Remebering The Never Again
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to defend for everything that's been given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello my friend
the demon have come to me
they made whispers louder then thunder
they told me i better not make another blunder
or my fun would be over
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to promise to defend for everything was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello again
I'm going to try to mend somethings
over and over again
i kneel down
just to feel something so real
a kiss goodnight
and the rooms goes dark
i shut the door
never to venture back anymore
bring me in
let me in
I'll promise to defend everything that was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood and guts
hello for the last time
i guess things have changed
and that's fine
i really don't mind
kind as you are
your still to far
your picture i have captured in a jar
forever embedded in my jagged memories
bring me in
let me in
ill promise to defend everything that was given
your driving me nuts
your spilling my blood guts
but its finally over
over oh over

We Just Go Nuts At Christmastime
Up the driveway, down the walk
Oh, janets hair is like her moms
Whos got her own, but acts like somethings
Different from the eyebrows up
Seems like only yesterday
Our d-i-v-o-r-c-e
I love you both and yuletide is pure
H-e-double-l for me
And we just go nuts at christmastime
Thats when everything falls apart
We just go nuts at christmastime
But its another year before were together again
Hi, this is john of they might be giants
As youre driving down the highway at 100 miles an hour with your head wagging out the window,
We urge you, please, put down the phone
We just go nuts at christmastime
Thats when everything falls apart
We just go nuts at christmastime
But its another year before were together
Again

A Promise to Keep This Secret
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
Why would somebody have an elicit affair?
With a promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
And do it while sneaking around,
In the clear open air?
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A friend can be a friend to another,
Until the end.
But a friend can not be trusted,
When a cheating begins.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
And a friend can't be expected to defend a friend.
When that friend is also 'friend',
To those who swap and cheat on spouses...
Of,
Other friends!
Oh.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
When those swapping spouses sneak from houses,
Living just next door???
Keeping this a secret is a hard job.
When those swapping spouses sneak from houses...
Living just next door???
Keeping this discreet is just too hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.

Face To Face
Anderson/squire/howe/white/sherwood/khoroshev
Here we are trying to mend all the broken hearts
In a world where the pain is the fear
Aint no doubt theres a method to madness here
Set your clock to the start of a brand new year
Shine your heart to the universe and get the news
Not alone never have been, never will be
See the truth, not to mention the promise made
See them all, see them all high on judar rhythm
We began at the very first spring
How the promise will come when the promise is made
We will sing at the very first spring
That the promise will come when the promise is made
Promise is made, promise is made
Shake me up, take me up
Face to face
Lift me up, shake me up
Face to face
Make me real, make me longing to see you smile
Shall we dancing, shall we be the dancing down under
In this life of lives, are we ready to take the chance
Moving to the rhythm, here at last to
Believe
To believe
We began at the first real spring
How the promise will come when the promise is made
We will sing at the very first spring
That the promise will come when the promise is made
We began at the first real spring - ya
We will sing at the very first spring - ya
We began at the first real spring

Promise is made, promise is made

I Can't Promise You
I can't promise you
that dark clouds
will never hover
over our lives
or that the future
will bring us many rainbows.
I can't promise you
that tomorrow
will be perfect
or that life will be easy.
I can promise you
my everlasting devotion,
my loyalty,
my respect,
and my unconditional
love for a lifetime.
I can promise that
I'll always
be there for you,
to listen
and to hold your hand,
and I'll always do
my best to make you happy,
and make you feel loved.
I can promise that
I'll see you through
any crisis,
and hope with you,
dream with you,
build with you,
and always cheer you on
and encourage you.
I can promise that
I'll share my dreams
my world,
and every aspect
of my life with you.
I'll willingly be
your protector,
your advisor,
your counselor,
your friend,
your family,
your everything.
And I believe that's
what love is truly
all about.

Dont Back Down
The girls dig the way the guys get all wiped out
With their feet in the air you can hear em shout
Theyre not afraid (dont back down, dont back down)
Not my boys (dont back down, dont back down)
They grit their teeth, (a-oo) they dont back down
Dont back down
You gotta be a little nuts
Dont back down
But show em now whos got guts
Dont back down
Dont back down from that wave
With their feet full of tar and their hair full of sand
The boys know the beach like the palm of their hand
Theyre not afraid (dont back down, dont back down)
Not my boys (dont back down, dont back down)
They grit their teeth (a-oo) they dont back down
Dont back down
You gotta be a little nuts
Dont back down
But show em now whos got guts
Dont back down
Dont back down from that wave
When a twenty-footer sneaks up like a ton of lead
And the crest comes along and slaps em upside the head
Theyre not afraid (dont back down, dont back down)
Not my boys (dont back down, dont back down)
They grit their teeth (a-oo) they dont back down
Dont back down
You gotta be a little nuts
Dont back down
But show em now whos got guts
Dont back down
Dont back down from that wave
Dont back down...

I Promise You (Trijan Refrain)
Oh love of mine, Oh love of mine,
Come to me in this day,
I'll save you from this world's opine
These judgements I will slay.
I'll hold you in my arms so tight
And shield our love with all my might...
I promise you
I promise you
Oh love of mine, I'll always fight.
Oh love of mine, Oh love of mine,
I'll always keep you warm,
Through thick and thin, it will be fine
I'll shield you from the storm.
Through all the battles and the wars
No matter their rank or their scores...
I promise you
I promise you
To keep love strong, what's mine and yours.
Oh love of mine, Oh love of mine,
I'll fight this to the end,
I'll put myself on the front line
To be there to defend.
I'll never let them take our love
This gift was given from above...
I promise you
I promise you
Our love they'll never deprive of.

