A Make Believe Paradise
Living on the edge of financial disaster.
From the depth of my soul screams of poverty.
So scared of what the future might hold.
Walking down a street trying to pass my self off as a business man in ragged cloths.
Writing down my stories on napkins like a famous author you may know.
Living in the woods, trespassing on others claims to land.
Watching out for someone who might have a gun in hand.
Seeing right front me a posted tree.
Keep out or face the consequences.
Vagrants are never welcome.
Using everything I know to survive when money can no longer be made.
Building a camp fire to stay warm under a bridge.
Only when the river is down or I might drown.
How many times can I be knocked down?
How many times must I go through this?
Before something of a true and steady calling is found.
Lay off after lay off, encircle haunt and taunt me.
A jack of all trades.
A master of none.
A pleasure of working for fun.
From digging hands in the earth, to cutting some wood with a chainsaw.
Even the crows are cawing at my future.
They hope I will die.
Take everything away from a man and what does he got left.
A basic instinct.
Primal to the time of 18th century.
On foot I have always traveled, and once again I might be forced do so.
When the rent backs up and the electric keeps running.
Will the unemployment be enough.
How will I put food on my table when I lose my place in which I live.
I pray whole heartedly my side job succeeds.
With almost no money to put into it.
And customers expecting to be fronted the fix.
Quite a predicament, so apparent I can feel myself going ghostly white in a make believe paradise.

A Lovely Old Lady
Her smile it betrays her for her rotting teeth
That lovely old lady that I often meet
Out walking in the park or on the main street
Too careless of her looks to know of conceit.
The story of her life may never be told
Alone and forgotten she is growing old
For empty bottles that she sell for a few pence she searches every rubbish bin
A tiny financial reward for her seems such a big win.
For those on the poverty line their needs are small
What sort of a World do we live in at all?
The gap between the haves and the have nots has grown ever wide
The face of hidden poverty we no longer can hide.
From amongst the wealthy who pride themselves in their generosity
One need not travel far for to see poverty
In a World where many lust for wealth and fame
For the multiplying poor we must all take the blame.
A lovely old lady her I often meet
She doesn't have money for to fix up her teeth
She never ignores me as I pass her by
With her toothless smile she always says hi.

Scared
I'm scared of life and what i'll become
I'm scared of not being able to go on
I'm scared of what will happen
I'm scared of your reaction
I'm scared of letting go
I'm scared of what i don't know
I'm scared of losing you
I'm scared of being used
I'm scared of being hurt beyond repair
I'm scared of whats out there
I'm scared and so alone
I'm scared and searching for a place to call home
Will you hold me and fight away my fears
Will you tell me it's gonna be okay and wipe away my tears
Will you hold my hand as i walk through the dark
Will you stay and not leave or break my heart
Will you be there to pick me up when i fall down
Because i really need someone right now

Beautiful Disaster
He drowns in his dreams
An exquisite extreme I know
He's as damned as he seems
And more Heaven than a heart could hold
And if I tried to save him
My whole world could cave in
It just ain't right
But it just ain't right
Oh and I don't know
I don't know what he's after
But he's so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful
Or just a beautiful disaster
He's magic and myth
As strong as what I believe
A tragedy with
More damage than a soul should see
But do I try to change him
So hard not to blame him
Hold me tight
Baby hold me tight
Oh and I don't know
I don't know what he's after
But he's so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful
Or just a beautiful disaster
I'm longing for love and the logical
But he's only happy hysterical
I'm searching for some kind of miracle
Waiting so long
Waiting so long
He's soft to the touch
But frayed at the ends he breaks
He's never enough
And still he's more than I can take
Oh and I don't know
I don't know what he's after
But he's so beautiful,
He's such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful,
Or just a beautiful disaster
He's so beautiful
Oh he's just so beautiful
He's so beautiful

Genie
(HogarthKellyMosleyRotheryTrewavas)
[One Way Street]
I let the genie out of the box
I let the genie out of the box
I'm scared of everything I am
I let the genie out of the box
I'm scared of opening the can
I let the genie out of the box
I had this recurring dream
I was living another life
In another country
In another time
As I got older the dream began to fade away
Until one day
There she was.. tapping me on my shoulder
She says she's got so much to say
But she's not telling it today
She said "Come back when you're alone"
But I'm not sure I want to know
Cause maybe her road
Is a one-way street
Maybe her road..
I'm scared of everything I am
I'm scared of opening the can
I'm scared of losing who I am
Think I might've taken all I can
I let the genie out of the box
She said there's a house in your mind
An attic of treasure, a forgotten pleasure park
Waiting inside you in the dark
Don't leave it behind
Don't leave it behind
I'm scared of everything I am
I'm scared of opening the can
I'm scared of losin' who I am
Think I might've taken all I can
I let the genie out of the box
I let the genie out of the box
Out of the box

The Shadow Inside My Shadow
poverty is not my cousin,
is not my lover,
is not my preacher,
poverty is not my brother.
poverty is not my prayer,
or the song that i sing
is not my answer
poverty is not my dream.
poverty is not my teacher,
not the hand that i hold.
poverty is not my anger,
not my spirit, not my soul.
ah! but this poverty is real
it races thru my mind
crashes into my heart,
& leaves me deaf and blind.
poverty is my companion.
the aching cold inside my hollow.
the blow behind my eyes,
poverty is the shadow
inside my shadow.

