Wolf

Never believe all you hear.
Wolves are not as bad as lambs.
I've been a wolf all my life,
And have two lovely daughters
To show for it, while I could
Tell you sickening tales of
Lambs who got their just deserts.

In silence the lambs die

In silence the lambs die
We dine in silence
Do not we hear?
Around the cliff the Eagle is flipping wings
The ocean about to turn in waves
Yet in silence the lambs die
We dine in silence
Do not we hear?

Sheep and Lambs

All in the April evening,
April airs were abroad;
The sheep with their little lambs
Passed me by on the road.

The sheep with their little lambs
Passed me by on the road;
All in the April evening
I thought on the Lamb of God.

The lambs were weary and crying
With a weak, human cry.
I thought on the Lamb of God
Going meekly to die.

Up in the blue, blue mountains
Dewy pastures are sweet;
Rest for the little bodies,
Rest for the little feet.

But for the Lamb of God,
Up on the hill-top green,
Only a Cross of shame
Two stark crosses between.

All in the April evening,
April airs were abroad;
I saw the sheep with their lambs,
And thought on the Lamb of God.

In my book of zoology

In my book of zoology
The wolves are as innocent as lambs
The lambs as cunning as foxes
The monkeys always trick on humans
The birds refuse to be a symbol of anything
The bees are not as busy as you would like them to be
The donkeys are carrot loving farmers
The fish keep the secret of language
To be revealed by dolphins only
The butterflies mock the wingless hands
The mice have outtrapped the mazes
The eagles know the depth of all the sights
The cockroaches are busy with an infinitesimal account
Elephants remember what others have forgotten
The crabs quarrel with Zenonian measurements
The giraffe will always spit if you go too far
The lizard is a wizard of sunbathing
The rainbow is in love with the chameleon

I'm really sorry if you don't understand this
But
In my book of zoology you are either with me or against me

Pan

He knows the safe ways and unsafe
And he will lead the lambs to fold,
Gathering them with his merry pipe,
The gentle and the overbold.

He counts them over one by one,
And leads them back by cliff and steep,
To grassy hills where dawn is wide,
And they may run and skip and leap.

And just because he loves the lambs
He settles them for rest at noon,
And plays them on his oaten pipe
The very wonder of a tune.

The Lions Share

[ music: natalie merchant & dennis drew/words: natalie merchant ]
Can I be unhappy?
Look at what I see: a beast in furs and crowned in luxury.
Hes a wealthy man in the poorest land, a self-appointed king,
And theres no complaining while hes reigning.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
Can I be unhappy?
Listen and agree, no words can shame him or tame him.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are, as you are.
Razor claws in velvet paws, you dunce in your guarded home,
til a stronger beast will call on you and pounce upon your throne.
Do we pay? dearly, for the lion takes so greedily
And he knows that what hes taken, it is ours.
Thats how the wealths divided among the lambs and king of the beasts, it is so one-sided.
Until the lamb is king of the beasts we live so one-sided.

Mary Had Six Little Lambs

Mary had six little lambs-
Six in all had she-
And they did some weird stuff
In their privacy.

Johnny chewed her underwear-
Such a naughty lamb-
While exposing his parts
On a video cam.

Tony was a film producer,
Shooting wild lamb chicks,
Posting them on internet
In some raunchy flicks.

Jim and Greg were real kinky-
All dressed up in drag-
There were recent centerforlds
In the Playlamb mag.

Pam and Suzie looked real nice
With their fine lamb jugs,
They were dancing for old goats
At a local club.

And when Mary was away,
All the lambs got loose,
Having wild and kinky sex,
Doing drugs and booze.

Mary had six little lambs-
Six in all had she-
And they did some weird stuff
In their privacy.

You'll live, but I'll not; perhaps

You'll live, but I'll not; perhaps,
The final turn is that.
Oh, how strongly grabs us
The secret plot of fate.

They differently shot us:
Each creature has its lot,
Each has its order, robust, --
A wolf is always shot.

In freedom, wolves are grown,
But deal with them is short:
In grass, in ice, in snow, --
A wolf is always shot.

Don't cry, oh, friend my dear,
If, in the hot or cold,
From tracks of wolves, you'll hear
My desperate recall.

Lupus

The Lupus

Wolf, feared animal in folktales, is back in north Europe
it was eradicated, or so we thought, but they have been
observed in woodlands wiser than before, they don’t
like sheep and rabbits avoid humans and dislike dogs.
prefer deer though, and wild boars. As historians tell us
never did wolves kill man. But you can’t beat the power
of fairytales, they eat little children and prowling cats.
If this goes on hunters say there will be no wild animals
For us to kill, get rid of them “grey foot” is our enemy.
And dark tales fill the papers, a wolf has been observed
near a kindergarten, spots of lamb blood in the snow.
Wolves are always seen in the mist just like in folklores
Let’s kill them now before it is too late our children get
eaten by those shadowy four legged, satanic monsters.
A question remains thought, why don’t wolves like sheep?

