I Recommend Her
Mathis/henley/brown
Well, if you want someone to tear your world apart
Someone who will give it evrything shes got
If you wanna learn to cry, I recommend her
If you want someone whos really qualified, guaranteed broken heart every time
If you wanna learn to cry, dont let this chance pass you by
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you
Shes had plenty of experience along this line, oh so many times
Shes torn apart this heart of mine, its fascinating, the way she operates
Shell put you down when you think youre finally getting someplace
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you, yes I do
If you want your dreams to end before they begin
Someone who will ruin your life, and then laugh while you cry
Dont let this chance pass you by
I recommend this girl to you, I recommend this girl to you
I recommend her, I recommend her, I recommend her, I recommend her....

To The Wedding Angels
As you promise 'I do'
My mind reflects the wedding
I lost and the white dresses
I burnt.
As the Camera man takes your images
Your beautiful wedding pictures
Remind me of the beauty
Of the wedding day
I lost.

I wanted to define the vocabulary of a wedding both visually and intellectually. The book is about more than weddings or wedding dresses. It's a metaphor for women's lives, their creativity.
I Recommend Everyone Eat Cake
In regards to your digestion,
I would recommend...
The eating of more fruits and vegetables.
'That already poses a disagreement,
As you can see.
Now...
'If' you had 'suggested' the fruits,
And vegetables...
No one here would have ordered,
The icecream and cake.
Just to prove to you,
There are decisions they alone make.
To recommend is one thing.
However...
To suggest implies a willingness to try.
Now no one is concerned about their hips or thighs.'
What a difference a suggestion makes.
'I've been telling you that!
You will learn not to recommend,
But suggest.
The results are unbelievable.'
Hmmm,
I see.
I RECOMMEND EVERYONE EAT CAKE.
'You are wasting your time.
You've got to be a little more pro-active.
Can't you see that is what they are doing? '

Something I Remember....
edu's father
left her mom
for an old woman
with
strategy.
with means.
it is for
citizenship
he justifies.
edu's mom is
a republic.
she says she
does not give
a damn.
and then there is
this edu's wedding.
i am drinking
wine beside my wife
and savoring
my salad.
edu's father comes
and opens a
topic.
know what? divorce is
painful
it tears hearts.
longer than you
can think of.
and i answered.
there is one thing about
divorce.
it is also
a reality.
in fact if you really
need it
for whatever purpose
it serves,
it becomes
one sweet
reality.
the music is so loud.
some women are dancing
the wobble.
the children want to
get away from the
watchful eyes of their
mama.
when he left,
i wonder
how and why i say
such
an intriguing
theory.
statistics will tell.

For My Wedding
(larry john mcnally)
For my wedding, I will dress in black
And never again will I look back
Ah, my dark angels we must part
For Ive made a sanctuary of my heart
To want what I have
To take what Im given with grace
For this I pray
On my wedding day
For my wedding, I dont want violins
Or sentimental songs about thick and thin
I want a moment of silence and a moment of prayer
For the love well need to make it in the world out there
To want what I have
To take what Im given with grace
For this I pray
On my wedding day
On my wedding day
I dream, and my dreams are all glory and light
Thats what Ive wanted for my life
And if it hasnt always been that way
Well, I can dream and I can pray
On my wedding day
So what makes us any different from all the others
Who have tried and failed before us
Maybe nothing, maybe nothing at all
But I pray were the lucky ones; I pray we never fall
To want what we have
To take what were given with grace
For these things I pray
On my wedding day
On my wedding day

Wedding dress
The wedding dress had a royal elegance,
it beamed next to the morning suit,
shone with pride in the afternoon sun,
while the morning suit felt unsteady,
a little light headed and dizzy
at the sight of this magnificent robe.
Other suits and dresses
were dumb struck too, in its presence.
The little black number sulked,
the lounge suit sniggered
but the wedding dress just flowed across the room.
The shrug, of course, took the whole thing casually
as shrugs are prone to do, all nonchalant,
and je ne sais quoi,
as were the bride and groom.

