing all day long
And Nature she presides o'er all her Seasons and she has seen so many Seasons come and go
Her flowers of Spring and Summer and her brown leaves of Autumn and her hills of Winter wear white hats of snow.

I do not worship false Gods any longer and I returned to Nature years ago
And though Mother Nature has so much to teach us so little about her I seem to know
Yet I feel happy to walk in her garden and along the bank of her quiet water way
'Twas an act of Nature brought me to this World and I'll return to her bosom one day.

Spring Is Gone

As the coldness creeps closer
The bitterness begins to grow
The sun left us alone
Now that spring is gone

The air grows heavy
The frost eats up my skin
Flowers died on this ongoing trend
Winter has finally come

The Moon gain power over the day
He puts the sun to shame
The trees will lose their souls
Winter has a heavy toll

I am reaching for the sky
For the stars that will always shine
And wish on a shooting star that spring
Will awaken and come back to save me

Death rules this time of year
And drifts away
Living souls shall shed a tear
Winter is filled with sorrow

The sun will never shine
Upon whom winter wrath, will be taken
Everyone will be forsaken
On this oak pine

Spring left our world
Leaving us for freedom
We didn't treat spring right
We don't have the right to keep her
Winter has given us the punishment
And we shall take it

The So Called Good Economic Managers

Due to Government mismanagement we see a society in decay
And the wealthy at the expense of the poor get wealthier it should never be that way
In so called affluent Western Nations people live rough on the street
Without a place to call home to out of rubbish bins they eat.

The Government due to so called good economic management get re-elected but the poor getting more poor
And for the youth of the poor Suburbs job opportunities are fewer
And many young people never find employment because of their address
And lack of career opportunities give rise to feelings of hopelessness.

Life is tough for those in the poor Suburbs where poverty is rife
From the day that they are born they must struggle on through life
The Monarch became Monarch due to birthright doesn't life seem so unfair
Whilst millions are dying of hunger in the bigger World out there.

The so called good economic managers are back in power again
But from their good economic management only the wealthy gain
And even in so called wealthy Western Nations there is widespread poverty
And more people dying of malnutrition than ever before in the twenty first century.

On The Federal Election of 2001

All I see are two ageing power hungry men squabbling for the lion's share
And who will win Howard or Beazley? don't ask me as I do not care
The Labor party and the Coalition seem very much the same to me
As neither of them have once promised for to combat poverty.

For the growing scourge of poverty they don't offer any cure
But then suppose not many votes in the favouring of the poor
And not many of the homeless vote when it comes to polling day
But who could blame them for their apathy when they must live in such a way.

When I hear talk of budget surpluses by the major party politicians I feel cause for concern
For who will keep the budget in the black ought not be hard to discern
It's the working poor and the very poor who always suffer the most
And because of neglect for them the Government of their budget surplus boast.

Who will win the Federal Election that won't be worrying me
For whoever forms Government won't be combating poverty
They squabble for the lion's share and seek their own renown
And they only Govern for those at the top end of the Town.
