William Butler Yeats

A Prayer On Going Into My House

GOD grant a blessing on this tower and cottage
And on my heirs, if all remain unspoiled,
No table or chair or stool not simple enough
For shepherd lads in Galilee; and grant
That I myself for portions of the year
May handle nothing and set eyes on nothing
But what the great and passionate have used
Throughout so many varying centuries
We take it for the norm; yet should I dream
Sinbad the sailor's brought a painted chest,
Or image, from beyond the Loadstone Mountain,
That dream is a norm; and should some limb of the Devil
Destroy the view by cutting down an ash
That shades the road, or setting up a cottage
Planned in a government office, shorten his life,
Manacle his soul upon the Red Sea bottom.

All Are Precious

Every child’s, a precious one!
Every spouse, a precious one;
Every sibling, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every parent’s, a precious one!
Every student’s, a precious one!
Every teacher, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every worker’s, a precious one!
Every inmate, a precious one;
Every colleague, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Every person’s, a precious one!
Every life, a precious one;
Every soul, a precious one;
For, most have small, a family norm!

So, take all care of every life,
And don’t take undue risks at all;
Life’s most precious thing on earth;
For, most have small, a family norm!

Sharing Dreams

He had a dream of living a life of rustic idyll, to see and feel
seasons, so he bought a derelict cottage in pastoral Algarve.
Took his wife along, explained how the cottage would look
like when done up; she said nothing. With help of workmen
he began repair and life for a while was primitive. He saw his
wife was not happy, when she said she had go home to look
after her daughter, he understood. Months went, but a day
in February the home was ready, he had even acquired a dog.
Outside the almond trees were shedding and petals looked as
pink snow. Rang her, but she didn´t want to come and live in
his bucolic wonderland. "But I thought you liked it", he said.
"You never asked me, took me for granted, this is you dream
not mine…" The cottage was still and cold, his dog sensed his
dejections jumped up on his lap liking his face. He went into
the shed, collected wood for the fireplace, his dream was now
like an old coat too comfy to throw away.

Grant Us Peace, Father of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael

Grant us peace,
that we may not oppress our neighbors
Grant us justice,
that we may not enslave our neighbors
Grant us sanity,
that we may not torture our neighbors
Grant us mercy,
that we may not murder our neighbors
Grant us conscience
that we may not expel our neighbors

Grant us love,
that we may hunger for truth
Grant us discernment
that we may know what is ours, and what is not
Grant us decency
that we may return what we stole
Grant us courage
that we may admit what we’ve done
Give us strength to atone.

Ask only
that we end our silence.

Ballade Of Eternal Bliss

Here the sun shines soft and warm—
Caressing all in vales and on hill—
It gives a glow to every inherent form—
And reveals for every eye a thrill.
Of here they never get their fill—
For this is Bliss, an endless treasure—
Where our dream is the Lord’s will—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

The garden is a lush, green platform—
Big blooms with the fluffiness of chenille—
Songbirds’ music raise a storm—
Their feathered robes fill the bill.
Wings spread they fly away at freewill—
Along the curvy course of the river—
They seek the Lord’s grace with skill—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

The dream cottage, fancy for the norm—
With a stone paved path to the doorsill—
A neat little shelter from the storm—
Has a spice garden for basil and dill.
And there’s a gazebo for time to kill-
For when gardenwork calls for leisure—
Or even for the blessing of a drizzle—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

To some this vision may instill—
A yearning for the bliss in nature—
But the Lord is sovereign still—
And God rules by His divine pleasure.

Dreaming On a Concrete Stool

Dreaming On a Concrete Stool

I painfully remember the stool under tree,
where we, as newly arrivers to the city,
sat resting tightly in a lovely quietness,
hugging each-other in warm sweetness.

Tempted by the desire to dream,
away from the stool the image flew,
deep into distant desirable future,
as in fairy tales ourselves we threw.

What we had gone through said to ignore,
our past happiness fervently remembered,
a new dream were weaving once more,
when two drops of tears fell on the stool.

With the burning miss you to remember,
from a vague distance I returned again,
I saw the tree fully covered in frost,
and the stool had become an icy rock.

Everything had plunged into darkness,
seized by sadness, stiffed in loneliness,
feeling like a stranger into this emptiness,
how could I sit on that bitter coldness?

Scared to death, my eyes I threw
on that concrete stool once we sat,
as two jewelry stones in my image grew,
those two drops of tears I’ll never forget

New Year resolutions

One year gone,
New year comes.
Old resolutions achieved,
New resolutions planned.

We’re one year older, and
A year wiser.
We’re wiser, older, and
A year gone.

New hope and new vision,
Envision your dream,
Plan your dream,
Dare your dream.

Realize your dream,
Dream your dream,
Vision your dream,
Achieve your dream.