Quatro Stagione
the autumn is the wedding
of a leaf and wind
the winter is the wedding
of the white and flake
the spring is the wedding
of a bloom and water
the summer is the wedding
of seasons that make
each year of a heavenly disguise
a place to beauty rise

Women I Know
Strong are the women
In my family.
Every last one...
Seem to have the strength,
To shadow some men...
As if they had none!
And f-i-n-e! Yes!
Beautiful with power.
Mothers who have raised children.
Some without their fathers.
To become themselves...
Strong and bright!
And dynamic in one's sight!
And yes...
They too,
Are f-i-n-e!
Some ask me 'why'...
I have no better half!
Why I am divorce?
And my relationships seem not to last!
I know the answer...
Of course!
Strong are the women
In my family.
Every last one...
Seem to have the strength,
To shadow some men...
As if they had none!
And the men in my family,
Are even stronger than some!
And...
Yes!
They too are f-i-n-e!
And I am left spoiled.
Wishing for one like them!
Not the men! !
But then...
These women I know and related to...
Are few in the market!
And I have stopped shopping...
For a companion to compare!
Beauty, strength and independence are rare.
And these women in my family have it all!
And even more to spare.
I would have to leave this Earth...
To discover someone not to compare,
To these women I love!
And we are related too!
This for me is so difficult.
For me to feel this...
Is so unfair!
However...
No burden is this do I bare!
But then..
To know so many women,
With qualities I like!
Cousins or aunts...
Of my blood 'everywhere'!
And joke,
I do not!
It's true.
Every woman I ever adored...
Has my last name too!
Yeeeessss!
God...
Please lift me from this curse!
hahahahaha
I can't like some I know...
Rehearse wedding after wedding,
After wedding after wedding!
Addicted to romantic delusions!
I know what I'll do!
I will move.
Build a hut in the Amazon.
Or the Congo!
And get it on...
With the monkeys!
Feeling free not to bother,
To ask for ID.

Hilla Marriage
In Islam
Divorce is the worst thing
Amongst the halal things.
God has made the custom
Of hilla marriage
With a view to
Discourage divorce.
In my view
If a man divorces his wife
Then wants to marry her again
He should marry another woman
Followed by a divorce
To marry his ex-wife
On the other hand
If a woman divorces her husband
Then wants to marry him again
She should marry another guy
Followed by a divorce
To marry her ex-husband

Marriage And Divorce
If marriage is a fortune,
Then divorce is a misfortune:
Failure at one of the greatest
Attempts in life.
Divorce is a miscarriage:
To abort the shared dreams,
Joys, and every fulfillment
That marriage brings.
It is a cruel rending of two
Intertwined, spirited hearts—
Leaving them to slowly
And painfully bleed to death.
Marriage fulfills, but divorce
Is an unfortunate waste.

An Old Fashioned Wedding
Interpolated in 1966 revival]
[FRANK:]
We'll have an old-fashioned wedding
Blessed in the good old-fashioned way
I'll vow to love you forever
You'll vow to love and honor and obey
Somewhere in some little chapel
Someday when orange blossoms bloom
We'll have an old-fashioned wedding
A simple wedding for an old-fashioned bride and groom
[ANNIE:]
I wanna wedding in a big church with bridesmaids and flower girls
A lot of ushers in tailcoats, reporters and photographers
A ceremony by a bishop who will tie the knot and say
"Do you agree to love and honor?" Love and honor, yes, but not obey
I wanna wedding ring surrounded by diamonds in platinum
A big reception at the Waldorf with champagne and caviar
I wanna wedding like the Vanderbilts have, ev'rything big, not small
If I can't have that kind of a wedding I don't wanna get married at all
[Coda:]
[FRANK:]
We'll have an old-fashioned wedding
[ANNIE:]
If it's not a big wedding I don't wanna get married at all

Wedding Bells
Wedding bells are ringing in the chapel
that should have been ringing
out for you and me.
Now down the isle you walk
with someone else on your arm
instead of me.
We thought in our love
we had everything
until he came along
and swept you off your feet
taking you from my loving arms.
Now up the isle you go with him
to take your wedding vows
as I stand watching,
just another face in the crowd.
I could say something
but I won’t,
as this is your wedding day.
I shall simply slip into the shadows
and then slowly slip away.
You have a new life before you,
one I hope will bring you joy
as the wedding bells keep ringing
for your wedding day.