I'm So Alone
I'm so alone, there's no one here
I'm so alone and I'm so scared
I sit by myself with no one to care
I bleed alone and I'm so scared
That I'll die alone on my bathroom floor
In a pool of my blood pouring from my veins
With a razor to my wrist til I can cut no more
As the silent pain drives me insane
I'm so alone, there's no one here
I'm so alone and so nearly dead
I sit alone with no one to hear
My bloody screams, I'm so nearly dead
I bleed alone, so full of fear
That I'll die alone, bloodless and cold
Remembering how you sneer and jeer
Remembering how you scream and scold
I'm so alone, there's no one here
I'm so alone and I'm so scared
But atleast you're gone, kuz you don't care
Still I want someone to hold me close and tell me not to be so scared
I'm so alone, there's no one here
To dry my tears as I cry
I bleed alone with no one to care
With no one to hold my hand as I die
Walking and Talking on the Edge-(somnambulism and somniloquence)
1) Walking and Talking on the edge
This way, that way, out of the way
Sleeping Somna' walking semieyed
Walking and Talking on the edge
Sleeping Somni' talking aloud
'Wait, wait, I too shall join'
Walking and Talking on the edge
This way, that way, out of the way
2) Walking and Talking on the edge
This way, that way, out of the way
Somna' semi- fell from upstairs
Walking and Talking on the edge
Talking Somni' fell from the cot
Two friends ended in a strange way

Poverty In The 21st Century
It’s the 21st century
The media displays it day and night,
Poverty.
Poverty across the globe lies
Poverty cries out from the belly of little boys
Little girls, parents too
Desperately searching for food,
Shelter, clothing, for love,
Companion, for attention
Those with plenty, refuse
To amend, a world haunted by
Poverty.
Is poverty affecting the rich?
Are their poverty the same
As the poor in financial constrains?
For they, too, poverty of love
I see poverty in the learned
I see poverty in those whose
Selfish acts are destroying society.
I see poverty in all level of humanity
The world is still an imperfect place
Yet life is still beautiful, the wind
Blows, we see it not, give thanks
For what you possess, now go,
Help if you can along the way,
Help to eradicate poverty
In your surrounding, widen
Your boundary across your
Country, to nations of the world.
Help to fight poverty, now!

The Antichrist
Screams and nightmares
Of a life I want
Can't see living this lie no
A world I haunt
You've lost all control of my
Heart and soul
Satan holds my future
Watch it unfold
I am the Antichrist
It's what I was meant to be
Your God left me behind
And set my soul to be free
Watching disciples
Of the satanic rule
Pentagram of blood
Holds the jackal's truth
Searching for the answer
Christ hasn't come
Awaiting the final moment
The birth of Satan's son
Screams

Shed
I'm like a freight train feelin' no pain
I never turn back one track
Better step aside
Like a shotgun
I'm really someone
You'll feel my heatwave
Won't save anyone near to me
I'm steel
So come and try to bend me if you can, hah
I don't feel
Before you know it it's over
Get out of my way
I'm street walking, street walking
Night stalking, i'm street walking
No reputation
You better quick run
Cause i got no time i'll climb all over you
You need a strong hand
To be a mean man
You've got to think fast
I'll last longer than you could know
I'm steel
So won't you come and try to bend me if you can
I don't feel
Before you know it it's over
Out of my way
I'm street walking
Hey, i'm a wild cat
Don't need to prove that
I'm always howlin' prowlin'
Stalkin' my prey
It could be your night
To feel the dog bite
And hear the slashing, crashin'
Tearin' inside of you
I'm steel
So come and try to break me if you can, no way
Like a wheel
About to roll you over
Get out of my way
I'm street walkin', street walkin'
No talkin', street walking
Night stalking, street walking
No talkin', i'm street walkin', yeah
Street walkin', street walkin'
Night stalking, street walking

Lonely soul
Lonely soul strives to feel
something
anything
to break free
a deadness that lies
a walking corpse
is all i am
Lonely soul
caged, trapped
can't get out
can't get free
no fight left
relentless
weakness gaining upon
Lonely soul
screams out
desperate chaotic screams
yet nobody listens
nobody cares
a lonely soul
is all there is.