New resolutions here,
Old resolutions gone.
New lives, new you,
New Year, new resolutions.

New Year Arrives,
Happy New You,
Happy New Year,
Happy & Merry Year.

I Dream of

I Dream of...!
I dream of... A life without pain...
I dream of... Love that I can't explain...
I dream of... Eyes not plagued by tears...
I dream of... A soul without fears...
I dream of... A pure, unbroken heart...
I dream of... A hope of never growing apart...
I dream of... The smile on your face...
I dream of... A better place...
I dream of... The things I could never do...
I dream of... A dream of you...

A Dream Come True

I dream of a life
Where I'm happy and free,
A life with someone
Who's happy with me.

I dream of a love
A passion filled heart,
Between two souls
That will never part.

I dream of a smile
That never fades,
Through the darkest times
It shines through the shades.

I dream of a laughter
In a pure simple bliss,
I dream of all the days
I never want to miss.

I dream of eternity
With my special one,
A dream come true
For it's already begun.

When you came along
That's when I knew,
That I would be living
All my dreams with you.

Dream A Little Dream For Me

At night when you think through your day
Think on the things that you did say
When you think through the things that you should be
Dream this little dream for me

Dream of blue skies forever
Dream that we are a worthy endeavor
Dream this one dream so you can see
Dream this little dream for me

The world fades but I'm still here
Still living for you
I'm sitting outside beneath the sky clear
Just enjoying your view

Sleep well until morning comes
Live with the passion of a thousand suns
Tell me all the things that you should be
And dream this little dream for me

Dream of you through my eyes
Dream though it may not be much of a surprise
That while you dream enjoying the view
I'm dreaming a little dream for you.

Yes, dreaming a dream for you!

Dreams

We go to bed with a dream,
We get up with a dream.
All our life we strive for a dream.
All our life we dream.

It’s beautiful to live with a dream,
Though sometimes we suffer.
There are moments we scream
And life seems to be a tougher.

We all dream to achieve a goal.
Our dream is an elixir of longevity.
It’s an elixir for our undying soul,
It’s Gods gift and His charity.

The one who can dream survive,
A dream widens the world,
That one always feels alive.
Inside the brain a dream unfurls.

Calendars are just ruthless,
But we are still proud of our age.
Even being toothless (ha ha)
We dream to perform on a stage.

The book of life I cherish,
I try to reach my dream.
My soul makes it garish
And strive for another dream.

May be my dream won’t come true
As devil hurts sometimes
But the beautiful picture I drew
Will be the bells chimes.

So, dream, my dear friend,
Up to the last breath, up to the end!

Marijana

Marijana, Marijana who lives so far away.
We see the sparkle in your eyes on every single day.
They shine for us and give us joy
and we know that all is right.
We see the beauty behind the eyes
that creates a wondrous light.
If we are sad we think of you
and sadness goes away.
We keep you always in our prayers
and this is what we pray.
'Grant her peace. Grant her a life
that allows her eyes to see
the best that life can offer
to a soul as good as she.'

Cheesecloth

Her thin loosely gown looks very beautiful.
Like her heart.
Her silvery voice sounds like a wind bell.
My lean country lassie you are a Victorian queen for me.
I am your forlorn peasantry lover.
Though we have an age difference
My peaceable soul still cries as a nestling.
Please do not get nervous as I am going to the town to get fulfil my endless dream.
Don't worry I struggle there and earn more.
Before I get old definitely build a cottage.
And we can start a small enterprise.
Better cottage cheese as it's your favourite.
Please wait for me and don't go away.
I bought a silver ring and I am sure that fits to your finger.

A Dream Away

A dream away
Five in the mornin, all alone in your room
Door locked tight, private moon
No faces to face, no one to blame
Nonexistent inside this frame
(? ) take it on the run
Oo, yeah take it on the run
Uh yeah
Theres a cheetah walkin high
Liquid whispers, dragonfly
Charleston booties on painted toes
Drop the knot ivory soul
(? ) take it on the run
Oo yeah, take it on the run
Oo yeah, take it on the run
Because the good life is just a dream away
I said the good life is just a dream awaaaay
Choke emotion, all lose control
Chicken encounters fill your bowls
The lonely crowd is decomposed
Lost obsession, future froze
Well, take it on the run
Oo yeah, take it on the run
Oo yeah, take it on the run
Take it on the run
Take it on the run
Take it on the run
Take it
Cause the good life is just a dream away
Yeah, oo the good good life is just a dream away
Oo, oh well the good good good good life is just a dream away
Just a dream
Just a dream
Just a dream, dream away
(? ) the good good good good life
The good life is just a dream away
Just a dream
Just a dream
Dream away

0008 A Woman's World

She was artistic as a student,
sweet-natured, imaginative, not
overly ambitious; a good catch
for him, the fellow student with
the drive, the ambition, the great
family connections.

