There is no law against composing music when one has no ideas whatsoever. The music of Wagner, therefore, is perfectly legal.
When I'm alone at home, I really prefer to listen to Wagner's orchestral music rather than any vocal music. I find it illuminating not to have to pay attention to voices in the recordings.

Light as a feather
she twirls, she spins
and that's before
the music begins.
The music's been playing.
It's not been heard.
But in her memory
her heart is stirred.
Since silence has come

Music is laughter as a sounding of the wind,
It always wants to make one sing, sing, sing.
Oh what beauty is the total heartful rapture
That creates a new melodious rhythm to capture.