Falling apart
I'm sickening
I'm sickening
Losing my heart
I'm sickening
I'm sickening
Retract
Trying to forget
Trying to protect
5
Crawling this far
I'm sickening
I'm sickening
Soiled and scarred
I'm sickening
I'm sickening
Retract
Lying to subject
Dying to collect
5
I'm coming apart
Finally
Maybe this time I'll forget about you
I've tried
But you keep coming back
Retract
5
I'm coming apart

Wolves Hunger

Wolf with dripping fangs
sits upon its hunches;

waiting still watches
hits upon crunches;

fat fleece farmers
embryo internal scream;

coveting fat succulent lambs
devoured in dimensions darkness;

fat choice profits dissipating.

January

WHILE yet the air is keen, and no bird sings,
Nor any vaguest thrills of heart declare
The presence of the springtime in the air,
Through the raw dawn the shepherd homeward brings
The wee white lambs--the little helpless things--
For shelter, warmth, and comfortable care.
Without his help how hardly lambs would fare--
How hardly live through winter's hours to spring's!

So let me tend and minister apart
To my new hope, which some day you shall know:
It could not live in January wind
Of your disdain; but when within your heart
The bud and bloom of tenderness shall grow,
Amid the flowers my hope may welcome find.

The Coy One

ONE Spring-morning bright and fair,

Roam'd a shepherdess and sang;
Young and beauteous, free from care,

Through the fields her clear notes rang:
So, Ia, Ia! le ralla.

Of his lambs some two or three

Thyrsis offer'd for a kiss;
First she eyed him roguishly,

Then for answer sang but this:
So, Ia, Ia! le ralla.

Ribbons did the next one offer,

And the third, his heart so true
But, as with the lambs, the scoffer

Laugh'd at heart and ribbons too,--
Still 'twas Ia! le ralla.

The Slaughter Of The Little Lambs

(after E. E. Cummings)

In the years when like some innocent lambs
boys were forced
by acts of John Vorster, PW, FW and Co
to the slaughter
of themselves but of mostly enemies;
death, shell-shock came
during the epoch of righteousness
of sister churches

with war raging in Namibia and Angola,
boys lost their souls,
where forever changed, by the killing;
trying to survive,
while generals, that are known, medals drew,
while commanding
from out of danger, from as far away as Pretoria,
in safety and bliss

while every John, Dick and Harry in their country’s love
fought fierce battles,
destroyed Soviet controlled Cuban / FAPLA divisions,
lost limbs, sanity,
were only wishing for tranquillity and peace,
they were sold out,
their bravery trampled, victories lied about as defeats
by a new government,

and some with degrees by affirmative action are jobless.

Sonnet- God, We Seek Thy Aid

In life, we see a war 'tween good and bad,
Between our conscience and science of man;
The joys of sin enticing us are sad,
And from the devils escape, how men can?

If living is a struggle right from birth,
And suffering's the way for men on earth
And forces of goodness appear a dearth;
How can the Righteous ever gain His Mirth?

So, hasten Lord to help the suff'ring souls;
The world has turned unbearable for most;
The devilized men keep changing their roles;
Triumph of Truth appears almost a ghost.

0 pour thy grace 0 God on men who seek;
Lest Wolves devor the Lambs and Ewes so meek.

World At War

All hands on deck.
Were at the brink of another war.
May god save our soul.
For chaos will reign with the hot embers of a past fire.
A holocaust in a sick sense.
A massacre of millions and billions of men, women, and children.
The scale could be devastating.
Life as you know it is over.
No where to hide. isolationism is dead in the water.
We are being taken over and exploited in every way.
Our freedoms gone. slaves to the minimum wage.
Revolt and we all die.
Is this the reasons we sacrificed so many lives.
Forsaken by our own people.
Told that if we speak out against them we must be one of them those terrorist without even making a threat.
Oh what have we done?
Can you yet see the anger of regret.
This battle becomes a guerrilla war.
Every state out for itself.
A completely divided nation.
A collapse of many cultures and civilization.
This is one that no one can win.
No matter the intent.
Another cold war.
Tip toe, in the most round bout way.
Because annihilation will destroy all civilizations.
No backing down.
Great men stroking their ego's with very dangerous threats.
The insanity of it.
A hair trigger please stop before were all done for.
Oppression solves nothing.
Silence the lambs.
Sacrifice those lambs.
Please save all the lambs.
Blood is blood and we all bleed the same.
We all die the same.
Death will not change a thing.
We must negotiate for inner peace for those already deceased.
A tribulation to the financial devastation we brought upon our self.
Can you now see we must cut and soder it off before it destroy us all.
Its not about separation but self preservation.
So the next one that says we should be spending.
Oh yours so wrong.
The moneys already gone.

Anger

Anger irks me!
I abhor persons
Who show tantrums

Not that I don’t get angry
I too loose temper
At timid lambs
Those who bend their heads
To butcher’s knife,
Without a fight