They married young; she did
what so many girl art students
have done: gave him all her
intelligent support, bore and raised
his children; and in the few brief moments
that she was granted for herself, took out
her student paintbox, and while the kettle boiled,
sat at the kitchen table, and beyond the view of washing-up
part painted that familiar view –
a jug of garden flowers on the kitchen window-sill..

and when he left her for
another strong woman who, however,
sculpted the cutting-edge new abstract thing
she brought up his children by herself

and when they left the nest, and she, now older,
had more time to give to paint,
she returned - as so many artists do –
to that motif, for them an eternal reminder
of that moment when the exalted mind
sees, beyond the kitchen sink,
a glimpse of that great heavenly view
beyond the garden flowers, where
she could walk into that paradise
that eternally awaits
the sweet-tempered heart..

and year by year, the modest
jug of flowers on the window-sill
became herself
and she
became that heavenly view

until the jug of flowers burst into glory
and she did what only ikon painters, praying, do
and gold and silver joined the rainbow paint
to point the way to an eternity
where kitchen sink’s now holy path;
that is more now than now

and she became,
the painting is,
a jug of Eden's flowers on a kitchen window-sill
and with all heaven in its sight

Big As I Can Dream

(montgomery)
I know they dont think that Ill amount to much
But your love has given me the magic touch
Just put your faith in me and strange as it may seem
I will build a dream for you
Big as I can dream
I know that they want the best things for you
That is just what I have planned
If they only knew.
Theres no mountain thats too high
I can ford any stream
For your love I can be
Big as I can dream.
Theres no mountain thats too high
I can ford any stream
For your love I can be
Big as I can dream
Big as I can dream
Big as I can dream.

Come, Pretty School-Girl!

On this rolling planet ever have you seen
A home so like a palace waiting for its queen? --
A dwelling place so fair,
So fill'd with treasures rare,
As the little white cottage on Evergreen Square?

Come, pretty school girl! lay your books aside;
Yes graduate tomorrow -- tomorrow be my bride;
My fortune share,
And reign queen there,
In the little white cottage on Evergreen Square.

Red as are the roses climbing on its wall,
Your cheeks of richer crimson shall out-bloom them all.
Your eyes (beyond compare)
A brighter gleam shall wear,
In the little white cottage on Everygreen Square.

Flow'rs of rarest fragrance all the year shall bloom,
And singing birds make music in your chosen room.
Come, breathe its balmy air!
Come, charm away my care,
In the little white cottage on Everygreen Square.

Eclogue

My flowery dream was a cottage by a riverside
and I struggled through my whole life to fulfill.
When I open the little windows
I could see the shepherd, cattle and sheep.
Oh! the greenery pasture.
My gregarious pregnant housewife,
she is in a hurry like a bee in the morning
and peeps out to collect manure for her flower pot.
She delivers her fifth child
I hope somewhere in the March equinox.
What else I want?
If life goes as a Nursery rhyme.

William Makepeace Thackeray

Ah, Bleak And Barren Was The Moor

Ah! bleak and barren was the moor,
Ah! loud and piercing was the storm,
The cottage roof was shelter'd sure,
The cottage hearth was bright and warm—
An orphan-boy the lattice pass'd,
And, as he mark'd its cheerful glow,
Felt doubly keen the midnight blast,
And doubly cold the fallen snow.

They marked him as he onward press'd,
With fainting heart and weary limb;
Kind voices bade him turn and rest,
And gentle faces welcomed him.
The dawn is up—the guest is gone,
The cottage hearth is blazing still:
Heaven pity all poor wanderers lone!
Hark to the wind upon the hill!

Inspire Days

The dream began, as many do,
With something up ahead...
A golden mountain there to view
And to it I felt led...
I climbed the mountain, slow at first,
And tiredness ensued...
My energy balloon had burst,
But then I felt renewed.

Fear left me and I felt assured -
And my heart beat faster!
I sensed the presence of my Lord,
Saviour, King and Master...
I realised He'd grant me strength
To help fulfil my dreams...
As if to give an extra tenth
To overcome extremes.

He came to me and held my hand,
I tingled and I wept...
For only He could understand
The hopes and dreams I kept...
When Jesus smiled, my heart stood still,
I trembled and felt weak...
Yet then I felt a sudden thrill...
He kissed me on the cheek...

This was the practice long ago,
A greeting for one's friend...
Yet deep inside, I felt a glow,
A light that knew no end...
Lord Jesus fills my heart with praise...
He makes my heart complete.
That's why I share Inspire Days
With those I meet and greet...

Lord Jesus is the missing peace,
Without Him each is lost...
Yet with Him, wonders never cease,
All obstacles are crossed.
Inspire Days are meant to share
God's blessing with God's team...
May God grant wisdom through each prayer,
Each vision and each dream...