No Surrender
We busted out of class had to get away from those fools
We learned more from a three-minute record than we ever learned in school
Tonight I heart the neighborhood drummer sound
I can feel my heart begin to pound
You say youre tired and you just want to close your eyes and follow your dreams down
We made a promise we swore wed always remember
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Like soldiers in the winters night with a vow to defend
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Now young faces grow sad and old and hearts of fire grow cold
We swore blood brothers against the wind
Im ready to grow young again
And hear your sisters voice calling us home across the open yards
Believin we could cut someplace of our own
With these drums and these guitars
We made a promise we swore wed always remember
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Blood brothers in the stormy night with a vow to defend
No retreat, believe me, no surrender
Now on the street tonight the lights grow dim
The walls of my room are closing in
But its good to see your smiling face and to hear your voice again
We could sleep in the twilight by the river side
With a wide open country in our hearts
And these romanics dreams in our heads
We made a promise...

You And A Promise
She was nervous,
She was late,
She left it up to fate,
Standing at a phone.
And she knows what she wants...
And she came here to take it...
How perfect it could be, you and me.
And she met him at the door...
"I don't want you anymore..."
Remember what you said.
You and a promise.
You and a promise.
You...
He turned and he didn't wait.
He walked right through the gate
So glad to be alone.
And he knows who to call...
"I'll always be there for you.."
"Call me anytime..."
I don't mean to offend,
The voice on the other end
Is a stranger to me.
You and a promise.
You and a promise.
You...
And they say to themselves...
And they say to themselves...
"How could I ever let this happen?"
You and a promise.
You and a promise.
"Take me back, I let this happen."

It's A Promise
When I get up in the morning and see first light
I remember it's a promise
When the sun begins to set with color
I remember it's a promise
When I stare up in the darkest night, and see brightest moonlight
I remember it's a promise
When a ray of light slices the clouds and it's pure
I remember it's a promise
When I see the majestic forest of green tree
I remember it's a promise
When I see the blue ocean
I remember it's a promise
When I see the sparkle of a star or the shining of the sun
I remember it's a promise
If I look into the stars and see a galaxy
I remember it's a promise
Somehow everything will be fine like the world around me
Because in everything there's a promise
And when a promise is bound by unfailing love
It can't be broken
That's a promise.

My Promise to You
I can't tell you
What the future will bring
But I can tell you
This one thing
I love you and I will always take good care of you
This is my promise to you
I mean this from my heart
Honest and true
Like a mama bear
You are my little cubs
The ones I am always thinking of
For you are a part of me
When I look into your eyes
I see a part of me
I promise to guide
You through every storm
For every achievement
That is ever born
I will be there to cheer you on
I will always be strong
Never will I ever let you see
A tear that I cry
I don't ever want you to
Worry or wonder why
You deserve the very best
And nothing less
God gave you to me
For that I am truly blessed
For all the joy that you bring
To my heart
So I will do my part
By making a promise to you
I will always take great care of you
This I promise you.

The Junkie's Prayer
This tidal wave
My life overtaken
I surrender again
To the piercing of my flesh
Blood spilling
Pulsating veins
One more time
And, tomorrow...
I promise to stop.

I Promise You
i would walk through the moon and the sun just to be with you i promise.
I promise to be there for you in all of your times of joy and sorrow.
I promise to climb the highest mountain and swim the deapest ocean for you alone.I promise to make a new memory with you each and every day with you.I Promise to cry a million tears and walk a million miles to be with you.I promise to live and care for you without change.I promise to do anything for you just to see the beauty of your ravishing smile.I promise to find a new way to see fires of passion burning.I would buy a thousand rose for you just to se you smile i promise.I promise to be the best dad to our children.I will laugh with you, i will fight with you, i will share the same breath with you i promise.I promise never to steal, lie, or cheat. But if i'll steal, i promise to steal away your sorrows. And if i'll lie, i promise to lie with you all thd nights of my life. And if i'll cheat, i promise to cheat your death, because i couldn't live a day without you.I promise you.

I Love You (Wedding Vows)
I do not love you for who you are
but for what you make me,
for how you bring the days to meaning,
touch me with love
and that you look past my mistakes
that I look wonderful in your eyes
and that you
and that you
love me and here I bring you honour.
I do not love you for who you are
and take you Daleen
to a eternal union
as the only one
and I promise to trust you,
whatever the future holds
and I promise
and I promise
that my love will not abate.
I do not love you for who you are
and whatever comes
in every joy and hindrance
I do declare before Him
that I will stay with you always,
that continually I will love you more
that I will,
that I will
try to lead you to Jesus Christ.

I Promise
I won't run away no more, I promise
Even when I get bored, I promise
Even when you lock me out, I promise
I say my prayers every night, I promise
I don't wish that I'm strict, I promise
The tantrums and the chilling chats, I promise
Even when the ship is wrecked, I promise
Tie me to the rotten deck, I promise
I won't fool around no more, I promise
Even when I get bored, I promise
Even when you lock me out, I promise
I say my prayers every night, I promise
I won't fool around no more, I promise

Keep The Promise
(j.p. maunick/r. bull/r. taylor)
Felt so good when we started
The future burnt so bright
From the moment our eyes met
We knew that it was so right
We have each other
And I believe we have the power
To make it happen
Chorus:
(keep the promise)
(can we keep the promise)
Can we keep it
(keep the promise alive)
Oh
(keep the promise)
(can we keep the promise)
(keep the promise alive)
I believe in the notion
We have dreams to fulfill
I believe in forever
I know that I always will
You are the reason
Baby I cannot shake this feelin
Lets make it happen
Repeat chorus
It gets better, it gets stronger all the time
And Ive discovered that theres one thing on my mind
Keep the promise alive
Chorus to fade