Poverty: War Of Today
POVERTY: WAR OF TODAY
melvin banggollay
Poverty abound everywhere
Even in paradise of plenty
As long as there are brothers
Who seldom eat sweet honey,
as long as there are sisters
under prostitution's malady,
when children are still under
abuse and exploitation by many
and as long as there are disaster
jeopardizing life and property.
Poverty is a war and disaster
Hounting every nation today
that can't be won by a leader
without the help of everybody
as it is a war arm with disaster
that can only be hurdled with unity,
frugality, thriftiness with power,
economical spending and industry,
good governance by our leaders
with an undying vow to foster unity
peace and cooperation as brothers
among anyone to preserve humanity.

Object Lesson
Nobody cares, nobody dares.
Show sympathy to such as me.
I’m just a bum, an unwelcome
reminder that you too may com.
to know the depths of misery.
Although you do not want to see,
avert your eyes as you pass by.
You can ignore my plaintive cry.
I too was rich and would not see
that bums deserved some sympathy.
But fate stepped in and fate taught me.
Disaster can strike suddenly.
Reducing men to penury.
From great success to poverty.
Remember this it could be you
here begging for a buck or two.
Just pocket change you can well spare
Can make my life easier to bear
I’m still a man who needs to eat
although I’m living on the street.
You can pass by disdainfully
I learnt my lesson painfully
and so in time my friend could you
in the same way that I had to.
I would much rather earn my way
But fate took all I had away.
She sprang it on me by surprise
perhaps in order to chastise.
me for my inability.
To show a little charity.
to those who had much less than me
I suffered enforced bankruptcy.
I’m not the bum you choose to see.
Today you can look down on me
in the same way I chose to do.
when I was as blind as you.

Push Me
Album: No Excuses
Ever since the world's been turning
It turned away from me
I've been pushed across the planet
To find my destiny
I've been running away from something
Thats deep inside myself
I've been running till that someday
When I reached the border's edge
Refrain:
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like that
Push me living on the edge
The weak play the strong out of fear of what's wrong yeah
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like that
Push me living on the edge
Im sick to death and learned the lesson
I'm still running yet I don't got
Ground beneath my feet - something is tracking me something is wrecking me
I'm still running and I don't have
Time to fall into deep
Refrain:
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like this
Push me living on the edge
Im sick to death and learned the lesson
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like that
Push me living on the edge
Im sick to death and learned the lesson
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like this
Push me living on the edge
The weak play the strong out of fear of what's wrong yeah
Push me I'm living on the edge
Push me I'm sick of living like that
Push me living on the edge
Im sick to death and learned the lesson

Sonnet: The Magic of Poverty
A birth in poverty is luck supreme!
A death in poverty, a great blessing;
A life of poverty is rare a dream;
Achievements great, stark poverty can bring.
’Tis poverty that goads nations do feats;
’Tis poverty that stimulates scientists;
In everything, poverty, wealth just beats;
The greatest men were in poverty’s lists.
And poverty lessens our worries much;
Account to God will be much easier;
Poverty gives the saint a divine touch;
In poverty, poets can fly higher!
Poverty helps to shun worldly pleasures;
A soul in poverty, Heaven allures.

Poor Children
They are the future of humanity
But many of them living in poverty
And without shelter homeless on the street
Searching through rubbish bins for scraps of food to eat.
Poor children are victims of circumstance
In life they never really get a chance
Or have opportunities as privileged children do
The road from the poor suburb to prison leads them to.
From broken homes they are condemned to fail
Their abusive and drug addicted parents serving time in jail
Their parents too homeless in their teen years
On no hope street no laugther only tears.
The Government does not care about those who live in poverty
No political advantage in philanthropy do they see
Their tally men for them have taken note
That few in the poor suburb ever bother for to vote.
Poor children without homes and sleeping rough
And life for them already hard enough
At the wrong end of the social divide
Any chance of a good future to them is denied.

Its only a bend
Stocks tumbling, markets mumbling
Bonds lost the sheen too.
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
Sheets bleeding for the balance investors still sitting on fence...
Catch a breath oh little you,
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
Bulls are dead, bears rule
Only hopes for the greater fool
A pig got slaughtered, was it u
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
Earnings deplete, disaster complete
Fishes fly and the credit dry
The bankers don't even listen to......
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
Terror strikes, time 2 move 2 bikes
How often do u look at skies...
There's someone up there
But I just forgot.... Who
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
Times r tuff n the terrain rough
America’s got cold with the cuff
We should actually sneeze too
Its takes lot of courage to pass through.
BUT
Valuations are great, P/E close to 8
Time to buy n hold it long
To stand tall and stay strong
My Son-just watch the historical trend.....
Almighty jus called to say....
It’s only a bend, not the end.
