Children know and see today

A Letter From the Gulf
Dear Mom,
Today I met the enemy,
In the scorching desert sand,
He crawled out of his foxhole,
He bowed and kissed my hand,
The tears welled up within my eyes
As he cried like a little child.
That man lived among the flies,
And gone the second mile.
There's nothing like the trial by fire,
To teach all men a lesson,
The enemy that I met today,
Turned out to be a blessing.
Is it wrong to love our enemies?
Is it wrong to think this way?
If it is, dear Mom, the world should know,
I learned a great lesson today.
As I write this letter to you, Mom,
I can't help but begin to cry,
To think of all the fragile men,
Who came out here to die.
When this war is done and over, Mom,
And the fighting finally ends,
Do you think the nations of the world
Will learn to now be friends?

What right do you have when you sleep with somebody's wife?

She awoke early with a pep today
A glimmer in her eye and strong step today
She thought of a menu that would bring a smile today
as she thought of her husband so lovingly today

It’s About God
It’s all about The Lord, my God, I can say with a confident nod,
The One, Who sits above the sky, directs the path of you and I,
As this world is in His hands, a Truth not everyone understands,
For with God they’re at enmity, blinded by God’s eternal enemy.
Yet this enemy has been overcome, by God’s Only Eternal Son,
But he still deceives each nation, keeping them from Revelation,
God’s Word, which lasts eternally, in which man will gain victory,
When their eyes are open to see, in Christ, they will live eternally.
Friend, today Christ is in control, of every nation and every soul,
My God can overrule Satan’s call, to save lost men from the fall,
But they need to personally believe, in Christ, as Lord to receive,
Eyes to see God’s Truth and Light, to be rescued from the night.
Today God’s desire for everyone, is to come to Truth in His Son,
Truth, that leads us to salvation, found in God’s Holy Revelation,
Today, with Christ in control, God gives us a choice for our soul,
To listen to His Son’s instruction, or follow Satan, to destruction.
It’s about God, not you or me, Who, in Christ, gives life eternally,
It is Christ, The Eternal Creator, Who God sent, to be The Savior;
We serve God or Satan, His foe, and The Lord wants all to know,
In lieu of death, God offers us life, in His Only Son, Jesus Christ.

Sonnet: My Father- a Noble Soul!
Oh, what a lovely father, we have had!
He raised a family of children ten
In honest ways, God-fearing, never sad,
And put each one on road towards Heaven.
He kissed the sacred ground while entering church;
He taught his pupils scholarly and well;
Of social justice, his mind was in search;
He prayed by heart so fervently, I tell.
He left us education as our wealth;
He spoke to God in silence every night;
His earnings went to keep us in good health;
The world was wrong but he was always right!

The Gift Freely Given
Verse 1:
Our Lord in His mercy gave up His own Son.
He gave us the promise that heaven is won.
Of what did He ask; for Christ resurrection?
Except we follow His word without question.
Refrain:
The gift freely given was paid at a price.
The cost was God’s innocent Son’s perfect life.
E’en though it is over; the death of God’s Son,
The gift has been given, the victory won.

The sin of this world came through Adam and Eve,
And left through our Savior in whom we believe.
Our sins are on him; through his life’s perfection,
And ever shall be through his resurrection.
